Staff have never failed to be able to help me find whatever I needed and without even the tiniest bit of impatience if I was having a hard time deciding! You can find everything you need for the outdoors, clothing, knick knacks, unique items and items you're only going to find in the North. I've never failed to enjoy shopping here that's for sure.

Every time I come visit my mom we stop in at the trading post. They have so many different knick knacks and souvenirs that we spend some serious time in this store. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, there is something to be said for small town businesses.

A local stand-by know for taking your special somone out to with the fireside grill and they sell update fishing licenses for the year to all the surounding area. Bait is available for a fishing trip on many of the surrounding lakes of the region.The staff are plesent peaple to deal with and is known as one of the towns go to places for peaple visiting the region. Many local crafts are also available and a great family atmosphere.

You cannot ask for more from a fishing store...expensive but it s a local shop so it s to be expected. The staff is amazing. I used to live in Elliot Lake and I was always going there. When I go back to Elliot Lake it is my first stop

I have bought from here for years, first time I need to return something and this is what I get: I recently walked into store, asked for a good downrigging rod and reel, they sold me 2 for nearly 300$. 1st day one rod breaks and nothing touched it, and other reel didn’t work at all. Second reel also stopped reeling properly one week later. (Reel won’t cycle, keeps sticking) , rod snapped just downrigging for Lakers. tried to return and they said it was my fault, and won’t even try to fix. , I called manufacture, they said that Elliot lake trading post had that on the shelf for 16 years. Told the store this and they said oh we’ve had it for 6 years. I was told I had full warranty and buying Canadian ( which this is made in China and distribution in Canada ) Store told me to go pound salt and manufacture at least offered to sell me another rod for 30$ Buying something bigger here, I would go elsewhere. I would not recommend this place for more than minnows or a coffee mug. Owner has no values.
