Excellent bakery on the main strip as you drive through Sturgeon Falls. Excellent staff. Donuts, pies, fudge, cheese. A large variety for everyone. Best of all is everything tastes fantastic! You're missing out on something if you just drive by without stopping in.

If you love traditional pastries and pies, this is the bakery for you! I love the pies, tarts, cabbage rolls, and meat pies. This place excels at traditional pies: lemon meringue, wild blueberry, cherry, apple, sugar, pumpkin, the list goes on and on. They also make "pets de soeur" (nun's farts) - a cinnamon pastry from my childhood that my grandmother used to make with leftover pastry when she was baking. Chez Jean-Marc also has great fudge and doughnuts. Not those airy things that a famous doughnut chain serves, these are just like the homemade ones my great Aunt Mumu would make. They have another bakery right beside the same store front that prepares gluten free baked goods. They have separate kitchens.

Excellent products especially the Salt caramel Carrot square. To die for delish. Cheese curds fresh and yummy. Tarts and cookies yummy. Prefer less crust and more runny inside tarts. Tried both Pecan and the Raisin tarts. Worth the trip for bread and many other items. Meat Pies, lots of frozen yummy dinners, Cabbage Rolls, l can't eat Pork so for me it wasn't great choice since most were with Pork and Beef. I'm sure others would enjoy them.

This isn't really a criticism, but ,I wish the whipped cream were little lighter and a little less sweet on the coconut pie, and I only say that because I ate 1/4 of it within minutes of opening the box. The butter tarts and donuts were amazing! EDIT: Since originally posting this review I baked one of the "make at home" mini pies. The crust was nice and buttery, the filling was made with lots of real wild blueberries. Not too runny, or too sweet.

BAD Jean-Marc BAD! This place makes everything taste SO GOOD, it's hard to leave the shop without trying one of everything, seriously. This place is like crack, once you try it, you'll be hooked and always coming back for Jean-Marc's buns, or his croissants, or his sweet snacks.

first time at this bakery. The service was so slow and the staff were unfriendly. The meat pies that I bought were mexican with a lot of ingredients (so they said). The meat pie pastry was very good; however, there was very little meat and a few beans in it....no other spices or ingredients that were listed. Frozen from the store would probably be better.

Walking around Sturgeon Falls while waiting for my truck to be serviced and decided to stop in. I am glad I did. It's a nice, little place with really friendly staff. There are not enough little bakeries such as this one in my neck of the woods. I love homemade, bakery style donuts. Im not a fan of the "industrial" donut. There is no substitute. I can find places for pies or cakes, even pastries, but not donuts. The donuts here are pretty darn good. I recommend trying a bunch lol. There are a host of other delights in this bakery from bread to rolls to other sweets like pies and cakes. They have it all. Prices are fair. A nice atmosphere. Quality product. You can't ask for more. And yes, it smells absolutely amazing in there! Worth the drive from Sudbury. Enjoy your day! ????

Literally the icing on the cake!! I live 3.5 hours away and it was my boyfriend's birthday (who lives in Sturgeon Falls). I called first thing in the morning and asked if they could make and deliver a cake for me. They put the owner (Dan) on the phone and he said he was more than happy to deliver the cake himself over to my boyfriend's workplace to suprise him. They simplified the transaction and the cake was DELISH!! I've also been in while visiting and had their pies, fritters, PB Nanamo bars... Everything is fresh and delicious! I highly recommend popping in and treating yourself! Thank you so much!! It made both of our day!

I was on my to Sudbury from North Bay and my father asked me to pick up some Cinnamon buns because he always gets them when he's Sturgeon Falls. We were so disappointed. They were dry. My father was quite surprised. He said there was no way these were fresh. The Cheese bread on the other hand was very fresh and good
