Last week I bought a fresh mango cake from Ruby's Bakery. It was so good. The cake was moist and fluffy. Mango was fresh and juicy. I like the cakes there.

Great little bakery! They make small batches of baked goods that are always fresh and always made with love. The prices are super affordable and the ladies at the front are always friendly. I've bought my co-workers here once and now they're hooked and they love it! They even bring home baked good to their families because they love it too! Also, from what I know, it is family owned so there are times when they family is on holiday and the shop is closed for days, maybe even for a week so make sure (if you're not in the immediate vicinity) to call ahead! But for the most part they are always open. Except for Tuesdays.

I’ve been purchasing birthday cakes and pastries from Ruby’s for over 10 years now and can say, they make the best desserts! If you like cake, but don’t like really sweet cake, then you need to try the fruit cake! The fruit cake has been my favourite for the past 28 years! Thanks Ruby for such amazing desserts!!

It is by far the best bakery in Edmonton. We love their cocktail buns, coconut muffins, Swiss rolls and many others. Everything are fresh and delicious. Their birthday cakes are very nice too and not so sweet. Very friendly people. Highly recommended

Buns are fresh and amazing, we always try to get there early because they only make so much per day. Would give them 5 star but unfortunately, the lady that works there is extremely rude, we go there almost weekly and she never smiles or greets you, like she cannot be bothered.

One of the only Asian bakeries with the freshest products. Don't be alarmed by the bare display cases. This should put you at ease that the product you are purchasing is fresh unlike other Asian bakeries. The tuna bun is my favourite, along with the coconut tart.

Wow! Went here last week on a whim and bought a coconut custard bun. It was the freshest and most delicious bun I've ever had. It was also full of filling. Totally beats Hong Kong bakery and Asian grocery stores like T&T and Lucky 97. It's a must try!

Love their bread and egg tarts...their selection is not as good as the HK bakery but taste more fresh and yummy..however the lady behind the counter is always rude? She won't greet you or say thanks... No manner at all... She will always look at you in a blank face... Couple times I tried to strike a conversation with her as I am the only one customer in store and she just ignore me... Ouch... If she is ruby then that's just sad lol Update: I went to Ruby last week and finally the cashier said hi and thank you!!! My previous review is 3 stars. Now I changed to 4! Hopefully I can see more smile!!! For food quality... It's good and tasty as usual! Their egg tart always sold out by afternoon. If you want to try it make sure u go when they first open!

They removed the plastic bag from the bread before handing out my order without telling me, didn't even notice that (all packed) until the oil stains started showing up on the outside of the paper bag. All Bread became dry and awful taste when I was going to eat them ( not enough moisture not soft anymore). Not sure why they removed the plastic bags, maybe they want to reuse them on their other bread again? Very rude service too. Anyway, Won't shop there again. No wonder Chinatown is dying.
