Their brioche buns and pastries are good and the presentation is great. I give this place 2 stars out of 5 because their selection is scarce for bread and their prices are outrageous (ex: $12 for 6 brioche buns and $7 for 1 pastry). I love supporting local and fresh but I can't afford this place. I'll keep doing the detour to go to the Italian Centre Shop. Better products and better prices. Sorry Pome Bakery! Womp Womp Womp.

The staff is always friendly. I did have a few issues with a couple of the things I bought. The cupcake's icing was just a sweet butter instead of icing. The key lime pie, which is a personal favorite, was rushed when being made. You can tell because there are tiny pieces of cooked yoke and grittiness in the custard; indicative of overheating the mixture. The chocolate passion fruit tart had an amazingly flavorful and tarty passion fruit jellied custard but the actual tart was very tough and thick when it should have been light and airy. I expect the prices to be higher since this is a specialty shop but the quality needs to be re-examined. Best of luck to the bakery!

Stopped here before an appointment in the area and wasn't disappointed! I got the raspberry mascarpone scone, and it was the most amazing scone I've EVER had! My only complaint is the prices are quite high, would have loved to buy more, but I guess you pay for quality and taste!

This bakery has an elegant décor inside. The pastry and such appear nice and flavourful, but when I bought some pastries I was only let down. The cinnamon bun was dry and lacked flavour, also the croissant did not have the buttery flavourful taste as others I have had. It is very over priced for the quality I received. For example if they took the gold flake off of there fruit tart, the price would decrease by at least $1.50. I would much prefer to spend my money at a bakery such as duchess or La Boule.

Thank you, Pome for making the best key lime pie in the city! I have tried many and yours is by far the best, and always a treat for Sunday night dinners with family. It is so handy that you are also open on Sundays--when other bakeries are not open, you come to the rescue if I need brunch items or desserts and bread. Thanks!

Pome bakery is a great place to go get specialty cakes. We had ordered a birthday cake for our daughter. It was beautiful from the outside and tasted super good. The bread was moist, custard filling between the layers was nice and smooth. The icing was well blended with no sugar crystals and real cream.

Purchased quite a few different desserts the other day to try for the first time. They looked appealing, however they were just awful in taste and texture. Very odd flavors. The crusts on all the desserts didn't jive well with the other parts of the desserts. Much of the my family and myself who tried them said they tasted like some cheaply made previously frozen store bought dessert thawed to look like they were baked/made in shop. Most of it was thrown out. Absolutely NOT worth the high prices and will never buy again. On a good note though, the service was nice.

Really cute fresh place. Very clean. Unfortunatly there is no place to sit inside. They do not serve drinks (coffee tea ect.). You can also order 8" and 10" custom made cakes and they bake a 10" cake daily as their 'cake of the day'. I will defiantly be going back!

My go to for all my bakery needs. A hidden gem in Magrath. Fresh daily bread, delicious double chocolate cookies, and the best custom order cakes in the city. The owner Ashish makes the most moist and flavorful red velvet cake I've ever hard. The chocolate mousse cake is rich and moist, but not overpowering in sweetness. A must have.

I had a first hand sampling experience from Sadhna and, the Bakery Manager/Owner and her colleague during the construction and trial phase of the Bakery. The products, especially the pastries and bagels were very tasty; a heaven for the sweet tooth :) The bakery is very beautiful inside; lovely blue tone and finish. The builders, Burhani Engineering and Construction did a phenomenal job!

I had Pome Bakery made a cake for my daughter’s 9th birthday. It was everything we hoped for…and more. Sadhna, the manager, was so courteous, professional, and patient with my requirements and in-person inquiries. I was unsure of my requirements and was admittedly nervous about the final product with the many ideas, requests and pictures in mind. She helped me with picking the right cake i.e. with selection, flavour and design, I admit they delivered in truly upstanding fashion!!!. They were timely and assured me everything would be fine. The cake was perfectly delicious and the decorations were spot on, not overly sweet and sooooo, very beautiful!. Their work was polished and the cake and frosting had a great flavor. Everyone in attendance was wowed by the work and taste and asked where we got the cake. Inside and out, the cake was great! My family and I will definitely be repeat customers (and I’m sure some of our friends in attendance will be also)

Hazelnut mousse was divine, raspberry scone, and double chocolate chip cookies were excellent. The cookies were soft, melt in your mouth - best I've had. Don't be discouraged by the bare shelves. You are guaranteed a fresh product unlike other stores - Italian Centre, T&T etc. who entice with abundant product which ends up being tasteless, and stale. People need to give this bakery/pastry shop a chance. It's premature to compare it to higher end ones - Duchess, La Boule etc. Offer constructive criticism rather than blanket harsh comments. It's tough being a new business owner in today's economic environment. We should support, and encourage rather than be petty. Groupon offer shows the owner is trying. If you're unhappy with a product, ask for a replacement or refund. I'm sure she/he will accommodate.

I came here today with my wife to buy some sweets as we were enticed while getting our Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes. The shop looks very appealing and grandiose when you walk in, but looks can be deceiving. First, we asked the staff if the cellophane wrapped cookies were fresh. The staff member nodded his head and didn't say a word. I proceeded to ask again if the cookies were fresh and they hesitated and then muttered yes under their breath. I felt the cookies in the wrap and they were as stale as a rock. I verbally expressed this to the staff member who then said nothing. My wife asked the staff member which dessert was better, the chocolate mousse or the key lime pie. The same staff member monotonously replied "It is your choice" and was not any help. Feeling very uncomfortable and unsatisfied with the service we opted for the key lime pie. Once we got home and tasted the key lime pie we instantly regretted our choice. It tasted like we were eating a bowl of batteries, a metal tangy taste persisted and we needed to wash our palletes of that horrendous flavor. I will never go back here again; horrible, service and even worse dessert. Save yourself time and money, take your business elsewhere.

If you are looking for some good quality bakery food, then stop at POME BAKERY for once and next time you will surely stop here without the second thought. Breads, tarts and butter chicken croissants are so fresh and amazing in taste. Highly recommended place for all your bakery needs!!!

Google says opens till 8pm so I went at 6:45pm. The open sign was on, 2 people were inside the store but the door was locked. They both saw me, didn’t even bother themselves to come to tell me the store is closed! Instead, they moved their hand trying to tell me it’s closed and let me leave! Professional service, and the place looks clean. Got a selection of tarts, pies, cakes and macrons pieces. Presentation is great and packaging boxes come in several sizes to cater for the size of the order. Everything was quite tasty, but had higher expectations for the taste of macrons. Not sure if that is because of the flavor that was chosen though. Perhaps other flavors of macrons taste better. The price point seems to be comparable to other stores with similar offerings. Likely to visit the place again.

I really want this place to succeed as the only competition in the area is the supermarkets but what I purchased today was very disappointing maybe because it was a Sunday. The cinnamon buns were stale and the cookies wrapped in cellophane were so old they crumbled as soon as they were unwrapped. Not impressed for my first and last visit!

Pastries just don’t compare to established places like Duchess for the same price point. i really want this place to succeed cause there isn’t much i the southwest that is very good at all, but the 4 items i tried were quite poor. Croissants were doughy, desserts were off. i’ll give them that the presentations and store front and design are all top notch. Just need to improve the product. i’ll give them one more try later this year and see if improvements have been made. a couple tweaks and it could be better

He is thief and he asked for thousand of dollars for their Lmia's and with no work. They probably earn money by selling their LMIA's not by their creativity. Very bad person i have ever seen in my life. Don't go to these thiefs.

I bought a pineapple cake for a dinner party. The gentleman at the bakery decorated my cake beautifully with berries and meringues. The cake was absolutely delicious, it was light and fluffy. The icing was rich but not overly sweet, one of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted. Even my mom loved it!

Baked goods were fine, not exceptional. Had an assortment. Very ex0ensive. But what turned us off was the unfriendly employee tearing the delicate baked goods off the gold foil they are normally served on to be put into box. This tears the pastry and breaks chocolate coatings. Why? Are they reusing them? Gross. Especially with COVID.
