If you want an amazing looking dessert for any occasion call them up and make your order. They carry many great treats in the shop. Everything is so wonderful. Pretty expensive macarons but tasty. They are the same price as the Duchess Bake Shop and the have better macarons... The brownie is ok. Nothing that you cant bake yourself. The tart was ok too... Honestly it was just as if you buy it from a grocery store.

Their choices and flavors amazing you can literally choose any flavor you can imagine and the cake is so moist and made with such quality I can't give it enough Stars! Every birthday cake we buy in the last 3 years comes from this Bakeshop and every time the quality is amazing not to mention all of the pastries and delicious homemade rolls and cookies definitely loved the jam thumbprint ones! They even stayed late for me to pick up my cake this year because I was running late and was unable to make it there by 6! I find their products to be a bit more expensive than they should be. This observation is based on comparison with other bakeries that I have used in Calgary. I’m new to Edmonton so I cannot compare with other bakeries here on price. If I talk about the three places from where I have bought cakes in Edmonton so far, this one is the best quality. But still overpriced! Another point that I want to add is that I was there to pick up my order at least an hour after the given time and my order was still not ready. I had to wait another half hour, standing there in the shop for my cake to be ready!

Husband ordered a surprise cake for my birthday. It was so fresh and flavours were rich and delicious. The chocolate ganache was very flavourful and divine, topped with fresh strawberries, and edible flowers. The pink stick was strawberry flavoured biscuit. The sponge of the cake was fresh, soft and vanilla flavoured, lined with yummy mango and vanilla cream. Cream was light and fresh. Prepared in shortest possible time. Results were excellent and satisfactory. Will definitely order again. Highly recommended. Thanks for making my birthday unforgettable.

I never give a high props review to anyone unless they deserve it; but these guys, deserve it always and beyond! I love their meat pies along with their spicy cheese and chicken selections! For those who are vegetarians, they do have one for you in veggies! As for their cakes, I don’t know where to begin! Their cakes are to die for, and always leaving me for more! The owner, his brother and their staff are amazing, attentive and will always go beyond to help you! Definitely 10/10 in my books and will continue to refer people to these guys. Was looking for good cakes online n came across ESM noting their high ratings n great reviews. Dropped by shop hoping to buy something to try but there were no cakes or pastries on display. Only a very nice man there to welcome us and chatted with us. All their cakes are made to order. After chatting for a bit, Shams got us a freshly baked marble loaf cake from the back. Was still warm. What could be better than a freshly baked cake still warm! Thank you Shams. We enjoyed that loaf cake so much. There was a nice crust on the outside. 1st time to have a loaf cake that had a crust. So yummy! Inside was soft n moist and even better, it is not so sweet like most cakes anywhere else. Definately a fan of ESM now. We'll be back! Place orders before u go if you expect to get anything.

This is the worst place to go for cake. We placed an order a week ago and they made many ugly chages to my cake without letting me know. They dont have good artist to make cake decoration so they use plastic decoration on cake which is ridiculous. He was very gentle when I order for cake and paid for it but I got big shock when I saw my cake. And finally they destroy our cake accidently and we were without the cake on our function because they did not have man power to make cake for the next day.

I saw the reviews and went to order a cake for my son's 8th birthday. My son was very very specific about the flavor and frosting, they were willing to work with what I wanted. Even though they don't do specific decorations, they gave me options on what they could do. The cake itself was so so good. Absolutely scrumptious. Soft, melt in the mouth with fantastic frosting. You could tell that it was super fresh. Will definitely be going back for more. Thank you for making my son's birthday special.

I ordered from ESM for the first time. It was my friend’s birthday. I ordered a Black forest cake with their signature touch and it was super delicious. I ordered a day before the birthday, although they were fully booked and getting a cake was nearly impossible in those circumstances, but they went above and beyond and helped me out. I ordered/purchased a 10" round chocolate cake, and it was $48.00. The flavor was spot on for me, just the right amount of sweetness, unlike the sugar blasting cakes from the markets. It was decorated very nicely, and they were able to provide next day service for me, which was fantastic. I'd recommend requesting it be ready for a bit earlier than you actually need it, unless you don't mind waiting for a few minutes while they finish it up. THAT'S how fresh it is!! Though I don't normally spend this much on a birthday cake, it was clear that it was priced accordingly for flavor and presentation. My mother loved it, and she's a tough gal to please!

We ordered a vanilla cake from here with vanilla and strawberry buttercream icing. It was beautifully done and all of the guests who tried it had only good things to say about it. The buttercream is nice and light and the cake itself is addictively tasty. It was $40 for an 8 inch, which is comparable to bakeries of similar quality I’d say. Even though it’s a drive for us, we’ll probably order most of our cakes from here from now on.

They use all fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch and you can really tell in the quality of the cakes. Also being able to choose exactly what your cake will be like is really nice. Quite disappointed in the baby shower cake we ordered from here. The cake looked like it was put together in 10 minutes and didn’t taste any better either. It tasted like it was boxed cake mix that was used, not to mention the sides were burned. For a cake of this caliber, you’d expect to pay about $10-$15, but he charged $150 for it. It was like you were eating bread - so dry and no flavor. I was actually embarrassed to serve this to guests at the shower. Not only did it taste bad, but the decoration/exterior was horrible. Tried to resolve this via text, but he wouldn’t even acknowledge the text - hence the review here.

I become big fan of their cakes. They are perfect in their work. I called them only 2 hours before and he baked fresh cake for me on time. When i saw cake for first i was shocked that how someone can bake such a beautiful cake. Great service. One should visit once at least.

We go here weekly for treats. The sausage rolls are amazing and a hit with the family. Samosas and other savory foods are of equal calibre. My son begs to get their brownies, which are truly divine. We get assorted sweets when we host and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, helpful and clearly customer focused. There is also a number of other imported goods for purchase.

My family are customers of ESM bakery for 35+ years. All our birthday pictures from 1980 to now have ESM cake in them. Their cakes are perfect and the amazing taste has been the reason for us to celebrate every occasion. We don’t just order their cakes to feed our guest but to make sure we have left overs so we can indulge in the next couple of days, that’s how good. Yesterday was my husband birthday and they made a cake for me on the day they were to be off to celebrate his own anniversary. Thank you so much and happy anniversary.

Stopped in today on a mission, once a month we choose a local bakery to support and today was ESM's turn. Unfortunately, due to Covid we were very politely informed that the Cakes and Pastries are special order. This is where I have to say, I have never received better attention as a customer than I received from ESM, even though it was made very clear, I was not planning on purchasing anything today. I was shown pictures of the work ESM performs, I was informed very clearly of what is typically carried in the store, I was treated better than a paying customer at other bakeries. We had samples given to us of two products that were being made in back (pretty sure they weren't meant to be samples) but both were amazing. After my entire experience, I have to honestly say, I purchased some premade items and will be trying them tonight with another family. However I cannot wait to place my special order and support this amazing & friendly business. I also cannot wait till we are back to normal and I can walk in on any given day and grab my favorites. If you have a need for a cake or pastry order that you can plan ahead for, I would recommend ESM, just because of the samples and customer service, but I also know the premade items will not disappoint. See you soon for my special order coming at you soon ESM. PS - ESM also carries the best imported balsamic vinegar in the city, support local.

The cake I ordered was very yummy, freshly baked and also aesthetically pleasing. Oh man!! I loved everything about it. As one who loves cakes and has tried many cakes from many places, this one takes the cake (lol). I have a kid whom I thought didn't like cakes, because she didn't always want a helping whenever we had any. Well, well, she loved this one and even asked for more. I ordered another type of cake, and I didn't think they could go any higher, they did!! I definitely will be ordering more cakes from here. It's a tad pricey, but definitely worth it. I would also like to add that the owner is a great guy, very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves a delicious beautiful cake.

I had placed an order with another cake place,they had messed up so when I went in Friday evening to pick it up ,they did not have one.I had been calling for 4 hours looking for a cake and this kind man had come to our rescue i called in at 5 pm ,telling him what had happened,he felt horrible for me because my girls first birthday was going to be cake less!!! He quickly reassured me he would save the day!! He made a beautiful amazing and delicious cake in a couple hours !!! With all kinds of add ons that usually cost more; aswell as when I went in there I had a bottle of water and gave that to me for free because of my stressful day.We paid,tried to tip him as well and would not let us.This is customer service folks ,this is what customer service looks like!!Everyone thar had cake agreed it was the best cake they had ever had.

This little hidden gem is such an amazing place! From the quality of the food and pastries to the friendly staff and service, I have been a very happy customer for years now. This is my go to place when I want to treat myself. Their prices are great and very competitive and everything is fresh and oh so tasty!!! The vanilla mille-feuille is my FAVORITE!!! When I got there they were just finishing up so they gave me a warm and fresh meat pastry for free while I waited. The cake was absolutely beautiful and it tasted even better than it looked.
