REVIEWS OF Brio Bakery IN Edmonton

Very good pain au chocolat. I always try this as my benchmark and I am looking forward to be trying out the breads!

Vanfoodiepharmily

@brio.bakery ft lemon curd cruffin . . There is a reason why there is always a line outside of this bakery. This light flakey pastry filled with just the perfect amount of lemon curd was such a treat! The Oliver Exchange Building is also such a beautiful and elegant spot! No wonder why people take their wedding photos there!

Talid Jalbout

Lovely bakery, the pastries are some of the best. All the puff pastry layers in the croissant were crispy and buttery, perfectly baked.

Americano is okay. They don’t have sweetener and only sugar. Not good if you’re diabetic. When we asked for sweetener, the response was terse and indignant as if we were silly for asking for sweetener.

Chi WaWa

Great addition to Oliver neighbourhood. Croissants and cookies to die for!

Monika Cupido

Everything we had was amazing!! I had heard so many people rave about Brio so I went to check it out and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back. Check it out - you will be glad that you did!

Jai Buck

Kind helpful staff, delicious fresh bread with wholesome ingredients.

Brittany

Amazing croissants, bread, and baguettes. Come early, as they sell out!

Madi B

Super delicious baked goods. Love their gruyère croissant and cruffins! Clear social distancing marked and respectful staff

Marcella Cassiano

Best croissant in the city! Congratulations ! I go to Brio bi-weekly and sample everything they have: these guys are working so hard to improve continuously! The best bakery in Alberta! Go, go, go! You gotta go early though! Brio, please improve your production planning, especially on holidays! Cheers!

Tamara Lynn

The baked goods here make me want to get up early and rise with the bread. The hazelnut chocolate croissant they have on Saturdays is the best I've had. They enforce physical distancing during covid, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Doug McClelland

The best bread in Edmonton.... period!

Nice pastries. My only critique is why open for so many hours a day if you run out of bread and pastries within 2 hours of opening and not make more for the rest of the day? By 10:30-11am there is no cruffins, no loaves of bread, and barely any selection of anything else, yet they are open into the afternoon. Just doesn’t make logical sense.

Walker

The best bread I've had in Edmonton. I wish they were open every day. I can't encourage you enough to go get a loaf from here - they're flavorful, have an great crumb, and are wild fermented.

Nora Romero

Excellent customer service , always busy .So good.

Jacquie DuVal

I had the pleasure of visiting Brio Bakery this morning and tried their goat cheese and roasted vegetable boat. It was absolutely delicious! I was super impressed. I also picked up some goodies for my family, including their chocolate croissants, croissant beurre, and ham and cheese croissant. Thanks for such a great experience!

My wife was in there at the start of the mask mandates for Edmonton. She had a mask on, however because we wear eye-glasses they fog up easily, making it difficult to see, she had to keep adjusting her mask because of it. The cashier and/or baker ask smugly if my wife wanted a mask, my wife said no, as she was wearing one. I'm not sure why companies now lost their compassion and sympathy with the customer, simply burning bridges for something that "may" keep everyone safe ‍ Needless to say, we will never be going back to Brio...

Victoria Laidlaw

Had the pain au chocolat - very very good! Dare I say, one of the best in Edmonton.

Paul S

Bread is always fresh, the seeded buns are really worth the trip alone! The owner is caring and super friendly, as are all the staff.

Jacob Friesen

Amazing flavour! Walnut raisin loaf...

I cannot say enough about this little place. We go every Saturday morning right when it opens and have tried every bread they have (and a few treats). It’s the best Sunday morning outing. I truly believe you could pick any of their items and be blown away. Everything is fresh and delightful. The staff are so cheery and friendly and helpful. The store is small, so not really a sit down place but it’s perfect. I wouldn’t skip this place. You’ll be missing out for sure.

I stumbled onto this place on my way to an appointment. I had some time to kill and I was pleasantly taken by this quaint little bakery. And oh! the pastry I had was so delicious. I will dream of the food and smells here until I return. The service was lovely and quick!

Awesome sourdough based bakery. Staff is super informed and willing to educate you. We got an original loaf to try for our first time and did not disappoint. Even our 2 year old loved it. Works great for afternoon sammies, breakfast, and dipping in soup. They also have some pastries - we happily had the oatmeal raisin cookie that hubby + kiddo shared. The size was great for the two of them. We'll definitely be back for more.

Julie M

Brio has amazing bread and also amazing pastries! Their different cruffins are to die for. Around Christmas time the eggnog cruffin was a personal favorite, but I also loved the pumpkin spice cruffin. I also love their olive bread and the diff varieties of Berry and nut breads.

Rose Scavuzzo

Julia Mart

Great bakery and amazing staff! Definitely worth checking out! Only complaint is that although majority of the bread bags are paper (and recyclable) the baguette does include plastic. Hoping that might be something that will change in the future as we all become more environmentally conscious. Will be back for more croissants!

Laura Kusch

Before I started making bread this place was my go-to. Now I've got to say my bread is superior (sorry Brio, no hard feelings) but they still have great desserts that I won't bake myself at home.

Gina Guirguis

Sherridon Routley

Good fresh bread, snacks and desserts. Sells out fast

This is an Oliver treasure. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best bread and amazing pastries. The staff is delightful too.

Excellent service and yummy goods. I cannot resist their croissants everytime I'm in there. Picked up a bunch of cookies for work today and everyone loved them.

Exceptional Bakery. I wish they were open 24/7 because they're that awesome. (BTW they're not open all the time though so make sure to check hours of operation). Their cruffins are delectable! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Kari Moody

Lovely bakery. Amazing bread. Delicious treats. I love it. Try the olive bread - or don't - and then there will be more for me!

Fresh pastries and fresh bread make this a great gem in the Oliver Exchange Building. I only wish they were open on Mondays as well. They have a good selection of different breads and offer slicing while you wait. I would be cautious in having your bread sliced there if you have a nut allergy since they do use the same machine for breads that contain nuts. The pastries are delicious. I enjoyed the cruffin, but it was a tough choice since they all look delicious.

Selina (Sphynxee)

If you go here, go nice and early, or plan ahead and call a day or two in advance for a pick up order! This way you won't have to worry about missing out on their best items. Personally, I drool over their double chocolate cookies, 1 they're massive! 2 they're still nice and soft and chewy in the centre with a slight crunch around the edges. Perfection. Their sesame bread and walnut loafs are sooooo good, highly recommend those. Support local and you won't be disappointed.

Ben Pike

Excellent California style sourdough bread and viennousserie

Henryk Sokolowski

Who doesn't like a good cruffin! They are so good here!

Cheryl Glattacker

We come here every Saturday from Sturgeon County to get Olive bread. So worth the drive. The cookies a delicious too!

Ty F

One of our favourite places in the entire city

Todd Hamans

Brio bakery has the best bread in YEG. Period. Todd is a talented baker and is a great person as well. Do yourself a favour and grab a Prairie loaf and a couple of cruffins!

What a lovely place to discover! We had a little lunch sitting outside. It was so awesome! My friend's litmus test for bakeries is a plain croissant. The croissant was pronounced as good any she had eaten in France. I was too busy cleaning up the crumbs to make any pronouncements. I will definitely be back dragging everyone I know.

Leigh S

Delicious! Get there early and loaves are still warm. Expresso too and a spot to sit in the sunshine. Cookies are amazing!

Alfredo Bozzo

Amazing bread

Awesome bread and baked good (especially the cruffins)! One thing to note is they sell out breads fairly quick. I would recommend going before lunch time (12 - 1 pm) if you want the most choice.

The best.

Jessica Kim

The sourdough loaves were decent and the cruffins were delicious. However the Christmas cookies were very disappointing. I bought the box and 5 out of the 6 desserts in the box were bland and dry. Save your money on those.

Rob Ritchie

Some of the best bread you can get in Edmonton, and a good place to shop for bread plastic/waste free

Christopher vander Hoek

The. Best. Bread.

Jon Reaves

They do an excellent job. Well above all other bakeries in the city. I wasn't impressed when they first opened. I have very high bread standards from spending a lot of time in Europe. I have years of experience as a baker also, so I'm always skeptical of new bakeries in Edmonton. It didn't take Brio long to get their process down, however. I go twice a week. I'm happy they got a slicer too, now I don't really have to buy bread anywhere else. My only complaint is that it would be great if they were open just one more day a week so I don't have a bread gap from Sunday to Wednesday.

Bryn Bratton Wall

Monique MacDonald

Best bakery in Edmonton!

Nikki Henkel

So much love for this place. Consistently delicious fresh baked bread and pastries, they are regularly adding new items, and I am always greeted with a smile and friendly service every time I come in. My Favourites are the cheddar + leek sourdough and basil pesto pinwheel. Or maybe the hazelnut brownie, or the cruffins, cookies, or cinnamon buns! Whether you prefer sweet or savoury baked goods, Brio has something for everyone!

Margareth Bergamin

The bakery is beautiful and smells delicious. I bought an apple croissant (or something like that) and it was very good. It is kinda of an apple pie filling in an amazing croissant dough. It was surprising and l would recommend.

Anne Pasek

Best sourdough in the city. Truly excellent

Matt Roberts

Brio makes the best bread and the best baked treats in the city. ???? ????

Grace Hamm

Lovely little bakery for a snack or for a loaf of sourdough!

Michael v

No selection, waste of time driving there. Yikes.

David Powell David Also David - Flipp Realty

The bustle in Oliver is all about Brio. From the moment you drive up you can see the smiles on people's faces as they walk out with coffee and some primo baking. We were luck to stumble upon this place on a visit from Calgary. I LOVE almond croissants and make it my duty to try them wherever I go. These are certainly amongst the best I have had. My girls loved the chocolate croissants and I must say that the ChocoCoconut Lime Cruffin was an absolute delight. (Cruffins are croissant pastry cooked in a muffin tin, they have various fillings inside.) The coconut one had a coconut cream filling, was dipped in chocolate and had lime zest on top. If we were going to be in town longer I would have definitely bought some bread because it looked amazing. This is a great little spot and the staff was so friendly and helpful even though it was packed. They took the time to explain the various products and did it with a smile. Some might be tempted to head to Iconoclast next door for coffee but the Monogram coffee is excellent! You have to check this place out!

Leslie Bush

Order ahead or get there early. If there are cruffins, do yourself a favor and try one.

Teresa Sturgess

The Sourdough Multigrain is delicious! Perfect for my Avocado Toast creation and dippers for eggs! We are bread snobs and this product delivers!

Husam Charkeih

Delicious food, wonderful staff! Their cruffins are wrapped up heaven, best time to visit- Saturday morning! So much selection =)

Amazing sourdough bread!

Daniel Wynne

Unique locally bakery! We were told sourdoughs are their specialty and we weren’t disappointed! Delish! Thanks

Deborah Crominski

They have the best cinnamon bun in town! The caramel with it… so well-made. I also love the sourdough, the chocolate croissant and the cookies. The cookies (chocolate chips!) are a mixture of flavours - carefully chosen spices. Not overly sweet, it’s just amazing!

Roselyn Gray

One of the best bakeries in the city.

We come all the way from St Albert to get the olive bread and other goodies! The quality is the best I have seen and the taste is fantastic. It’s a really great spot. No preservatives and the bread lasts. How does it get better!

David Lee

Super friendly staff, fresh bread right at opening times with lines out the door. Prices are a bit on the higher end but not exorbitantly expensive; it’s worth it for the quality of bread and pastries these guys make. A medium prairie sourdough is my weekly go-to!

Joshua Fleming

Great products and a great addition to the neighbourhood

Cute bakery and cafe with a variety of baked goods!! Very aesthetic, highly recommend coming here

Chantelle Harley

All I can say is that I work dangerously close to this place ????. Hands down the best croissants in the city. Make sure to try the ham & rosemary if it’s available - it is absolutely heavenly!

Kay Kad

Meh. The cashier wasn't very nice to me and to me that's all that matters. The chocolate croissant I got was ok. It was flaky but nothing extraordinary. Bon ton bakery is better. The staff was SUPER nice. They have way more variety of baked goods. And the price is better because you can buy croissants and other stuff in packs instead of only being allowed to buy them individually. Their almond croissant (which I got for 50% off because it was old and I arrived close to closing) also tasted better, even though it wasn't as flaky. It was old and still had flavour.

Emily Lynes

Delicious bread and pain au chocolat! I'll be back for an almond croissant soon!

james chan

Great customer service(emailed pre-order for curbside pickup) and very accommodating staff. Really made the purchase effortless. Thats on top of the awesome baked goods. Definitely going back as often as I can ????

Manon Latta

Super friendly owner/staff and the bread is awesome. I like the olive sourdough loaf - crisp on the outside but very moist on the inside, with chunks of quality olives throughout. I try to typically limit my carbs but I can’t resist the bread here! Nice new gem in the neighbourhood. Additional parking can be found on the side of the building
