HAIR! I have gotten many products here before that were high quality. However in my vanilla and raspberry meringues I found a dark hair. I thought it was mine at first but then I saw that it was actually engrained within the meringue. Disappointed unfortunately. Otherwise the meringues tasted good.

Grew up on Bon Ton Bakery & even though I now live in Calgary I stop in most times I come to visit my Mom. We used 4 of their cakes for our wedding deserts. I also appreciate how the staff remembers that when we order pretzels for my mom that she's the lady that looks for the ones with extra salt.

Bon ton bakery not only has a wide range of baked goods and desserts but also friendly staffs, cozy atmosphere and good selection of bread spreads, chocolate goodies, and salad dressings. I got the heritage sourdough bread, chamomile+rooibos blend tea, and vanilla mille feuille. I've tried all as soon as I got home and fell in love with the bakery. I won't likely buy their tea again since I've had cheaper tea blends that tasted equally good. Their mille feuille was not as crispy as the ones I have previously tried but it was actually one of the best I have had. Sourdough bread was awesome. I need to go back to the place and try their coffee and other desserts!

Visit this morning for first time. Got French bread (crunchy delicious!) and small pastries.... Have tried only apple one but so far extremely exquisite and flaky! It's a an unusual and out of the box bakery! If anyone wants to taste the real ingredients and no extra sugars then it's a must go. Prices seem to be bit more but I guess that's what you pay for original tastes. The breads seems very tempting but we only tried their pasteries and Rhubarb castrada. When you enter the bakery make sure to take the number and then wait for your turn and meanwhile you can also choose the wide selection of tasty deserts. The clerks were very friendly and professional.

Had a turkey sandwich. It was pretty decent. Served on bread baked inhouse which seemed fresh and flavorful. The Saskatoon relish on the sandwich was okay but not great. Would return to try other sandwiches. It is a bit pricy though so be aware of that going in. The breads look very good. It seems busy so I would imagine everything is very fresh with high turnover.

Stopped in for the first time last week and was so impressed! Delicious baked goods, coffee, sandwiches, and provisions are all available here and very reasonably priced. The storefront is clean and well organized with friendly staff :-) I will definitely be returning!

Wonderful bakery, with a great selection of goods, as well as jams and other spreads. You can also get some very tasty sandwiches and other snacks, and a good cup of coffee as well. Lines are much shorter than going to Duchess, while the time taken to craft good baked goods is comparable, if not quite as fancy. Well worth a visit.

I went in today at 9:25AM . I was at the end of the line around the building but patiently waited to be in. I experienced what my boss was doing every time he comes on Christmas. For my 11 years working with them , we always have pastries from BON TON during the holidays . Now that he’s not able to come home due to covid 19 , I have to do it for their mom. I usually buys here also for our snack after mass service at our church before . Those old ladies knows immediately where I bought those pastries . We all love the LEMON TARTS.

A gem of a bakery in Edmonton with everything made from scratch daily using local ingredients. I only scratched the surface, but I'd recommend eating whatever bread you buy with their sweet chili spread. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful!

Its also as if they are annoying that someone might take their time deciding which to get, and them having to wait on me.. 3 people the day I went in not like me or anyone else was holding up the line. I was really disappointed to discover that this bakery sells pre-frozen cookies, and many other products are frozen as well. I don’t think that I could go back for this reason. Their prices are high, and I would expect nothing less than fresh products at all times, especially from a bakery of this caliber.

A real bakery with real leavening process; that is already more than the average lame bread you get in most stores, even Cobbs. The sourdough is fantastic and the rustic loaves are just perfect, as is the caraway rye. I could go on and on. And the customer service is phenomenal. I have never had a bad experience here. Even if I have a bad day and I have to wait in line in the cold, they somehow manage to always make the day a little better.

Offers online ordering for easy in-store or curbside pickup. Tried their biscotti (yum), square egg bread with sesame seeds (soft and tasty!) and their cinnamon bread (a slice is a seemingly lighter alternative to a cinnamon bun!). Arrived there at around 9am-ish on Saturday and there was a line of about 10 people. Line moved quick though!

Omg! If you are just thinking about visiting this bakery - stop thinking and just go. Tip - get here early! I came at 7-20 am (10 mins before door opened) and there was a line up of 5 people. Tip #2 - if you are there for the first time - take your time - explore, see everything - selection is amazing! From baked goods to fine French pastry, vegan cookies, chips, salsa, jams... Omg those jams looked good! Tip #3 - get your ticket! There is no physical line up. Person supposed to grab a ticket - server will call ticket # and that's how people are getting taken care of. Overall - amazing place. Simply one of the best bakeries in town. Their rugelach's are delightfully delicious, full of flavors! Almodine croissant is worthy every calorie gained! Small pear Amandine - perfect texture, perfect crumbliness, perfect sweetness of the tart and pear glazing. I eyed chocolate monkey bread - but it was too much for me - will come back here for sure and recommended for everyone! Suggestion - scones! Scones were missing... Add scones!

This place is amazing. It was recommended to me by a good friend who tries out lots of different places. She is a trained chef who knows her ish. So i went and tried out a couple of their sweets m & i was completely blown away by the caramel thing (the fancy one not the cupcake). I will definitely go back for the caramel thing (sorry forget what its called), and try something else too. Go here- you will not be disappointed.

I would give this place a 4 star but the times I have gone in, I found the customers to be snooty which decreased my experience. Also, there is no automatic front door. If you do venture here, I would recommend their baked goods; specifically muffins and cakes. Also, try cream cheeses from the fridge. Cant go wrong!

I ordered from Bon Ton Bakery for curbside pickup before Christmas. It was my very first time experiencing them and the quality and craftsmanship that they put into their breads and bakery items is unbelievable. Their croissants are mouthwatering and delicious. They are as close to what you would eat if you were in France. Bon Ton is now the only place that I will get bread and other delicious items from. If you haven’t been to BonTon you haven’t experienced a great bakery. Lots of baking supplies, the patisserie case is so loaded with great selections you cannot go home without something. The bread is amazing. From whole wheat and whole grains to white. Cinnamon rolls to die for. Friendly professional staff. Even with the COVID rules they’re very efficient. I don’t even mind waiting outside for a bit to get in and be safe. It’s a great bakery to visit and you should find everything you’re looking for. I recommend it to everyone.

My favorite bakeshop in Edmonton. There is something for every occasion and taste. Usually a line because they strictly adhere to COVID guidelines. Only go on a weekend if you must because it's often a very long line. I go on a weekday between 4:00pm and 5:00pm and it's a much shorter wait. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

We've made our last visit to Bon Ton. We have been loyal customers for years but the product has gone so far downhill over the last few years that it's just not worth it anymore. The quality has gone down and the prices are always going up. And they were already high. It's really a shame because ethnic bakeries are getting harder and harder to find. For new customers the store may be fine. But for older customers, they know what it used to be like.

As a new Edmontonian, it was one of the warmest welcomes I've received since I moved here. The staff here are passionate and it really shows in their product. Was disappointed with the service. Needed to make a quick stop to grab some pre packaged cookies. It was very busy so Grabbed what I needed from the display table and went to pay. I Was told that I needed to still grab a number for counter, order (Even though I had nothing to order) and wait till everyone else ordered their bread , buns etc. I was pressed for time, so I told her I did not have time to wait I just wanted to pay for the cookies and she told me next time to make sure I grabbed a number and waited. At this time of year, given how busy the store is there should be a way to just grab what is needed from the Koehler’s, or displays and not have to wait behind everybody else are making large orders.

Excellent service, High energy, Quality food and above all else an enjoyable shopping experience. The staff will make it know that they are there to serve you your selection between cheese cakes and breads in a timely fashion with outstanding service. Non of the food looks more than a few hours old even by the end of the day. Everything looks just as presentable as if it came from back just minutes before, your arrival. The store front also has everything accessible, stocked and presentable.

I recommend Bon Ton Bakery. I purchased carrot cake for a birthday. The service was excellent, I was provided with storage and serving instructions. The cake was amazing, loved by everyone at the party!

If you have an over abundance of money and dont mind paying ridiculous prices for bakery items then this is the place for you. They do have line ups especially on weekends where you have to take a number but you won't find me there anymore. Simply unaffordable for the average Joe or Jill. Used to be a customer for years.

I was really disappointed to discover that this bakery sells pre-frozen cookies, and many other products are frozen as well. I don’t think that I could go back for this reason. Their prices are high, and I would expect nothing less than fresh products at all times, especially from a bakery of this caliber.

The staff always seems miserable and rude at times; it seems they'd rather be in the back baking than helping customers.
