Worst cake I have ever tasted from a bakery. Dry, flavourless sponge cake and a gross phoney icing. They promised my grandmother they used real buttercream and homemade cake recipes. Not worth the money. For the price, you expect a good quality cake that’s light, fluffy, moist and delicious. That is not what B&A Bakery delivers. They give dry, crumby, bland cakes. Go else where for a great cake.

I took my wife here for the first time and she was very happy with our purchases. The bread was fresh and had that nice chew you can only get from bakers who knows what they're doing. Oh, if they have fresh pretzels on the counter, buy them and eat them right away. Life is too short to miss these. We will be back.

Not the same place from a few years ago. Many products look like they are outsourced from other providers. Many desserts look to be from Italian Bakery, which have two of their own locations 10-15 minutes away.

Took a chance on this place and was sorely disappointed. They had very little selection, most of which looked dry, burnt, and/or old. I picked up some cupcakes that looked colorful as they were one of the only things they had that I could get more than 2 of, but they were completely disgusting. The icing had so little flavour all you could taste was the food colouring, and the cake was dry and flavourless. I have had better cake from a gas station or walmart. Not worth the money, they went in the garbage after one bite from everyone that tried one. I was not impressed that the person serving them was handling food without a mask in a pandemic either.

I knew as soon as I seen it the shop from the outside yesterday that it was authentic as it gets! The food is absolutely immaculate. A must go to bakery in Edmonton. Eddy will give you great service everyday! (Except Sundays, Understandable especially considering the blessed food ????)

Purchased a Cake for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. The cake was beautifully and elegantly designed and decorated plus tasted absolutely delicious!! It was light and wasn't too sweet and was the talk of the party!! Thank you so much Hana for the amazing service!!! :)

Absolutely amazing Black Forest Cake! I ordered one for my son and daughter-in-laws birthday and they did not disappoint. The product was fresh, very tasty and everyone loved it. I also purchased a dozen donuts which were also a big hit! I had forgotten what fresh, pure ingredient donuts tasted like, so so good! Customer service was excellent and I am glad I read the review about cash only, as I made sure to have plenty on me!

Ok so I ordered a strawberry short cake for my Nieces Birthday...the juice from the strawberry juice that I requested was not drizzled anywhere on the cake there were very little strawberries and for a cake that fed like 12 to 15 people was ridiculously over priced it costed me $65.00. I will not order from this bakery again...Gard for the price they charged me I could of made 12 cakes and the strawberry drizzle juice would have been throughout the cake. I am very upset that the cake was dry and not very much flavor...do not recommend this bakery to make a strawberry short cake!!!!

We recently moved into the neighbourhood and I have fallen in love with this bakery! The baked goods are amazing, especially the pretzels, cinnamon buns, and bread... We haven't yet tried the other baked goods but I'm sure they are great.

Cake and filling was super tasty! Maybe great for birthdays but not fancy wedding cakes. The spacing I requested was plastic pillars or acrylic plastic spacers & showed photos, unfortunately recieved styrofoam that was crumbling from being cut and the florist could not put her flowers in properly. It's not what I hoped but it tasted great!

Ordered a cake for my mom's 65th birthday party on Oct 22/16 and it was the most amazing cake for vanilla (I am not a vanilla fan but this cake was crazy good). I told the lady to do what she thinks would be best and she created the most beautiful cake i had ever seen.

I went here for the first time today and was pretty sure that I walked into heaven based on the smell alone....Once I took a bite of the chocolate covered donut I knew for sure I found heaven. The prices were extremely reasonable, the selection amazing, the staff hilarious and helpful. I suspect this will be a weekly trip now.

A culinary gem. Immense variety of wonderful fresh-baked goods. We loaded up before going to a friend's for brunch. Everything was wonderful. Great, cheery service from the young lady at the counter. Baker hard at work in the back. Prices very reasonable. Combined with the fantastic Delton Sausage House next door, this little commercial area is a gourmet jackpot. Go!

Nothing memorable. Average butter tart, and rum ball. Vanilla slice had no taste. The raspberry, and carrot cake slice while moist were uneventful. Low quality pastries, wouldn't go back.

Not very professional. Forgot to make my daughter's birthday cake. Were offered a generic cake that was nothing like what we ordered. They tried to fix the cake very poorly and obviously rushed. It was so disappointing! We took it home hoping at least the taste would be good but it was terrible. It was really dry and plain, grocery store cake mixes taste better than what we got. Will go somewhere else next time we need cake.

So I ordered a cake 3 days ahead and agreed that I will pick up 8:30 AM. I went a few minutes late on pick up day and cake was not ready at all. Guy in the counter said they called me 5 times the day before to let me know, then the cake decorator came out from the back to say they called me twice the day before. First, they were caught with their own lies. Second, they did not left any message at all in my voicemail box. I had two missed call from a 1800 number the day before. Third, not a single sorry from them even if I had to wait more than 30 minutes for the decorator to finish decorating the cake. And fourth, I said the cake is for a guy colleague yet they wrote his name in pink icing. The cake taste great and officemates love it so kudos to that, however, when one is running errand on company time and has to wait unnecessarily then no, i will take my next cake order somewhere else. I was supposed to order two more cake for the following week but change my mind after the experience. I was not impressed with the customer service at all.

Best Bakery in Edmonton. Hanna & Ed the proprietors of the bakery are wonderful. Their customer service and attention to detail in all they do at the bakery is First Class!! My family orders their cakes all the time; especially the Mocha Cake my favorite. Super delicious. Their croissants are superb as well as their Cinnamon Buns. Rye bread - German Style - best and most tasty in Edmonton. I highly recommend this bakery to all in Edmonton.

Went in to get some donuts. The cinnamon knots were fantastic. The lemon, & raspberry filled powdered one were also good. Fun fact had T.H. donuts and ate 3 in 1 night as they had no taste. Had 1 of B & A donuts, had great flavour & filled me up for the rest of the night. Pay for the B&A donuts. Fantastic!

Very bad experience with this store. I will never order again from them . I called them for a birthday cake for my sons birthday, showed them the picture from their Instagram they said they will do it ! Went to pick up the cake it looked so cheap and unprofessional at all , paid 130 for a cake tasted like cheap stores caked. I hade to go buy a new cake from different stores. Never ever again .

Had a custom cake made for my girlfriends 40th birthday this past weekend. They made it exactly like the picture I showed. The fondant was smooth, cake was light and the raspberry filling and white chocolate mousse filling delicious. Everyone raved about it and the birthday girl said it was the best birthday cake she ever had. Definitely will be going there again for my custom cakes!!

Very disappointed, and will not return. I ordered a dozen vanilla cupcakes for a work function days ahead of the pick up date. On the day of pick up, I arrive at the bakery for the 1:00 p.m. pick up time, and the clerks says he tried to call me earlier. I checked my phone, and he had tried to call at 12:15pm, only 45 minutes prior to the scheduled pick up time (and, he did not leave a message). He tells me they "ran out" of vanilla cake batter the night before, so were unable to make the 12 vanilla cupcakes. Instead, they made 6 chocolate ones, and offered me 6 pre-made cake slices from the display. As the function was at 2pm, I felt I could not risk going elsewhere to find something suitable, so had to accept what they offered. Then, they had the audacity to charge me full price for the cupcakes and slices. Not a good way to run a business. I work and live in the area, and will never return there, despite the convenience of location.

I ordered 2 cakes from here and every time I received the cakes they were so beautiful and delicious. I get so many compliments about how the cake tastes at my parties. I also found there prices are very affordable and she was works with me and keeps in my price range and gives me what I want. I also like that it is a real business so I know the cake is made in a professional clean kitchen. Both times too I ordered the cake last minute and she was able to do it, most places you have to order so far in advance! Order from there you won’t be disappointed!
