They really need to spend a little more effort on the drive through. Last few times it has been 30 plus minutes from the time at the drive in order board to time I recieved 2 blizzards..... pretty unacceptable considering they were both in a freezer before we even got the the window.....

I am not much of a fan of their hot food, with a few exceptions of course. Dairy Queen is the best frozen dessert place i know. Milkshakes, Icecream Cones, Blizzards, Sundaes, Banana Splits, or Ice Cream Cakes. No matter what you choose you can't go wrong. I have not had any problems with the employees at this particular Dairy Queen. Friendly service and reasonable wait time.

Stopped in on July 13 th for onions rings and drinks. The onion rings were grease ridden and tasted rancid to me, I could not finish them. I would not even venture a guess as to when the fryers oil was last changed. The drinks were great. Won’t be back

Come here on the regular, to get our weekly blizzards. I waited a good 25 minutes in the drive thru and then got my melted ice cream to top it off... not a great experience. Don't worry about my melted ice cream.

Today we ordered a medium Coffee crisp blizzard and a small chocolate dipped cone. I was mildly disappointed when about 1” of my blizzard was just plain vanilla ice cream. However, I was more annoyed that my sons dipped cone had nothing in the cone, so it fell off almost immediately. I really didn’t expect any of these issues because we’ve had the lakeshore DQ since I was a kid and never had such an issue. It was definitely not a good first impression of this new location.

You cannot beat the $6 or $7 meal deals that DQ offers on its value menu. You can't get a burger, fries, drink and ice cream cone or sundae for desert from anywhere else for $7. The ice cream cakes they sell will be the highlight of a persons birthday everytime.

If you're not fussy about being served by young immature adolescent, improperly-trained kids, go for it and eat your ice cream. The young Staff rarely wears gloves when handling food including bananas, rarely say pleAse or thank you and usually serve up sloppy versions of advertised specials. There are much better locations out there like the one at Champlain place in Dieppe.

I ordered a chicken burger and fries tonight through 'skip the dishes', my house is less than 10 minutes away and once I received my food, I instantly regretted ordering and spending my money here. My fries were cold and uncooked, and my chicken burger was completely raw. This is unacceptable and I am completely turned off from ever ordering from here again.

Food is a tad expensive for what you're getting. No one here seems to know how to properly blend a blizzard because the bottom of the past 15 I've got all have had 2 inches of regular ice-cream on the bottom and all the good stuff on top. They also charge you for adding topping like tomatoes and pickles on to your burger. If I get poutine or chili cheese fries they never put enough and it's always super dry.

I returned 2 days later showed my 1/4 pound cheese burger that had no burger or cheese yet manager wouldn't talk to me... yes they gave me another burger yet I deserved a face to face with there manager....when how did they miss both burger & cheese when whole time no one was inside or more importantly in the line up???? I brought in a coupon on my phone and showed it to the staff after she greeted me. She wasn't sure if it works so she turned to her supervisor/manager dressed in blue uniform. He glanced at it and said it doesn't work at this location so I told him it will only work at this particular location since it stated on the coupon. He stared at me for a few seconds and he read the coupon. His eyes sparkled as he found something on the coupon. Then he quickly told me that the coupon states I have to bring the printed version, he looked at me with contempt and walked away immediately. (I didn't notice the printed part but had my mind set on saving some trees) The staff was nice enough to apologize about the situation. I got some cold desserts based on the staff's attitude. But my husband and I were disgusted by the manager's attitude and the way he handled the situation; very immature and unprofessional. This is a good place to be If you want to be insulted.

Went in for food with my girlfriend tonight and was served ice cold fries and overcooked burgers, an amazing combo with some ice cold gravy. The service wasn't terrible, but I don't think I saw a single cook wash their hands between handling the mop or broom and my food. Do not eat here.

This is the only DQ in town now, and with covid preventing their dining area to be open, their drive thru is quite congested and is even blocking traffic sometimes. It's often a long wait just to order, but it's fast enough once you get to do so.

My husband and I just ate at this location on Island Hwy location and it was awful. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 11:15am today October 7th/18. The burgers were all dried out . It was like they had precooked the burgers before we even ordered. We spent 25.00 there and it was horrible. I will never go back there. It's no wonder McDonald's kicks Days butt. Very bad.

Normally I love dairy queen. Came here two times. Drive through is the slowest I've being in. Long wait, food was great the first time. Second time its like my burger was sitting out for too long, the paddies got dry at the edges, and the cheese was somewhat melted. Like they took old paddies, and microwaved it. Will not visit this location again.

On December 20th 2018, during the huge Nanaimo power outage, my son and I stopped at DQ hoping for some dinner. I have to say, these young people running the restaurant that night had their work cut out for them. They ran out of buns, and eventually had to stop people coming in because they ran out of food to cook. The whole time we were there (almost an hour wait for food) these kids showed that not only did they have their poop-in-a-group, (sh*t together), but they kept good spirits and worked together to get everyone fed, and remained calm, and smiley, and professional the whole night. Talk about stress!!! They didn't show it, and being someone who spent many years in food service, I am super impressed. They all deserve kudos!! And raises!! Jayne

I requested a personalized cake with a personal image on it. The staff were pleasant and helpful on the phone, great service with email (to assist in sharing the image for the cake) and in person the staff are polite and amazing and equally great service for the drive through. They help many local initiatives in the community and they have a great respect for each other as co workers but great employee support from management protecting their workers from any rude irate individuals. Especially helping to teach and protect the youth that are employed or the stressful times of Covid. We never had any issues ever with our frozen treats or fast food. I rarely have encountered a business that has such quality of products, services and employee spirit. I commend the people working, managing and owning this establishment.

I am disappointed with three blizzards I purchased, the staff did not mix the ice cream properly half vanilla ice cream, nor did they turn the blizzards upside down I could of got them free! Nonetheless a waste of hard earned money people need to take pride in their work when in the customer service industry. Perhaps management should pay closer attention to the employees attitudes!

I’m wondering how it’s my fault that they forgot my fries, drink and sundae when I ordered the meal. I was handed a bag and assumed they did their job. My bad. When I called back I was told I could come back and pick it up. Sure, why don’t I just waste my time and gas to come fix your mistake. Or, I could be put in “the book” and get it next time. That really doesn’t help me feed a disappointed child right now. You shouldn’t have to but, check your orders! This place will be keeping my “free” order that I’ve already paid for. Sad customer service!

The restaurant is not in a great location which does not allow it to have a drive thru and it is a small place with limited seating. We visited today about 1230 and there was no where to sit down and had to get our food to go instead. The food was ready fast enough but I ordered a number one with no mayo and when we got home it had extra mayo on it so that was a bummer. The chicken strips were good and fries pretty fresh. All in all we will probably go back but not our favorite.

The last 3 times I have went there. The burgers and fries were “cold” and “soggy” Burgers should be juicy and fries crispy. The drink is the only part I enjoyed. The ice cream is good. Decent quick eats for fast food. Not alot of flavour to the meats, but for fast food it's fine. Atmosphere is quiet and chill, the drive through I tend to get the best service from, but I would recommend if you just want a quick bite for cheap or good ice cream.

Interesting that neither the person serving me, nor the person in the back making the food, could be even remotely bothered to actually wear their masks properly (both noses completely exposed as they laughed and talked to each other, over my food). Many good experiences here, staff don't become upset if you have a good allergy and happily accomodate. Drive thru can take some time though but the outcome is a consistent ice cream that doesn't instantly melt.

Good value if you buy the meal deals. The staff aren't very friendly and although I had already paid and my meal was ready in advance of someone who came in before me, the manageress made me wait. I think this was because the other person was a local and I was from the U.K.

Dissapointed. came through drive thru at around 3-310pm today. ordered ultimate 1/4 ponder, reg oinion rings and a six piece chicken basket with gravy and a diet pepsi. EVERYTHING was cold.
