We have been getting the sponge "fruit" cake (it's a very light cake accented with fresh fruit and whipped cream) for every birthday in the family, it has become a tradition. The cake is delicious, I have never found any other that compare.

Always got cakes from this bakery for almost all family occasions for the past some years now. The family prefers cakes to be simple, sans fruits, just the sponge and icing and kam-oak has never failed to deliver. They are consistent in flavor and the best part is how well balanced the sugar is. Above all else, in my personal experience, going here enough times to be able to say the women/staff who work here have always been a pleasure to deal with, they are kind and friendly and I hope that continues. Today they only had fruit cocktail cakes readily available but they didnt let me leave empty handed and offered to bake me a cake the way I wanted. It may not have been a big deal to them but things like this is why I as a customer like going to such a place. Thank you for a wonderful experience always, especially today. Do recommend others to give it a try.

Harvinder was very kind! I ordered my 3 tier wedding cake and she showed me some pictures to pick from. The cake arrived to my venue immaculate and on time. My guests complimented on the vanilla sponge & raspberry cream filling. It was delicious without being too sweet.

I was in utter shock at the lack of customer service from this bakery. The woman who was helping me make an order over the phone was extremely rude to me and unprofessional. I had called back in regards to inquiring about a cake on short notice, and instead of simply politely telling me they were unable to do it, she began to yell at me. This is not how you treat a future client - I will not be giving my business to this bakery.

Horrible customer service. Store was supposed to close at 6. I got there are 5 and the lady was on the phone talking about her personal life and someone creating drama in her personal life. After 15 minutes, i said excuse me.. can i place my order. She said we closed at 5 and turned away. I couldnt believe it. She made me just stand their for 15 minutes waiting. Also as she was talking on the phone she was eating whilst working on something she was making. Gross!! Totally rude and per her conversation, had alot of drama in her life.

Fruit no egg cakes r yummy n fresh! Unreliable business hours, as they open and close whenever it's convenient for them. I placed an order for a cake pick up at 1pm, I called before leaving house, and the lady on phone sounded surprised and said not ready n to come at 130pm to pick it up. Needless to say, unreliable and unprofessional. Not returning.

Haven’t had a cake from here in quite a few years. Was always excellent when chinese owned and then owned by Indo-Canadians for past 20+ yrs. Wanting to support local, I went at opening to get my all-time favourite Fruit Cocktail Cake. I was told to come back at 2pm as none were ready made. Contrary to previous reviews, there is cut up cantaloupe, honeydew and strawberries in the filling, as well as beautifully garnished on top. The cake is light and not overly sweet as a sponge cake should be.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. Do not order from here unless you want to encounter extremely rude staff who yell at you for no reason. I called back asking about a cake on short notice and instead of politely telling me that it is too late to make the cake, the woman who answered the call, i believe her name was Harvinder, rudely YELLED at me saying it’s too late. She proceeded to continue to yell at me, lying that I said I would call back in half an hour when I never said that. She also did not tell me that i had a time frame to call back in order to have the cake made on time. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

This is the best bakery in town. My family has been getting our cakes from them for the last 15 years and they always deliver exactly what you have ordered. We have a lot of diabetic people in my family and the cakes from Kam Oak Bakery are perfect for us as they are always low on the sugar content and contain fresh fruit. Absolutely amazing place with amazing people. High recommend trying them out.
