As you know, we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Bakery is classified in the category of Filipino restaurant.
Their siopao is so bad that you can't even finish eating it. I even asked if they have a sauce for the siopao, they said no, it is already "malasa". It's not "malasa", it's malansa.
Food is very authentic and affordable!
We just ate there tonight and the food was so good especially the buko pie also the waitress was good they served the food very well.
Bought the Ube cake this week for my birthday. Was expecting ube preserve in between layers but the macapuno topping hit it. Whip cream and cream cheese icing (i guess ) was perfect as it wasn't too sweet and didn't melt even if it was left at toom temp . For the price of $45 (cant remember maybe $40) Rather than me slaving in the kitchen, it was worth it. I'd say it's better than Goldilocks'.
Nice cozy Philippino restaurant that serves yummy food. I'm often taken there by my Philippino friends and they just handle the ordering. All I do is just be there ... eat... and pay my portion lol Never had to worry about what comes since so far nothing disappointed me
Good food
Food was good. Plenty of space inside (dining) and outside (parking). Service was fine. Edit: The recipe has changed from the last time I provide a positive review. Now all taste the same but not in a good way. I'll have to change this from a 4 star to a 2 Edit 2: So we had lunch at this place roughly 3 weeks ago and the recipe has been changed yet again but this time positively. I have updated my review from 2 star back to 4. The sizzling plate was good, the crispy pata was good. I would note recommend this place to y'all reading this.
Good Filipino food.
amazing and good service
Love the food!
Nice selection of food though the waitress should be replaced. Doesnt pay to the needs of the customers or have a general idea of what they may need after theyre done eating. Maybe hire someone who is commited to their job and not just trying to get easily paid by doing nothing but the basics. Id order out because the food is still tasty.
We went on a Tuesday afternoon and place was quiet. Ordered goto, tokwat baboy, tapsilog and shanghai. Best goto I’ve had. I wanted a lemon but cashier was busy and kitchen person lent me my lemon ???????????????? Fair price and amazing food ????
It’s very expensive for the portion of food they serve while the food tastes average. Service is also not that great too and they’re quite rude and insensitive. I gave them 2/5 mainly because of the ridiculous prices for their small portion meals
Good food. Very clean and nice ambience.
Average food, overpriced and small portions
Not gonna come back there. We just get off from the ferry and we go straight there at 7:15pm October 19,2020 and the lady said they only accepting take out. Really disappointed!!! In the signage outside said close at 8:30 or 9:00. The lady was very rude. And im very upset.
Food taste old. Frozen food they just thaw your seafood kare-kare. Bbq has after taste. I was expecting atleast they will serve you good food. Never ever eat here again. Dessert if okay.
Quite off in terms of price visavis quality and service.
For the price it is not worth it. The food is mediocre & small portions... the set up is cold (not inviting or homey). There are other Filipino restaurants around the area that definitely gives you more bang for your buck... for a whole cake alone is $45 .. and for 6 people for boodle fight is $200.. really lol. The staff is ok the servers seems to always be in a rush to turn the tables even though there's barely anyone in the place and the host at the front seems to have an attitude. All in all if i had to describe this place as a whole... I'd say its COLD.
Our go to Filipino Restaurant near our place. Whenever I crave for Kare Kare, Sisig and Dinakdakan, this is the place. They have awesome baked goods too from hopia, Ube is my favourite to Brazo de Mercedes. Food is yummy and affordable, service is great too
During lunch hours, there is almost nobody in here which is perfect if you want to bring in a huge group. High ceiling, large space to accommodate at least 100 or so people. Food wise, good quality. Everything I tried was pretty decent, especially the crispy pata. I liked it better than Max’s Restaurant. Customer service could be improved though, it felt like I was talking to a robot haha no emotions yet super polite.
Great food and clean place. A bit pricy and small portions compared to other filipino restaurants around. Nice baked goodies!
Haven't found a filipino place I prefer.
Yummy but the serving is so.little. when we ate at the restaurant, the serving was good for 2-3 people. When i bought the same dish for the same price the serving was 1/3 of the order on site. I feel robbed. I will not eat there again.
i try that in richmond 1 year ago and so very delicious . especially the sisig and their garlic rice and also grilled squid....
Great filipino cuisine. Was recommended by a couple of local Filipinas and was not disappointed. The food was wonderful and had unique renditions on classic favorites. The service was fast and courteous and the prices fair. Salamat!
I have to say pin pin a cross the street it's better.
Ordered Tofu Pancit for take out which was not on the menu. They happily accommodated. I enjoyed it very much. The aroma of garlic was really strong if you are fond of it. I would’ve much preferred it though if there were more vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, mushrooms among others not just carrots and celery. Food always cooked fresh. The staff are friendly in person and over the phone. F
Their crispy pata is good
Tasty delicious Filipino food
Have an event here and customer service is very bad. Our guests kept on asking me what’s going on with that staff (there supervisor) because they noticed she kept on dropping the chairs and also the plates. We don’t have any problem with there foods cause they’re all good no doubt about it.
Good food!
Finding the place is easy, ample parking. The restaurant is clean staff is friendly very good selection of food and reasonable prices.
Very yummy food and nice people over here
Really Good Filipino Food. Friendly staff 100% will recommend to my friends and family
great food
Got there at 750 pm. Food was great servers was fine. Food was very fast, we ate well while my children are still eating they took he" s food away and started to clean the table. It was a mistake non the less a grave mistake like they were eager to leave the place at 830pm the time show they close at 9pm on wednesday. So my advice eat there early so you would not hurry to go out the door during closing time. Or let the customer know they close early on the nights they want to close so to avoid this thing from happening again.
Good food!
Great Filipino restaurant food taste good service is good.
Always satisfies food cravings
The food is good but prices are a bit expensive and serving is smaller compared to other filipino restaurant. We had our breakfast here and the soup that comes free with the platter was really good just like the one served in a karinderia back home in the philippines. Will try their other menu on my next visit.
Freindly service. We were not familiar with the cuisine. Tried a coconut pie
Very Disappointing service????, Kumare Restaurant only have 2 waiters because i only saw 2 service crew, we wait for 50 minutes and my kids are hungry already, Theyre serving the ones who has large amount of order first as i am observing it! 2nd????, Foods are very expensive but not good enough on 1 order bowl, not like the other Restaurant here in Richmond. Cheaper but Satisfying! Im not coming back at Kumares, and i wouldnt recommend them..Food is Gold here..????
Authentic Filipino food ???????? will recommend to others and nice service and staff ????????.. Good experience over all. Needs to improve the washrooms ????. Following COVID-19 protocols ????
Filipino food . Delicious love the boneless milk fish and garlic fried rice. Price reasonable. Place big good for groups. Friendly staff
All foods are very delicious and tasty. We really enjoyed eating here !
Good food and good customer service ????????????
Very good food. Very good service. Conveniently located (I've been to the Richmond location and North Delta location. I've had better halo halo but this doesn't lower my opinion of Kumare.
This is by far the best Filipino Restaurant. The dishes are authentic Filipino cuisine, compare to others. Guaranteed satisfaction.
Love filipino food. The best
Expensive and not worth the money. Seafood kare-kare repeatedly gave me an upset stomach. Won't be returning.
ordered Bistek tagalog for dine-in which is sour tasted like it's going bad. I told them when i was paying and they insisted that they would just re cook it for me and that it's fine. it was not! I saw them put their finger in tha sauce and tried it twice and still insisted for me to take it. they were impossible to deal with so I just payed but I won't ever comeback! WONT RECOMMEND!! Bad customer service!
Great tasting Filipino foods! A bit pricey for everyday meal though. Would recommend having more combo meals on their menu.
Lumpia Shanghai is pretty good!
Ordered a dish to go along with our dine in so by the time we finished eating it would be ready. A large group came in and we were completely forgotten. I literally had to bring my dishes to the counter to ask for a doggy bag, then had to plate it myself. Then they forgot my to go order so I had to wait another 30 minutes. I enjoyed the food but would not go back due to the bad customer service.
Quality remains during the pandemic. Safety protocols don't get in the way of the top-notch baked goods and restaurant dishes. Quickly ordered pancit bihon for lunch, takeout. Sit down service was still available at this time. Consistency between this restaurant and their Richmond location. Very pleased!
It was our first time ordering take out at this restaurant and we got tapsilog, bangsilog & their palabok. The palabok was okay, however the tapa was pretty bland. Their bangus (milkfish) was pretty small compared to other filipino restaurants and it was lacking flavour. They also didn't provide the vinegar sauce that normally comes with ordering silogs. Not sure if this is the same for their dine in or they just don't put much effort to their take out orders.
Foods taste like home away from home...I love the Crispy pata ????????????
Great food
Service was a little lacking. Atmosphere and cleanliness is great. Food is average.
One of the Very good Filipino dishes that you can find in the Surrey/Delta area. Meals are prepared and cooked as per order so they are fresh out of the kitchen. There also some Filipino desserts available if you're looking to indulge yourself. Service is also very good and fairly quick and reasonable. Definitely will keep coming back.
Enjoyed breakfast here. Eggs, rice and beef.
Wish they had a bigger bakery selection... baked goods we did get were good though.
Very Good Filipino food! NICE and very clean!!! Staff very accomodating... ????????
Food is good but not so good service during lunch time experience
The waitress was friendly and the food we ordered tasted okay.
Very bad customer complaint response by owners. We will never order lechon again from this store. The lechon skin was not edible at all because it was so tough and even after reheating it was not chewable at all. The owner does not want to listen our explanation and did not even apologize. The main reason they said that's why it was not good is that we were late picking it up from their store by few minutes. Good quality Lechon should remain good even several hours after cooking. We suspect this was an old lechon maybe resold to us from the other day.
OMG watch out when you are paying Debit or Credit Card, the cashier will ask you to choose 12% as a tip. As far as I know its up to you how much tip you want to give and it depends how good you like the food and how you like the service.
I went here with my Filipina friend, she said the food was great compared to other Filipino restaurants. She was right! The only thing is the service was okay. They were busy that day so maybe that's why but the server seemed rushed and overwhelmed. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the delicious Filipino food!
Service is sooo bad
Absolutely delicious! My first time having proper Filipino food, and it did not disappoint. Great service, highly recommended!
Family friendly place for those who misses Filipino home style cooking, affordable pa!
Tasty good food but poor service. Reasonably priced.
Great food, great desserts, great ambiance, great service!
No good services
Very delicious meals ????
Service was slow as they only had 1 server for the lunch rush. Small portions and prices were higher than normal. We ordered Karekare, crispy pata, tortang talong, crispy pompano with rice. The karekare was good, but smaller portion. Ended up ordering another one as there was 4 of us. Crispy pata never arrived so we just cancelled it. It would have been good enough if they had better service.
Some pieces of the Lechon Kawali ordered seemed re-fried or re-heated. They mixed it with the freshly cooked pieces. You can see the difference because it look dry unlike the newly cooked ones.
First time customers on recommendation. We were the only sit in customers on a sat.evening, not busy, yet service was pretty nonexistent. Counter man brought menus right away but no pleasantries. Another woman brought water and took order. Food arrived quickly but not once did anyone come back to check on us nor refill water. Went to counter myself for take out boxes and to pay. Have been to Kubayertos a few times and service is very slow so we are wondering if this is customary. Food was good and prices reasonable, will probably try one more time to see if experience is different.
Awesome place if you looking for philippino food
Ordered 3 items from here , they gave me a time to pick up . Ended waiting an extra 45 min as cool didn’t cook full order . People came in after me and pick up time was later then mine , they got there food first . Not even apologetic for the wait.
Good food
We placed an order for pick up. On the day of pick up the food is not yet ready. I need to wait for almost 1 hr. The food is pricy compared to other Asian restaurant. The service is not good.
Delicious Filipino restaurant and reasonable priced.
Very delicious crispy pata and great service. The rice and green beans in coconut milk was also a very nice choice for side dishes.
Lechon is not good dont order it... they dont show the computation for the tip..they just proceed to bill you and just be shocked....maybe need to ask our consumer rights for this...
Their lechon kawali is over fried there's no more fats on it and the bulalo doesn't look and taste like bulalo why is it full of ginger??
People might say it's overrated, but it really isn't. Legit the best Filipino food south of the Fraser river, and be sure to go on the weekend for their Cebu style lechon.
***Really Bad customer service in Kumare Richmond*** Since dining is restricted, I called to order for takeout the day before Mother’s day as I knew it was going to be busy. I called shortly after to change the pick up time half an hour earlier which was acknowledged. I have to reiterate... one of the staff members said it was ok. The next day, I was there at 11am, the time I had changed to (originally it was at 11:30am). I was told to wait several times without anyone even explaining what was happening. They knew I didn’t speak Tagalog but I understood pretty well when they were talking between themselves saying “when you change your time, you lose your order!”. It was soooo unprofessional. I didn’t get any explanation or any apologies at all, at all!!! I waited half an hour and got my order at 11:30am. To think I even tipped them beforehand when they did NOT deserve thatl. I understand that Mothers day is a busy day but do you really have to treat your paying customers this way??? Take out is the only business that restaurants have (if no patio seating), that’s it, that’s all you have to do - very brief interaction with your customers and you don’t even do it well. I really like crispy pata but I think I will just get it from Pinpin or Little Ongpin next time. If you don’t mind tactlessness and unprofessionalism, you’re okay here.
the service is slow and the cook roland is a homewrecker and I can proveit this guy's maniac
Food taste delicious
Excellent food and service
3 stars due to high lunch price. Tasty food, the chicken in my Kare Kare had so much skin, not crazy about that. The Curry chicken was tasty, more veggies too, but same thing, with the skin on the chicken.
I NEVER ENTERED IN TO KUMARE RESTAURANT. I AM GOING FOR LAUNDRY NEXT TO THE RESTAURANT. THANKS
Worst Filipino restaurant. Ordered hot kalamanse but water was not hot at all. Asked them if they can re-heat and they responded we can only re-heat using microwave. That is for 3.75 per cup. Lechon kawali came after lunch in a small plate. All our orders did not have taste. When they were picking up dishes from other tables, they just throw them in their plastic bin and made so much noise. Worst, worst ever. Will never be back. Avoid if u can.
Very poor service(or lack thereof). Front desk women are almost rude even. Over priced average food.
Ordered food yesterday, workers were all grumpy and just left my order on the table. Honestly, if staff are burnt out, don’t take it on your customers.Very expensive for such a small amount of serving, couldn’t believe it’s all worth $100! Horrible experience and what a shame to be in Filipino retaurant as Filipinos are normally welcoming…will never go back in this place.
This is the worse service I got in my life. These two Filipino ladies never finished anything and would have the audacity to tip herself without letting us know and told us to just put the PIN number and the bill got up to $100 without us even knowing until the receipt popped up. If I could give this location 0 star I would. We were ignored so many times and we would asked her to help us and walk away. This place is a sad excuse for a restaurant. This puts a bad name on Filipino food and restaurant. Filipinos are supposed to be very hospitable and this restaurant is no where near any kind of customer service. Even McDonald’s give a better customer service.
Nice ambience, reasonable price , good food and friendly staff.
Mango cake was good but overpriced
Yummy, taste like home
Great food!
Dont even try to go here at this restaurant.. worst filipino restaurant ive ever been to.. high priced small serving worst customer service food is mediocre. Spring rolls is all wrapper and tougher than a cardbord.
Pre-ordered our meals so when we got there they'd be ready. But they didnt even prep them so still had to wait 30+ minutes :(
Delicious food and friendly staff
I eat here often. Great Filipino food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Bakery items are a specialty.
