I miss Max's place in the morning now that we have moved to Kimberley. Stopped in on Friday to pick up a treat for another local business, the staff are always so welcoming and positive in the morning. Any of the food options from sandwiches to quiche, muffins to cookies are wicked good. Myra loves the espresso. Thanks for being awesome. On a side note the store looks amazing in the winter time with Christmas lights on the street and the windows all fogged up in the AM! My favorite from here is the ham and cheese quiche, best enjoyed in the morning, out on the patio, with the sun warming you.

A nice place for a tasty quick bite. With all of the choice of coffee places in town, this is one of nicest. The pastries are fresh, the drinks are well prepared and the service is quite appealing. The overall atmosphere is that of a homy cozy place. With it comes the warmth of some home baked treats and some well brewed warm (or iced) drinks, add a touch of friendship and you are all set for an adventure for your taste buds. It can get a little too cozy when it's really busy but it's also a good way to make new friends. The price is not bad but in the upper scale area, which is to be expected with the quality of the products. I will return to this location as well as to the addendum location at the hospital.

I always feel panicked at the till to pick what I want, no matter if there is a line or I am alone. The servers have gotten more rude and condescending the more I go. They seem to hint at tips when their attitude is lousy and they do nothing to serve besides rush any decisions you have to make. I especially think the red head server is especially rude. I have left when I've seen her working before. But it has now gotten to the point I don't want to go to Max's Place at all. I LOVE supporting local. But i get better service and prices at Timmy's. Good news is the owner is amazing and the pastries are great.

i love this place but one of your workers I hate waiting in line and hoping I’m not going to get that Roxanne I know she has special needs but she has been there along time every time I order a drink from her she always have to ask one of her employees to make it ? Why can’t she make drinks i think it’s time that you guys need to teach her I feel you guys don’t have faith in her but one nice thing about her she’s always smiling and her bubbly personality I just love it it’s the only reason why I keep coming to this place because of her

We happened upon this bakery while on a business trip to cranbrook and we are so happy we did. They serve our favourite coffee (Kicking Horse) and even sell it by the bag. But the real highlight of this place is the service and the ah-may-zing cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing ???? ???? ???? quite literally the best cinnamon buns and icing we have ever had, and we went ahead and ordered a dozen that we are picking up fresh tomorrow morning on our way out of town. The service was the friendliest, warmest, most helpful service we have experienced anywhere in a very long time. We will be back here every time we are back in town and we highly recommend it!

Great cinnamon bun. Latte was okay but they don't have whole milk (only offer skim and 2%!!). Customer service person was efficient but totally NOT interested in any interaction. I ate my bun drank my small latte and left within 15 minutes. Not at all like my last visit a year or so ago!

The cashier was rude and told me they had no gluten free food when they did, leaving me hungry and my bf to eat alone. so I had to wait in line a second time and eat alone. They don't have proper signage for gluten free food and the staff seems untrained and uninformed. I would not recommend this place.
