REVIEWS OF Rockaberry IN Côte-Saint-Luc

Katrina Hodes

The pies are the best

Denny Luis

That Red Velvet cheesecake was perfect. Definitely going again for that.

Hussain Witwit

I’m a big fan of rockaberry pies/cakes! I always recommend their pies! I was disappointed that they discontinued my favourite one “chocolate lasagna”, it had everything, chocolate, cheese and cake! But they still have a lot of other alternatives. I tried the new red velvet cheesecake last time and it was delicious!!!

Shoshana Wilder

Very nice ambiance to hang out and relax with friends. Love that it closes later than most coffee shops around. The pies, in my opinion, are not that great, considering it's a Pie place, but I def would go again, had a great time there.

Joel Mensah

Loved the Oreo cheese cake

Melodie Cohn

Best cheesecake in town. Hands down.

Masa Alrefai

Rockaberry is high up on my comfort food list. Such amazing, heavenly, calorie dense treats to wash away all your sadness. So many options to choose from! I love the Nutella pie and the strawberry shortcake! It’s a must try specialty if you have a sweet tooth like me! You can also get a whole pie for takeaway which is great if your invited for dinner or a party.

Sophil

What they do have is delicious. More variety wouldn't hurt.

Manon Sheffren

Love love the Truffle choco cake

leto BG

Good variety of cakes and the staff is very friendly however I caution you to consider buying a full cake instead of being lured into purchasing two slices for example. As of March 2021 the cost of two slices after tax is over $19! Why the most expensive pie is around $30.

Josée Lanue

When I am not there talking so load it is clearly the perfect café. Don't worry about it. It's too far from my place. You will be at peace.

Jin Yeow

Nice cosy little place. Perfect for a lil date or simply hang out with some friends. Funny staff!

Mike Porcelli

One of kind pies you just can’t get anywhere else in Montreal..delicious!

Steph U

Sure, the decor in here is a little kitschy, but the pies are and have always been delicious. Huge servings by the slice.

Martin PApl

Very good cakes

Michel Lacaille

Loaded on carbs. The pies are awesome. And the portions gargantuesque

Michael Metzen

The place to go if you want to have a really good pie. Lots of different kinds from crumble to cheesecake. They also serve other food like sandwiches or salads. The staff is friendly. I love it.

Mohammed Nabil Alsharqawi

A great place for having a cup of tea while enjoying a variety of delicious cakes

Karem Gonzalez

Excellent place to have a coffee and a long conversation with a friend. I had a sandwich with a salad and everything was fresh. The desserts are amazing. Not for someone on a diet ;)

Maude Poitras

Best cheesecakes! Different cheesecakes available. Generous pieces. Strongly recommend sharing with someone. My personal favourite the Apple caramel cheesecake crumble!

Stephanie Gregory (Stephanie Gregory)

Pie is fantastic, price is great considering the size and quality.

Angela Villar

Red velvet cheesecake is the best!!

Louis Jezsik

Oh, man, the pies! A lot of people find the cost to be expensive. By the slice, it certainly is. Instead, buy a whole pie to take out! So good! So fattening. :-(

Rodrigue Jbeily

One of the best dessert places in town . The variety of cheese cakes is so big , the stuff there just know that you need some time to choose what you like . The atmosphere is very cosy and superb . You just cant get enough of those delicious cheesecakes and pies . Its a perfect place for sinful treat or a cheat day if you re on a diet . The service is fast and the ratio price to quality and quantity is good .

Mohamad Al Sadoon

Great assortment of pies and cakes with huge portions.

Sara Valcourt

Love this place! However, it's quite small so there might be a little wait. Their desserts are worth it ????

Imma Ienaro

Nice lunch menu. Great pie. Super kind and attentive waitresses.

이도현

Jojo loves their cheese cake !

J Bisping

The terrible thing with such a marvelous dessert place is the impossibility of modulating portions - I was unable to order dessert because the entry-level portion is 850 calories or so.

Pooja Patil

Amazing desserts, great portions

Deva Asch

a big disappointment! i came for a piece of cake after dinner and had the hazelnut chocolate cake, took a bite and really didn't like, it tasted old and just wasn't good. i told the waitress that i didn't like it, she said that i can choose another pie but still have to pay for this one because "it is not our fault, you chose it". that policy itself is a fault. my understanding of a customer service is that a business will do their best to please me, so i will be back again. this obviously didn't happen and i will not go back again and also will not buy cakes here again.

ElizabethV (BeautywithLiz)

If you're a cheesecake lover like myself, just get yourself to a rockaberry's and don't even question it. You won't regret it. The apple crumble cheese is to die for.

Gord Robertson

Great pies. Apple crumble is fantastic! Great friendly service!

Josie Cammisano

Fast and friendly service. We all enjoyed our slice of pie.

Waffles Pancakes

The pies are to die for ❤️ Lovely staff! Delicious food!

Tareq Tayeh

Didn't really enjoy the cakes tbh, and I've tasted 4 different varieties. They were way too heavy for my liking, and felt like the contrast of flavors were off.

Alexander Yu

Well this place brings back memories. Probably got an additional star because of that. Lol but as for the taste well too much sugar for me and we ordered the Apple crumble. One slice can feed four people, but it was a decent tasting pie

Aria Pac

Blueberry cheesecake crumble was amazing, as are all the pies. The seating menu isn't wow and a bit overpriced for what you pay for but then again you're mainly there for the dessert anyway.

Hugo Lapointe Di Giacomo

Great service, polite. Good food! Excellent desert. To much wait...

Henry Cheang

I love pies and desserts, so it's no surprise that I would like this place! I absolutely adore their apple crumble pies (with ice cream!), and frankly, I often grab a whole pie to bring to parties when I'm out of ideas. It has a nice little terrace for summer months, and it's cozy on the inside during winter. Also a good place for more casual dates!

Michael Z

This is by far the worst pumpkin pie I’ve ever had! I don’t taste pumpkin at all. Lots of nutmeg to mask the pumpkin taste or is there any pumpkin in it?. The pie was brown not even pumpkin pie looking like that orangey look. Plus the filling tasted very starchy.

Nastacia Choulgova

Best spot for a date! Great food, a bit expensive but worth it! They have the BEST cheesecake ever!

Marlene Roseman

Tasty sandwiches, good soups, and salads. Very good pies. Prompt and friendly service.

Gianna Caucci

The food is always good (do yourself a favor and try something other than the pie! yummy, fresh menu), the only disappointment is sometimes they run out of their popular pies pretty early on in the day (like apple crumble!!)

mary deligeez

Great environment, chill place to hang out, very good food and of course excellent cakes/ pies .Had a great morning with my sis just relaxing ????

Knhur Carrasquel

As always kind service amd awesome pies

Salvia Divinorum

Very helpful staff. Huge choice of pies. Loves it.

Joseph Peris

Always a delight to drop by here, the ladies are lovely but I prefer to taste the pastry ????

Grace P.A. (Grace)

Cozy place for excellent pies and cakes

Randahl Kirkendall

Nice selection of pies. Little pricey for level of quality.

Dafydd R. Litwin

The pie is kinda expensive and just. So. Sweet.

Samer Al Zahab

Great place, great cakes and pies, sadly my only issue is that it is quite small for something like Rokaberry, thus it gets crowded a lot in the summer.

Jonathan Assouline

Great place for a dessert! We love their crumbles.

ilan rehan

Excellent onion soup

Ioana Eniu

Their pies are great, but this is a small place

Nore Viewz

Great cakes and pies. Salads and sandwiches/wraps also good.

Dj Vanilla

Pie is to die for!! Also, if you are looking to get a meal with your pie, definitely would recommend the Thailandese wrap with potato wedges

Gerardo Monasterios

The place is no so big, so I always buy and eat at home. Their speciality are the pies, absolutely worth to try, totally recommend. I tried one of nutella and another of pecan, delicious!.

Maxim Golubitsky

Very tasty cakes.

Tanya Lajoie

I know a few staff members who have worked at this Rockaberry, and have quit because of the manager. I personally have witnessed first hand how rude and disrespectful she is several times, and things need to change. Does anyone know who I can call to file a complaint, it would be greatly appreciated!

Doug M.

Pricy but delicious

Keerthana Harwalkar

This place has the most delicious pies!

Edgar

We've had Rockaberry's pies and cakes in several occasions and every time it's been simply delicious! Their pies are rich yet smooth and light on the palate; so, even though the portions are filling, you can easily eat the whole thing without feeling overwhelmed. They have a very good balance of ingredients combined with great flavors.

Gilbert Brault

Best pies in Montreal

Tugba Ozturk

Amazing cheesecakes, however horrible horrible service. Incredibly rude waitresses. So not really worth going there and making your night/day/date horrible. ????

Sylvain Licorne

Their pies are great, the place is nice and comfortable.

Marjorie P

Love the deserts, they seem to run out of deserts fast, so go get what you like in advance.

Edgar Trujillo

Great service, and desserts are the best!!!

KLUBB Chubbsy

Great cakes no doubt but recently (month of May 2019) I went in to pick up a piece of cake for take away and they wanted me to pay a tip. Their machine forced me to pay a min tip of 15% I had to tell the cashier twice I was not paying a tip and he just acted like he didn’t know how to fix the tip option. Not recommended to use credit card or debit card

Jonathan Berthold

Excellent service and delicious desserts. Additionally, the lunch menu is top-notch and features a solid selection of wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Best dessert here: the apple crumble cheesecake.

Vanessa Duarte

The salad very good, the cakes Hughes and they have a lot of variety. The service so, so...

Despina Xanthoudakis

Super friendly staff with great food!

Shauna Bonaduce

The pies are nice but what I really enjoyed was having that cozy place open late to chat with a long time no seen friend. Slices are humongous so go ahead and share.

Jean-Olivier “Mr. Shady Shades” Gagnon

Service is a little haphazard but they serve great pie and coffee. Good, just unremarkable.

Sky Tri

Very good cheesecake! Always have cheesecake when I'm in Montreal... My buddy found this spot and it didn't disappoint , friendly , cute waitress too !!

Derek A

So decadent. So good. Glad it don't live near one or I'd be huge.

Matt Bergbusch

Best strawberry/rhubarb pie in town. Friendly and efficient service.

Justine Soucy

I had never heard of Rockaberry before my book club squad introduced me to it! I'm still not sure, is it a pie? a cheescake? both fused together? Either way, they all look good and I really want to try more flavours. My friends and I got there around 2:40pm on a Sunday (St.Patrick's day) and it was full! The place is tiny and it doesn't help that this place is mainly takeout and not dine in. People were waiting a long time to get their orders so they stayed longer in the restaurant. Getting a table took about 30-40 minutes. We all wanted the table d'hôte pasta option but they only had one portion left. So I let my friend have it and I got the cranberry grilled cheese. The table d'hôte comes with the soup (the soup of the day was leek and potatoes) and drink (I got hot chocolate but usually it's tea or coffee). For dessert we got the rockabrownie to share. The slide is HUGE. At 3 we couldn't finish it. And it was like 75% chocolate creme and 25% brownie. Good but too much. The food was good, ordinary but good, it just took a long time to arrive. We were there in total 3 hours. I think when we come back we'll focus more on trying the different pie and cheesecake flavours instead of their lunch menu.

charif haidar

Fast service, tasty food, great dessert!

UA

A bit pricey but it was really good. The service was ????✨ ????

Niall Comerford

Great little spot for dessert and/or a bite to eat. Great quick service when you come in or call ahead, very friendly staff with some excellent cooks. Don't sleep on the food!

Ilie Neagu

If you like cheese cake...

Andrew Pinck

Great experience! This one employee, Livie I beleive her name was, absolutely deserves a raise! Any issue or question we had she answered politely and respecifully! Livie makes the Rockaberries experience, and she sure can cut a cake. I like the bananalicious :) YUM!

Cindy Katia Tremblay

The cheesecakes were amazing!!! Thats all we had and came for! Had an iced mocaccino with it and it was glorious!!! 7.75$ each piece is worth it for the oreo cheesecake and raspberry fudge cheesecake but not for the toblerone cheesecake, its very plain and theirs no cheese barely its mostly regular white cake with regular plain chocolat cake and a little cream on top not very good and i wouldnt pay 7$ for a piece of regular box cake. Of course the pieces are hugee and 1 is good for 2 people! But the oreo on the other hand was amazing!! It was fluffy and had a unique creamy cheesy oreo pieces everywhere. And the raspberry fudge is delicious if you love fudge at the bottom and raspberry swirl in the middle! ♡

Dov Vas

Unbeatable cheesecakes

Jessica Mambro

My favorite spot for pies. Apple crumble is the best with ice cream, a must try!

Lizzie Figs

Love this place, cozy and super enjoyable. They have so many desserts as well as a savoury menu. The pies are to die for!

Julia Shamshina

Delicious and friendly. Thanks for warming up fall day )

Alexandra Belloy-Poudrette

Pies are delicious, place is super cozy. If you've been to other Rockaberrys, beware : this one is significantly smaller and does not have a liquor licence. Service is a bit on the slow side most days, so don't go if you're in a hurry!

Chelsea Patterson

The pies and cakes are so over priced are are mostly just icing. They are not very flavorful. They need to learn sugar does not mean flavor. The Key Lime Pie is not at all key lime, the topping is gross, and the pie filling its too bland. The decor to sit down in the restaurant is nice, but still rather cafe style similar to Starbucks.

David Perl

Food is ok, they supposedly changed their chef, still tastes the same. But the deserts are still #1

samir ubeidy

Very nice place to eat pie and coffee

Sheena-Anne Bastien

Good place for a quick bite to eat and a coffee

Jacob Demeester

Nice clean shop, Their pies though... Their pies are AMAZING, If I wouldn't eat a whole one every time I went I'd definitely go by more often.

Rojin Mansouri

The best pies and cheesecakes in town...

Jonathan Legault

Never expect to visit here without getting some pie ...

Georges Giroux

They always have full pies available and they are so so yummy! Apple crumble and trufle

Lisa George

Nice quiet spot with yummy dessert. They don't rush you. Service is great.

kae thé

Best berry berry crumble EVER!

Eric ABBADIE

I love blueberry a la mode ...just make me ????

Daniel Goldwater

Pie chain and a bit of a Montreal institution. Mid-range goods but also hard to go wrong. This one is well kept with kind staff and a pleasant terrace.

Alifuzzaman A H M

The cheesecake is the best in this place. I only go there to buy the whole cake. It's too good. The place a nice as well to enjoy the coffee and desserts.

Martin Chartrand

Love the pies. They're all delish.

Sheila Ferrando

We shared great meals and desserts!

Olga Borozenko

Nice terrace, friendly staff, huge selection of desserts.

Jodana Surpris

Very good service, cakes and pies always fresh. Miss it already ????

Laura Lindborg

Such fluffy and decadent cheesecake! I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take a picture of it which is too bad because it was quite attractive and plump. A clean environment and friendly staff.

Jo Montreal

Not much choice but good for quick desert.

Leila Rafati

It is all about cakes! If you are fan of specificly cheese cake it is the best cafe! The only negative point is that the option of cake without cheese is really limited. Delicious chocolate cake

A M

Great service great cheesecake and pie

Lana Ernestine

THE CARAMEL FUDGE ONE IS ALL I THINK ABOUT NOW, PLEASE COME TO EDMONTON

Shimmy Roxx

Suchhhhh good cheesecake! So creamy! Really good savoury food too. The French onion soup and the nachos are the bomb. ????????????????

M Ayotte

The BEST desserts in Montreal for anyone who loves cake or pie. There is a great variety of their unique cakes and pies to choose from, and their entreés are pretty yummy too. Staff is always friendly and kind. They even deliver via Uber, which has been a blessing during the pandemic.

Aimane Ouriachi

Love their cheesecake ❤

Juan Pablo Mo

Nice selection of cake and the service staffs are very nice :D recommended place to have some usual cake, this street is getting good with all the options, bingsoo at cafe momo, chocolate stuff at Juliet and choCo. The dessert street :D

Jack Norlander

I only have positive thoughts about this place and I will share none of them.

Jason Poirier Lavoie

Very small space, and the staff are currently. Apart from that the food is wonderful.

Kevin Lalumiere

OMG ...the cakes are wicked good!

Alex Serfaty

Their pies are great. The portions are very generous. A single "slice" can easily be shared. A Montreal institution you have to try at least once.

Maury Herrera

Slow service but waitress really nice. Don't have alcoholic drinks

Ali Hassan

I tried their rockabrownie, it was good, i was expecting the base to be a bit more soft but it still worked out. The staff is friendly and tge ambience is good. It's a mandatory dessert place to visit.

Anna Li

Good experience but just a li'l bit overpriced for a slice of pie.

Sasha C. Caplin

Went in with my gf weds or thursday night and they were PACKED. But their cakes are so good (apple cheese ftw!) and my waitress was super sweet (a pretty cute mixed/tan girl) and helped us decide what to choose. Overall super happy and will be back!

Garvin Guerra

Good music, good looking servers, English and French are spoken there with out any issues. Good atmosphere and I love how they make the pies.

Charles Tatossian

Great pies, slow service.

Karen Rolling

Oreo cheesecake is to die for. Always have great and friendly service here. Parking is never an issue either.

Dominique Cantin

Fantastic pies but some of the staff members are not too friendly

Zarasor

Yummy yummy yummy!!! Everything here is delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Brian Traynor

Delicious desserts. Long wait

Marc-André Lefebvre

Always a solid a experience. Waitress was friendly and pleasant.

Vanessa Jean-poix

My only complaints is the lack of parking and the fact that its always crowded...the desserts are amazing....

Meghan Shaw

Always lovely, nice girls, good cakes.

Athen B

The staff is always nice, the service is fast and they always have the slices I want. What more could you ask for?

Charles Changizi

Love pie? Love a bunch of varieties of pie? This is your place! Affordable, great service and most importantly delicious food!

sarah-maude cousson-despots

Great pies and coffee! Quality of service varies a lot depending on the night, but in general pretty good:)

Mike L

The absolute best cheesecake! Regular menu is very good also for soupes and salades

Javier DL

Great location, desserts, coffees, and service. You can't go wrong!

Brian M Cox

Slightly too expensive. Great pies.

Smadar B

When you come here you know what you're gonna get... everything is pretty good if a bit too sweet!! Fair prices overall.

Staphik Spironciel

Tastey desserts & friendly staff...

Chad Swanson

Their pies.... Perfection. Rockaberry is a must visit in MTL

Naza Abdullayeva

Tried crumble apple cheesecake and fell in live with once and for all...

Melanie Fontaine

Great service, amazing food, nice atmosphere. Absolutely love it.

Matthew Challenger

Small location, but delicious desserts.

Angie P

I love rockaberry, but this particular location needs to focus more on customer service and less on standing around chatting

Justin Kocemba

Best cakes in the city. Cheesecakes are no-baked which makes them extra fluffy.

Darrell Holmes

Great selection amazing service

Victoria Villareal

Always amazing and great, friendly and kind employees!

Google Person

Nothing like the cheesecake factory. Disgusting pies heavy and filled with artificial ingredients. Yuk.

Stefanie

Everything I expected

Lavren (OmeletteDuFromage)

Great pies, my favorite cheesecake so far is the caramel and chocolate fudge. Must try!

Beatrice Sunderland

Extremely long wait. Barely any service when we were there. Multiple tables were finished eating but waiters did not pay attention to customers. Good desserts nevertheless, not worth the wait.

Pistachio Lover

Rockaberry never disappoints. I've had many of their pies including seasonal specials and it is always consistent. The prices however have increased.

Irene Marcoux

Great dessert selection and attentive service

Emy Leclerc

Great service but keep it to the tarts, coffees food is so so in my opinion

Sev S

Rockaberry is always a favorite when you crave something sweet! Their pies are great, but sometimes a bit too sugary. Try the Apple Crumble warmed up with Vanilla ice cream. Their coffee is not that great, so I would suggest getting a latte or cappuccino. Outdoor seating is nice on warm days. Service is great; staff is friendly.

Aditi Chandrasekhar

So good! We’ve tried three dessert pies so far — Boston crème, rainbow sprinkle and key lime pie — and they’ve all been delicious with the sort of moist cake you can eat just by itself. Their coffee gets a thumbs up as well — we roast and grind our daily coffee, so we can be particular. The double espresso and their latte would be a repeat order for us ???? Be warned that their slices are BIG.

Montreal Reviews

Gréât food, good ambiance.

dontaco86

Excellent cakes and great staff

Roni B

Small cozy place . Good Pie specialties .

S K

Always go there for take out... their selection is great, and the staff are always very helpful!!

Venuvine *

The only thing missing from their Amazing line up cakes is a key lime coconut cheesecake

Tin White

can you believe grown adults go to a pie restaurant? i can. good pie

billy bear

Best place for a dessertfor sure.

Melinda Atkinson

Great soups, sandwiches and pies to die for!

Elise R.

BEST CAKES! VERY DELICIOUS WITH BIG PORTIONS!

Ness Edery

I will never step foot back in there...my 8 month pregnant wife had a craving on Sunday afternoon for some dessert, after being seated for 15 min and having already ordered some geriatric/hippie who calls herself the "manager" comes out of the closet where they probably keep her...and tells us in the most rude attitude that they do not allow strollers and that we have to go!! Extremely poor customer service and the owners are clearly loosing a lot of business. " This so called Manager is bitter and definitely not the right fit to work with public" Thank you

MkEj Sgn

The pies are do addictive ????

sara ramadan

Loved their chocolate and vanilla pie cake

Vee Sieu

I love Rockaberry's pies. But the service there is not so good, and the portions seem to get smaller.

Joyce Sanchez

Fresh, delicious, and oh so sinful!

Eva Leos

As a diabetic vegan I can no longer eat 90% of their food lol However, this was always my go-to place when I just wanted to stuff my face. I still drop by for a quick tea and potatoes though ????

Hirokazu Suyama

Delicious sandwich, great soup and great pie!

THE MAC

This place is like crack! If you try it once , its over! The addiction is real people! Their pies are soooo DELISH!

Irentmy Games

Cakes are overpriced and not good enough. More than 7 dollars for a slice of carrot cake to go is just plain ridiculous. Staff is friendly but it does just justify selling tasteless and overpriced cake. Won't be back.

Bryan Burke

Our “crumble” was regular crumble mixed with raw pie dough… we also baked it an additional 20 minutes. Extremely disappointing

Warwick Walton

Great pie. Food menu can be a little hit and miss but there are some great dishes. Terrace is pretty nice too!

Tanya Babiuk-Henry

The pies are great and there is an option available for everyone, from fruit pies, to cheese cake to chocolate oreo pies. Additionally the food is amazing. Have the french dip steak sandwich I've had in a while.

J. Prec

Decadent desserts. They are a splurge (about $10 for a slice, take out) and they will add to your waistline, but the strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie are both very good. Silky and intensely sweet. It's probably a good thing they are expensive, otherwise I'd have a slice every night and weigh twice as much. The woman at the counter was super at describing the different pies.

François etc

The service is good, and so is the pie. This isn't a large location, but finding a spot never seems to be an issue.

Marlene Sobot

So good. Need one in Toronto

Pierre Miadlikowski

The cakes and pies are great!!!

Ui Heang Hur

Rockaberry can't be avoided on any kind of day. Mochamissu is by far one of the best dessert cakes in the city with its greatly balanced taste between coffee, bread and cheese. Never too thick for the size as you would probably never have a difficulty finishing the plate. Perfect after-meals.

B Tl

Not a fan of the layout as it is very small. If you are going to get cheesecake only, remember that there a TWO fridges with cheesecake.

Olivia G

Love to go eat there! The food is good! Especially their cakes!

Jamie Schoel

You simply can't beat the pies. Trust me, and now a nutella hazelnut chocolate lie. Ummm ya... that just happened. See you there

Valerie Rose

Sadly disappointed with apple crumble I purchased Dec 24. For that price I expected better . Seems it had abit of freezer burn! Oh We'll!!

Donald Tassie

Apple cheesecake from this location is daughter's favorite pie.

Sisi y

Waited 15 minutes for someone to come seat us since we can’t sit where we are and they completely ignored us so we ended up leaving to another place

Jill Carter

Great cake! Come here for my sweet tooth!

Howard W (HDog)

Small place with limited seating. Parking can be difficult. Fresh pies and friendly staff

Simone doubaissi

Pies are always fresh and really good.

Ryan Fyfe

CAKES OMG, and the service Alison you are amazing

Willowspritew W

Went with a friend for an even sweet. It was pretty busy. The menu had changed a bit, my friend had wanted their onion soup but it was no longer available, she also noticed the salad she liked was not there anymore. But the pies are amazing as always. I enjoyed a blueberry lemon shortcake while my friend had the brownie. My husband finished his key lime pie when I ordered one to go for him.

Archives

Friendly staff and best pie I ever had!

eleanor diones

I love the pies here.

Brian McMillan

Excellent!

Jean-Guy Rouleau

Good pie, albeit not worth the price (too expensive), absolutely terrible service. Went here this past Saturday night on the recommendation of a work colleague. I thought it might be nice after a home-cooked steak dinner. I was wrong. Walking in, there is a sign that says "please wait to be seated" (in French) right beside the cash register. There's a line, so I get in line and wait my turn. Once at the cash/sign, they ask what I want so I order the 3 slices and they start boxing them up right away. I mentioned that it was eat-in, not to-go and was rudely told "Well then you have to go sit down, it's table service". We sit down and figure we'll get the slices we just ordered, except it takes about 10 minutes for a server to come to the table with menus and we had to order again. We had the keylime, strawberry rhubarb crumble and apple crumble. All of the pies were ok (not worth the price, though) except for the apple crumble which was undercooked - it was not crumbly, it was doughy, and the apples were still crunchy instead of soft. The waitress never once came by to ask if everything was okay, either. When we were done and she had collected all of the dishes, we waited another 10-15 minutes for her to come by and ask about the bill, which she should have done when taking away the last plate. But the kicker: I had to stand in line again at the end to pay...it's table service; they should have a machine to bring to the tables for you to pay. I don't think I am exaggerating if I say that this is probably the worst service I have had in any restaurant; not only did I not leave a tip (which is super rare, because even with bad service I still tend to leave a 5-10% tip) I actually wished that I could reduce the amount of the bill to compensate for having to put up with them. Just the fact that the service was bad enough to incite me to write a review (I rarely do) I think is pretty telling. On the way out, a group of 4 asked us how it was and we told them the pie is good, but don't get the apple crumble and don't hold your breath for service, so they left. I hope the other locations don't operate like the one on Monkland because if they do, it surprises me that this place hasn't gone out of business.

L Fong

Good place for Cheese cake, also has a small but good dinner menu ????

Emily Caputo

Great service with great food and cakes!

TJI

Nice staff. The desserts are well presented and very large portions so good to share. Extremely sweet even for dessert, almost painfully sweet. I’m not sure I would buy again for that reason. Might be your thing though!

michael auerbach

On Sunday night, it was raining, I had to work the next day, I decided to meet my friend at Rockberry. Besides the amazing apple pie and service and atmosphere, I spent 3 1/2 hours here and at the end, the best dessert was talking to the staff, and seeing how down to earth, hard working, smart and so accomadating they were. It was a Sex in the City episode. It was a blast! I'm coming back here every night so I can get uplifted again by my girls at Rockberry.

Martin Juneau

Quick easy purchase, Covid protocols ????, and the pie looks delicious!!! 28/02/2021 The pie was awesome!!! Will definitely be ordering it again!!!

Nochu J

Pies are 10/10 but the meals are average

John Reinhardt

A must stop every time I'm in Montreal.

Stefania M

The pie there is always delicious. Great service. Sad they got rid of the 'soup-salad-pie-coffee/tea' combo though. As for food, a little pricey. ...

Claudette Aloysius

For the first time ever, the awful customer service actually made me not want any Rockaberry pie, which I didn't think was possible, because I love their pies. Unfortunately, the two women who were working on the night of Sat. Nov 18th 2017 (around 10pm) were quite nasty and unpleasant to our large group. We waited patiently for a few tables to clear up to fit our group and when we went to the empty corner to sit down together, they said we couldn't fit because it was a fire hazard, which is understandable. What was not justified was when she told us that we were making other customers nearby very uncomfortable because we were taking up too much of their space. However, basic common sense would've easily remedied the situation since the tables nearby could've easily been rearranged to accommodate our large group, but the servers did not care and it was very clear they did not want us there: the brown-haired girl with a tiny stature was constantly eye-rolling her eyes at us, and she smiled when she told us that we couldn't sit together. It is very likely she purposely treated our large group terribly so that she wouldn't have had to work as much that night. After this cold and unwelcoming service received by these two women, we left and took our business elsewhere (to the Second Cup across the street: the women working there were very welcoming and kind! Their desserts are also very good, particularly their brownies and nanaimo bars). To summarize, Rockaberry Monkland lost a lot business not only that night, but every other night and day after that. Go to the Rockaberry's in DDO (on Sources blvd) or Kirkland (on St. Charles) instead.

Great dessert and great service

Honesty tonight was my limit with this rockaberry. I usually go in St Léonard and never had a problem or a complaint. BUT monkland oh boy. A while ago I bought a slice of cheesecake which the girl told me was fresh only to discover home it's beyond dry.. wonder when it was made. Tonight I ordered a wrap with potatoes wedges to go. my salad and chicken was non existant. So I'm eating an empty wrap. The potatoes wedges are RAW and soggy. I go there for your potatoes and tonight its just a disappointment. They are completely raw and one is burnt go figure... while I was waiting this girl was filing up her counter with cakes only to see her cough on one without covering her mouth. She was legit 1 inch away from it. That should have made me run away but I wanted those yummy fries which is now just good for the garbage. Thanks guys for making me waste my money. And oh yeah if I ever want to catch a cold I now know where to come. Cakes full of germs how yummy yayy. I tried calling the manager but she is only in in a few days which makes me ask myself a lot of questions. Never again. Grossed me out. Empty wrap. I got cheese and sauce in it ..... raw potatoes....

Excellent dinner specials...great veg stir fry with chicken & peanut or teriyaki sauce...and of course the pies! - we ordered the mille feuille pie - scrumptious/delicious as usual - server was top notch - just a little cool sometimes with door opening - but generally comfortable - overall - a nice casual place with good variety of sandwich, salad & other specials - and, again, the pies r the best in town - including great lattés & cappuccinos????????????❗

Very good quality pies

This has become our favourite lunch spot! The sandwiches (maple wrap mmm) and salads are delicious (not to mention the homemade soup of the day- chicken and rice is my favourite while my husband loves the onion soup) and nothing beats the key lime pie!!!! The service is always attentive and it's so nice to go somewhere where all the staff are smiling and joking, really makes you feel comfortable. Thanks girls (and boys!) see you next week!

Pies are amazing! Staff is friendly! Foods on menu are exceptional. Great place for first date! However, there's no kids menu or high chairs for family outings. Pies do not change in regards to season changes like some other places that have for example a pumpkin spice flavour or peppermint flavour, same with coffee.

A damn fine piece of pie! - Agent Dale Cooper, FBI

Small, comfy restaurant with a nice menu and great pies. The service is excellent and conscientious. Two of my favorite pie choices are the apple crumble and the strawberry shortcake! Their's a nice little outdoor terrace that opens once the weather is warm enough.

Best apple crumb pie!.

Dan GoldenEgg

Apple crumble cheezcake is a real delight and the service in is always A1!

We came and sat down. The staff came to take our order; we ordered two cafes and a slice of pie and we started studying. Then a family of four sat next to us and had already gotten their slices of pie. Thirty minutes later, the staff just straight up forgot about us and our order. It wasn’t even busy, we saw them chatting among themselves. We ended up leaving. Terrible service.

I love the pies here. Really the best.

Let me start by telling you that this 1-star rating I am giving you IS NOT because of your specialty pies, which are incredibly delicious. What triggered me do to this is your awful staff we had to deal with last night. To put things into context, we came in about 10:45 PM, which, according to the person I had spoken to a few days back, is supposed to be a perfect time to accommodate a large group like the one we were last night. However, when we came in, the place was packed like Décarie highway is during rush hour, and we just stood there and waited to be seated, as classy, patient customers would normally do. Once we got seated, we picked the table at the very end of the restaurant and 7 of us sat (we were 10), and the other 3 people could not be seated since the waitress decided to bring up a "fire hazard" clause, something she obviously didn't tell us while we were waiting, instead of just politely asking people to move just a bit so we could fit in another table. Appalled at the whole situation, we ended up taking our business across the street to their competitors, Second Cup, which I am very proud to mention. So this goes to the management team: instead of telling your staff about "fire hazard", which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, especially since this is not a goddamn skyscraper, you should tell them about the "massive customer loss hazard", which unfortunately you were unable to avoid last night. Sleep through that.

Friendly staffs and good cakes and pie...

Always amazing cakes and quick service. Only issue is that it's so good, sometimes some cakes are sold out. :P

Camille Laffont

Best cheescake ever in town and the waitress is amazingly nice!

Their food is delicious! Their deserts are even better, especially the strawberry shortcake.

I was so scared to order from rockaberry for this year father's day because three years ago we ordered and our pie (original cheesecake) dad's favorite, didn't have any sugar in it and everyone we served it to was like is this a prank so we just never went back...but this year I said it's always been my dad's favorite let's just give it a go again and so glad I did because seeing the smile and excitement on my dad's face made everything more special and no shortage of sugar this time ;). Thank you rockaberry and definitely coming back soon!

I have emailed the Rockaberry location at 5557 Monkland Ave to give them a chance to reply to me privately but I never got a reply. I am writing because I think it is important to share when service can be improved. I called this location 4 times on Saturday April 30th, but was not able to get through via the phone as it went straight to voicemail. On Sunday, I really needed to order a cake for my colleague, as the rest of my work colleagues were counting on me to bring an Apple Crumb Cheesecake cake for Monday April 1. When I called on Sunday April 31, I was also unable to get through in the early afternoon, with the phone going straight to voicemail. At around 2:50/3pm, I was finally able to get the phone to ring and someone picked up. I told the employee who answered that I wanted to order a cake and she told me that it was no problem but I had to wait, and she put me on hold. I waited for 12 minutes on hold, and I could hear that the phone was on a counter and I believed that the employee had forgotten my call. I hung up and tried to call again, but was sent straight to voicemail again. I left a voicemail, but once again was not called back. At this point it was almost 5pm and I had been calling all day, so I visited the location. When I went into the restaurant, I explained that I had called earlier and the employee recognized me. I told her that I had been trying to call all weekend and asked if they knew that their phone was going straight to voicemail. The employee went to the back room and came back laughing stating that the phone had been off the hook for 2 hours. I explained that I had been calling continuously through the weekend and the employee replied “yeah the phone was off the hook” and laughed again. I explained that I needed the Apple Cheese Crumb Cake and the employee told me that she didn’t have the full cake anymore. On top of that, I wouldn’t be able to get any writing on the cake. At this point I was very frustrated and just chose a strawberry shortcake, paid the full price and left. This being my first experience at the Monkland Rockaberry, I can only say it was very disappointing and difficult. Besides the fact that the phone was off the hook, the staff did not take the time to apologize or offer me anything for the inconvenience. The fact that I was buying a whole cake and therefore bringing it to a lot of people should have clued in the employee that I would be sharing my poor experience with my colleagues. I had hoped to get a reply before complaining about my experience on social media. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!

tanya kusie

Cafe latte was horrible....tasted like warm milk, even sent it back and second time around was the same. Key lime had no delicious crumb crust and was not cold enough. Very disappointed with this Rockaberry ????

Soufiène Kabache

Good spot for a quick bite, their pies are really nice but you'll need to try them out a bit to find the one that'll make you come back every time. The staff is super nice. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could, the only problem is that a lot of menu items are a bit overpriced, but nothing too serious.

Michael Grades

Great cheesecakes and milkshakes. Haven't had a better cheesecake anywhere else.

Stephen Lemish

A really nice experience. Had diner and some pie. Was NOT disappointed

Great dessert and coffee. They have soups and other food too. This location on Monkland isn't their best one as it has limited indoor seating.

Pies are awful. Never understood how this place gets good reviews with terrible quality products. They try to cover it up with sugar but just ends up being overly sweet with poor quality.

Great place for a small hangout with friends.

Was not very satisfied with the experience. The manager that day was not that friendly, I bought a whole pie and asked to cut a slice and she got an attitude for no reason.

Perrine Achhab

This is one of my favorite places to eat at. Delicious cakes and food. Very nice staff. Would highly recommend.

Kiviuq

First the good - really nice server. Now the not so good - we should have been told that there was were no more noodles PRIOR to being served the Oriental salad. Both our salads had old brownish lettuce. The salted caramel latte was neither salted nor had caramel. Completely turned us off from ordering any dessert ????

Nadia Rotondo

Delicious and fresh Friendly staff

Amyn Merchant

Hard to find better cheesecake.

Joey Sorgiovanni

Best pie/cake that I ever had. Been going to rockaberry for years now and haven’t found a better place for dessert and great food as well!! Staff are friendly and a pleasure to be around!

Delicious desserts. Would go back.
