Local bakery/pastry shop that has been serving NDG for many years (since I can remember, and I'm 30 years old). Excellent cakes/pies/sweets of all kinds and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable too! A perfect place to get a special dessert for the right occasion.

This place looks very nice outside but inside you feel that is very dirty and I saw by myself cockroach beside the kitchen. Also, while discussion about macaroons, the woman (probably the owner) was not polite and disrespectful to me, just because I ask her question about macaroons. Her answer was "don't ask just buy!". I went out on my way to Premiere Moisson across the street. First of all, I will call to inspection to check this place because people not allow to eat at this creepy place! Second, the owner has to take couple of courses about customer service otherwise this business won't survive. My conclusion is simple, please don't waste your time at this place, better to choose another bakery on monkland street that probably will be cheaper than this pigsty. Thanks to all my viewers!

Small quaint little bakery. Bread is good but the pastries are what really stand out in my opinion. Very affordable compared to other bakeries. It's not by any means the best I've had, but given the price point, the value is incredible. Definitely will be returning.

Nancy's has some really nice home style cakes. The gluten free chocolate cake is surprisingly perfect. They also make a very yummy tomato, goat cheese, pesto sandwich. But it takes for ever for someone to service you even when they are not busy, then it takes a while for it to be wrapped up and paid for. They also only take debit or cash, which at times can be annoying. But if you are not in a rush, and want to enjoy some truly great traditional french Patisserie style food Nancy's is the best!

Nice little bakery, the chocolates and pastries are really good! But I would recommend skipping the macarons, not sure if they are made using a different recipe but they are cracked and have no feet. The texture is bit mushy/soft.

I got a quiche and a dozon crossiants to bring to mothers day brunch. Both were very good, and the quiche was a huge hit! (Spinach) The eggs were very light and fluffy. They also had the crossiants in wholr grain, I got those and they tasted great.

An awesome place to go get Authentic French desserts! The bags of assorted meringues with all different flavors, are amazing! The service is always great, and there are different servers at all different sections of the store that are very knowledgeable of the products they sell! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Dirty place, pastries not very fresh and too much sugar, zero service, cold and unfriendly lazy staff, takes very long to serve you, rolling their eyes when you're asking questions, not a kid-friendly place. Need I say more? Spare yourself the torture and go to the other bakeries nearby.

Disappointed too many times by this place. Today - WORST cannoli I have ever tried. Soggy pastry and dry pasty filling. I took a bite and literally spit it ,out. The cannoli looked good but it had to be at least a few days old, even though there was a full row of them. On another visit tried the macarons - they are my son's fave and I've tried them from many places. Here they sell by weight, and all of the flavours we tried were dry and oily (yes apparently something can be both). Ugh. The mille feuille is usually ok, but today the layers were burnt to a dark brown. In general the things here look better than they taste. Also the woman who served me (I think she may be the owner) was unkind and unfriendly. I like to support smaller businesses, but for Monkland baked goods and treats, will stick to the Prem Moisson a few blocks east, or go to Meunerie Urbaine a few blocks west.

Worst customer service ever experienced! I went in just to get a cinnamon roll and when I entered the shop, it was empty with 2 employees in the back. I made eye contact with one employee but she didn't acknowledge me and i waited a good couple of minutes before being served. I said "bonjour" to her and didn't even get a hello back, just a "yes"? At the cash, the pastry was over $4 for what seems to me as a tiny pastry. I commented that it was quite expensive compared to other places to which i got a reply from the owner: "If you can't afford, go elsewhere!", and proceeded to take away the bag. I don't support places that have terrible customer service! And maybe if they would post the prices, then people at least can be aware beforehand. Go to "La Meunerie Urbaine", they have better customer service and better products at a lesser price.

When asked if they had white macarons- they said tes! They had vanilla. What I got were shrivelled chewy very small greasy sandwich cookies- and were no where near white- nor macarons!!!
