My first time at MTL Bagel, honestly it was so good. This place is inside the top 10 restaurant in Montreal but I didn’t know it was that good. The staff are super friendly. Bagels are fresh made and super tasty. You will have so much choice. I really love this store.

Go here almost every other weekend for bagels, always leave with a dozen and one to eat. Friendly staff and quick service, it's a little tricky for parking later in the day so recommend going earlier. The onion and garlic is my favourite so far it's fantastic toasted with cream cheese would 100% recommend going.

It was an interesting experience to see how the employee was getting the fresh dough dipped into sesame seeds and line them up in the wood firing oven. Pretty impressive! I can confirm that these bagels have this unique taste and texture that you do not normally come across. They have such a variety: blueberry, cinnamon, onion, garlic, sesame, cranberry coconut, just to name a few. I also picked up a smoked salmon and a smoked meat bagel sandwich. The generous portion of cream cheese makes these sandwiches such a delight and made our Sunday lunch extra special.

This place just keeps getting better and better! Their staples, the bagels, are always fresh, delicious and offered in so many different varieties. If you like all-dressed bagels, the ones they sell will blow you away! In addition to their great sandwiches and pastries, they also have great cream cheese mixtures, like with smoked salmon or chives, that are a must when you’re picking up a dozen, or three. Today, I discovered they’re now also offering chicken rotis, which I had to try - so so good and totally worth the detour! Owner reached out to me in an attempt to resolve said previous situation. They are doing all they can to remediate the situation and I highly respect how accountable this company is. Previous: 10/30/21 Approximately 11am-12pm (Updated with a bit more detail) I've come here for the passed 2 weeks for bagels and the bagels here are fantastic. Customer service was also very good. I believe that majority of the employees here are great to begin with. However, it has come to my attention today that one of your staff appeared to have disrespected a family member. She appeared to be lacking in her customer service skills. In fact, she even raised her voice at my family member to the point that even the other employees looked at her. Honestly, she appeared rude. When I told her my family is here from Vancouver and loves mtl bagels, she did not even react, as if she pretended to not hear me. Then later when my cousin told her they're gonna bring all the bagels back to Vancouver she responded with "ya. ya. I heard." My cousin said she really sounded like she doesn't care. Customer service would entail to at least pretend and act like you do care. I understand my uncles did not have the best spoken English skills, let alone communication skills to begin with as they can be very hard to understand. I know he isn't the easiest customer to deal with because he seemed indecisive with his choices too. I can understand how overwhelming it is to encounter an abrupt big order. But customer service entails to still be patient with the clients to the best of your abilities. It was unwarranted by your staff member to yell at a a customer in this situation. She yelled something a long the lines of "DONT RUSH ME" but honestly it didn't seem like anyone was trying to rush her. My uncle was asking for a box for the bagels and he said it more than once, to ensure that said staff heard him. One of my uncles inspite of thinking that your staff was being rude to his brother, he still bought 5 dozen bagels. He said it would be the last time though. He also did not like the fact that he had to ask for bagel bags and twist ties otherwise said staff was about to not give them to us, maybe she forgot I don't know. Maybe said staff was having a bad day, I don't know. But my family members said they refuse to come back to mtl bagels as a result. I really grew to love this place instantly but today's events resulted in a rather negative experience. Willing to change my review until this situation appears to be rectified. It is a shame because the rest of the staff seem great. And the bagels are top notch here.

We decided to have a nice motorcycle ride the day before yesterday afternoon on November 5, 2020 for our second Yelp Elite Perk at the MTL Bagel. We appreciate these invitations and thank the businesses that make them for Elite Yelp members. The temperature was fabulous which of course made our visit more enjoyable. This business is located in a popular area that we loved. We often frequented this part of Montreal when we were younger and it made us happy to go back. No parking problem here which is a PLUS compared to the city center where finding a place to park is very difficult in addition to having to pay. I must tell you that it is always a shock for me to see unilingual English signage in a business and that French is relegated to the background. We are in Quebec and for me it is unacceptable to prioritize English. The MTL Bagel is no exception. An effort in this direction would be highly desirable for me. We were treated to a very friendly and commendable welcome and in excellent French from the friendly young man. The very varied range of products offered is very well presented and enticing. We appreciated what was offered to us free of charge by the store: two bagels for lunch and 6 more bagels without forgetting a bag to put everything. A free bagel is offered to customers who bring back this bag to return their order. This beautiful bag costs $ 1.00. We opted for a smoked salmon bagel and a smoked meat bagel at $ 8.99 each. We chose 6 bagels of different flavors which normally cost $ 6.50 for a ½ dozen and $ 10.50 if you take a dozen. We bought cream cheese for $ 3.99. We brought it all home and it was our supper. Everything was excellent but we are not bagel fans as such in our gastronomic preferences. The smoked meat and salmon were tasty and the quantities were generous. The freshness was also there. We do not know the prices of bagels of this style in other stores of this kind, but we believe it is probably average. Everything has become expensive everywhere in restaurants and we have to get used to it. We have 14 photos for you. You can see the ones where English unilingualism tickled us. We recommend this business if you are Bagelian followers. This is the place to go to treat yourself. You will be received with courtesy and a smile that is slightly masked by the times that run ... Aucun problème de stationnement ici ce qui est un PLUS à comparer du centre-ville où trouver une place pour se stationner est très difficile en plus de devoir payer. Je dois vous dire que c’est toujours un choc pour moi de voir de l’affichage unilingue anglais dans un commerce et que le français y soit relégué au second plan. Nous sommes au Québec et pour moi, c’est inadmissible de prioriser l’anglais. Le MTL Bagel ne fait pas exception à la règle. Un effort dans ce sens serait très souhaitable en ce qui me concerne. Nous avons eu droit à un accueil très amical et digne de mention et dans un excellent français de la part du jeune homme sympathique. La gamme très variée des produits offerts est très bien présentée et alléchante. Nous avons apprécié ce qui nous était offert gratuitement par le commerce soit deux bagels en lunch et 6 bagels en plus sans oublier un sac pour mettre le tout. Un bagel gratuit est offert à la clientèle qui ramène ce sac pour rapporter leur commande. Ce magnifique sac coûte $1.00. Nous avons opté pour un bagel au saumon fumé et un à la viande fumée à $8.99 chacun. Nous avons choisi 6 bagels de saveur différente qui coûtent normalement $6.50 la ½ douzaine et $10.50 si vous prenez une douzaine. Nous avons acheté du fromage à la crème à $3,99. Nous avons rapporté le tout à la maison et ce fut notre souper. Tout était excellent mais nous ne sommes pas comme tel des fans de bagels dans nos préférences gastronomiques. La viande fumée et le saumon étaient savoureux et les quantités étaient généreuses. La fraîcheur était aussi au rendez-vous. Nous ne connaissons pas les prix des bagels de ce style dans les autres commerces de ce genre mais nous croyons que c’est sûrement dans la moyenne. Tout est devenu cher partout dans les restaurants et nous devons nous y habituer. Nous avons 14 photos à vous proposer. Vous pouvez y voir celles où l’unilinguisme anglais nous a chatouillés. The bagels are super fresh, the selection is amazing and there's a nice selection of sandwiches and side dishes for extremely reasonable prices for the fantastic quality. Would highly recommend. Whenever we come to Montreal from New York my wife and I always buy Montreal bagels because they’re awesome! This place happens to be fantastic! Onion, Poppy, sesame, and cinnamon are our favorites. A hidden gem! Definitely beats the common ‘big names’ for bagels in Montreal. So many flavours to choose from with unique combinations such as banana and chocolate. My favourite definitely has to be the spicy all-dressed, just wow!!! Highly recommend their bagel sandwiches! They really don’t hold back on the cheese, just delicious! Great Covid measures in place and they even are on UberEats!

What I especially like about this place is the variety of flavors they have. My favorites: "Spicy" and "All-dressed". My kids: "Blueberry". It took me a looong time to try anything other than the traditional "white seed" or "black seed" (which are delicious). I considered it blasphemy!...Until I tried them. Recommend this place!
