My first time here. Not at all what I was expecting. In all fairness, since we are still in health security measure mode, I'll reserve my full judgement and not make too much fuss on how unwelcoming the interior felt. Having come with intentions to buy several products, I just got a few quarter sliced breads and left. I really did not get that feeling of stick around and browse through the possibilities. On a more positive note, I will say that the quality of the bread was spot on. All said and done, I will re-try this place at a much later date and hopefully be more generous with my rating.

Although they have won international awards for their baguettes, we love all of their artisanal breads even more. They are baked to perfection: crusty, soft, a little moist, fresh and flavorful. Delightful local bakery in Monkland Village in Montreal. Judging by the constant flow of people walking in , the baked goods are clear success with the locals. I had a crisp almond croissant which had a wonderful , buttery and nutty taste . Coffee is also very tasty and well balanced . I will make special trips to this neighborhood just to come and try their other baked goods. Friendly service with a real neighborhood feeling.

I absolutely love this bakery/patisserie. The breads are delightful, the croissants authentic, the gauffres to die for. I only wish they would sell their cakes and pastries outside of Friday - Sunday, and wished they never closed. The staff have always been delightful and friendly. Pre-pandemic, they used to flirt and give a little baked good to my toddler. During the pandemic they were friendly and chatty, despite everyone being stressed. I do wish the owner would provide their worker with gloves. On Christmas Eve, there was a massive line for pick-ups, and the workers outside looked like they were hurting from the cold and needed gloves. To their credit, they were kind and happy, much more than I would have been in their shoes! In sum, this place is an institution. Thanks for all the delicious eats, I always look forward to your next creations!

Very good levain bread. Tried the baguette and oat porridge. Excellent mild levain flavour, good dark crust and moist crumb. Croissant and brioche were good, though a bit dry (this was mid day, and pastries were probably a few hours old). Love the giant miches that you can buy whole, 1/2, 1/4. Great addition to the area west of the mountain which lacks good artisan bakeries.

It’s a clean and modern bakery in the monkland area. I arrived in a Wednesday afternoon at 2:30pm, and lots breads were already sold out (no more cheese bread). Just read the reviews here, and realized that I should have got their breads instead of croissants and cookies. Anyways, I sampled all of their croissants and cookies, and they were nothing spectacular. The maple croissants were crafted so cute, but had no maple nor croissant butter flavour, they tasted like expensive little bread, don’t buy it. The Nutella croissants looked so refined and cute also, but the chocolate fillings were at its minimum; the butter flavour was stronger. The double chocolate cookie with sea salt was way too salty. The only thing I enjoyed the most from all I bought this time was the cranberry chocolate cookies, but I can also live without it. Over all flavourwise very disappointing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance and kitchen/serving area’s opening concept is interesting. We will try their bread next time and hopefully it will change our impression towards this boulangerie.

Absolutely fantastic bread, slightly better than my other favourite spot, Pain Dans les Voiles which owner has a connection with. Great baguette, an even better Kamut loaf, croissants are very good too but not tops. I can't wait to try their other loaves, everything looked great. I tried a few patries too, chocolate eclairs tasted ok but the shell was way too soft, had it lost texture sitting there? Praliné Milles Feuille was much better. Great addition for NDG. They need to have a better line system, either numbers or a force a line.

My family normally goes to this very nearly every single Saturday because of the wonderful Kamut and spelt bread. However last week we came in and order my soon to be five year Olds birthday cake and we decided on the lemon pie wit fruit on top. Long story short something went wrong with the order they forgot to write down the type of lemon pie we wanted and they put the wrong date on it. They tried to reach me by phone to correct the order but I was unable to get a hold of. When I came in with three of my children and my husband I learned they did not have NY order and dd not have any lemon pies I could order from the shelf. The gentleman trying to assist me was polite but I wanted to speak wit who I thought was either the Manger or the owner to see if anything she could do to help. The owner or Manger immediately started defending her self instead of listening she raised her voice in a loud argumentative tone in front of all the guest inside the shop which there were no less than 15. I ased her why she was taking at me in front of my kids including my birthday girl she didn't care and proceeded to yell at me. Saying I never answered the phone when they tried to call me. She offered no solutions except for me to ge out of her store because she don't have time to speak with me. She said she took this tone because of my abusive way I treated her employee.) I advised her I was never once abusive and asked the employee in question did he feel. I was abusive which he never answered. All of this happened. Infron of my husband and my three small children. Normally this store would get five stars because of tw quality of the products and the employees are usually very polite however for a owner/manager to berate a customer and raise his or her voice so loud that everyone is watching is not only unprofessional but doing it in front of the customers small children is blatant abuse and moral wrong. My kids were sated and sad after seeing the way she treated me. I will never be going back there again and do no recommendable of color, any parents with small children to go there or any one who values True customer service where sore owners take real ownership of their mistakes and do not pass blame onto their customers and make a horrible scene in front of others. I felt abused in front of my children, I felt being the only black woman in the place she singled me out ad treated me different Tha she would. Normally treat a client.

Beautiful store. The staff are very friendly and my friend worked there and confirmed that the owners treat their staff like family and that most people are so happy. It is confirmed in their food! Really very tasty.

As a small sweet snack, the red velvet looked elegant topped off with cream cheese frosting. As for the selection of cookies, the Old fashioned and Ginger cookies were massive and tasted home baked.

The first time I went, there wasn't much offering. I chose a large cookie and it was okay. I was not going to go back. But i thought I'd give it another chance so it went back again today. I was standing in line and the server skipped me over twice. So now I know I won't ever being going back. I guess if I was francophone, there wouldn't be a problem.
