This Bakery is included in the category of Grocery store.
Staff is very mean and not polite. Zero respect for customers. They made me put recicle items in the garbage ????️.
Decent food with good services !
I would like this place to be a clothing optional supermarket, but apparently the management team finds that to be an odd suggestion. Well, I won't be back until the clothes can come off.
Great team! I loved my coworkers at IGA.
Good price
The black guy at the seafood stand all the way to the back will help you with anything seafood. He can teach you how to differentiate a female lobster ???? to a male lobster ????
Way too many people holding up the cashier's long line's..
the staff are super friendly. food well stocked. the store is clean and items are easy to find. butcher counter people are great too.
fruits and veg are fresh and lot of kosher products available as well.. a large IGA comparatively
you're better off if you go to Cavendish Mall IGA .. no variety of products .
Good kosher selection.,
I think its a great supermarket! The food is good and it has like... Everything! Drinks, vegetables & fruits, bread, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, donuts, popcorn, beer, meat, fish and more! And its not expired and it tastes good!
Expansive
A hughe grocery store with a fresh fish station, a butchery and lots more. Has kosher products.
It is in my opinion, one of the best IGAs in the city. It has a lot of choices, especially kosher food. They have a large variety of bread, freshly-made challah bread and others. The variety of products there is very very good. There is a huge gluten free section as well as peanut free. They have products that you just don't find another stores.
Well, this IGA is lacking many of the staff. So usually we are going to the one in Cavendish mall.
Big improvement since the renovations 2 years ago
Quality stuff..always fresh and meet to the expectation. Good behaved and professional staff.
Worst service I've seen at an IGA. I've been shopping there for years and I can tell you that the last 2-3 months have been horrible. From rude cashiers to no semblance of order on how to line up at the cashes.
Fantastic employees. They make IGA what it is.
Frendly service and unbeatable prices
Always nice to go
Always great service. The manager Peter has always gone out of his way to get things I wanted that weren't stocked in the store originally.
Have much of what you will need plus they have added interesting fresh baked breads
Second day trying to find raw lobsters. Nothing in stock.
Blonde lady manager is very rude and always tries to show that she has some power in the store, just don't break your head and go to see the actual store manager
Everyone is always angry or ignoring you. Yes, I'm talking about the staff.
Good customer service . Always fresh
Best Place in CSL where you can find all type of food and and much more. Excellent staff with extensive customer experience????????????????????
It was under construction
Amazing, never had a grocery store so polite
That store is way expensive
The workers at the CSL mall IGA need thick skin to deal with the self-important and entitled clientele, who are pushy and rude, one being more important than the next. It can be a trying experience for outsiders, believe me. As for the food, it is generally pretty good. The vegetables are usually fresh, as is the meats. However, I have noticed that chicken breasts have become lower quality, and I am 100% certain that they are practicing water injection, as the chicken has been very plump and watery, and will it brown easily due to the high water concentration. When cooked, the chicken loses almost half its weight, that is a sure sign of cheating. I have also noticed that filets are glued together using whatever industry cheats used in that process, which allows scrap meats to be literally hours together to simulate a larger cut of meat.
I like shopping at IGA They have good quality goods
moldy food found in this IGA. Rotten avocado. Bad smelling meat. Here is what I bought today. Panettone cake, moldy all over. Avoid this store!
This IGA is honestly one of the best. I have had nothing but good experiences here and have found that the management truly cares about their clients. The staff are friendly and helpful and during this time (CoVid-19) they have handled it very professionally but not in a way that makes things feel like a dystopian movie. Good place. Good people.
Very nice store. Good service.
I found the gluten free pizzas
Very good grocery store. Lots of different products you can't find elsewhere. Super deli counter with very nice and efficient staff. Great produce selection. Wish they would have Cara Cara oranges!. The aisles are full of stuff. They also have a Kosher section. You usually dont have to wait to long at the check out. Best thing is the car pick up. It's so convenient. This IGA is in a mall. So you can do other shopping and then pick up your order.
A nice place for family grocery
Great supermarket
The best shop
They have decent produce and meat. Not the cleanest though
I never seem to find what I'm looking for here. Obviously a supermarket can only hold so many items but I think this one could use a little more diversity.
This IGA has the option of taking the groceries and putting them in the car. Very helpful
I love that I can find gluten free, lactose free products, but if it wasn't the closest grocery store next to me, I'd have a hard time going there. The registers: always busy, no matter when I go ... though God forbid you go in the weekend or evenings; first "fast lane" is often not even open for some reason; lastly (and this has been improved recently though) sometimes the younger cashiers keep busy talking to each other instead of talking to the customer. Finally, 3 separate times I bought fruit which was past due.
Pretty huge iga. Good selection of things. Clean. Service is ok.
Cool
This IGA needs some serious renovation.. it's old and it smells of mold all over
Well lit and good selection of produce.
Not many options nearby and expensive
Good fresh salmon deals every month. Just get to know your butcher
Its a grocery store what else can i say? But the tall guy at the seafood counter is fun to talk to
I don't understand why this store has these huge play carts for the children that can't fit at the cash register
Renovations look amazing! Wonderful selection of products
Entered the IGA to pay for and pick up my groceries at the scheduled time today. Check out cashier discovered my $50 order had been deleted earlier in the day after bringing over the manager in charge. Eventually, her superior instructed the cashier to re-enter all my items so I could pay for them. I was left standing with no answers despite asking the cashier if I could wait outside until she completed the entries. Finally, I could pay the bill. Now the cashier called over another employee, who started walking towards the other side of the front of the store. This employee also remained silent when I asked a question about where I could pick up my groceries. Never looking at me or speaking to me, he gathered some bags of groceries and put them in a large plastic car order box. He then tossed the box onto the rollers and pushed it. I asked him if I should bring my car to the front of the store. No answer. He walked away. I went outside to look for my groceries. The box was sitting out of reach at the conveyor opening. No employee was around to retrieve it. At last, seeing me gesticulating towards the employees inside the store, a considerate employee walked over to me, retrieved the box, and put the groceries into my car when I drove up. The whole process of picking up my order at the time arranged with the Cote St Luc Road IGA took about 30 minutes. Unbelievable.
Always well treated. Always helpful. Customers are rude though. .no great wonder some feel mistreated
good place , most all the time i found all i need. just..vegetables and fruits are expensive... compared to others groceries stores
Great selection of organic, kosher and local produce!! And the bakery makes delicious cakes and breads!
During a cold cold night you can feel the men and boys running errands with their girls on the phone screaming at them inssesantly and mercilessly. 10/10 would come back
Not just any IGA, this IGA is like little Jerusalem. The selection of Kosher and international foods is impressive compared to most other grocers. At IGA Cote St. Luc, international is more than a shelf of Ortega taco shells and sauces.
Growing up, I had this misconception that IGA was overpriced and to avoid it. Now that I buy my own groceries, I realize what a lie I was living. This IGA is has conviennent hours, it is clean, there are sales and the staff members are kind. I trust that I am buying quality for reasonable prices. The picture attached is from one of my groceries trips. I recall a total of approximately $56 for all of that food. That’s pretty good right? I personally haven’t tried it myself but this location does delivery which is pretty cool. Another neat service they provide are designated baggers. In addition, these individuals may kindly help you load your groceries into your car. In summary, it’s a great place to do groceries regularly. I hoped this review helped you. :)
Every online order has errors. When they failed to provide two car boxes from my order because they were incorrectly labelled, they refused to send them out with the delivery team, instead demanding that I had to return to show my receipt to prove they were mine (the receipt and detailed order summary are prepared in duplicate and the store keeps one copy when you order online). Shoddy and sloppy, rude staff. NEVER set foot in the store again after the manager made endless excuses instead of apologizing. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone. If you're paying the premium prices of a brand name store like IGA, great customer service is an expected part of the package. Epic failure here.
I was looking for 5 items. there was just 2.
Great place to shop. Always good deals and the staff is very nice.
The produce and meat is nice and fresh. The selection of stuff they have is small but well tailored in my opinion. Staff is friendly.
Good for grocery shopping
A good supermarket, large parking lot, wide assortment of goods.
Nice from inside, organized but over priced, crazy prices sometimes double price of the market, only you can gain from specials and it is very limited products
They use fusty oil in bakery. Don't try the donuts at any cost. Some bakery staff are very rude. Highly overpriced goods. The store has no competitor nearby, so they sell overpriced stuff.
Most disgusting customer service and the owner is sick in the head! I had one question and was immediately responded with snarky attitude by a manager who wouldn't let me finish my sentence and when I was persistent on asking my question the owner came and told me to leave. The store smells of fish from the poor or maybe non-existent ventilation in the Kosher section and I am allergic to fish. I have shopped here for almost a year sometimes daily and this experience will guarantee I never go here again. If you value customer service and being heard as a consumer DO NOT shop here. I will walk the 8 blocks to the Metro Grocery store from now on.
The aisles are too narrow.
Still dont understand why its so hard to open more checkouts when its busy?....
I am a customer of IGA in the Cote St. Luc Shopping Centre as well as the Cavendish Mall. I always buy my regular Bar B.Q. chicken in the huge plastic container on the display table. I was in the store (CSL) on Saturday, May 2nd, to place my regular order and pick up a chicken. Much to my surprise, the price of the chicken has risen once again and is now $11.99. The chicken has shrunk in size, is nowhere near the size it used to be and is tasteless!!! A total disappointment in comparison to what was a well-sized and delicious chicken. You obviously have changed suppliers and it is certainly not for the better. Fooling the public is not what I thought IGA was all about. Shame on you! Maureen
Food is usually overpriced but the bakery section is good. Convenient if you're in the area
My go to grocery store every week
I placed an online order on Feb 17, when I called the following day to add a couple of items , I was not only transfered five times before I was finally connected to the right department, the woman who answered the phone told me Ithere was no order for me. She had terrible manners and didn't speak English properly. The delivery came on time but I wasn't able to get the extra items that I needed. They should hire people that treat the customers with respect.
Has everything any iga would have, the owner is a cheap ass it still looks like the early 1990's...its ugly but functional. Nice staff
Convenient location and car order pickup.
Clean+courteous.
Great little IGA in Cote St Luc. Friendly & helpful staff, always clean, and has lots of food options for all cooking needs.
Depends on day but in general always look for the deals
Love their lunch meals, and the prices of their products
Lots of choices always pritty bizzy
Very interesting place to shop
Great store! Always has a vaste choice of products and good deals. Very friendly and attentive staff.
the groceries my not be the best price but it's the nice quality and is well organized.
Very well stocked. Tap pay works. Nice place to park.
Good food. ????????????
Love shopping here
Kosher section and nice organic section. Their online grocery service is also great
Expensive for no good reason
90 % of the staff is unpleasant and won't understand basic French sentences like "je vais payer par visa". Also, the cashiers will almost always just stare at you while you're putting your things in your bags and not even answer to "goodbye"....
Clean well stocked place
Interesting, but old. Not the cleanest of IGAs
One of the better IGAs I have had the pleasure of living close to. Some of the cashiers here remember regulars by name and greet them with a huge smile and friendly banter. In terms of selection, this IGA's just about got it all, including a sizeable kosher and organic section.
Nice selection, we were late and they really wished is. Careful what you take some items were very overpriced
Ok
The ground beef is a portion for a family of one ????
good iga theres samples on some days
Decent selection and very clean. Large Kosher section which makes sense considering the location.
Varies of collection and staff are the best polite
A wide selection of international foods, spices. A great butcher section with friendly staff. Thank you
It's a large supermarket,I like it. It's better if there are more vegetables items.
Good, but super expensive.
One of my best shopping supermarket, they have everything you need for every day essentials, you name it...
You find almost everything at cavendish Mall very properly big selection of food
Free mask. Free bag.
Lots of vegan products, big grocery store.
Kind of expensive but they have good variety, including Jewish specialty foods that you can't find everywhere.
Could have a better selection. Staff is super nice and helpful though.
Covid safety measures are in place and well stocked. Nice staff and faster tills.
It's kind of small for a supermarket, but you can find must things that you need. I came looking for vitamins once and was told they didn't have them. I didn't believe the guy so I walked up and down all the aisle. Sure enough! No vitamins. That seems a strange thing for a supermarket to not carry. But they are open a bit later than most grocery stores in the area so that's a plus for those later evening emergencies.
A big supermarket, good meat choice at good prices. A lot of space but still not all big brands available. Fish department could be better as well as milk choice. The cakes not successful with a lot of chemical ingredients for no reason as it tastes bad... all of them.
Their lunch counter of prepared foods has a great selection and the prices are very reasonable. A great alternative to the fast food places closeby.
Local grocery store. Shop there often. Has everything you might need from a groceries store.
Excellent super market run & managed by owners who sincerely care about their customers.
This bad review is only because they wrap a lot of produce in plastic wrap when its not needed at all (for example, an avocado). Do the environment a favour and cut out the plastic!!! It's so unnecessary and wasteful!!
Nice place
Great peoples alert
Found everything I was looking for. I like the car order service.
Easy to find what you need
Its simple and convenient.
Very crowded, only 1 line for the cash register, a better covid-19 protocol would help, but even they don't control restrictions in Montréal. Sometimes pricey but quality products.
Ok thanks ????
its A Pretty Good Shopping Place. Theres a wine store in it as well.
Amazing collection
Oh my God I spent 5 hours.
The only reason I like this iga....its across the street from me.
Nice kosher section, good and fast ready to eat counter
Very good assortment of foods for a newly restricted diet.
shopping
A little high in price, but the meat quality is good
A great variety of produce. The best place to get kosher food.
High quality of products for an affordable price
Pas super propre, mais c'est bien. On n'attend pas trop. But the cleanest, but it's stocked and staffed, so lines never get too long.
Just like other IGA stores, it's big, clean and provides high-quality products, dairies, groceries and half-prepared and home-made foods.
A lot of these reviews focus on customer service. The few times I've needed something from the butcher section they've been helpful. In addition they do offer car orders and delivery, so...that's better than a few other places these days. Aside from that, shopping for groceries is more for me about freshness, selection and reasonable prices. They have a fresh baked good section, excellent quality. They carry various ethnic and specialty products including quality fresh corn tortillas, bagels. They have a good cheese selection, they have great fresh fruits and vegetables at good prices, they have a fresh fish counter and all the dairy you would be looking for. They have some higher end items in good supply, as compared to other places that are always out. They are also open until 10pm which is fairly rare. They also offer great specials on a regular basis AND have a web site where you can order your groceries online! So even if the cashier is not top notch service or anything remarkable, the bag people, car order people, and other workers are pretty friendly and helpful. I've never gone to this grocery store and left having to go to another one because they didn't have what I wanted, and I've never looked at their selection and thought it wasn't fresh. Plus they have all the higher quality products. To me the combination of all the things I have outlined here, that's 4 stars.
From the manager (Pino) to the staffs (Rovelinda, K Ron, & Laura) are very friendly.
I recently moved back to Montreal from the West Coast where I worked as a retail manager and I have never seen such rude customer service.I approached the cashier and with a smile said bonjour,,No answer,so I said hello and still nothing !!!!!! Not a greeting or a smile. I even had to say,,It's okay I don't need a bag.Thinking a little more staff training needs to be done.Customer service is the #1 asset to any company.
I love this place, everything fresh!
Very nice store and huge assortments, but expensive
Consistently poor customer service here, especially at the consigne booth. This IGA refuses consigné bottles purchased on premises! Nice false eco-friendly image you're trying to push, IGA, you're lying! Update: The response from owner below is a PR lie supposed to make you feel better. They didn't return my email in weeks.a
It is not the cheapest among grocery shops in Montreal. But most of the producs are organic
They have everything you need for weekly groceries, organic lines of food, the meats are always fresh, staff is helpful.
A great gluten free section
Love this store has good deals
This place doesn't care about the customer. I was at the cash and picked up a chocolate bar from the rack that said $2.99 when I got to the cash it scanned at $4.49. I told the cashier but all she did was call a clerk to verify the price. Apparently THEY placed the bars at the wrong place. I was told that's the price take it or leave it. When I went to the "courtesy" counter. They said a clue t probably changed their minds and left it there. I told the woman that there was a pile of them wrongly labeled she said "okay" and that's it. This place has gone way down since the new owner took over. I e been shopping here since 2000 and have never had a problem before the new person took over.
There is only one employee I never want him anywhere around me, ever. Rude
Average. Lineups at cash r long, and staff does there best to avoid u.
There were a lot of people in the store, but the staff could manage the situation. Toilet paper was available ????
Overpriced, just because of location.
Have been going there for 20 years
Lots of helpful staff and car orders
IGA is very expensive compared to Wal-Mart for that matter. I prefer to go only when i am buying in small quantities.
the only thing i dont like about this market is i cant bring cart to my car after shoping car service was close and i have a disability so had to let groceries in cart drive car next to it to put my grocerie in my car. that's not covienient
Staff is very friendly and helpful
I am really pleased with the service and the products that's why I always come back.
Missing a lot of the things we were looking for. Didn't have much choices. But maybe because it was the end of the day.
Super poorly laid out
Do all my shopping there. Deli staff, are fantastic.
Very close to home..easy access
Absolutely amazing
Good selection of different foods. Under renovation. Harder to find items due to renovations.
Very friendly. NOT like the other IGA in CSL
Prefer the other iga in cote saint luc
I do not recommend this iga terrible place i could I give 0 star the Phillips I lady is extremely so is the manager is the cashiers over price during covid 19 pendimic back in March it was a 3 hour wait outside and they treated ppl like animals in my opinion I pray it goes bank robt!!!!!
Nice employees and good product selection!extensive inventory of Kosher foods.
Don’t ever think of buying chicken drumsticks ???? from here. They are selling expired meats.
Wide variety of food items.
Great staff and service!!!
Nice sized store. Not to large and easy to get in a f out quickly.
Today (exceptionally) ,cashier was friendly, found everything I needed.
Love it. Good staff and good products.
Pricey fruit meat and vegies
Good selections. Good service.
Love the fish department.
A great place to shop!
Cashiers are very friendly and are very efficient. Baggers and car order guy pack quickly.
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Everything i need is there. I shop there on a regular basis.
Kind staff and good service
Manager was very rude. I didn’t understand why they wouldn’t scan my Mise O Jeu barcode from my phone. When I asked to write it down on the paper, they told me they didn’t have any.
They sell everything, but the price is on the expensive side. Sales bring the price down to a more reasonable level. The quality of products is good, except the food though...
Great place à bit small but found all that I wanted
Always pleasant. I shop at GIA at least twice a week Fruits and vegetables very expensive compared to other places, especially fruit stores
I have been shopping at this location for over 25 years, The service is terrible. The employees are rude and untrained in customer service, and the owner Lipari has blinders on. 2 weeks ago I came to shop at this location on cote st Luc road, and as I had received a delivery from them I just needed to pick up a few more things. I waited in line and went toward the smaller carts and a young tall man told me I had to take the big one. As those were clean. When I explained that I just needed a few items, and can you please clean clean the handle of the smaller part. He made it an issue and went to complain to a Philipino girl, and she too told me I had to take the bigger cart. I had enough so I took the spray, and cleaned it myself. I felt like it was a power struggle Crazy.
I like shopping there always clean store good service and friendly staffs.
Great staff, on-site butcher and fishmonger and you’ve gotta love the car order service.
Very good.
Great service but the store needs to be renovated
Has amazing vegan options. Now has better vegan cheese options ????
They are the closest IGA to me yet I go out of my way to go to other IGAs. Just a crappy, old, and badly stocked IGA
Favourite grocery store of all time. It’s so great, I can always what I’m looking for :)
5 stars cause it's open late close at 10pm everyday ????
Very good customers services
Very good food quality and selection. A bit expensive.
My favorite IGA! Maybe because I'm used to it..
Best grocery service and that girl Jessica is real nice!
Nice store wonderful variety of foods and Products very clean
Nice choice of produce and great staff
Friendly service and good food supplies most of the time.
Nice location
Safety protocols were in place and enforced.
I needed groceries
Excellent grocery store and great staff!
Good selection. Fair prices.
Excellent prepared food. Excellent service. Very friendly staff.
Shopping at IGA is an experience. The variety of meats, fish, produce and baked goods are extensive. Service is friendly. Enjoy my shopping.
My friend went to buy groceries this past Saturday August 14th an off duty employee named Tina scolded my friend for tossing the shopping cart and called him a LOSER! I recorded this on my cellphone and it will be going up on YouTube! This is the worse store as employees are rude and arrogant! Supposedly that employee lied about her name and some person there claimed to be the manager was not even a manager! Deceiving place 2 go too!
The absolute best Bar B Q chickens.
Great renovated store. More products. Same friendly and helpful staff.
It's a cozy place to buy groceries. Very large super market. It's very neat and organized. There is a section for food and Bakery.
Very easy place to shop for groceries. All the cashout registers were open. Handled alot of shoppers quickly.
Very expensive but it is a clean and organized store.
This is a great store. It's smaller format but has everything you need.
A bit pricier that other grocery stores but their produce is also fresher.
Best IGA in cote-st-luc and anywhere around for that matter
Went there rack of lamb opened and smell up my house went back to return it same cashier but lost the bill lost 30 dollars please check dates on your food butchers not doing there. Job try to food poison people not cool last time i go there
Nice grocery but there were some rude staff.
Didn't have what I went to buy
The service was very good.
Prices fairly high
Great variety of foods from around the world , fruits and vegetables really nice and fresh, big store in the Cote st luc shopping Center.... just a bit pricey. But that's par for the course today
Customer service is the worstpossible. They resist collecting bottles as mandated by la under all kind of fake pretexts . This inacceptable amd illegal.
I used to find the produce department at this store quite good but not any more... especially the organic produce... much of it old and withered. Also, don't buy any hunks of cheese in the deli section which are marked "Special" because I've done that twice and both times the cheese tasted like an old refrigerator... blech! Never again.
Regular (high) IGA prices, especially on produce. Staff (and managers) are both incompetent AND rude. Whenever I have the option, I go out of my way and shop at another store.
Staff unable to take care of an item with no price , asking customer to wait 15 mins for manager to finish his break .
IGA Cote St Luc. Always good service and courteous staff. Manager really polite and friendly.
Very busy at all times fast service cleaned and friendly environment nothing is missing at IGA what you can't find just simply asked a smiling face is always near to assist you
No comment.
Standard IGA with ready-to eat food and lots of choice; and is usually well stocked. Plent of parking available with child friendly shopping carts. Prices are not regular unless there is a discount.
good service and good food on the counter
They crrandberry/chicken wrap had almost no chicken. If i wanted a dalad thats what i would of bought. Dont be cheap !!!!
Excellent story. Close to home, very clean, easy to find what you need. Staff very helpful.
I can't believe they demo grilled cheeeeeese!!!! Unbelievable!!!
Very popular and in an orderly manner. Huge variety of goods.
The best fried chicken in town, yummy
They sell armenian products!
Nice store, not my usual though
Every beer I wanted was out of stock.
Great place to do grocery
Nice people and good variety
Good to shop around and to compare the food products and prices. Look for savings coupons in the iga store. Also good to check out the expire date on dairy and meat products
Good store, nice selection and a kosher meat department. The parking lot can be a bit difficult to get in and out of at time.
My every day store ???? love to shop there.
Price is a little bit expensive, but nice staff
The blonde girl in the cheese section was extremely rude and loud! She didn’t even wash her hands
IGA is a good place to do your groceries, a little pricey, but I'm hooked on air miles. They also have good deals every once in a while.
