I live in Gatineau. Everytime I come to Montreal I never fail to come here before going home to stock up on all the old country breads and sweets. Best place in Montreal!

Brandon Nolet (Linux Liaison)

Great bread products here and a wide variety to boot! Wish they would accept credit or at least debit though.

Been going to this bakery for over ten years now! Drive further to get fresh baked bread. The last 3 times I went the rye bread was old or dry? No point of going there anymore, if you can buy the same poor quality at the grocery store for cheaper.

I live nearby. It smells around very good, fresh bread in the air =)) but actually the bread is tasty only the first day after it was baked. There is a bunch of buns you can choose... With sesame, poppy seeds, just plain, kids like them

Silvia Di Marco

Love this place...fresh n prices are good...a must visit

Dancehall In Common

Delicious danishes great selection of bread & rolls. The deli section is nice also

Anton Serov

Always fresh, excellent quality for good price! Recommend to everyone!

Vince Mcloud

Friendly staff but the pastries and danishes are very dry, almost like they have been made many MANY hours before being purchased... The cannoli's I bought (cream filled) the shells were dry and the cream was rock solid from sitting in the display case for hours.. and the 2 cinnamon cheese rolls i got were actually not bad but still dry... All in all I personally wouldn't come here for pastries but the breads looked good..

Catalin Apopei

Kade Audain

Delicious breads and confectionery. I buy as often as I can.

I’ve always loved the rye bread, which is available at my Metro store. However, lately I have found that your rye bread is dry, unevenly sliced and is definitely not the same quality as before. Previously the bread was dense, chewy and delicious, and you could taste the rye flavour! Have you changed the process...or the flour? Something is different for sure, and I have considered buying from another source! Please bring back your original rye bread!

Definitely the best bakery in the neighbourhood if not in Montreal. All the produces are freshly baked and well priced. I used to go there in my youth with my mom (early 2000s) when we lived around there, Now that I’m in my 20s and live out of town, I still try to pass by whenever opportunity presents itself, the atmosphere of the small place and the warm smiles that greet you simply make this bakery a one of a kind experience. Definitely worth a visit. By the way, the rye bread is also amazing!!!

Well worth the walk over.

Ray Taylor

Bakery store renowned for their Challah bread and rolls as well as other eastern European style breads and pastries. They also have a deli counter (limited selection) and a small assortment of imported items. Day-old bakery items at crazy low prices.

The Dude

Best bakery in NDG! Fresh made daily, lots of selection and super friendly staff. Check out there day old section for some bargains.

Andréas Vamvakas

Go to place for rye bread in the city.

Kevin

They are **Cash Only** The bread here is really strong. Theres a reason they can be found in many grocery stores. I recommend the sesame seed egg buns. The mille feuilles was fantastic as well. If you like jerky try the kernatzel, its more fresh less salted and goes down easy

Reaching new lows, the bakery had empty shelves at 4:30 Friday afternoon. Asked why the clerk replied "they all went home!" . The more likely is that I had to make my way past 5 characters panhandling at the front doors. Not a problem for me, I'm over 6 feet and well over 250 lbs., Perhaps not so easy for the two elderly ladies waiting in line. Or the mother pushing a stroller. Snowdon USED TO BE a terrific bakery. Maybe one day they will be again.

Great bakery. Tasty breads, rolls, danishes, croissants, and also a few grocery items just in case you need some essentials. Their 100% whole wheat bread is probably the best I've ever had in my life - far less sweet than typical 'commercial' bread and a few other bakeries I've tried before and since. Their wares are available in most supermarkets, but nothing beats going to the bakery!

CSL RC Lorne Kronish

Quality is very industrial. Might as well go to any chain grocery. Quality close to horrible. Avoid unless for emergency.

Went there after tasting the pumpernickel bread at my gf's uncle place... Now, I'm never getting my bread anywhere else! The pumpernickel is still my favorite, I eat it toasted, straight without butter or jam and it is delicious! As a student, the Day-old prices are amazing (less expensive than cheap white bread from the grocery) and the bread is still very fresh!

Kacie Shan

Kate Avrith

I grew up eating their pastries and bread. Always been just as good as the very first time. Excellent quality and always delicious. I love snowdom Bakery!

Laura Aliaga

Best kept secret in Montreal. Amazing pastries, fresh bread and the most affordable price on the west end of the island. But they no longer take debit, so remember to bring cash!

Take advantage of the day old bread - steeply discounted and way better than what you can buy at the store. Absolutely get the cheese danishes - they are amazing!

Barry Robinson

Good selection of baked goods, just not a big fan of cash only places..

Marysia P

Bread is excellent - much better/fresher than their supermarket version. They have bagels without eggs and mini bagels which were delicious. The place is cash only, although they do have an ATM.

Stan Carman

Great selection of delicious fresh breads and pastries also a small deli and sandwiches and the day old breads and pastries are an fantastic deal also pleasant and friendly staff

Ally’s Home Design

All their breads are baked fresh daily. Both excellent and inexpensive. They supply breads for delis all over the city. Best chalah in Montreal; I always buy three and freeze two. Pumpernickel-onion is also a favourite. Day-old bread is half price (or less) and still very fresh; buy and freeze. Besides breads, their stuff is just okay; I seldom buy any except for rolls. The service line can be long, so be patient.

Cheap ingredients, I ate their rolls with poppy seeds and I am feeling bad all the day. Too much SUGAR as well! Honestly, only the people who don't know what is a good bakery can love it. Only cash - they avoid to show their income to Revenue Agency lol. Only one plus: it's cheap, nothing else
