Absolutely amazing pizza. Attended a wedding yesterday that was catered by the mobile pizza truck. Never been to a pizza catered wedding before but sign me up for another! Got to try all the different pizzas and they are all great. Amazing garlic crust as well! Thanks for the good food.
A bit chaotic when busy, but baked goods like their tarts, loaf cakes, and fruit-loaded muffins are delicious! Happy I got the chance to come over and give this place a try. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
Great local atmosphere
What a hidden gem in Yarrow! All the baked goods look fantastic, the sandwich I had was amazing. Fresh organic baked goods in a charming farmhouse decor, what could be better?
When we go hiking in the Fraser Valley, we always stop at this fantastic bakery. The quality of the products and there is no exception, is extremely good. I am unsure what kind of people post the one and two star reviews, criticizing baked goods and friendliness of staff. We have never encountered a single person working here, who was not polite and we never tasted any baked goods, which disappointed. Highly recommended.
Great coffee and treats.
Awesome coffee and the cinnamon buns are legendary.
I highly recommend you stop in at Chestnut Springs Bakery if driving through Yarrow. Great tea and coffee and the baking is always fresh out of the oven. It's a regular stopping off point when I ride my motorcycle through town.
I stopped by for a bit but I need to come by here and actually have date at this location. It looks fantastic!
I had the orange cranberry scone and it was amazing.
Member of this company (unsure of his business title), Jeff Grubel, forcibly tried to sit on me using a stool from Chestnut Springs Bakery (affiliate company of Farm to Forno?) and then coughed on me and my partner (intentionally threatening us with Covid). If the business owner, Brock Rodgers (who was present during the events described in this review) wishes to dispute this review, I have video footage to prove all allegations as well as a report to the RCMP on the day these events occurred ---which include: trying to use a stool to sit on me (threat of assault) deliberate coughing on myself and my partner during the height of the Covid19 pandemic (assault) and illegal business operation (city bylaw violation- no permit to operate, Covid19 bylaw violation). EDIT** I was never a previous tenant of Chestnut Springs Bakery so I am unsure why that would be alleged in the company response. Bizarre.
First time there, great place to stop on a bike ride. My coffee was great.
Great little spot. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food!
Great coffee. Friendly staff. Cinnamon buns look fantastic.
Very good food, excellent coffee. Also a nice atmosphere!
Good place to study
They make delicious drinks and the best cookies!
Great place for cinnamon buns and coffee in a cool little place.
Friendly inviting staff and atmosphere. Delicious fresh made pastríes and yummy organic coffee. Super cute lil place that's a gem of a find!
Wow, great find, thanks Google! Good coffee, great muffins, great pastries, great turkey sandwich. Happy staff serving. Worth a quick detour for breakfast. We will be back.
The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were very nice albeit a bit disorganized. The carrot brick was somehow devoid of moisture.
The bakery is great and staff were friendly, but we waited over an hour for our pizza from the food truck. This wouldn’t have been a problem, however the staff rudely kept telling us “20 minutes” without even checking for our order. Masks were not being worn by staff interacting with customers, putting everyone at risk. We will not be back.
Not very impressed with the food. Sandwiches are pre-made so not that fresh tasting. This was my first time which I expressed to the person taking my order so I expected a warmer welcome and a bit of help in knowing what to order.
Very good food and the staff are quite nice. It replaced a sandwich deli, which I was sad to see close. However I'm glad it was replaced with another place that offers delicious food. Breakfast burrito is delicious and they have this tiny almond bar-cake things that are top notch.
A cozy bakery with a variety of hot drinks and a rustic ambiance that fits the mold for visitors or passersby to Yarrow. They have everything you would expect in a coffeehouse, and more. Have a sweet tooth and found that the mighty moose ice cream parlour across the street isn't open? Chestnut Springs may be for you. Sometimes our 11 year old takes his sister here for a date. Something we all appreciate.
Cinnamon rolls are the best
Try the chocolate oatmeal spice cookies. Best cookies I've ever had.
Stale muffins, not impressed. They were fresh Morning Glory from the display case.
Great service, good coffee and yummy treats. Yarrows best coffee shop.
Great atmosphere, great food, great place for a coffee date, to study, eat breakfast, or pick up and take to go
Fantastic, try the cinnamon buns!
Not a bad spot, better than Starbucks.
As somebody who lives in Yarrow and went to this coffee shop almost weekly I am really disappointed and shocked in my recent service. I have a mask exemption (which has not been an issue anywhere else I’ve gone before this day). When my husband and I walked in all of the staff had their masks off behind the counter, and when we walked up to the counter they put them back on which we didn’t think twice about. But then a staff member walked up to me with a box of masks and told me I needed to put one on. I explained I had an exemption and she told me “we don’t accept exemptions here”. I was in disbelief. I then asked to speak with the owner/manager and she informed me she wasn’t in and then handed me a business card and said “sorry”. While I ordered my coffee another staff member came into the back WITHOUT a mask on…. I was so shaken up by this I had to leave my husband to wait for the drinks. I’ve supported this coffee shop for years and years and now I don’t think I can if they are going to be so discriminating.
Good soup and sandwiches, and nice atmosphere
Great drinks and a nice variety of gluten free baked goods including a breakfast sandwich, muffins, and gf brownie. They also sell free range eggs at a decent price.
Delicious scones...overpriced, small portions of the sandwiches
Always great service and great coffee here. Highly recommend a stop here if you are coming through Yarrow!
I have pre-ordered one Pizza for 6.15 PM and when I got there to pick up the pizza they were not able to tell me when the pizza is going to be ready. I understand they were behind in making the pizzas it you should be able to see how many pizzas are ahead of my order and know your production every 10 minutes and be able to estimate when the pizza is going to be ready. Instead they were asking people to wait around or were telling everyone that the pizza is going to be ready in 20 minutes. Don’t really understand the point of preordering for a specific time then. Pizza was tasty but their ordering and order management needs improvement.
Love this place!
We were driving home from Cultus Lake and saw this Organics bakery and stopped by for a snack. I bought some muffins, scones and coffee. The muffins are surprisingly moist and fresh. I highly recommend this cafe bakery.
Fantastic baked goods (I recommend the multi fruit scone)and custom coffees as well as super Staff then off to the Vedder to chase silver ✊
Amazing food. Friendly staff. Good food options including gluten free.
Great grub and coffee.
Excellent service and so happy Wicked java and food I highly recommend visiting this business !!!
Awesome bacon sticky bun, although share it because it is quite decadent!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good coffee, amazing soups, and my favourite cinnamon buns ever!
Hidden gem in downtown Yarrow. Coffee and Fresh Baked Goods are always the Best!
The bakery treats are amazing. Good coffee too. Can't until COVID restrictions lighten up and they allow sit-down service (and sandwiches!) again.
Good food and nice little place with some pretty unique decor.
Cool and beutiful scenery
Amazing selection of cinnamon buns. You have to try the Caramel and bacon wrapped one. Always a stop here when nearby.
This place is great. I dunno what those one star people are on about... we met a lovely regular in line and he recommended the cinnamon buns. They did not disappoint. We also got cookies, muffins, eggs, coffee and bread and they were all excellent. The staff were all very friendly and provided prompt service. Next time I'm in town I will definitely stop. Thank you!! ????????
Great staff
Loved it!
I love it here so much. The cinnamon buns are to die for and the staff make me feel like I'm right at home. What an amazing bakery.
Very good food and pastry and friendly staff in a nice place... But: Please serve your smothies in a glass instead of plastic cups and help reduce all the plastic waste on earth!
I would like to propose they open at 8 am on Sundays even though it’s a Sunday, as having to wait so long to get my hands upon a most tasty Cinnamon Bun and Coffee to too much for me to bare.
Loving the Oreo cheesecake & dark roost coffee
Such a cute little stop! Good coffee and a selection of treats. The savoury scone was tasty. A few gluten free options if you're looking.
Good selection of pastry’s and Sandwiches, coffee is great too
Paid $10 for a ‘sandwich’, if you can call it that. It was chicken and Brie. In the centre of the croissant there was a couple of slices of chicken and a couple of slices of Brie. That was it no mayo, no lettuce or tomatoes. I’ve had better sandwiches from a gas station! Total rip off will not go there again.
Great place for a latte and a treat!
Amazing coffee, tasty baked stuff, and the girls are all awesome!
Great food ????
Awesome little cafe in Yarrow, which appears to be a real nice alternative to Fort Langley.
Great place for a coffee ☕ stop.
Great coffee ☕️ Would love to visit again.
First time I've been after the re do. Fantastic. This will be a must stop for cyclists.
1 server was really sweet, the other one was literally shouting. Pricey.
They have the best cinnamon buns
Loved it
If you're passing through Yarrow, this is a must stop! Try the apple muffin or the blueberry scone with a latte and you have a great morning treat. Their pies look amazing too! If you're stopping in for lunch, try one of the paninis. They have a lovely outdoor patio to enjoy on a sunny day, or cozy indoor seating.
Food was ok but nothing special. I'd heard good things about the bakery but I was disappointed. The service was mediocre; we didn't even get a greeting upon entering, and there was only a couple people in there at the time. The indoor seating is tight but has kind of a rustic decor. I can see why some might like going here, but I won't be back.
Amazing scones and costumer service!
Been here a bunch of times now and it is a great "treat stop" while out riding the bike. The baked goods are fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxing and the Republica Coffee is always a win. I have started planning my weekend bike routes around this place to make sure I have a chance to swing by before heading home. Nothing beats good baked good and coffee and this place has both.
Awesome place????????
Delicious! I got their espresso, very good!
We moved to Lindell Beach a year ago and since then we have stopped in here and have never leave feeling disappointed. I am gluten-free and have love everything I have gotten, so so good and not one have I ever seen anyone without there mask. We will support this bakery in every way possible. Please keep up the terrific work you guys do . Only one request please bring back your Lemon Cranberry scones my husband love them
Sweet little small town café and bakery. Haven't tried much of the baked goods, but the pecan wedges are good. Lattes have been moderate (no art or microfoam) but the espresso con panna was good.
Coffee is good, but the muffins are fantastic. After a breakfast sampling I had to buy a bag, and even after 2 days they were sooo good! Must stop here again.
Awesome little bakery, friendly staff and great service. Quite cozy, but has lots of tables and a rustic decor. The baking is really good, lots of different options, including but not limited to gluten free stuff. You can even get supply’s to bake your own goods here. They serve dang good coffee and if that’s not for you they also have tea, pop and I think I even saw milk. Pop in and say hi, highly recommend this shop.
Great coffee and great customer service! Awesome local small town feel.
Just stop in on my way to the river for a coffee! Almost $6 for a small iced coffee is huge rip off!! This COVID excuse is BS...how are we “IN THIS TOGETHER “when you try to rip off peoples!! I hope all this vendors that do this go out of business when this is over. I will remember this and so should everyone!!
If you happen to be in Yarrow, plan to stop for breakfast or lunch at Chestnut Springs. They have a fantastic menu for both and baked goods for dessert that are incredibly delicious. This is a great place to stop for a specialty coffee and muffin in the afternoon as well!! Seriously these people take pride in making wholesome amazing food. Don't forget to grab a loaf of fresh baked bread on your way out the door!
Amazing quality. Had the pecan bar and I want to go back to get another one!
Beautiful place. Great coffee, miserable staff. Why are they so unhappy?
Such a cute little coffee shop/bakery. Coffee beans roasted locally (Fort Langley). Delicious treats, friendly service! Wait times for drinks (I got a mocha) are a bit long, but that just gives you time to look around at all the neat decor. All in all, a very lovely place that I am looking forward to visiting as frequently as a student budget allows :)
We ordered the Fig-Prosciutto special excellent pizza lots of flavor and the CREMINI MUSHROOM, ROASTED GARLIC & FONTINA PIZZA, not a fan, but it was ok, too bland.
Always good!!
Really great except the long line ups.
Super cute cafe. Fresh made foods.
To be honest, the best fire oven pizza in town. My favorite is the Vegetarian Pizza, must have. Highly recommended ????
Best cookies!
Everything was quite good, but there's no change table in the restroom.
My children give it "the best stars of all" - yummy treats & great service!!
Their Apple Pie is to die for
Lovely local coffee shop. So much better than the chains!
Prices are a tad on the high side. Meagre amount of Coffee in the mug!!! Mostly foam.
Always a delicious stop. Mouthwatering cinnamon buns.
Really trendy cafe with really good coffee and amazing homemade baked goods. 11/10
This place is very quaint but lively. The interior is eclectic with vintage items all around. Perfect for the vibe that Yarrow has. The food and coffee was good
I usually am not a big fan of scones but the scones at this place were simply awesome. The servers were cheerful. The ambience was pretty nice and I felt welcome in the place. Everything on display looked delicious but I had one scone and then I had another one. The coffee was not as well roasted as I am accustomed to but then that is not something that will keep me away from this place in future. Looking forward to visiting it soon and trying out some other goodies.
Good coffee. High prices. A large Americano is 4.30. Two coffees with tax is darn near ten bucks. The shop has a nice layout with good looking baked goods, cold drinks, and even eggs for sale. There is an outside seating area, and a very nice park and playground next door.
Perfect place for a pit stop in Yarrow. Sandwiches and coffee were both great.
I decided to check out this place today for my first time and I was unhappy with something that happened. I ordered 2 coffees and 2 cinnamon buns. When I got to my car , the barista didn’t put the lid on my coffee cup properly and it spilt all down my leg. I noticed that the Americano didn’t have any milk in it so I took it back in to ask for almond milk the barista said “okay but you have to pay for it” I said no worries. Then I told her btw the lid wasn’t put on properly and I spilt it all down my leg. She looked at my leg and said “80 cents”. A friendly apology or asking if I was okay would have been nice. Other than this the cinnamon bun was delicious.
love the baking selections every day
A nice place for a coffee or light lunch. The new patio is nice for those sunny warm days.
Great baking
As a local I have frequented Chestnut Springs since they opened as Hazel Springs. The attitude of staff lately has been rude and unwelcoming and caused me to finally just walk out today. I live about 2 min away, so a few weeks ago I called 17 minutes before they closed to ask if they had any cinnamon buns left. Instead of a simple yes or no, the girl who answered curtly responded to my question with “we close in 15 min”. I politely told her that that wasn’t my question, and re-asked if they have cinnamon buns and she again repeated that they close in 15. Finally after asking a 3rd time she tells me “we are closing...and we don’t have any anyway” - by that point it was tough to tell if I should believe her. Many times in the past I have called just before closing or at any other time of the day, and if they had cinnamon buns, they would set it aside for me to be ready when I arrived in a few minutes. it used to be warm and welcoming - happy to serve. So, I decided to see if things had changed and dropped in a couple weeks later (today) early in the morning. There were no other customers in line. I ordered 2 cinnamon buns with extra icing as I typically would. In a curt tone the girl behind the counter told me, “they just come with what is on them” - which, looking at them was a dollop of icing about the size of a toonie on a cinnamon bun bigger than my hand. I told her I have come here for years and have always ordered extra icing and they have either slathered on more or they provide extra on the side. She got indignant in her tone and said she couldn’t do that. When I stared at her in disbelief and said nothing, she continued on to say that the icing is in the back and they try to stay away from each other (implying covid restrictions). I stood there for another minute and watched in disbelief as the other person from the back come into the front and began to work alongside her. At that point I decided to simply walk out and skip the cinnamon buns as I didn't want to reward such lazy behaviour and poor customer service. Before writing this review, I called to speak to the owner who I have come to know over the years as a frequent customer, but several times no one answered the phone (even though they were open), and when I got voicemail it was full. This used to be a unique, local cafe that locals like me used to frequent several times a week for pies, cinnamon buns, pizza, and even a tea pot. And I could understand that the cinnamon buns aren't like they used to be (they used to be with or without icing, and the ones with icing had a bunch slathered on) but you could always get food to your preference...so without that, and the 'service' basically being totally unwelcoming and rude it simply feels like you are being pushed somewhere else and your business isn't important or wanted.
Engaging staff, best scones ever, rustic village scene with local patrons
Got it right!!!! Off the beaten path for sure but worth a detour. This place has gotten it right. They proudly display a great roast of coffee, Republica. The store is cute the staff are fantastic and the baking is absolutely excellent. No plastic wrap here. The selection of in-house baked muffins is better than anything JJ Bean has (sorry John, your stores are number two after this place). So wonderful and refreshing. They close earlier than you might expect so check their hours before you make the trip (not a complaint, just a heads-up).
I just discovered this local gem a few weeks ago, and it is quickly becoming my favourite place to go to for a fabulous latte and (I’m pretty confident) the best cinnamon bun (smothered in cream cheese icing) on the planet! The only downside has been that the cinnamon buns sell out fast. Best to be there early if you’d like to try one. ;)
My apologies . I got wrong information. this this is not what happened . I had a conversation with the owner and it was a mutual decision due to COVID-19 that they not go forward with this. my apologizes .I was wrong .
This is a cute place and muffins were really good. However, the service is pretty disappointing. I asked to have our pastries warmed, but none of them were. I also asked that the barista add a couple of ice cubes to my tea (because extremely hot water burns green tea leaves), but they wouldn’t do it “because the cups can’t handle it”, which makes no sense. They instead used boiling water directly on the tea and then give me a separate plastic cup full of ice to add in myself (which was wasteful). This came off as lazy and poor service. Overall, the service made me feel like my presence was a major inconvenience to them. Not what you expect from a high end coffee place. Let it be known that cup maintained it structural integrity despite the ice (haha)…
Very pleasant atmosphere. Great homemade foods coffee and nice outdoor seating. Very pleasant spot in Yarrow.
Always a happy place, great customer service.... until today. The staff seemed impatient and grumpy. As a rule, I get my cafe au lait at Waves. Unfortunately for Chestnut’s, They had never heard of a cafe au lait, which is half brewed coffee and half steamed milk. Not complicated. Been around for ever. They asked me what it was and I told them. They said they could charge me for a coffee and glass of oat milk since they didn’t know what a cafe au lait is. Needless to say it was expensive. But the worst part is, they didn’t steam the oat milk, so my cafe au lait was COLD lol. I asked why, and she said I didn’t ask for steamed oat milk. (Sigh) So my fault eh? I also got a zucchini chocolate muffin, and it had quite a few pieces of egg shell in it. So I threw it away. Please, you’re a bakery and coffee shop. Please research cafe au laits. Even Starbucks serves them, although they are terrible from there. Wave’s are pure perfection.
Beautiful treats, great coffee, terrific people!
I come here almost every Friday on my way into work, or coming home from work. The coffee is great, and so are the baked goods. The staff are really welcoming, and the hospitality is great! Very clean, and nice atmosphere.
Food was good , service was eh.
The waitress greeted and checked us in. We waited about 10' to be seated, and we got a table very shortly afterwards. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic Italian vibe (candle light dinner with beautiful music). I have to say that the noise level is a bit loud because the restaurant is pretty small.
The bakery is beautiful and the pizza truck is one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
Love this place! Organic fresh coffee, organic grains and yes, even gluten free muffins. The best gluten free I have tasted in all my searches. The pumpkin-cranberry muffin is the best, and compares favourably with any full gluten I have eaten, both in texture and taste. Warm and friendly atmosphere, and helpful service. Great addition to our village!
Best kept secret in the Fraser valley. Good food great bunch of people, and the patio is so nice to sit and relax at.
Disappointed. Used to be a top spot but the last few visits whether for coffee or a Friday night pizza during the market the staff are quite grumpy, on several occasions. Not sure if they are taking on too many tasks or just tired but you now get a pretty strong sense of “why did you even walk through the door?” from almost anyone on staff. And don’t bother coming in the last 45 - 30 minutes they are open. They are more concerned with cleaning up and closing down (while the sign says they are still open) than making coffee or grilling sandwiches. The baking is still great (if a bit pricey but expected in an organic bakery) but the service has slid down a few notches for sure.
Delicious! A welcome surprise, my Fiancée and I re not normally ones for organic bakeries as the food tends to be rather flavor less, but everything we had here was absolutely delicious. Breakfast wraps, turkey and brie sandwiches, carrot cake, hot chocolate and fruit smoothies, all were excellent, and topped off with very cheery and helpful staff and a beautiful little location. A can't miss if you're in the area!
Love everything about this place
Great Place Excellent cinnamon buns
Never coming back here accused my husband of theft due to his apperance. Disgusting!
Lovely atmosphere, delicious organic treats like your mom made, amazing staff...better than therapy! ♥♥♥♥♥
If you're ever passing by on the way to cultus Lake this place is worth a visit. The service is great and the food is delicious. We had the chicken and brie croissant sandwich and the mixed berry smoothie. This is my new favorite stop on the way to the lake.
I have never ate here yet but the mochas are excellent and i am sure the food is as well
Very cute little bakery cafe. The soup was tasty and the bread that I ordered to go with it was amazing! Can't wait to go back for a sandwich!!
Unprofessional and bizarre behaviour from the staff.
We were very disappointed in the food and service. Our sandwiches were made one at a time at least 5 minutes apart. They forgot the soup and I had to ask for it after I finished the sandwich. The bread was homemade and very good but cut extremely thick. The sandwich filling was sparse. Didn't care for the coffee. A cute place with vintage decor.
Very nice service and delicious homemade pie!!!
Nice little bakery. Great specialty hot drinks
An eclectic little place.....so fun to visit, sit and enjoy. Friendly staff and delicious treats!!
We ordered the the Friday night pizzas...the price of pizzas is super inflated but we took a chance under a very false assumption that the size of the pizza would match the excessively overpriced cost. We were wrong and super disappointed...the pizzas are super small and only decent quality...Definitely not worth the money...think about how much a pizza truly costs to make and it will be clear to anyone that Chestnut Springs owners are price gouging their customers. I would not recommend this place based on their extortionate pricing...our 11 and 14 year old kids also thought the same thing...a message we will all share with others.
Real good coffee home baking
Wow . Will be back great lunch and wonderful hot soup and tasty sandwich and apple pie like none other and all home cooked. Friendly young ladies and clean eatry . A must stop when in Yarrow.
Very good coffe and treats.nice staff also unlike your local Tim Hortons. Lol
We come here all the time & it is such a wonderful place for a coffee and snack. But unfortunately the last time we were here there was a theft a few days before. And one of these little girls behind the counter accused my husband (because of his apperance & tattoos) that he was the thief! & had the owners husband come and accuse him in front of everyone.... Like how disgusting and in front of our children and customers. Not only has my husband lived in yarrow all his life but part of the community with murals and our children attend yarrow elementary. You should be ashamed of judging someone by there apperance. -stephanie
Great Bakery on Yarrow Central, to buy snacks and (muffins, my favorites)
Food and coffee was good but the staff member (lady with curly hairy) treated my daughter, my mom and myself very rudely. I can’t imagine speaking to someone in this way, I was very taken off guard. I don’t know how treating other humans so rudely, let alone customers is okay. I won’t be back, which is a shame bc I love this spot.
Good coffee
I’ve been there a few times now and some staff are ok but others are so rude. I did bring up a very serious issue with the owner and he did call back but it wasn’t resolved. The food is overpriced, the staff can be brutal and the food has been undercooked more than not. I won’t return and I tell others not to bother.
Everything is very tasty, excellent coffee. A great destination for a drive in the country. Eve charger out back is a bonus!
Fantastic!!!
Love the place
Good food. Friendly service.
Great tasty food! The pizza truck is top notch
Their muffin was tasty. At patio under an umbrella in sunny day was so nice. I will be back here.
They have the best Gluten Free muffins.
Great bakery items, love the coffee, wonderful service. Must stop by if passing through and hankering for some caffeine and a muffin or cookie!
Best coffee in town!!! No where else they have the best trained baristas in town. The staff is supper nice and professional. Thank you Chesnut :)
Great coffee Friendly service Great baked treats. Definitely o good stop on the way to Cultus
A must stop when out for a bicycle or motorcycle or any ride! Love this place. The various baked goods that my husband & I have tried are delicious. I’ve even purchased a lovely coffee cup with a bicyclist logo.
Charming place with a friendly vibe. Enjoyed coffee and pastry.
AMAZING bakery Items & coffee!!! BUT... The staff really could be more friendly. I come to the bakery regularly because the food & drink is SO good, but not always the most welcoming environment. They need to smile more, and make customers feel more welcomed through there doors. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. I know more people have said the same, so I know I'm not the only one who's got that vibe. Also I suggest, if someone orders a bakery item, it's should be automatic that you ask them if they'd like it warmed up? Because if you'd like it warmed and it's already been packaged before you get to the till to pay and ask, they will NOT heat it for you! (Even if you haven't touched it and it's just sitting on the pick up counter) ???? If that's your rule then ok, but you'd better make darn sure your staff is asking if you'd like it warmed BEFORE they box it for you. I've had this happen a few times and often see it happen to other customers while I'm there! Anyways, keep up the delish coffee & treats!
I was a regular customer of this bakery and would often come for afternoon lunch breaks or after work for some freshly made coffee, sandwiches (used to love their turkey brie!) and ginger cookies. Then the pandemic hit, this was my first day coming back here and my oh my have things change (and not for the better sadly in this little town of Yarrow we love so much) :( The younger workers are grumpy, rude, lack customer service skills, refuse to give recommendations and lack basic common sense on how to treat customers. I paid a whopping $6.00 for a basic coffee folks!!! This once thriving establishment is slowly crumbling and falling apart at the cracks and I can't seem to figure out whether it is due to new management or what? They have poor hours, closed on Mondays/Tuesdays which is the beginning of the work week (so inconvenient). I've switched back to the Perfekt Deli, at least the great you kindly and have decently priced and delicious pastries. The quality of the baked goods here has extremely plummeted and become degraded, charging WAY TOO MUCH OVERPRICED. Really sad as this was the one hope I had for Yarrow.
Amazing food & excellent coffee
Great coffee and excellent onsite baking!
I feel like I need to comment on my experience here. My partner and I came through town and stopped to have a quick bite to eat. We went to the window to make our order, it was a busy day so it took some time. We had people that were trying to get by on the sidewalk and were quite upset that people were forming a line so close to where people were meant to walk and some weren't moving out of the way. So, the experience didn't start off well. When we got to the window, there was a blonde haired lady and she seemed super grumpy and was not friendly at all. She was in fact quite rude and seemly has no customer service skills whatsoever. We tried our best to just make our order and patiently wait. When we got our order it was not what we expected. I got a latte, and a muffin and my other half got a cinnamon bun and a regular coffee. We grabbed our stuff and got back in our car to leave. Well, we were so disappointed with our food. The muffin I got was under cooked and the cinnamon bun my partner got had a hair in it. SO gross. My latte tasted burnt and it was overall not a good experience. WE will NOT be coming back.
Great little place away from the hussle (hassle) and bussle. The coffee is worth the trip from Chilliwack. And their baked goods, eg muffins/scones simply delicious.
Extremely costly. A half bowl of their soup plus a grilled cheese sandwich cost c$14. I find All their soups are extremely acidic. In addition You need 10 minutes to fill up a 7 ounce glass of cold water. Wow. In the end, they encourage you bring all your plates back in the designated area. There is no service, but there is a tipping option.
Butter tart very good- might need more filling. PB and chocolate chip cookies very good.
Nice little bakery. Didn't try any food the the London Fog was really good. Will go back here again.
