I love the local, small business aspect of Bowl of Cream. Chatham kent is a very local, agricultural, farmers market kind of place and thus the perfect spot for a pop up ice cream store that sources from well-known local vendors. The ice cream was great, the fresh strawberries delicious and the spoon was wooden! Next time I'm trying something with the homemade caramel sauce. I love supporting local and this shop has my business!

My biggest pregnancy craving was ice cream and to say that the apple pie ice cream hit the spot is a down play on how good it actually was! I first heard about Bowl of Cream last year. I had seen Jen’s delightful creations on her Facebook page, but had to wait the ENTIRE summer to try one, when we drove from London to Grand Bend to experience the Ice Cream Festival. As soon as we got there, I knew exactly what I wanted and where I was going. The line was long, but boy, was it worth the wait! By the time it was our turn to order, Jen (not surprisingly!) was sold out of my top picks. My boyfriend and I decided to split The Dutch Surprise and after the first bite, we looked at each other and had wished we had gotten our own because we didn’t want to share. The creamy soft serve to homemade caramel sauce ratio was on point and the stroopwafel was a delightful compliment to tie it all together. There’s no other way to explain it... it was pure magic! I’ve enjoyed following Bowl of Cream’s journey on Facebook. I especially love seeing pictures and videos of all the new creations and flavour combinations! You can tell Jen is passionate about her work and really puts her heart and soul into everything she does! We hope to make the drive to Chatham this summer to enjoy more of her delicious ice cream! Next time, I will be getting my own! ;)

BEST.SOFT.SERVE EVERRRRRR!!!!!!! Honestly nothing could compare to her ice cream and wonderful desert creations. I went their once last summer and didn’t get a chance to have it again till her first pop up this year!!! That was honestly worth the wait and I can’t wait to enjoy it all summer!! Quite possibly the best soft serve I've ever had... honestly this ice cream is amazing! First time I tried it was at the Christmas markets at the armories. I was waiting in the car with my son because he had just finished having a meltdown while my sister enjoyed the lights with my nephew. My sister ran back to the car and said, "oh my god, you have to come try this. They have waffle cones coated with candy canes and really cool desserts! " My son was getting ready for bed, but I thought, "hey why not, its Christmas! Maybe this will help him calm down". Sure enough, melt down averted. I only wish they had a store front so I can get it anytime I want lol.

This icecream is the best! Some types of icecream make me feel nauseous after eating them but not this one. I have also bought the caramel sauce which is so delicious on popcorn and in coffees. At the pop ups there are always new combinations and many with baked goods from the best spot in town. Jen is so kind and always greets you with the biggest smile every time.
