The manger and owner is very racist, treated me with attitude , extremely rude , according to my experience visible minority aren't welcome , though she is as well !!!!!, and though they pay $$$$$ , too. Never , ever again. You don't even deserve this 1 star.
Montreal West location, 51 Westminster Av N.
Hello Joseph, Thank you for getting back to me. I had a hurtful experience at your store and when I asked her " pls call the manager ", she replied "I'm the manager and I'm the owner." I do respect the store polices etc.., but to be treated with attitude and discrimination right from the moment I stepped foot inside the store is totally unacceptable. I was talking to her in a very respectful manner at the beginning, but she was extremely dismissive and rude. We are regular customers to this location since last spring , but NOT anymore neither me nor my family. While waiting to be served by the waitress I was checking the ready packaged cookies, and due to some health issues in my hand I dropped a a package , so I tried reaching for someone as soon as possible to help clean the stuff, I found the waitress busy with other clients, then I approached the Owner/ Manager as she described herself , asking for her help. She replied rudely and impolitely " let me finish what I'm doing" . so, I smiled , apologized, and left to wait beside the mess that I did. It has been little mess, few cookies out of the box that's it !!! She followed me after a little while, and the moment she saw the falling package she was so upset and nervous .She bent down to clean the stuff. I was so embarrassed and I said " I' m sorry for this, and if my hands are clean I would have helped you" she didn't reply , she never bothered to say "never mind or its' ok , " she avoided any eye contact ,she was completely dismissive and rude. So I picked my order ( 2 Almond biscottis a cup of tea , bottle of water ) and left. Upon exiting the store I tasted one of the biscottis and I found it very dry and sweet , so I came back and asked the waitress "May I change this almond biscotti with the chocolate one," she hesitated then she asked the owner /manager , who said " she want to return the piece that she already ATE from" her question clearly reflects her prejudice... I said" NO !!!, no one will do so, I just want to replace the second piece which I Haven't ate from , and have the chocolate one instead" she said" No , this is the store's policy." I replied by saying " I do respect the store policy but your demeanor and behavior since the first incident has been so disrespectful and rude, and I'm sure you would have behaved differently if I'm not from the visible minority. Yes, I'm sure 1000% she would have reacted differently in both incidents if the customer is NOT from the visible minority; though she is ,too !!!!!
This is the true version of what had happened on the 31st /08. I have no reason to tell lies because I've been coming to this location since last spring usually in weekends, and I do admit that all waiters and waitresses who ever served me and my family were so courteous, and extremely helpful. I hate causing troubles to people, but she left me without any other choice. RESPECT is the only thing I'm looking for, nothing else. Refund, free cookies or else is not what I'm looking for, NO, NOT at ALL. Thank you!
