I was very disapointed about this place. The pastries looks so delicious but the ones we took were not fresh as it tasted like it was in the fridge for a long time. It gave me a weird aftertaste and I couldn't finish it. It was also pricey for this kind of "quality". I wont go there again.

I saw the wonderful reviews and visited the Bakery. However, the service I received and the quality of the espresso (which was extremely burnt) didn't match what I have read. I guess it wasn't my lucky day. Definitely has pastries that are Instagram worthy super colourful and mouth watering (shown in the photos) . Hopefully it only happened to me and the rest of the customers experience a better service.

I was there today May 12 , 2017, at 6 pm, the serving woman showed up from the rear door, and I saw her taking candies and a cake for a buyer with her hands (!!!) without gloves on, she did not even wash them after touching the handle of the door, taking bank cards from people and giving them their receipts! For the store where a candy of 5 grams is for more than one dollar it's absolutely outrageous .

Delicious bakery with very nice choices from mini to over-the-topped sized pastries. The several I purchased - along with a cup of hot chocolate - were all very delicious. Excellent customer service here, too. Plenty of seating and elbow room (nice). And to note - tied to a previous review of a bakery one block up), this bakery accepts credit cards to purchase goods. Highly recommend this bakery!

We wanted a small dessert and this place was perfect! We took it to go but the space is open and simple to stay. There is a large assortment of cakes and other baked goods. All looked delicious but I chose "The Royal". I love chocolate and praline and this did not disappoint. Very rich with a smooth texture plus the crunch of the base. A must place to stop to enjoy a treat!

I came in for croissants and a baguette and returned the next day for the same items as they were fantastic (which in hindsight was too bad as this little bakery has a lot of different products that all looked delicious, and i should have tried them.). Next time i am in Quebec City, i will definitely return to rectify this. St. Roch is a cool neighbourhood and businesses like this just add to the vibe.

This is a spectacular bakery. The variety of offerings is enormous - from sweet pastry to savory. We spent 3 days in Quebec and started each morning with this bakery's superb offerings. The croissant we tried here were better than anything we found in our European travels and ditto for the hazelnut mousse cake and tart citrón. Our French language skills are unfortunately nonexistent - but the staff all spoke excellent English and were exceedingly friendly and helpful.

I visited this place day before yesterday morning and since I cannot stop thinking about their dark chocolate eclair. It is godly, their pastry cream is so rich and fresh, something best you can have outside of Paris. Please do walk to this place even if you have already eaten lunch at the famous La Boite e Pain. The pastries at this place are unmatchable anywhere in Quebec and they have a good selection of bread and soups too. Also, the staff is friendly to inform you regarding the selection of breads and pastries available.

Our favorite out of 5 places we had visited in Quebec City. And we went there 4 times in 3 days. While we resisted most of the creamy desserts, we did try one of their eclairs and it was wonderful. Out of all the pastries we tried, there were a couple that we didn't like. They use good quality ingredients. The employees were friendly and patient, as my French was rusty. Keep up the good work!

Love this place. Still very good after owner change. From the breakfast pastries to the cakes and the bread. All is good. Didn't try their chocolate yet, but it looks pretty to the eye. They also have sandwiches and small plates for lunch, will need to try that once next time I go. It's very hard to find a parking space on that street. It gets on my nerves sometimes. Selection of pastry is amazing, would say that everyone case needs find smth they like here. The place itself has this 90th style of Eastern Europe. It is a very lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee with some tasty cake.

Visiting Quebec City from Vancouver and went in two days in a row. Both days were great. The baked goods are FANTASTIC and the prices seemed to be the lowest around. $3.75 for a chocolate croissant in the old town and $2.30 for the same size croissant here. Can't say enough about the place. Oh yah, in addition to the fantastic food, as I speak only broken french, the people behind the counter seemed happy to speak english with me. If you want pastry, do yourself a favour and head over here.
