The reason I rate this so highly is because of the OVER THE TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE by a girl named "Sam" which I can only assume must be short for Samantha!!! I had no intention of stopping in at all but because i required wifi and could stand in a warm bakery briefly brought me inside... I have a BUSINESS DIPLOMA & SALES DIPLOMA AS WELL AS A COUPLE YEARS OF UNIVERSITY. I have a small obsession with PSYCHOLOGY. And she naturally has a presence that just makes you smile!!! That and she is just cute as a girl gets!!!

Food was tasty, staff were friendly. What I expected was a "from scratch" bakery, however, this place uses pre-made tart shells and lacks fresh flavour, so I wonder if they use pre-made mixes as well. The bread & rolls were very fresh and homemade from scratch and I'd highly recommend them.

Had to stop in and try this place out. This was the first time stopping here and won't be the last. OMG the beef sub tasted amazing on the fresh bread!! Can't wait to try the fresh begals for breakfast. Loved the aroma of the bakery and all the fresh bread/deserts/cookies available. Highly recommend checking this place out. Last week went to this bakery and it was not that much as I expected bought a blueberry cake and cookies the taste was too bad the egg smell in the cake feels like something ????jus had single spoon of cake really it was horrible and cookies were tasted too salty.Overall it was total waste of money????

I don't think that anything can compare to happy staff. It says a lot about the business that you always get a smiling and chipper face when you drop in here! Excellent spot to pick up a sandwhich, ready made meal, sweets and of course- bread. I was able to order a sourdough here- they were out but happy to make a batch. I was able to pick it up the next day and have been enjoying it since! I love how quickly they can slice your bread thick.or thin as well. I picked up a single piece of carrot cake too- which is nice when you don't want to take a whole tray of it home alone! I know a lot of my keto friends enjoy the weekly options available for them as well.

Have been visiting the Island for 14 years and finally followed the suggestions of many to check out the infamous Buns and Things. Very happy I did. Great treats, super prices, and friendly staff. I highly suggest the 10 grain bagels and the macaroons. Yummy!!

I have only been at Buns & Things twice. The 1st time was New Years Eve and I got a raisin pie. I didn't notice the date on the pie until later that evening when I went to have some. It expires the very next day. I was surprised that they didn't mark it down because they were closed on New Year's Day so I couldn't return it. The crust was super tough and there wasn't a lot of Filling so I was disappointed. I did decide to go back and try again just over a week later and I got another raisin pie. This time the crust was better and there was an ok amount of filling. It was way better than the 1st one. I told the girls about the 1st one but they didn't say anything to me or offer a discount on my purchase which I thought was a bit odd. I also got their spider cookies and they were really good. Both the pie and the cookies had a good expiry date which made me happy because I can't eat all that stuff in one day lol! I was disappointed because I really wanted to try their banana cream pie but both times I was there they didn't have any. Hopefully next time they will. They do have good prices on most of their products so that impressed me. I would recommend this bakery but I would look at the expiry date before buying.
