Always fresh and super tasty! one of the best donut shops in cambridge for sure! Staff and owners are so friendly and always give the best customer serivce. Amazing variety of donuts to choose from and they even have a few other pastries such as dutchies, fritters, croissants, cinnamon sugar twists, and Albits (similar to timbits). They also give the option to pre-order donuts/albits or custom donuts for special occasions.

Yesterday was my first visit to this hidden gem It was a treat just to breathe in the baking smells and the service was extremely pleasant and helpful I purchased 1/2 a dozen doughnuts, all different Hubby had an apple fritter and a blueberry fritter and pronounced them the best fritters he's ever had I had a coconut doughnut and it was beautiful, an insanely flavourful square with coconut icing and a coconut cream filling. I'm diabetic so I could only eat a portion of it so hubby helped me out with the rest even though he doesn't enjoy coconut..he loved it I try not to have a carb treat more than once a day but the lemon doughnut was just sitting there last night so I cut a piece off... As good as the coconut was, this was better. Beautifully iced, perfect crispy exterior, white cream surrounding a sweet tart lemon filling (the other 2 doughnuts were snarfed up by my son and I'm certain they were excellent) I haven't been excited about a doughnut since childhood when the bread truck came around and mom would let me get a longjohn to share with my 2 sisters..that just baked freshness was such a treat and Albert's has captured that perfectly

Great doughnut shop with a unique selection of doughnuts. All the doughnuts we moist and soft even hours later. Favourites were the fruit filled ones such as black forest and key lime flavours. Staff were very friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. They tend to sell out most days so suggest not waiting too close to end of day.

Why waste your taste buds (and calories) on something as boring as Tim Hortons? Enjoy an actual doughnut made by an actual Canadian small business. It was a single pastry on a single visit, but I had the chance to meet Albert. He taught me a few things about what to look for in identifying a well-fried doughnut. He gets there at 3:30 AM each morning to ensure every doughnut is as fresh as can be. Loads of choice split into pastries, traditional doughnuts, and the "candy store" (doughnuts topped with various popular crumbled candies like Skor, M&Ms, etc.) If you're the type to avoid the super-sophisticated/artisanal stuff, don't worry. Everything Albert makes is accessible and understandable. He makes good doughnuts. Enjoy them. Note this is in a strip mall on a roundabout opposite side of the street to Zehrs. You may not see it right away; go around the circle again to see the white sign.

I would put the quality of taste as equal to Beechwood Donuts in St. Catherines, which is saying quite a lot because those donuts are amazing! These are definitely worth trying. We've tried our fair share of donuts in the surrounding areas. Kitchener, Hamilton, Cambridge, Guelph. Hands down, we love Albert's. Albits are a great treat for big gatherings- order ahead. Our favourite walk-in flavours are the apple fritter (it's huge!), the Bavarian chocolate (that puddying-chocolate fill), the Whip (light and fluffy fill), the dulce de leche and the black forest (one of the only places that does both a cherry and whip fill, YES two fills inside this bad boy). Albert's dough is soft, light and the perfect vehicle for all that flavour. With more than 20 flavours each day, there really should be something for everyone.

Ordered a dozen doughnuts today. The sales associate was very friendly. The dough for the doughnuts is light and fluffy - their best feature. The chocolate topping is very rich though. The filling is spot on, not too much or too little. Not recommended for someone on a diet :p

Price is extremely reasonable for what you receive. The gourmet donut space seems crowded right now, but Albert's is our go-to for a damn good donut.

I just moved to Cambridge and I want to support local as much as I can, especially places that others tell me about. I have never done Google reviews before, but want to as part of my new community. There are a lot of great donut shops in the GTA where I moved from and I have tried most of them. Alberts is as good as the best ones there. I prefer quality of the base donut over all kinds of weird flavours and this place has that. But, there are enough choices too. The woman who served me was friendly and I think might have been smiling behind her mask. I ordered a half dozen and they were fresh and tasty. The fritter was the best. Decent price for the quality. This is my new donut place.

Oh my God!, I'm actually without words. I don't know where and what to start saying about Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop. This is how doughnuts should be done. Doughnuts that are prepared freshly homemade with the freshest ingredients and carefully cooked to perfection for the best doughnuts around in Cambridge hands down, and it shows and tastes with each and every bite. These doughnuts just melt in your mouth. Better than your doughnut chain places bar none! I am a strong supporter of these kinds of mom and pop type small businesses that needs and deserves our support and attention. Tim Horton's, Country Style, Coffee Culture, Starbucks, etc, basically any doughnut chain store doesn't even come close to Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop. The doughnuts at Albert's are huge too!, Making Tim Horton's doughnuts look like the size donut for an infant. And Tim Horton's Tim Bits are small enough for a mouse to eat. Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop style Tim Bits(Al Bits)almost look the size of a Tim Horton's donut! I'm serious! One donut from Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop is more than enough for me. They are that huge. And the taste and quality are 10/10, 5 star rating! The service is phenomenal, the people that work there are friendly and amazing. They treat you with the utmost respect. I'm greeted every time I walk through the door. The people that work at Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop really treat you like family. They really care about their quality and service to the public, and they really care about their clientele. Please give Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop the chance! You won't regret it and you have my full recommendation. Once you go there, you'll forget that chain places like Tim Horton's, Country Style, Starbucks, Coffee Culture, etc, ever existed! Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop puts their chained competitors to shame! Oh and by the way, all of Albert's Doughnuts are phenomenal. You can't go wrong with which ever one you choose. Also, their is also croissants too and Danishes. Go look and try for yourself and find out just why Albert's Doughnuts Bake Shop is such a donut paradox! Yummy! Oh also, I almost forgot. Please try to be there early in the morning when they open because everything is made fresh in the morning and they make alot product but they do sell out quickly. There is usually lineups to get in and buy their donuts and other products. Enjoy!

I am reluctant to share this rating and promote this shop because it is a gem. Fresh donuts in a variety of flavours for a reasonable price. The coconut cream filled and vanilla whipped filled are unreal. The Nutella donut might be one of the best donuts I have ever had. The crossiants, danishes, and muffins are also excellent. I wouldn't mind if they were open earlier in the day. Regardless, service is nice and friendly. Simple store layout and they have a card machine. Plenty of parking.

Great donuts but always sold out. Walked out of the bakery empty handed 5 times in the last 2 weeks because they are always sold out. No longer wasting my time driving there. Portuguese bakery it is from now on. They lost a loyal customer. Long weekends, forget about it. They can't keep up with demand.

I have purchased donuts from this store on multiple occasions and it has never disappointed. The quality and quantity is incredible, and so much variety available for picky choosers like me who are indecisive. I am super lucky it’s so close to home so a good, fresh, delicious donut is right around the corner. I know I will be visiting again and again, trying to get a taste of all I possibly can!! I’d post pictures but the donuts have never lasted long enough to take a picture of. Maybe one day I’ll get a picture before walking out of the store.

Doughnut cake was a great success! The doughnut's were fresh and delicious not one went to waste! I spent a fraction of the cost of a regular wedding cake and the guests loved it! Ordering was simple and the owners were friendly and accommodating.

Albert's Doughnuts are hands-down the best doughnuts in the KW region and possibly all of Ontario. As doughnut aficionado who has lived in Toronto, the GTA and now KW, there are few doughnuts that compare to the quality that Albert's consistently puts out.
