If you're looking for some of the best european pastries you've had, flaky, airy, buttery goodness, then do yourself a favour and stop here and buy yourself a croissant (or any of the other available pastry/danish options). Yann Patisserie is based in a small quaint house, and makes for a great visit. The macaron bar is outstanding, with a mind boggling array of flavours! I personally can't wait until they open the house next door and offer gelatos!

Amazing macarons, Pistachio and Hazelnut are just to die for!!! Caranougat and Regal small cakes, decadent little cakes, the pistachio one is just so good; perfect balance of sweetness! Also Best Almond croissant and salmon cheese croissant in the city! Note the orange cake doesnt taste so good tho it has banana jelly and exoctic fruit mousse ???? UPdate: they discontinued the pistachio and regal cakes, they were the best, really disappointing. Got some macarons yesterday but the shell was too hard and cracking, never had that with them before.. they werent fresh as every time.. also got the almond croissants, they were too sweet and almost burnt like the dough was brown, they used to be so good and fresh So i dont know whats happening but quality has gone down a bit

Many Patisseries are all show, with little flavor in their products. Yann Haute is NOT one of them. The Macarons are delicious with great new flavors to try all the time. His donuts?? Could possibly start a new religion. Every item I have tried here is absolutely amazing. Fresh ingredients and the highest of quality in all of them. The bread baked daily is also a must try. The prices are fair for the quality and work involved with bringing such mouth watering delights! If you think the prices are too high, perhaps Safeway would be a better option for you ;)

Love their small cakes! They are very pretty and uniquely designed. We got the lemon, tiramisu, and hazelnut one. The lemon was a bit too sour but I really liked the tiramisu one. Each small cake is about $7.25. We also got a box of macarons and they were pretty good too. This place is perfect if you don't want the typical cake.

Of the many restaurants and pastry shops along 4th street SW, nothing compares to Yann Haute! My favorites are the croissants, sourdough bread, and tiramisu! They also sell frozen croissant 6 packs that you can bake at home...which are freaking amazing! The staff is friendly, personable, approachable. They make me feel welcome and I always appreciate the laughs! I don't speak French but just visiting this place inspires me to pick it up and steal the recipes! ????

A dose of Paris while in Calgary! We were visiting the city for a week and ended up going here twice. Tried to Regale dessert twice, along with the Peanut Butter Cake and the Coffee Tart. These names don't do them justice enough. Complex layering of exquisite flavours - they took great care into creating these masterpieces. Very pleasant ladies working at the shop too.

My favorite macaron place in Calgary ! They have amazing flavours and anything salted caramel here is to die for. The cakes are all adorable too. Great place to go for a bit of a splurge/treat. Update: this place is normally amazing, but the last couple times the macarons I got have been hard and hollow - maybe the process for making them has changed? A little disappointed. They do still taste great, but the texture is disappointing.

Arrived here on the search for the perfect baguette, and I found it; rustically formed, and perfectly french. I couldn't resist a few petite gateau- the Paris Calgary was a fair bit too sweet for my taste, even at half the portion, however I tolerated it far better then anything else I have tried from elseware. I was surprisingly taken by the macaroons; the flavours are rich and intoxicatingly lovely; and the size just right for afternoon tea. In addition, the ladies who are behind the counter very kind, and pleasant to talk to. A hidden gem of a place, paris in the heart of a lonely city- Merci Beaucoup!

I bought 24 macarons and they were all very delicious! I haven’t been back here for a few years, so when I thought of it the other day, I knew I had to come and visit. There was a red bean and a mango macaron that was very beautiful and yummy! I believe they were a CNY special. I will say the shaped of the vanilla macarons, were a little small, and not very nicely shaped. The rest were fine! Very yummy and satisfying to bite into. The price is good for what you get. All I wish was more flavours!

Exquisite French patisserie offering unrealistic looking desserts. Everything here is literally eye-candy. Best part is when staff explain the desserts in a charming French accent. Truly feels like a small piece of Paris. Items are little on the pricier side but worth the penny if you're really craving for sweets. Macarons here are so beautiful and the quality is one of a kind. The small yellow house in the corner of Mission is a must visit spot.

Some special baking (vday, xmas) has a limited quantity and when it's gone it's gone! I think they have nut free option too. They are a bit pricey but worth it. Everything here is quite delicious, and the quality is very consistent. It's friendly shop with a variety of carefully prepared bakery items including croissants, small cakes, and macarons. I'm typically met with nice service, and satisfying sweets every visit. There can be a considerable wait, at times. I do have a major issue with the packaging. None of it is transportation friendly. They offer bags to purchase but most of the boxes don't fit inside the bags... I recently ordered three smaller items: one was in a large box (?), and the other two were in individual, cheap parchment bags. I got home to a blueberry puddle. I'm not sure why they're packaging high-end, pricey croissants in filmy, cheap parchment bags?

This was my first time visiting the bakery in person although I have been gifted many treats from here before by friends! Everytime I have something they have been very tasty. Their croissants are delicious and comparable to the ones I've had in Paris. The staff is very friendly and on my last visit I was gifted a apple macaron since it was broken ( this seriously made my day ) I must say my favourite of the day was the black forest macaron it's so small but there is so much flavor! I am disappointed it's seasonal, I'll be sad when it's gone. My other favourite was the almond and chocolate croissant. I've had it many times and never get tired of it. Over all I love the store and 100% recommend. There is free parking in the back. Definitely go early because it gets busy and they run out fast! :)

But when I visited here a few days ago, I was disappointed. There were some flies flying around the bread and macaroons, and the staff turned a blind eye to it.

We come here for the single potion desserts. The are beautiful, creative, and so so tasty. They cost about $7-8 and I think well worth it. Yann Haute and next door Berlingo are owned by the same person, so the wheelchair ramp and outdoor seating area are shared. It's a fun little space for kids with flat stumps to hop between and cool, colorful chairs.

OMG....desserts to die for! We ordered a variety of macaroons and the zebra croissant and the family gobbled it up like it was going out of fashion. The desserts throughout the shop looked amazing and we will definitely be going back for more in the near future. There was also a fridge filled with pre made pastries that you bake at home as well. Very helpful and attentive staff!

I tried different things here and liked them all. Macaron is not just my type of treat but the other ones are more appealing due to the variety in taste. Items are very expensive but it's OK to get a few every few months. It's not a daily meal! The owner could use a little note or sign to prevent customers going upstairs(!) because when you get in, you see two doors and you have a 50/50 chance to get to the business instead of going to someone's living room!

Unique gem of a bakery on 4th and tucked away on a side street. Upon entering, the sweet baked goods aroma fills your nostrils. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The uniqueness to their pastries from cakes to croissants captures your immediate attention. Its a small shop with lots to offer. Bought the lemon tart cake and it is not overly sweet and definitely has that insert squinty face tart sour to it - absolutely lovely for those who enjoy that type of cake. Many other options to choose as well to meet different taste buds. Price is reflective of the quality of food there is here.

Generally I am not a huge fan of macaroons, but here it is different. The variety of flavours, the quality of the pastry itself is actually quite good. It is alwayd nice to be met with that fresh bakery smell when you enter. It is heavenly. This past Sunday we had the pleasure of drinking their hot chocolate! It was very rich and had a truly chocolatey flavour. I had not had a hot chocolate like that before. I am not sure if they have it everyday, but if they do it makes for a wonderful treat on a cold, snowy day. What a great local treasure here in Calgary!

This place use to be great a couple years ago but I have noticed a decline in quality over time. The pictured dessert is not what I expect when paying premium for a 'patisserie' item. Uneven glaze that didn't even cover the whole dessert. The pistachios used for garnish where burnt and completely bitter. I really do hope the standard increases, because they used to be pretty great

Yann is an excellent, authentic French patisserie. Excellent croissants (would highly recommend the pain au chocolat), desserts (would highly recommend their take on tarte au citron), and of course baguettes. I have been going here for years whenever I am in town and love it.

We stopped next door at Berlingo with our kids after walking past the brightly coloured houses. We enjoyed our gelato so much we headed next door to see more of the toppings and items! The shop smelled like the best lemon curd I've ever smelled before. We tried a few small treats as we were walking and it was a bit warm to transport some of the beautiful desserts but we will certainly be returning for the warm service and delicious treats.

I was so excited to visit Yann Haute Patisserie today as I used to come here all the time and raved how much I loved their macarons. I came in today to pick up some macarons, but ended up getting ridiculed by a staff. I was asking questions about the cake, and she laughed and acted irritated that I had to say to her “am I asking too many questions?” The staff made me feel embarrassed and unwelcome. When I got to my car I also noticed some of the macarons were cracked. To says the least I was upset and most likely will not be returning back.

OMG this place is a hidden gem in YYC! We accidently came across it while strolling around the beltline, and this is now our go-to pastry spot!We tried the Tiramisu, a dark chocolate pastry, almond croissants and the Easter special bun - everything was super delicious! The pastries had just the right amount of sweetness, with a creamy luxurious texture. The almond croissants were out of this world - super fresh, right amount of crisp and sweetness! Can't recommend this place enough, and eager to try out the rest of their menu!

I live a street over from this bakery and occasionally see the odd squirrel in my backyard with a macaron in its mouth which I find hilarious. I finally went to YHP on the day of New Years Eve. I was surprised how busy it was but the staff were doing a great job making sure everyone was taken care of. I was looking for a cake for my friend's birthday since I didn't have time to bake one. They had a raspberry cheesecake but of course it said "2020" on it. The staff behind the counter right away offered to have the baker change it to Happy Birthday, I was so shocked as they were already so busy that I was so thankful they were able to go that extra mile. Within minutes they changed the cake. I will definitely be coming back to try their other goodies based on this amazing experience I had. I like this bakery a lot but I’m upset about my experience today. The chef changed the design of this cake but the website wasn’t updated so I ended up with a cake I don’t like the look of and isnt made well. The white edge is poorly executed and busted up at the back. It’s a significantly nicer cake on the website. I’m unhappy with the piping on the happy birthday plaque because it’s sloppy and I had to take it off. I called to see if I could exchange for a different cake but they said no. They suggested I remove the white chocolate edge but I didn’t pay $40+ to correct their poor craftsmanship. They offered me macaron or Viennoiserie if I go back.

What can I say? Thank you so much Yann Haute Patisserie for making a family birthday so special. We had ordered the royal cake, the lemon and tiramisu petit gateaux, and the gingerbread viennoiseries. Everything was packaged so beautifully and tasted amazing! You can really tell how much time and effort goes into making these pastries and cakes look and taste so good. Each bite was filled with fresh flavour, hands down the best desserts I have ever had. The royal cake was delicious, not too sweet, and the almond cake underneath was delightfully crisp.The gingerbread viennoiseries were absolutely amazing, the chocolate ganache inside was perfectly spiced, and combined with the crisp croissant to make a delectable treat (please make this a permanent addition to your menu! I'll take your whole stock :D). The lemon and the tiramisu petit gateaux were both excellent, the lemon was perfectly sweet and bursting with fresh lemon flavour, and the tiramisu was so creamy with the perfect amount of coffee flavour. Do yourself a favour and please go visit them, you will not be disappointed! Thank you YHP, you have a customer for life!

Ordered a tiramisu cake for my husband's birthday, he picked it up while in the area and the woman indicates the type of cake as she handed it to him. He did not check the box as to leave it as a surprise, it ends up being an incredibly tart lemon cake. Fully disappointed to have spent 42$ on cake that none of us wanted nor liked, and to top it off the bakery did not bother to reply back about their error. I don't doubt their products are delicious, but their quality control and customer service is lacking.

They care about our environment and encourage customers to use a re-usable bag when visiting the shop. They also limit use of plastic in their packaging as much as possible and definitely deserve a props for that!

Overpriced and Lacked quality taste. 3 dollars for one chocolate smaller than a bottle cap is outrageous at least make it not cheaply. A Lindor, which is massed produced and not handcrafted is worth 3 dollars before this is, I will say that I was excited to try this place but didn't know that the place would be so crammed, you would think to be the only one there that I wouldn't feel like such a giant man, It was way to small for such a business, although the staff where extremely well behaved and knowledgeable, quite impressive. Their lemon dessert was relatively tame in any flavor and needs improvement if it is to bare any relation to the excellent cuisine they are trying to represent.

Was looking forward to trying this place for a long time and was very excited to come by today, the front of house girl was very kind and helpful. However the desserts all looked beautiful but the macarons were raw on the inside. As well as the lemon tart was delicious but was so old it had developed a skin and was soggy unfortunately, I'm sure it would have been delicious had it been fresher. Sadly I was disappointed with everything I ended up getting, maybe it was an off day for them.

I enjoyed my first few overpriced macarons here, but these are quite sweet and lose their excitement after the first few times you eat them. What I am really after is excellent bread and pastries. While Yann has good pastries, you will pay very dearly for them. One pastry is $7! They don't even post the prices so you can make an informed decision. The worst part about this place is the rude rude service. I was grunted at and ignored trying to ask questions. Then I asked about the unethical selling of fois gras despite the abuse of geese in the process of making it, and was greeted with an eye roll and yet another grunt. I recommend Sidewalk Citizen in Kensington- excellent pastries, 100% grunt free.

I’m not a cake guy but decided to order one up for wife’s 40th. Nice selection on their menu. Plenty of nut free options. They delivered the cake and it was spectacular. Excellent flavours and attention to detail. Not too sweet and the combinations were amazing. Definitely one of the top bake shops in town.

I would like to write more than 5 stars so this pastry impresses me. Absolutely perfect place. Kind staff and everything is so delicious. The macaroons are so good and they are a delight for the mouth. If you are looking for the best almond croissants, I recommend this place. They are awesome that the only other place where we can find an equivalence is in France.

Got the croissants and other chocolate pastries and they were excellent along with service! I also ordered the large holiday log cake with raspberry filling and it was a a treat which served 6 people and was a great new experience.

Possibly the best place to get french macarons and provencal cannales! A gem of a location and a great place to pick up beautiful dessert gifts, whether that be macarons in cute little wooden boxes or cakes that have been artfully assembled!

I ordered two gf cakes and they’re both delicious especially the Destination. The guests were all asking where I ordered them. Customer service on the phone was excellent! The delivery service (KiwiMe), on the other hand was disappointing. The delivery person didn’t knock or ring the doorbell and left the cakes infront of my front door in the scorching 36C temperature heat! Had I not opened the front door to check on something, I wouldn’t have known it was there. They sent me a text message that it has been delivered but I didn’t get a chance to read it until 5 minutes later as I was very busy preparing for the event at home. The cakes had been sitting out in the heat for five minutes. I wish they would have rang the doorbell especially when the products they’re delivering need to be refrigerated.
