What a great little bakery! Stopped in after my booster appointment at the pharmacy in the same building and couldn't resist getting a bunch of treats for myself and my family. Absolutely delicious! And the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!

Greatest pasteries in the city, the Napoleon is what you must try. Tried a few other ones which were also phenomenal. Everything was exceptional but maybe some seats and coffee would complete the experience.

After their fabulous Persian products at Tabestoon Fest we thought we would just go and buy some of the delicious Persian pastry. But it turns out they only make them on special order. So we just got a pack of four Cinnamon rolls which turned out to be completely stale; at least two days old I would say. Two stars because the owner was very nice and gave us a discount.

I LOVE the Napoleons here. I always buy them whenever I have guests and everyone single person has liked the dessert because it’s light, creamy and delicious but also not too sweet.

Went just after opening to get some fresh bread, we bought a whole wheat loaf and some French bread. (Similar in shape to a baguette but not the same ingredients) We also bought a Napoleon pastry, which was quite good. Overall we were very satisfied with the breads and we will definitely return again. They also do some special order items so be sure to contact them for more info.

Best chocolate dip doughnut in Calgary. I moved here from Edmonton and missed the Italian Bakery's dipped doughnut (likely best in the world!). So I searched throughout the Calgary for another. Not even the Italian bakery in Calgary has doughnuts for sale daily. And Tim Hortons tastes awful. SWEET HOME BAKERY has them and many other delicious things. They are as good as the ones I missed. Only thing that bums me out is I've gone there in the past and they're sold out. Bummer because I traveled from the far SE to get them.

I picked up pastries and a Christmas Log for the big day and was not disappointed, well besides the fact that I forgot my sticky buns on the counter but that's another story and my fault. Absolutely delicious and devoured, all of it, the fluffy pastries went first and were the hit of the party until I brought out the Xmas Log for desert, which was to die for. Thank you so much for being the icing on Christmas day! Wonderful!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a bakery in my home area that can compete with the other popular bakeries around town. This small shop has a huge selection of fresh pastries, breads, and desserts. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in the area and have a sweet tooth!

I was in for the first time today and the man behind the counter was very friendly and appreciative of my larger order. I was definitely not disappointed. The baked goods were very fresh and extraordinary. I can't wait to go back, whenever I have a sweet tooth they can take my money. Highly recommend, this is one of Calgary's hidden gems, well worth the drive regardless of where you live in the city. He also threw in extra's, which was not expected at all. The prices were also fantastic, high end pastries at grocery store prices.

Visit here was a mixed bag. There was not much selection for sweets and the gal working seemed to very inconvenienced by my purchase... BUT the prices were reasonable and the selection I purchased tasted amazing. This place has been in Bowness for ages. I haven’t been in a long time, but overall I was glad to return. UPDATE: visited this location several times since. Had a chance to speak to the owner who rectified the poor service. Service has been great since then. Upped to 5 stars

I love this place! It has turned into my go to for bread as it is very good and really well priced. Other favourites that I have tried so far are the cream puffs and sausage rolls. I can't wait to try more of their baking! Also the staff here are so friendly and inviting!

The owner is an excellent person and the products are A+. The owner gave us a very warm welcome in our first visit and gave few items to our 2 year-old son for free. At one instance, we ordered a birthday cake and when I was about to pick it up, it seemed he added walnuts which was not requested initially. After a long sincere apology, he gave us the cake (with additional two small cakes without walnut for our gust with allergy to walnut) at a discount. Overall, highly recommend this place.

I am from Edmonton and enjoy stopping in here before getting onto highway 1 for the mountains. Love their cream filled eclairs especially, and their other pastries. I like how the store seems down to earth and not super fancy, but has quality products with good ingredients and reasonable prices!!

Wonderful local bakery! Friendly staff, lots of delectable made in house treats to choose from. The Eclairs are made with real cream and the apple strudel is flaky. I've never been disappointed. The only con I can come up with is they aren't open on Sundays.....Of course everyone deserves a day off so that doesn't really count! Also if you're looking for Saffron they often have little jars and extra local goodies in the small 1/2 fridge off to the side. Stop in, you'll be happy you did!

Excellent bakery. Another one of the Bownesian staples. Has been here for more than 50 years and is still serving up sweet treats. The staff are friendly helpful and ready to serve up The goodies. From bread, cookies and Nanimo bars the have a vast selection. How ever they do not offer any cakes. I'm not sure why but no cake. They used to have a German chocolate cake that I would sell my frrst born for. But alass I have no children and they have no G.C.C. lol.
