The pastries are amazing
Great
Amazing. We tried the caramel tart and pistachio eclair. Both were excellent!
La Boulangerie is pretty good for someone who likes and appreciates French baking, but it does get pricey. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
Best cup of black coffee on 4th Street... and the bakery can't be beat.
I work down the street but had never been until one day my boss bought me crepes for lunch. Seriously seriously delicious. Have had so many treats since then and they never disappoint!
Pretty good bakery in Calgary!
The best baked goods in Calgary, for sure - the croissants and pastries are amazing. Coffee and the baguettes are great, too! Never had breakfast here, but it looks delicious. The staff are friendly and like a chat.
I love it here ❤️❤️ my favourite cafe in Calgary.
Amazing. Everything is very high quality. Impeccable service.
This place is so great. Really good lattes and mochas, lots of selection of the best quality pastries in town. Totally reasonably priced, perfect location... honestly you can't ask for more when you're looking for a fancy pastry shop! :)
To die for Crepes, crusaunts, (chocolate pistachio ????) omelets, Calgarys Best Brownies etc. Etc. Delicious
They have excellent croissants, makes me want to try their Kouign-amann
I’ve been coming to La Boulangerie for years and can honestly say the owners here have created a true community gathering place for all ages. Their lentil soup is a personal favourite as is the tuna baguette. Love love love them both! If you’re looking for a true neighbourhood gem in Mission, this one is a must-try.
Great bread!!
I had a ham and cheese baguette today. The ham was excellent and well paired with Jarlsburg cheese, and topped off with arugula. It was filling and delicious.
Liked the atmosphere and food was good, but Overpriced..
Super cute French style Cafe. Best crepes I've ever had in Calgary. Had the mushroom tomato spinach and cheese crepe. It was excellent! An easy place to come if you're with a group of people who all have different levels of hunger. Great patio out front, could easily sit out front for hours.
This place feels like a café you’d find on the streets of Paris! Quaint and cozy, and the staff were very kind. The strawberry tart I ordered was out of this world, just insanely FRESH and authentic. I will absolutely be back!
My Parisian husband and I love this little place. Yes it can be a bit pricey, but for us its a treat, not an everyday affair. The pastries are divine and my daughter can't get enough of the crepes.
The best Croissant!! I love the pastries here, so delicious yet not too sweet. The place is a bit small inside, kinda crowded. Nice staff
Delicious pastries and coffee - we had the profiteroles, pain au chocolate, chocolate tart, and pistachio eclair. Everything was perfection. Delightful atmosphere and super friendly non-pushy service. This is a great bakery to visit!
Amazing service. Amazing Coffee. La Boulangerie is a must see cafe.
Bostock was super yummy. Very good Misto. Breakfast crepe pretty good
This place is amazing and the owners are so sweet. Try the kouign-amann! It's the best I've had in Calgary, maybe in my entire life. It's perfectly flakey with beautifully crystalized sugar on the bottom.
Honestly... just go. Don't think about it, just go. You will not be disappointed. Service is AWESOME, food is delicious, the creme brule? I have never had anything soooo scrumdiddlyumtious ???????? Seriously, just go.
My fiance and I went in recently for breakfast. We were immediately impressed by the same of the cafe and wanted to order one of everything off the menu. While placing our order, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times because the cashier couldn't hear us due to the extremely loud music and people talking over each other. Our order was brought to our table and missing an item. Since it was quite busy, we assumed that they were still making the missing item and that it would be brought to us later - we were wrong. It took my fiance going in and mentioning it to someone for the missing item to finally be brought to us, which was very disappointing. The crepe was undercooked and smothered in Nutella, making half of the crepe inedible, due to it being soggy. As we were getting ready to leave, there was an interaction with an older gentleman and a staff member. The gentleman, who had a very common name, took the wrong drink order, and after apologizing multiple times to the staff member, she stormed off and went back inside where you could see her flailing her arms in the air - obviously irritated by this interaction. Now, while I understand having to remake something because someone took the wrong order is a nuisance, there's absolutely no reason to throw a temper tantrum where your customers can see you. Definitely won't be returning back here and would not recommend. **EDITED TO ADD: just stalked their social media to discover that the rude staff member is in fact the owner, explains why she gets away with the things she does and says.
My smoked salmon croissant sandwich was delicious. The black medium roast illy coffee made the meal perfect. Ive been here a few times over the years but this time, the service was much better, friendlier and faster. Hopefully this is the new standard. The cafe decor has always been bright & open with wonderful large windows. The smell of fresh baking is always comforting like a warm hug. These were the reasons I would come back and hope for better service. I'm glad to see the improvements I'll try to come by more often now.
Great cute location with delicious food - however- if you have allergies be very careful. I ordered a tuna baguette and let them know I had a dairy allergy and made it clear to not out the cheese on or any dairy. Took a few bites and noticed the sandwich had a ton of butter on it. Delicious taste but made me so sick as I have a pretty bad allergy. Unfortunately will not go again as I can’t trust them to follow allergy restrictions.
Adorable and affordable. I love the atmosphere when eating here as much as I enjoy bringing my friends their baked goods
This place is sooo delicious, the prosciutto baguette sandwich is amazing! Love that they use fresh ingredients like basil & arugula. Absolutely recommend!
The crepes are seriously so good. Male sure you have time because it takes forever but worth the wait.
Best coffee in YYC hands down. This bakery is really out of this world! We enjoy coming here a lot and feel at home. Thank you so much!
True French taste.
The espresso was very very good and the service is excellent. Recommended place!
absolutely love all the croissant here. If i really want to rate it, it'd be #1 Almond, and #2 Ham and Cheese.
This place has amazing pastries, an everlasting reason to break the diet :-) the staff is super friendly and makes you feel like a member of the family. The apricot marzipan and the chocolate pistachio pastries are a must-try! Highly recommended.
Best pastries
You need to try the hazelnut eclair. Absolutely worth it. Excellent place.
awful Smoked salmon croissant- croissant was super dry and cold
Lovely neighborhood spot with the best fresh pastries and breads in all of Calgary.
As usual, very nice staff, amazing food and beverages
Terrific bakery. Try the onion soup!

Great french bakery with all day breakfast and decadent tarts!
amazing stuff great food
Lovely place on 4th. 20min free parking available, after that it’s paid parking. Huge selection of French pastries, and they serve Illy coffee. Friendly staff and feel very welcome here. They so Skip the Dishes as well :)
my happy place. the pastries are amazing and consistent such a great place to hang out - have a coffee with a friend or soon to be foe - regardless, this place is spectacular - makes me remember of days in EU. the vibe and the people are so friendly - this is a must visit when in Calgary.
Best French / European bakery in the city! Also friendly staffs. Love it!
A great bakery with excellent outdoor seat and places to lock up your bicycle. I had a very good cappacinno and croissants there! I definitely want to go back!
Excellent coffee and tarts.
The choco part isn't too bad. Strawberry was a tad bit too sour tho.
Very tasty food, a little pricy, but worth it. Nice patio.

Amazing crêpes, they also have the prettiest and most delicious pastries. Their chai latte is the best in the city, so rich and creamy. Fantastic and friendly service. A little piece of France in Calgary.
Ordered Smoked Salmon Croissant sandwich. For $11, one would expect a little more than the thinnest single slice of salmon. Croissant was dry unfortunately. We were there couple of hours before close, but still, for a in-house bakery to serve up dry bread, is not a good sign. Ordered a desert, fresh OJ and Latte. All were rather average. Unfortunately, for the experience, would not return. Really wanted to like and support local business in these times, but quality of food matters, especially at the prices at this establishment.
Been coming here for years always great.
The baked goods are amazing and the coffee is excellent. The Caprese crepe was a beautiful combination of basil, tomato and boccanini cheese. Nothing I have had here disappoints. And a great sidewalk patio to while away your morning with a fantastic coffee
Best breakfast, bread, pastry, croisons, and coffe in Calgary and in Alberta And guaranty if you like good coffee it's the best coffee in town!!!and if you don't believe me it's ok try yourself????????❤️
My family and I have been coming here for years. Excellent food, personalized service. Thanks, Shosh. You've made our lives better.
Shoulda just gone to Tim Ho
My favourite cafe ❤️
The food was good, coffee was average. Seems a bit pricy for what I got. Drip coffee and breakfast crape $15 with tip
Down-to-earth bread shop. Lots of mouth-watering options. - baguette was great, couldn't stop once I started - blueberry tarts are filled with oozing jam - croissants are pretty good - scones are good as well - quality and cultural experience
My Saturday morning visit was a highlight of a recent trip to Calgary. Delightful, delicious and worth standing in line for.
Great selection of baked goods and the crepes were awesome
Nothing short of wonderful! Calgary needed this! Coffee, croissants and raspberry tart...so yum! We sat outside and enjoyed a glorious late summer afternoon. Completely enjoyable and great service too!
Everything here is delicious! It's very good, so it's quite busy.I love to stop in for a quick bite to go on the weekends.
Everything here is delicious! It's very good, so it's quite busy.I love to stop in for a quick bite to go on the weekends.
The real deal. Consistent and authentic baked goods - probably the best in Calgary.
Service was very poor and sandwich felt like a rip off... Table service only available in Hebrew. As it was my first time there, I sat on the patio waiting for a long time for the "server" to come back after she rang in the order she just took on the patio. Only to find out they only do bar service. There was little understanding for my confusion after mentioning it. I ordered a Salmon sandwich, which was not worth my 11 bucks. 2 thin slices of salmon, slice of cucumber and some lettuce on a tiny piece of baguette. Very sad. Most underwhelming experience I've had in a long time.
Best croissants in calgary.
A little touch of Europe in Calgary.
Ok
By far the best bakery in town! We come here every week and love it! Great service and great food!
Such a wide selection of croissants and the best crème brulee I've ever had. Very clean and the Staff is nice and friendly!
the sausage rolls!
They brew illy coffee. It’s not the best, but the taste is good. The Croissant texture was really nice, so crunchy though.
I had the "Staff's Pick" New York Cheese Cake. The cream was sublime, the crust: a little hard. I really liked it though. I rated it 4 stars because it is on the expensive side. Well, I guess you pay what you get ????
One of the highlights of moving to the neighborhood as been this Cafe. I am now obsessed with the kouign amann.
One of the original greats on this street, great coffee, great treats all around. Customer service is 5 star. Been coming here for years and they have never disappointed me other than my waist size!! Trust me if your into the euro cafe style this is the one!
I haven't had any lunch-type food here so I can't comment on that. However, their bakery goods are quite tasty. The brownie is my favorite item here. Haven't been in a while but will definitely return and try out some other goodies.
Had another tasty meal there - the Mushroom soup and hot Ham and Cheese pie, a satisfying home inspired meal! Thank you so much. Very sorry though we have to go back to plastic.
One of my favorite place for French bakery cravings along with their espresso using Illy coffee. I ate my baked goods too fast before I realized that I forgot to take pictures. I recommend the macaroons, lemon & chocolate tarts. I have tried their salmon sandwich and savory crepe (hard boiled egg and ham) and a French onion soup and all of them were delicious. The croissant was firm on the outside and soft on the inside, the crepe was generous in portion sizes and the French onion soup was great and doesn't taste like instant mix packets. I would come back for more crepe and pastry fix. Perhaps my only concern for this place as some people will notice is the price for some menu items are on the more pricey side.
Always amazing quality whatever you order. I recommend the smoked salmon crepe, a mocha or coffee, and a pastry for dessert!
Best cappuccino in Calgary!
Lovely coffee, hearty crepes, and fantastic pastries in a cozy cafe environment. You need to try the kouign amann.
Quality ingredients and passionate staff with local ownership—the perfect spot for a croissant and coffee.
Excellent, costumer service. Delicious food.Always fresh.love this place.
kouign amann is my favourite treat, this is the best place in calgary to get it
Amazing food, great atmosphere, popular with locals, and the owners are very friendly and always there to say hi.
Fave bakery in all the land.
Love the almond croissants and fruit crepes here. Croissants are crispy on the outside and generous with filling. Service is friendly and quick. Atmosphere feels like cafes in Europe. Nice outdoor patio on 4th street for people watching. Parking is available but only limited spots are free. Like that the kitchen is all glass.
Local, independent bakery & cafe. Always great lattes, crepes, sandwiches, soups, pastries & baking, all with a grest syaff who always remember the regulars. One of my go-to places in the neighbourhood!
Absolutely terrible food. Service is a chaotic mess. The baked goods were not impressive. So disappointed spent 33 dollars on lunch and it was so disgusting. The bread was so stale it was impossible to eat. The brownie was awful. I threw this lunch in the garbage. Never again.
Horribly rude owner.
Outstanding!
Very Rude
(Translated) The dessert is so delicious!! I recommend the strawberry tart! (Original) 디저트 너무 맛있어요!!딸기타르트 추천합니다!
Very welcoming and kind ????
The best coffee, croissants, and service! Adding to this post -- must try the French Onion Soup :)
Staff is on the annoying/trendy/arrogant side but the food is top notch
Great desserts
A cute bakery with fresh pastries. Make sure to take a look at the left side wall - you can help others to enjoy this beautiful bakery as well. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very clean cafe with a spacious patio to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. The patio is pet friendly and there is water for your furry friends! P.s: their pistachio eclair was a showstopper and a must try!
Great variety, great lattes, try the mushroom crepe
I love this pastry. The Almond croissant was my favourite, but this brings it to a whole new level.
I'm only here for the baked goods.
This place is amazing; most excellent place to pick up a tart or assortment of mini tarts made fresh and authentically. Forget the store bought pumpkin pie, full of chemicals and preservatives; come invited to the next dinner event with a box of the desserts assorted here; you and your hosts (or guests) will be well-pleased. For every day fare, stop in for a dark and bold americano and a kouign-amann (spelling?) Sweet caramel crusted puffpastry roll made the classic French way. This place is a gem in Calgary. Other breakfast options include egg-dishes and crepes! Highly recommend.
Pick up only now but still great bakery goods and service.
Not bad. The food was pretty good. The cleanliness of the establishment was terrible though.
Great customer service! Love the lady by name "shosh" she is very welcoming, the food is amazing as well❤
Best Black coffee in Mission and maybe even Calgary. The owner is very friendly. Vibe is top notch for reading and people looking.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to anything from here. Authentic Parisienne pastries that satisfy!
This place is amazing. The crapes here are delicious. I rated it 4 stars because the food takes to long to get delivered.
Omg. So good.
Great coffee and baked goods. It gets packed on weekend morning. The patio is my favourite place to have a coffee with my dog.
High quality omelet for breakfast made by fresh vegetable. Also coffee was great.
6.50 for a small glass of orange juice...sure it's fresh squeezed from gold plated oranges...first and last time at this place.
Wonderful bakery with great food and desserts. Fantastic service.
Amazing French crepes!
This place is so Boujee
Small little cafe with amazing deserts, coffie, and crepes. Honestly you'll fall in love with this place
We went for breakfast. The customers their acting like the first time have seen MUSLIMS. people talking and watching us. However, the customer service was amazing. Unfortunately, dog friendly area and I'm allergic, but they dog's owner didn't like to change his place.
Great spot for indulging in delicious pastries and coffee, the owner is awesome!
Fantastic food and coffee.
Amazing pastrys
Where to start?! First off, the owner is such a lovely and friendly individual. Always polite and helpful, offering samples. A huge fan of their pastries, personal favorite is the Almond Bostock. Anytime I have out of town visitors, I always take them to La Boulangerie and the bakery never disappoints. Thanks for making everything with care and passion!
Pastries a little expensive and not a lot of variety but delicious!
THE BEST. I've been eating here for years. Currently just ate an omlete on croissant, cheesecake and cappuccino and I'm loving life. One of the only places in Calgary that's as good or better than those fantastic little bakeries you find while in Europe.
This place is incredibly popular. That's probably why it's so popular. The coffee is terrible and the baking is passable.
This was my first time here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was looking for some gluten free options, the selection wasn't that large but they suggested if I called ahead I could get their pound cake in a larger format. The small tarts were all really good and the La Crele was a nice small treat that's something one should try. The raspberry tart was also really good. A lot of options to try still, will have to come back again.
Amazing, authentic French Bakery! Incredible array of sandwiches, crepes, coffees, and decadent desserts!
Excellent varieties of pastries
Excellent small local bakeshop with crepes, soups and sandwiches. Have a coffee and try their pastries, mmmmmmmm
Very good pastries (we had a savory crepe which was pretty good, but the almond cream brioche was really delicious) and the best hot chocolate I had so far. Space is restricted and it can get busy, but worth it!
Pastries here are light, tasty and well presented. The best part is the contactless payment which is true contactless. The teller held up the machine to the Plexiglas shield for payment, which meant the card and machine truly did not touch. A small act, but one that shows how conscientious the company is to staying open and safe.
My family and I were looking forward to checking this place out. However after ordering our food we were disappointed. We were expecting fresh in house made baguettes and croissants. But what we got was store bought quality and consistency. The wheat grain baguettes tasted like the ones you can get from Safeway, you could tell they were day old and not bake that morning. The croissants had the colour, texture, and sweetness of the ones you can buy at Costco, also we’re not fresh and tasted like day old ones. For a French Bakery you would expect their croissants to be crispy, flaky, buttery, there was nothing like that. We also ordered a strawberry macron for my daughter and that was a major let down as well, again it had the look of ones you can get from Costco. We did not try the crepes or other pastries, hopefully those are better. I was really hoping this bakery would lived up to its stars but sadly it did not.
The space was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. We tried a few things, Prosciutto and salami sandwiches and the ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was pretty tasty and flavorful. However the sandwiches could have been better. Literally one paper thin slice of Prosciutto on a baguette, And the salami not much better. The toppings on each were fresh though. The baguettes on the other hand were tougher to bite through then any baguette I have ever had. Definitely didn't expect that from a "bakery". That all being said, definitely a popular spot for coffee and perhaps the baked goods, they sure did look delicious. They claim to have Calgary's best brownie so I will have to go back to try that.
Great place to have breakfast!
Delicious but expensive
Great French feel right here in Calgary !!!!! One of our secret weapons when selling in area…. Amazing pastries!
This place has deliciously overpriced food, but I still keep coming back. After today, I'm not so sure. I do not approve of allowing dogs INSIDE the business, that's what the open concept patio is for.
One of the best in the city. Make sure to try their smoked salmon banquette, any eclair or tart, and especially the crepes. Highly advice to everyone for a quick snack or even a meal. Coffee is also great.
Amazing pastries and excellent service.
Ummm don't bother with this place. Went here on Christmas Eve for breakfast, ready to splurge and get into the holiday spirit. Nothing decidedly European / French about any of the baked offerings, way too over priced, and no thought to the decor, music, or ambiance of the place.
Some of the best coffee in the city. One of my top 5 bakeries.
Best in Calgary!!!
There were too many delicious looking pastries that measured up to exactly how they looked. But beware of a food coma afterwards
Loved it
We got a croissant and something else in which I do not know how to say the name. It was hard to pick from the large selection! Both were super yummy and they have a cute outdoor seating area to enjoy the sun!
Was very impressed with the sandwiches and drinks. The chai tea latte was amazing.
Pretty good. Some days pastries are excellent and other days wanting. Overall good though.
Best for in Calgary, hands down!
Having recently moved to Calgary from Montreal (and having lived in Paris for a few years), I was excited to finally hear about a bakery where I could actually get real baguette and croissants in Calgary, which isn't necessarily known as being a culinary destination. So I bought a white baguette on Friday only to be surprised that it was the last one in the bakery (it was 2pm on a Friday afternoon !) - and also picked up 3 croissants. The total came up to $13 - yikes. I was hoping it was worth the price - but unfortunately, it wasn't. The baguette and the croissants all suffered from spending too much time in the oven - the crust was very dry and thick, which can sometimes be acceptable when it is offset by a moist and elastic interior. But alas, that was not the case. My conclusion is that the product was overpriced and certainly didn't meet my quality standards to which I'm used to. Sadly, the Ace baguette, even though it is frozen and cooked on site at your local supermarket, surpasses the baguette I bought. Quite an insult really when you think about it - and a tragedy as I like to support local artisans who have a passion for what they do, even when its more expensive. The baguette from Première Moisson in Montreal certainly beats the one from La Boulangerie hands down. Maybe I was unlucky and the person responsible that day slipped up, but irrespective, the end result was less than stellar... that being said, it`s a trendy part of town - so you can always get away with fancy decor and high prices - just don`t expect much if you`re buying a baguette (unless you wish to add it to your soup as an expensive crouton- which is what you normally with your baguette the day AFTER you buy it) ...
The sandwiches are mediocre but the desserts are absolutely delicious especially the kouign-amann 6/5 would recommend
We had the mushroom soup the lentil soup and a savory pastry of course it was the best pastry ever not to mention a wonderful mocha the service was great very attentive and friendly been coming here for the past several months since they opened
Best Creme Brulée in YYC
Friendly staff, amazing lattes, DELICIOUS food that is pure decadence :) I love that there’s parking right beside it, and a clean bathroom. Lots of tables and fantastic, cozy, and intimate ambience! Beautiful decor and music.
Charming place with great food. The croissants are amazing, the staff is friendly and atmosphere is vibrating. Pay a visit and you will not regret!
The food is worth 6 stars in terms of taste and appearence and they serve the most delicious sausage rolls I have ever tasted. As well, there coffee is very rich and flavourful. What this French bakery lacks in space, they more than make up for in taste. But It's the cramped atmosphere that I didn't enjoy. Myself and my date were cramped at a tiny table near two other tiny tables with almost no space to move. I'll give a 5 star review, but 4.5 would be more realistic.
Regular customer service. A little overpriced for the quality of the food. The bread of the sandwich was a little hard. The lentil soup was good.
Great Illy coffee and pastries. Try everything!
Everything was over sweetened and pricy for what you get. Too much sugar killed the flavor.
It’s really so so …
Fresh ingredients and perfect pastries! Love Sosh and her team!
Sooo good and soo many options
Great place! Very tasty and you can feel everything is from good quality and prepared with love. Oh, and the Pistachio pastry is delicious!
Overpriced, overrated and very sweet
Delicious cheapskate and pastry
Good nothing more
Perfection. Prompt, attentive service, amazing selection of fresh baked goods and coffee. Hidden menu gems 1) The mushroom soup tastes creamy, homemade and perfect. 2) Best sausage roll I've ever had - the sausage is cheese-filled (?!), spiced and there were secret sundried tomatoes inside! All wrapped in the crustiest, butteriest flaky pastry. I see a lot of regulars, the place is buzzing and most times of the day and I'm happy to see that!
I enjoyed our breakfast, the food and attention is really good. The only thing that I didn't like is too small place for big groups ????
Nice place!
The salmon crepe is fantastic!!
Coffee was good but... food was so-so and the service was terrible - very slow (despite hardly any customers) and not friendly. Would prob go somewhere else next time.
Fantastic Post Ride stop.
Great coffee and baked goods. I recommend the bostock
Amazing croissant and baguettes. The bacon and egg sandwich was amazing. The cold cut sandwiches were not write as good as they felt a touch light on the meat but still amazing. I have only had one of their sweet pasteries but it was supurb. Fully recommend going and giving a try.
Love it. Always nice and great food.
Really liked the nice patio. Staffs are friendly. However the macaron is a bit disappointing. Will visit again to try crepes!
Great service, good food. I stopped drinking coffee because it tastes bad but here? It’s very nice coffee. High quality ingredients
Love this place! Good coffee and great crèpes!
Five stars mean I would go back every chance I could while one star means I wouldn't go back or recommend. This place was a highlight to our trip to Calgary. The crepes were nothing less than phenomenal. The croissant sandwich was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cappuccino had the correct proportion of foam in it. So many places screw this up that it to see it correctly made was a great start to my day.
One of our favorite places in Calgary. A very European feel with food and coffee that is always amazing. Hugely recommend
We bought the marzipan pear croissant, almond croissant, and the nutty caramel tart thing.... they were all really yummy.
The food is delicious but the seating inside leaves much to be desired.
Great food and coffee
The fruit flan pastries here are delicious. Also there brownies here are delicious, not too sweet with a hint of mocha. Great desserts!
Thank you. Everyone
Best crepes in town. Ask for the breakfast crepe and you will not regret it.
We had a lovely Lemon Tart! So many wonderful baked goods to choose from. We will definitely visit again!
It was AWESOME!!!!!!
We love the bakery. Always fresh and tasty.
Slow service and tasteless fare.
Good staff, and a good selection of tasty snacks. Introduced us to a few flavor of Meringue.
Nothing more annoying than a cappuccino made with brewed coffee instead of espresso. I ordered it to go, so I didn't have chance to let them know right away in person. For the prices they're charging I would't imagine they would overlook such an important process in making a cappuccino.
Best americano in the city!
The best hot chocolate I've had!
Amazing baked goods. Great tasting coffee.
OWNER is simply GREAT ???? at guving excuses ???? very sad ????
Amazing french pastries. The whole family chose something different and we all loved it
Very bustling on a Sunday morning. Mixed reviews on this place definitely seem warranted, but my Americano was decent, the ham&cheese pastry had some really delicious type of soft cheese on it that I quite enjoyed. Not sure I’d pay $7 every weekend, but hey. Creme brûlée was also delicious but damn make sure you don’t get one with burnt sugar (which unfortunately seems to be a lot of them?) :/
Lovely food though I find it costs a little more than I prefer. They are fair prices - I'm just spoiled by a nearby bakery which is just as good but in a residential area (probably the prices reflect a difference in rent costs). The goat cheese & spinach crepe was super tasty. I recommend you stay to eat; my crepe had suffered a little by the time I got home. It was still yummy. Good balance of flavors. The hot chocolate was a disappointment. It was supposed to be Callebaut dark chocolate; it did not taste dark, or the exceptional quality I associate with Callebaut. It simply tasted ordinary.
Taste of Europe in every bite..
Amazing treats and eats!
More than a Calgary Gem... Its a Calgary.. Diamond? If i have money in my pocket I'll pop-in on my way to work in the morning. We have a yearly tradition is loading up on bakery treats for my partner's birthday. I look forward to that day every year.
As a French national craving French desserts, I wanted to like it. I tried the croissants and different pastries but was beyond disappointed every time. Taste, texture, “butteriness” are just not up to par.
Always late and rude staff Needs millions of years to match expectations
Best place in Calgary for crepes or pastries. The pistachio eclairs are to die for
Best selection of pastries in Calgary!
The pastry is as good as Paris and better. Oops, don't let the word out! My favorites sell out early.
Amazing French bakery. Very authentic. Great for breakfast.
The Parish atmosphere is amazing, and the breakfast crepe is delicious
Amazing pastries!
great coffee, the espresso was delicious and the desert selection is awasome!
Mouthwatering Queen Amann. Make sure you ask for it heated when you order.
Great vibe and delicious food
Great pastries and awesome service! However, I ordered a croissant sandwich one time and I didn't think it was really necessary to have 2 cardboard tray linings in the bag. So wasteful. Nice treats.
I'm still not sure I'm pronouncing it correctly, but I tell all my friends about this cafe. I get their coffee after weekend runs by the river and bring their pastries to my family on holidays. When I was sick, I had their French onion soup and its deliciousness lifted my spirits like nothing else could. Definitely worth visiting at least once when you're in Calgary!
Little pricey, but feels good to go there.
Best blueberry bran muffin and latte I have ever had. Maybe it's because I'm 4 months pregnant but everything about this place is exceptional. Lovely & kind staff, comfortable environment and delicious selections. Highly recommended.
Can't stop coming back here!!! Delicious
I have been coming here since it opened. The food is amazing and the owner is an absolute gem of a person.
Excellent though quite overpriced pastry, decent coffee. The place is consistently filthy, seems like they just don't clean it, except for some critical areas, like bathroom. Disgusting.
Good food, nice staff, the patio allows dogs. The only thing that kind of wrecked my experience here was just how noisy the road is. Also the patio area is so small you can hear all the conversations that go on here. It's hard to relax on this patio.
Really slow service
My fave: BROWNIES! The pastries are tasty and mouth-watering. Loved ALL their croissant flavours. Desserts and sweets are delectable to the palate. Staff is friendly. I recommend this cafe 100%. ????????????
Amazing place, amazing owner. Great food and service!
Fantastic coffee and patisseries, slightly disappointing sandwich.
Wonderful service and atmosphere. Always packed full of people. A wide range of food to desserts that look absolutely amazing. Got the large meringue...and it was amazing. Its for $6 but a very delicious and large cookie. Great texture with it too. Almond brioche - highly recommend. It is extremely moist and flavourful. The crepes also have a great crunch and egg taste to it.
Great coffee, and plenty of choice in baked goods. Definitely visiting again
Amazing ambient, service and delicious food. Unbelievable good experience.
Best crepes and pastries around!! I recommend anything with the dark chocolate Callebaut sauce, especially their Callebaut hot chocolate. Their macarons are beautiful and so brightly colored. And their custard tarts? Beautifully flakey and juicy
Love this place! It's so "frenchy"!
Got tarts?!? They offer a large selection of delicious tarts in different sizes. Their lattes are pretty good, too. However, stay away from the creme brulee...a bit too chilled and the water at the bottom of the ramekin didn't help. Skip the éclairs, too...borderline donuts and not much better than Safeway's.
Delicious treats at a great bakery!
Love the coffee. Great service.
A perfect place to sit and watch that world go by, a beautiful patio, fantastic service and a delicious section of baked goodness and my personal favorite the crepe! A popular spot for my friend and me to sit, relax and enjoy being a "human being" not a "human doing"
We love this place, reminds us of our trip to Paris. Fresh food and desserts to die for. Sausage rolls are amazing that I forgot to take a before picture. Staff and owner are on point professional, attentive and friendly
Best French bakery in the city. Come for the croissants, stay for the soup/crepes.
Great pastries
Nice place to take family friends n corporates
Amazing food but, they burn their beans
It's literally my favourite cafe in Calgary. I've always gotten excellent food from them, accompanied with the very best service. Today, they went above and beyond. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant on Uber Eats. A lady from the cafe called me to tell me that they were sold out and asked if she could substitute it with something else. I didn't want any of the items that they had at that moment, so she actually baked me a fresh one in time for my order! Thank you so much for your excellent service! You guys are the very best!
One of the best bakeries in town. Be ready to find a busy place even with covid. Any croissant (from plain to the sandwich) is outstanding. $$ standard and very good service. Tip: recently they mixed my order and I waited longer than usual, don't be afraid, talk to the guys that they will find a way to correct the mistakes or compensate you for waiting. Have fun there!
Great place too get some fresh breakfast. The crepes are really good.
My favorite place for breakfast ???? highly recommended for everyone to start your day
Visited the Cafe twice. The first time was so good made me love the place and wanted to go back. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same experience. They were so slow in the service and end up using plastic cutlery which can break as soon as you use it. I order cheese crossenat and they served it cold asked them to warm it and they said they can't heat it because of Covid unless I asked before touching it. It took them for ever to replace it. I asked whipped cream over the crep and payed for the extra. The order came with no whipped cream and when we talked to them they served it in cup!. Sadly am not going back.
Fantastic! Lots of great hidden gems on the menu, highly recommend the vanilla custard croissant. Awesome staff, Sara is the best!! Love this local spot ????
Absolutely DELICIOUS baked goods, good coffee, wonderful atmosphere... This place has it all. Quality and thought goes into every bite. The breakfasts are well-made with a few simple ingredients properly put together and served fresh all day. The breads have a lovely crackle, and are available to be purchased in loaves. I can't speak for every baked good, but each one I've tried has been light, tender, flaky, and wonderfully balanced. Not a single thing has been too sweet. The atmosphere will remind you of a European café- I highly recommend you take the time to sit down and enjoy it. This place is almost always very busy, so try to get there early if you wish to grab a seat. If you can't, it's alright because the staff is efficient and you won't be in line too long. TLDR; great French bakery. Busy, so get there early. Sit-down recommended.

An amazing atmosphere, amazing staff. Very friendly and fun to talk to. Will definitely be here again
The best part of this cute cafe is there outdoor Parisian inspired patio. Grab a croissant, a chai and a chair, put your phone down and watch the world go by.
Good coffee. Not may serve illy!
Food is good. Service is great. Food can be better.
I was surprised about the awesome bakery products, croissants, brownies, tarts. My morning crêpe with cheese, tomato and ham was big and tasty! I just wish they would introduce Galette as well!
the ham and cheese croissant is amazing also reallly good other pastries and coffee
The staff are so friendly here and the pastries are divine! Every time we come here there’s always something new and exciting. I would recommend La boulangerie to anybody looking to bring a unique treat as a gift to someone for a special day or just because ❤️
I think it’s kind of rude to force your delivery drivers to wait outside in the cold, especially when sometimes there isn’t parking right outside all the time. Sometimes we park a block away. Just a suggestion.
My favorite weekend brunch spot! Delicious sandwiches and pastries
Wife went in to order today. Waited 20 minutes only to find out they forgot to start her order, acceptable if it was busy but it was not. Food always great, just the occasional hiccup in service.
Meh, I'm allergic to nuts and everything else. I just can't trust this place, it looks good, I hear it's good.... But yeah, too afraid to risk it - kinda sums up my experience here.
Wonderful bakery treats (like really good!) And also very to make some coffee (about 10min). Been there multiple times same coffee inefficiency. I do still recommend it as a must try it you like buttery chocolate croissants.
I was extremely happy with the food, coffee, ambience, and staff at La Boulangerie. Amazingly good breakfast sandwiches and illy coffee. It’s a little crowded during the weekend morning rush, but the outside sidewalk seating gives you a great place to take in the morning, and the staff will bring your order (including coffees) to your table.
The best pastry and coffee shop in Calgary!
Top notch service and my lunch was amazing.
Don't expect to get order delivery right away. For delivery driver fellow (skip, doordash, uber eats) if you don't want to waste your time don't come here. They have wasted my time twice (an hour each). They don't consider delivery as important as the walk in customer
This bakery is superb. One of the only places in Calgary which makes me feel like I’m on vacation. The pastries are delicious and there is so much variety. I recommend trying the breakfast crepes as well. Word of caution, sometimes it does take a while for the order, but it’s worth the wait. After all, delicious food takes time.
Since they started taking skip orders, wait times in the restaurant have doubled. With only two crepe machines you're waiting behind countless orders that have more priority than yours. I don't want to use skip to make sure the restaurant keeps all their money, but I might have to start doing it to get consistent and faster service. Otherwise, everything is absolutely excellent.
My favourite breakfast place in the morning! Dog friendly on the outside patio! Super high quality everything. Love love love
Amazing pastries! Welcoming customer services!
The best bakery I have visited in Alberta. An awesome selection of really delicious food! Did I mention their cream of mushroom? Yummy!
The staff very slow
Wow, quel pastry
Great loaves of bread, sandwiches and crepes.
Their crepes are good and they have freshly squeezed orange juice but I think their specialty is definitely the baked goods and desserts. Great coffee as well :)
Been going here for years for coffee and a croissant sandwich. The quality is great and service is fast and friendly.
Beautiful place and delicius food.
Amazing food Reminds me of home )
Cool little place, awesome delights in the bakery section. Drip coffee wasn’t anything special.
Good lattes and pastries.
love their blueberry crumble!
Great crepes, I prefer the chicken breast with mozzarella and spinach, but it's all good.
Really liked everything i have tried, lemon tart was outstanding so the tarts and cheese cake but a family favorite are the kouign-amann described as the most buttery pastry in France so yeap is that good, of layers of crispy pastry baked with a caramel base perfection every bite -sometimes croissant may be bit darker than i like but personal taste. Great patisserie
Best bakery in town
If you are looking for a good French dessert you have to go to this place. Crème brulée is amazing!
The crepes here are exactly how I remember them in Paris. I love coming here in the odd Saturday to sip coffee and eat my crepe and people watch it’s the ultimate throwback to being in France. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
My favourite coffee place in Calgary! Amazing coffee, delicious pastries and friendly stuff.
Great food , great staff ... and a airy pleasant atmosphere
Amazing little French cafe with fantastic pastry!!!
Lattes are excellent and for the most part wonderful baked goods. However, in my opinion their croissants are over-cooked; croissants should be light on the inside and crispy-flaky on the outside, but the outside of theirs are more crunchy-hard. But my main complaint is that the music is played at a rather high volume, which makes me want to flee the shop rather than linger.
Best croissants in Calgary hands down.
The crepes are delicious, and service is fast, since they are always very busy.
The best bakery in Calgary the kouin Aman are too good and csosh is simply amazingly love ????❤️
Best hot chocolate in town (and best croissants, pain au chocolat... etc etc)
Oh la la. Awesome pastry
This is by far the best French bakery in town, however for the life of me I have no idea why, at almost any time of day, they are sold out of their hazelnut/almond croissants. 5/5 of my last visits they had neither! MAKE MORE! It's like they aren't acknowledging the demand for their great food! But don't hesitate to come here because it's awesome and a real jewel of Calgary.
Very disappointed with the two big tarts I bought recently, they weren't made even close to the French style, very sweet to the extent that we couldn't eat them, right to the garbage unfortunately.
Delicious food and the service is awesome, will definitely go back!
Good everything here (soup, sandwiches, crepes, pastries, and coffee of course)!
They serve delicious pastries and a good tasting cappuccino. The outdoor seating is nice, but traffic is loud and gets distracting
Amazing food.

Always a lovely experience in every way. The Crepes are so savory and they make the very best Chai.
Great place. Loved the pistachio chocolate croissant????
Lady said she had the best brownies in town. Well... unless your wife is Martha Stewart then she’s probably right.
Very graceful of staff to take the time and find me to return my ID, also their food's killer.
Nice bakery overall. We ordered a prosciutto sandwich and a pepper salami. Had to open to see if there was any meat inside. Very skimpy and the bread was very hard. Overall difficult to eat. The croissant however was memorable
We ordered breakfast sandwiches this morning - one croissant and one baguette. I feel giving 2 stars is harsh considering the baked goods were really great, but the bacon on my baguette was absolutely horrible. It was old and burnt to a crisp which resulted in small crummy pieces of stale bacon. The flavor was what really got to me the most, it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure what was wrong with it, but I had to remove it as it made the rest of the sandwich taste terrible. Shame since bacon is a great add-on that is easily executed. Everything else was great so will probably order again. Just need to sort out the bacon factor. This is Canada, after all ????????????
Amazing crêpes and good coffee.
Everything here is the best. You owe it to yourself to eat it.
Amazing bakery and crepes
It's in a nice location, but the coffee and pastries came in a take-out cup and on a cardboard plate, and the food we got (omelette and sandwich) were very basic and didn't taste of much. The coffee is fine as take-out, but the seating experience and the food weren't great.
Quite disappointed with the baguette, not the kind of crispiness expected. The menu advertised it came with Arugula, was served with spinach instead.
Fantastic savory crepes (the smoked salmon is the star of the menu), great pastry and coffee too!
I love this place! Quality Bar None
People have given birth in less time than it takes this place to make a coffee and croissant order...
Was very excited to go here. my husband and i decided to go here for an early morning breakfast for our wedding anniversary. there was no mention on the website or on the businesses voicemail that they would be closed that day. we got here at 6:30am and paid for parking to see 1 sign at the front door saying they would be closed. a minor inconvenience. after driving 40 minutes i didn’t just want to leave so i noticed you could still order pickup from their website. my husband went to the door to ask with the staff if that would be possible and the literally yelled at him asking if he read the sign (i could hear her yelling from inside my vehicle!) and if we place an order we for sure wouldn’t get it. working in service ourselves, i think this situation could have been handled a lot differently and mitigated entirely if they posted it on their website/voicemail. as much as this place looks great, don’t think i’ll be back to try after my experience.
My family and I feel quite "at home" here... Food is excellent and customer service impeccable. Merci beaucoup, La Boulangerie!
The food here is really good but the service isn't at the same standard. Been coming here for a long time but won't be rushing back. Such a shame
I ordered a Prosciutto baguette sandwich, Americano, and a custard vanilla croissant. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Awesome!
Great coffee and some pretty amazing baking.
Super love this place!!!!! Super delicious pastries ???????????? and the owner is super nice ???????????? would defntly buy pastries here
Very fresh fare.
Delicious and affordable. Happy:)
Always a great latte and their pastries are wonderful! Very kind staff as well :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bakery! I have been coming here for many years now and every time I visit the Owner always greets me and is super welcoming. The bakes goods and breakfast menu are superb! We love you <3
One of the best spots in town for amazing coffee, french pastry and breakfast
Was now there for breakfast and ordered baguette sandwich. It was very hard! They refused to toast other piece which I didn't touch. I couldn't eat it.
Really cute and peaceful patio. The espresso they use is high quality. We chose to order the salmon croissant sandwich and salmon crepe - we both preferred the crepe, but both were great. For dessert we chose the vanilla custard strawberry tart, which was phenomenal. We took a mozzarella croissant home, and it was fairly average, a little dry and not enough cheese filling for our taste. We look forward to coming back and trying more of the desserts - the dessert case looked so scrumptious and it was really hard to choose.
One of my favorite places and I can't wait to be able to think on the patio on a quiet early spring morning someday soon.
The Kouign Amann is an absolute must-try, and the coffee is among the better so far in the city (I'm new to Calgary, so I'm just starting my coffee journey here). This is an absolute jem of a shop, and one that's worthy of a try if you haven't been here already)
Excllent crepes, croissants and pastries! Wonderful service as well!
The best place in town and I could say it
This place is so delicious I hesitate writing this review so more people don't find out about this gem! You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. We love the crepes or croissant sandwiches. Their patio is dog friendly and a great place to have a morning breakfast in the summer.
Very good food and drinks but also very expensive. The atmosphere is very relaxed and feels like a quiet bistro in the middle of a busy City. There can be a bit of a wait on weekends.
We ate crepes. It was good. The table was wobbly. You might say that's a minor gripe, well to that I say I gave it five stars.
Extreamly rude staff
Really loved the vibe here.. feels like a cafe in paris.. and the cafe au lait was creamy and delicious. The staff was super friendly and the building had a great airy feel to it. My baguette sandwich and French onion soup were both fresh and delicious!! I feel lucky to have a place like this in my neighborhood!
Amazing food and drinks. Customer service is great too. I will definitely come back!
My favorite coffee shop! Always pleasant experience with the best cappuccino in town.
You can really tell a lot of care goes into their food. Absolutely amazing pastries, best I’ve had since being in France.
Love this spot! The owners are so kind and sweet! They have a large selection of pastries and desserts and it’s always fresh! Love coming here
Disappointed ☹️
Bought cappuccino, so good ???? highly recommend
Love their baked goods.. Probably the best croissants in the city
Great place!
Lovely place!
I drive from citadel to come here. I love this place
Great spot, good food and good vibe. Extremely friendly owners, who work hard and really get to know the costumers. Gets a little busy on weekends and can be crowded but worth it for the good food.
Delicious and friendly - you get that nice cozy bakery feeling from La boulangerie!
Great Illy coffee and pastries!
Very good food and the people that work there are extremely nice!
Personal favorite coffee shop .. it's really great spot ... you'll never regret going there
Today (oct 9,21) had the mushroom, spinach and cheese crepe. Mushrooms were a black, mushy paste wìth an strong and strange flavor. After two bites I couldn't eat any more of it. 5 hrs later still have that awful taste in my mouth and a bad bellyache.
Love this place. Great coffee the staff is awesome and really friendly, but even if they wernt you'll still come every weekend for the amazing crepes and baked goods. Highly rec you give the Almond Brioche.
Incredible selection of fine pastries and many other items. I ordered their bacon and egg omelette baguette and a large latte. Both were very delicious and made me want to explore more of their delicious food items. The only downside was lack of seating space inside the restaurant so we had to sit outside on the street patio which required warm clothing and a coat. It was very busy so our wait was quite long. Prices were on par with this trendy location. Apart from all that, I look forward to returning here again and recommend others try this great little place.

So I should expect most of the goods to be gone as it was noonish but most everything bread like was gone. The tart were wayy over priced $7+ for one tart is too much and they had no prices available for any of the tarts or other treats except the cookies in bags. I don't think I will go back.
Awesome staff, very friendly and inviting
Poor service and they don't look local unprofessional manager with rude style
Wonderful sweets and hot drinks, however the cold drink menu isn't the best value. Nice seating and customer service however.
Nice place and very delicious food
Worst experience I've ever had from an employee.
Very good little bakery for coffee and food. We tried the breakfast crepe and melette croissant and they were delious. We also LOVED the coffee which uses illy beans, our favorite and taste just like in Italy. Would definitely visit again.
Wonderful place to have dessert it smells beautifully delicious.
I really love this place. I got there every single time that I have the opportunity but always in weekends. However, today I was very close and I decided to visited to have a succulent baguette and a coffee for Breakfast. Well the baguette that I received after a long time wait ( we was no more that 4 clients) was extremely cold, and when I asked why my baguette was cold, the employees look at me as I was crazy. Finally she offer to use the oven, but was so late and i need to go to work. Please guys please take care of the quality as always. I will returning but for sure only in weekend
Food is good. The acoustics in the space make conversation difficult. Traffic flow at the counter has never been addressed properly.
This is 'the' perfect coffee shop. Intimate and friendly atmosphere, basically seating for two. The food is over the top fantastic. Staff is the best.
Nice atmosphere, good-tasting croissants
La Boulangerie deserves every star of all these reviews. Ever since they opened and I lived in Mission, this was been my favorite place in Calgary. Go for a breakfast crepe or choose from the wide range of pastries and treats...the ham and cheese croissant will have you wondering why you aren't getting one every weekend, or every morning. Grab a baguette to go, an authentic addition to any meal or take home one of the impressive desserts in the glass display.. you'll be drooling over these at till. As some reviews indicate the place can be considered 'pricey'. It's a french bakery in Calgary, offering fresh and delicious food. McDonald's and the like have deluded people to the the cost of real food.
Chocolate pistachio croissants are killer.
I like the food and coffee here, however I will give it only three stars because service is pretty slow. I went in to get a latte and there were only two customers at the store, myself and another guy, and I still had to wait 7 minutes for my drink. I was counting the minutes because I had to go to work so I kept on looking at my watch...
I have been to many a boulangerie in France, this one was indistinguishable from them.
The best pastrys I aet for very long time. We took the chocolate, strawberry and the black currant macaroons and although I'm not a macaroon fan, it was delicious. We also took the Quign Aman. An amazing pastry!!! And we got 3 pieces of blueberry pie and 3 pieces of apricot pie on the house. The sugar level now is extremely high :) The owner is lovely lady. MUST PLACE FOR EVERYONE HOW IS COMING TO CALGARY!!!
I always enjoy a coffee and a treat when we're in the area. Great place, always busy!
Well-intentioned but poorly executed. My issue comes from the fact the food is quite expensive and the quality just isn’t there. The pastries tend to be quite heavy giving the sense of day old.
They make amazing french pastries here. Incredible.
About a year ago, I had a very great experience here. Staff were friendly, food was great and service was fast. However, my last 2 visits were disappointing. The wait time for food was just ridiculous and the staff would never tell you how long it will take for your order. I know that with everything that’s going on, more safety protocols are in place. So service time is affected. But to wait for an hour for the order is not acceptable. I can’t remember the exact date but it was sometime in June when this happened. And last month, I tried to give them another chance. I was the only customer at about 7:30am. Ordered a soup and some pastries. I waited (again) for 20 minutes for my order. I don’t know what was going on because I was the only one there. It would have helped if the staff explained why it’s taking so long. But no! Nothing. And the other employees working were just going through their tasks and never said a word even if they saw me waiting there. No hi, hello, good morning. Not even a smile.
Absolutely love this place! I've never been disappointed and everything they have tastes amazing. I'm a little addicted to this place. The staff is friendly and fast. They have an amazing assortment of anything you might need or want.
Great coffee and pastry
One of The best bakery in Calgary !
Why is everything so good here
If you want to have to wipe down your own table this is the place. The patio is nice and dessert is good but the tables are soo dirty and they don’t care to wipe them down.
This is cute little bakery right beside wurst. I had their tuna on a baguette and pistachio eclair dessert. Both were super fresh. The staff we're really friendly it was a nice change of pace to relax. with covid being dropped every two seconds it felt like it use to be before this mess happened, so thank you for the moment.
Fantastic pastries!
Great environment with delicious baking and coffee. The patio is also a relaxing way to sip away a weekend
A pretty decent coffee and French pastries cafe. Very nice vibe and great service. Love the variety of different desserts they have.
Had an OK croissant here - was soft on the outside and still had it's layers but would have liked it to be less chewy/soft and a bit more crisp!
I love Boulanger. The owner is warm and lovely! The food is beyond delicious, healthy and well made.
I love this place. They have amazing desserts and the salmon crepe is a must-try. Service is efficient and staff are so friendly!
One of our favourite restaurants - a little touch of Paris' in the heart of downtown Calgary. Join us in the program called “Canada Take Out Day ” launched on Wednesday, April 15th They ask those able to order take out every Wednesday. We love our local businesses and want to help them.
I love there real hot chocolate. She even gave me a piece of real chocolate on the side....the desserts are amazing! A Place everyone should try!
(Translated) Baguette is really good ♡ (Original) 바게트 정말 맛있어요♡
Best breakfast spot when you want something different...
It is so tiny and crowded that it is really awkward to try and get in and out..I also feel it is overpriced. I tried cookies, a loaf of bread and a ham & cheese pastry. The cookies were scrumptious and I like the bread as well but I ended up throwing half of the ham & cheese pastry away.. it was dry as the ham and cheese was not proportioned well, you got one big glob in the middle :p *** was in for more cookies and thought I'd try the ham sandwich (I really want to like this place since it's in my neighbourhood) but the sandwich wasn't good either... the bun they use is very heavy and the sandwich is very plain. They use a very low quality ham in my opinion.
Great food
A little pricey but still love it
Friendly staff and a great choice of hot drinks and sweet options!
A great place for brunch!
Ham and Cheese crossiants are amazing
Delicious baked goods. Reminds me of being in Europe.
Great place for pastry as well delicious crepes either sweet or savoury.
The staff are so friendly and attentive, I love coming here in the mornings.
Great owner, great crapes
I love this place. Unfortunately so do a lot of others-it's busy! Great patisserie!
Ordered the salami croissant sandwich, prosciutto croissant sandwich, a regular latte, and an iced chai latte. The croissant itself was good but everything else was average. If I do visit again, I would just order a plain croissant since I don't think the sandwiches were worth the price ($11 each). Patio was full on the weekend. Good service!
Oh my goodness-- the crepes and desserts are all fabulous; how will I ever choose?
Like a little taste of France in the middle of Calgary. They have the French patisserie down pat. The kouign amann is the best I’ve ever had with a bottom caramelized crust of butter and sugar. If you do a google search for “kouign amann Calgary”, this shop is the first hit on page one. Great place to take your partner for a taste of Europe. Only downside is because it’s so popular, on weekends can be quite busy
Nice little spot to grab coffee and a pastry. Prices are reasonable. Great European atmosphere. The outdoor seating has been expanded and it is an excellent addition.
Had the hazelnut eclair and was sick with food poisoning for two days afterwards. Too bad that no attention is given to what goes into the foods served to the customers.
Great tuna salad on croissant
The Creme Brulee is a hit feature in my household - a real treat. Inside the shop, everyone followed the social distancing guidelines and the debit machine works behind the plexi barrier. Will be coming back again!
Love this place! Best bakery on 4th st! People and specially the owner are such good people!
Great sandwiches and fantastic crepes and baked goodies. One of my favorite places to go on 4th. Nice little patio to enjoy your coffee on as well.
Great coffee really good
Definitely pricey but the baked treats are fantastic!
Enjoyed this little niche cafe. Had an iced mocha, very enjoyable. A little pricey but which one isn't.
Matcha latte was way too sweet for me, but the cheesecake was a delight
Awesome pastries and snacks..Great owner/manager.
Good crepes
Best pastries ???? in town!!
Took me 35 minutes just to get a coffee with only 4 people in front of me in line. The staff was all doing prep work and left 1 poor girl to make all the drinks herself while a bunch of customers stood around waiting.
I have been going to La Boulangerie for a few years. They have a great atmosphere with neighborhood cafe feels. The owner is almost always there and she is super nice and helpful. You can tell they care about their business when they are always there serving, prepping and helping staff out. I love their pastries and baked goods, always fresh and so tasty. The crepes and baguette sandwiches are really good and make great brunch or lunch options. I recently ordered their croquembouche (cream puff towers) for a party and they were such a hit. I can't recommend this place enough.
Great selection, of pastries, breads and lots great options for breakfast or to go options. I would suggest getting there early on the weekends as it fills up fast, staff are very friendly and quick to help. Wait times can vary but just be prepared and you will have no issues!
Very friendly owner and great sweets.
So good! I love this place and the staff is beyond friendly. Literally go out of my way to go here.
European experience in redneck city
The team here is very pleasant and hard working. Their pastries are delicious and the Bostock is an absolute delight. I will keep going back.
This cafe makes me happy. Wonderful pastries - my favourite is the croissants, but I also love the crepes. I would start my day off here every day if I could.
Delicious ????
Great cafe with fresh everything and friendly service!
Best ham and cheese croissant in Calgary.
really delish pasties and sandwiches and creepes. I really go here to spoil my self!!
Great first impressions! Got the pepper salami croissant sandwich and chicken crepe. D-LICIOUS from first bite until the last bite. Also got the Dulce de Leche Alfajores cookie and brownie. Soo good! Great owner, great service. Highly recommend.
We were very disappointed in our last visit just after the restaurant opened after lockdown. We had always enjoyed over the last 5 years or so dropping in for a breakfast but after our last breakfast (2 - coffee and 2 egg & bacon croissants) cost a total of close to $40.00 ... we will not be back. The coffee was $12.00 for a regular cup and when we asked why it was so expensive the reply was...we have switched to an organic brand.
Fabulous- si French!!
Best baked goods in town! My personal favorite is the chocolate pistachio bun.
Old world croissant place, best in Calgary as far as I can tell. Crepes are awesome and the pies are delicious. Illy coffee. Highly recommended!
Ok the whole wheat rye sourdough is sooo good!! The cappuccinos remind of being in Europe which is so lovely. Very friendly staff.
Ok the whole wheat rye sourdough is sooo good!! The cappuccinos remind of being in Europe which is so lovely. Very friendly staff.
La boulagery has amazing pastries, and I look forward to going and trying their desserts and sandwiches. They have been mindful of social distancing and other measures, but are always kind. There is 15 min parking out back. Sitting is currently on the patio tho, so be prepared to catch some sun
Great local, independent cafe & bakery!
Great coffee place. one of the best in town
Great crepes!! Very large portions.
Great quality and selection but prepare to pay a little more
Amazing! Best Cafe in the city by far
Love, love, love, the kouign amann (prononce Queen aman)! It's a delicacy.
Such a nice and cosy restaurant I love it for brunch, the crepes and omelette are awesome. Fresh orange juice and nice coffee. Staff are so friendly. Priced reasonably.
Dessert is amazing here!
My favourite place to eat in Calgary.
Merveilleuse! Superbe, incroyable, fantastique!! I bring my FSL students there at least 1 time a year for the past 3 years and the students (between 15-18 adore it). I take my daughter at every chance. I just told my daughter I was taking her there today as she starts middle school tomorrow and she was ectstatic! We always love going there. The owner is a gem!
Excellent savory crepes. I had goat cheese/roasted red pepper/tomato but the caprese one was even better.
I've tried the sandwiches, coffee, and tarts here a couple of times, and they've been very good! The freshly baked bread is fantastic, and the other ingredients are also fresh and good quality. The tarts were also very good, I particularly enjoyed the nut tart, it even had pistachios on it. The coffee is good quality that can stand on its own, and the Nutella latté is truly fantastic. The prices are on par with what I expect from a specialty café, I absolutely will be back again.
I love this place , amazing service
This place is so good! I was pulled in by the delicious crepes and was introduced to so much more. The Kouign-amann is a must try - I can't do it justice with words so Just get in there and try it!
I find it funny that this place does not have drink trays for take out orders
Love this place! Testy, cozy, good service!
Good
Yummy ????
Great, friendly cafe with superb patisserie. A real go-to for dinner party desserts and delicious treats. Good coffee. Well located close to the river pathway. Great patio in the warmer months.
Delicious pastries every time. I love the croissants.
This place has a nice atmosphere and is always very busy so I figured I would try it for lunch. I ordered the “ham and cheese” baguette sandwich. It was one of the most disappointing sandwiches I’ve ever had. It contained one measly piece of ham that doesn’t even fully cover the bread, a mountain of cheese (it’s the only non soggy texture), a gardens worth of arugula (I had to remove 2/3rds) and so many runny tomatoes that it the bread was soggy 3 minutes after purchasing. Disgusting.
Seriously delicious pastries- everything is good! The coffee is also noteworthy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They’ve assisted me with finding options for dietary restrictions. Giving 4 star review because it is a bit expensive. I assure you it’s worth every penny though!
Very crowded on the weekends, barely any space to walk through as staff or customer. However it was easy to find a table to sit at. The food quality is good, but a bit over-priced. I ordered a 9$ baguette and the ingredients tasted great and seemed fresh. But unfortunately the baguette was hard and really cut up the roof of my mouth as I ate. Which I wouldn't say was the fault of the bakery, more so the bread of choice. It's a good place to pop in for a quick bite to go when you're tired of some of the other options in the area.
Very tasty food and a wide selection to choose from. You can't go wrong with whatever you pick
Love this place! Great pastries and coffee! Has a nice patio. It's cozy and always busy! Great place to catch a quick breakfast or some pastries to go! Must visit!
Excellent pastry
I cant believe this place took 25 mins for them to make a breakfast sandwich not to mention it cost 10 bucks for something I could of made at home. Also very skimpy on the cream cheese and a tiny little piece of salmon. I won't ever be back for one of those sandwiches again.
Great place for coffee including specialty coffees. Their baguettes and croissant sandwiches are fantastic.
Delicious
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Went there for breakfast, bad coffee, so overpriced, plastic cutlery and cheap disposable plates. Cold eggs. XL flies flying in the air. My daughter wanted an apple pie, I figured they are behind glass so must be safe from the flies. $30 later and 35 minutes to get home I found I have a pie just not an apple pie. So disappointing. I left voicemail and now a day and a half later no returned call from staff or management. The girls who worked there were overwhelmed and defeated. Place needs new management, someone who cares, has a vision, drive and wants to earn their pay.
Cant imagine there are too many people missing Bryan in Montreal or Paris. This is a beautiful little café. Friendly staff, great selection of food, breads, pastries. Lovely atmosphere and owner operated adding to a true neighbourhood feel. Worth it.
Great Burekas! Quality ingredients
My favorite café!!! Best croissants in Calgary and delicious tarts!

They have the best brownies i have ever ate. Literally To. Die. For.
Amazing pastries, kouign amann is one of the best in Calgary!
Great bakery, very crowded and cramped.
Staff was lovely, my iced hazelnut latte was delicious. And the kouign amann was AMAZING. I'd post a pic but I inhaled it all too quickly.
What's the hype? Sandwich bread was dry, croissant was overcooked. Expensive too. Meh...
This place is over the top good. Friendly owner. Delicious food. The crepe was huge -- I saved half for lunch. The pastries were amazing.
Great place for coffee and sweets.
Delicious!
Generally good but not great really. They have better coffee than breakfast.
Best Kouign Amann in Calgary and some of the best I have ever had.
Great pastries and treats. The breakfast selection isnt vast and I thought It was a bit too salty. Coffee isnt comparable to other cafes, but it was busy whe I was there, so maybe that's why.
Excellent
Cute place. Clean. Friendly service. Very busy just before and during lunch. I had a small lemon tart. Pure sugar. I could taste the sugar crystals as it seemed like they weren't dissolved. Much much too sweet for me. The shortbread crust was difficult to cut with the plastic cutlery I was given. The hot chocolate wasn't great. It was chilly outside and I don't drink coffee or tea so thought I would give it a try. They used dark chocolate but to be fair that was noted in the description and I just found it bitter tasting. I would give the place another go and try something not as sweet.
This place speaks for itself.
The strawberry Nutella crepe was really good.
best bakery EVER
Delicious and very friendly staff!
Never have I had such high hopes for a bakery, only to be disappointed so much. My classic bakery favorite: ham & cheese croissant is served here so I thought I'd try it. What an atrocity to have a beautiful crisp buttery croissant and put cheese ON TOP of it?! Like a soggy mess?! No crisp buttery flakes! Not even a nice gruyere but something that tasted vaguely like mozzarella. The French would roll over in their graves. So I then thought to try a sweet pastry, maybe it would be better? I opted for a mixed berry and almond tart. It was an improvement over the croissant but half the damned thing was crust!! My partner ordered a chocolate hazelnut tart which I tried as well. So much sugar and sweetness - not well balanced. 0/3: never again.
We love this bakery, not only for the products sold but the people who own and run the place.
Great place to eat
Busy but worth it! So yummy especially the Nutella latte and pistachio croissant

I went here for lunch last weekend and have to say that it was one of the best meals that I’ve had in a very long time! Excellent customer service and very cozy place. Will definitely be a regular here!
Beautiful bakery! My go to when I'm in calgary!
Great food and staff. Everything is so yummy. So many bad places to eat in Mission but this place is NOT one of them!!
Fav bakery in Calgary
Very French
Super disrespectful staff I would never recommend anyone over there because of the lady working there name Shauss. Well that’s what she told me her name was anyway. I asked her if she has a extra mask coz mine was broken , and her attitude was super disrespectful and so was her behaviour.
Food was great for brekky. Had a delicious scone and coffee. Service de was Friendly and
A very nice place and helpfull staff to help you with your orders.
Excellent authentic French/Belgian Boulangerie (Bakery) and Pattisserie (pastries). Amazing selection of pastries, baked goods, crepes, coffee, espresso and more! Friendly staff, this place is always buzzing, and for good reason! It's the best in town!
