This Bakery is classified in the category of Pastry shop.
I LOVE this place. All I can say is the pastries and everything are So Good it's Dangerous. Breakfast, Lunch etc. A bit more expensive than a lot of places, but you pay for quality.
Outstanding!
Delicious, delicious treats! Need I say more? Ok, the service was good as well :)
Unfortunately, during my visit to Éclair de Lune, the selection of pastries was very limited. It looked as though there may have been more earlier in the day but I’m not sure. I didn’t particularly like the pastry my friend and I shared, but that doesn’t mean it was poorly made. That said, I was quite disappointed with the dark hot chocolate I ordered. It didn’t taste like much of anything and looked like the chocolate added to the milk had not been mixed properly. I can’t recommend this patisserie.
Kinda snobby
Just look at the picture.
Prices are high. People are cold along with the food.
Good pastries selections, love their cookies, eclairs, and the Millefuee "which I am sure I spelled wrong ☺️"!
Delicious!
A few words that ends in Delicious ????
Excellent products and decently priced
Been here few times, the turnovers and danish are bomb af.
This is simply perfection. I tried it for the first time yesterday and I think it's my to go place now in case I want the best dessert.
Great coffee and amazing baked goods. They have a wide selection of frozen French pastries that can be baked at home.
so fricken good! been coming here for years!!
Amazing place!
Amazing experience and service! Best french pasterie in the city!
Too much great looking food
Visited 3 times. Food is wonderful but ths staff are very unfriendly. High prices.
Tremendous
Awesome shop! The girl who works the front is super kind and helpful and the food is dangerously good :-)
Always amazing! Best patisserie in Calgary. You cannot go wrong.
Best baked goods in town! ????
Went for something sweet, came out with lots of cream. Chocolitine had probably a teaspoon of chocolate yet its size promised a lot more.
Best pastries and amazing sandwiches.
Wow. This is one of those places that you walk into and immediately wish you left your fat kid eyes and wallet at home. Incredible attention to detail here! The more you look the more you find! Bunch of additional savory items also available. So a great spot for any time it's open really! Now let's talk about taste. In the top left of the picture is a mango coconut mouthful of amazing. Top right is a apple caramel of mouth orgasm and last but god damn certainly not least is a raspberry almond blast of the best thing you've ever put in your mouth. Come here. Take a bus, car, scooter, bicycle. I don't care. These people need more recognition!
Best baked goods in town! By far ????
Phillipe is an amazing pastry chef and welcomes everyone individually. We are almost daily regulars for the Chai Latte and Chef's Croissant specials. Full of flavour and flaky goodness, and the lemon tart is fabulous.
A bit pricy but worth trying. Really good quality and flavourful
Unsuspecting little place. Good pastry
Amazing desert selection.. my favorite bakery in the city!
Lovely atmosphere with delicious pastries and coffee.
Worth the drive for the lemon meringue pies ... any of the desserts im sure you'll go home satisfied with maybe even decide to drive back that way again!!
Great place!Really good price for super good coffee and pastries. We also buy cakes from here and they are superb!
We are a regular at this place . Yesterday we visited the new location they have moved to and realized it’s every bigger and better now . The way chef makes the food here is amazing. I tried the apple tart yesterday and again I was impressed. We never had a bad experience ever here . The best pastry shop in town
Updated: Today I just went to this bakery again. The service was not very welcoming as when I first walked into the shop, the chef/owner just stared at me and turned around without saying anything. I like to support local business but not shops like this! NEVER AGAIN!! ____________________________________________________________ The new location is brighter and more spacious; however, the service was super slow and the staffs seemed to be not very well-trained that they didn't know what they're doing had to come back and forth to check which item was which. They also had to look at a hand-written price sheet to check the price one by one that took up too much time and created an unnecessarily long line up as they're just simply serving coffee and pastries (not even any hot food). I don't mind to pay a little more if the food quality is very good, but in general i think this place is a bit overpriced where i can find similar or better quality pastries in another bakery.
French style pastry.
I recently visited their new store. Still have great croissants and sausage rolls!
A lot of selection and the prices are reasonable! A nice place to sit and enjoy the baked goods and everything tastes as if it were made with love.
Always has great desserts, and sales on day-old bakery items. Service is always fast, though there isn't always someone at the counter. The staff are very friendly and personable, one time the owner kept the cafe open past closing so that we could come back to pick up some bakery items. They really go above and beyond :)
No comment other than we found them to be slow and not customer centric...
I love this place! Their croissants are delicious. So light and fluffy and buttery.
Nice place
Love this charming little french bakery. Our go to place for sweet treats and for a special lunch out.
The best desserts. We fell in love with the Chessecake
Eclair de Lune Northwest Calgary is the best kept secret for a French bakery that Calgary has to offer. They have also expanded they have a nice little coffee shop inside so you can enjoy your pastries inside or outside on a beautiful day. They are moving in October so drop by and say hello to the French pastry chef before they move they're not going too far thank God.
Fancy and delicious french bakery. Very lucky to have a gem like this close by
Beautiful french pastries, staff was polite and helpful. Looking forward to shopping here for birthday cake this weekend!
(Translated) Very good pastries made by a French chef. The taste of France ???????? found in Calgary in Canada ????. (Original) Très bonnes pâtisseries réalisées par un chef français. Le goût de la France ???????? retrouvé à Calgary au Canada ????.
The best croquant noisette and desserts! Also love their croissant sandwiches; worth the drive since we live in the south.
Real French products.
Lovely place. I got the vibe of a family run business and I will take my business there everytime. I arrived 25 mins before closing and they were still more than happy to help me out with a cake that looked amazing and tasted so good. They were super friendly and i enjoyed my visit here. Will come back for sure. Highly recommended.
Hidden Gem
Pastry and cakes are always on top of my list! Very good cakes indeed. It’s always freshly baked. They also have a dining area here where you can try their other variety.
A very nice dessert and coffee place
Best cakes and pastry in all of calgary
It's a decent pastry cafe , however their customer service lacks greatly. I was waiting.for five.minutes without asisstance on my first visit despite that all of the workers knew I was there waiting. Upon my second visit the front lady didn't greet us and had limited communication skills that made the visit awkward. Great food but improve on the customer service otherwise you will loose a lot of business .
Great place to have DESSERT and COFFEE.
This is one of my favourite bakeries in the city. It's a small mom and pop french bakery. I've tried many things here but my favourites are the ham and cheese croissant, pain au chocolat and the Croquant- Noisette is to die for. The quiches are also very good. If you want one of the croissants, you should drop by early; I find that by around 2pm, they are usually sold out of the croissants. The ham and cheese croissant has been featured on must eat lists in Calgary before.
Waste of time
Always the most beautiful pastries! I love the croissants, so many varieties! A definite must if you’re looking for French bakery items. I have a really nice flat white made by Chef himself as well. So glad to have this bakery in my Hood!
Delicious!
If you want French pastry, this is the place to go! A little pricey but well worth it!
Was on hold for more than 10 minutes and ended up hanging up. Didn’t get my business went to another bakery instead.
Cakes are amazing.
If you want any pastry product, this is the place to go. They are the best, good quality products with very nice staff. I would totally recommend it. Also, if you want a cake, make sure you order one the day before by calling them.
Fantastic! Great food, treats and coffee's!
Ećlair de Lune is a delightful patisserie headed by the incredibly talented and kind Philippe Poncet. The cakes he creates are equal parts otherworldly and nostalgic. Understated touches of elegance and beauty seem to be a recurring theme with him and it’s a hit every time. They never scream “look at me! I’m over the top!” but I’m always drawn to them. From the tiered fruit-and-cream cake he made for a friend’s wedding to the airy, creamy dream he whipped up for Lunar New Year, I always look forward to his next masterpiece. I can’t wait for the next birthday to pop up so I can commission a cake for them (but mainly for me).
I seriously think there are some fake bad reviews on here, which is a shame. Everything I've ever eaten from here has been absolutely exceptional and delicious. Every time I've been in, it has been clean. For years I have had great service here, too. You can taste the quality of the ingredients used -- if you want cheap pastry, go to Safeway. It is an art to make macarons and croissants. Jeez... don't trust the internet, just go in for yourself and try it.
Delicious desserts and kind staff
Great little bakery. They have absolutely delicious treats here. Perfect for a little coffee date with some pastries to-go.
Excellent pastries.
Excellent cakes and bread. The owner is French, and speak Spanish too, good service.
Absolutely amazing and delicious!
Amazing pastries
great food but decor could improve
Only had the hazelnut chocolate 'cake'..really great, nice textures too! Would like to try some flaky pastry but never seems to be any, sure its just my luck tho
As much as the food is great, I had to kindly speak out about the lack of sufficient attention for its customer services. I have negative experiences when I tried to call the listed phone number but never got answered. I also have negative experiences when it comes to getting prompt service inside the cafe. Are they under-staffed or staff just could not multi-task at the most efficient level? All in all, the food is fantastic. I hope the owner can address the customer service concern from me. Otherwise, FIVE stars.
Excellent atmosphere and delectable pastries
Three times the food has been cold in the middle. I thought improperly reheating food was dangerous? Also the chicken and mushroom quiche tasted like salmon or some such fish. The latte is usually ok but this last time it was not good at all. The french music playing does not make up for this mess.
Always amazing. Lots of freezer space if you want to buy and bake things yourself. The pineapple coconut mousse cake is incredibly light and fluffy. Such a treat!
Good pastries.

Great French bakery! Delicious pastries!
A very nice French café in a nice quiet lazy inner city neighbourhood. I highly recommend it for either breakfast, lunch or a place to meet friends for coffee and authentic French pastries. All baked and made in store by French chefs. I love the baguette sandwiches, meringues, sausage rolls and crème brule. Always worth coming back to and see the new selections!
Always a good experience. Solid
Great little French bakery with a wonderful selection of sweet pastries and cakes, and even some savory items. Have tried a number of pasteries including croissants, tarts, eclairs and a passion fruit mousse cake and all have been incredibly delicious. Wish they hadn't moved out of Cambrian Heights; have not tried the new location.
Purchased several different patries and deserts, everything was perfect. So delicious.
Outdoor seating for nice weather and tasty treats
Best french pastry shop and food. Bread is great. Hot chocolate is the best
I've been going here for years. I have had similar experiences as most people who have reviewed the place. Their food is amazing, it's their service that is the sad part. The owner looks like he's ready to toss in the towel, and that's the really disappointing part because he could have a really good thing going if he got his staff under control. I love their food and their location (although the renos they did to the cafe part look like an amateur did them). I hope they get it together.
the pastries here are out of this world. if you ever have an opportunity to have an éclair de lune cake, you won’t be disappointed
Hmmmm I just love the pastry, cookies, breads everything. Is not cheap but it is worthy :-)
Been a staple in this area for years, some of the best pastry in the city
The quality of baked goods is excellent. No issues at all. I did experience 3 customer service issues, which should be addressed. I was greeted by a new customer service representative (CSR), and I began selecting my 10 items along the cooler. I had already asked for 2 pieces of 1 item, when the next customers in line (behind me) ordered 3 of that same item from the senior CSR at the till. The senior CSR came over, removed the tray, removed 3 items, delivered them to the other customers; leaving only 1 piece on the tray. I reminded the staff that I had already asked for 2 pieces, and was told that there was only 1 remaining and was asked if I wanted that one. I calmly expressed my frustration at this situation, and was initially told there was nothing that could be done. After reconfirming my concern, the senior CSR spoke with the baker, who pointed out that there was another half-tray of that product under the counter. I was given my 2 pieces. The senior CSR did not initially attempt to address my concern, and only by pushing my concern was the solution found. I would have left as a disgruntled customer if I did not push my concern. By not being proactive, the senior CSR caused an uncomfortable situation. This should have been dealt with differently and better. I then asked for 2 pieces of the next item on my list. I was told that they have not made that item for at least 2 years. I confirmed that I created my order list from their online menu. The senior CSR basically looked blankly at me, offering no response. I reminded the staff that I ordered from their (obviously outdated) online menu. The senior CSR then told me she would inform the owners. Finally, I informed the senior CSR that the address and map location on their FB Page was incorrect; still showing their previous location. Again, with no demonstrated appreciation, she told me that she would inform the owners. I did buy 10 items, and look forward to sharing them at a family gathering. I also have a lingering feeling that the service standard was not up to standard. I think some additional training for the CSRs would be helpful.
We like sweet but don't like very sweet, it is hard to find a place to meet our expectation, I tried many bakeries and today finally found one, the cake we tried is really tasty, silky and not too sweet, absolutely like it !
Frickin wicked pastries and such
You won't be disappointed! Everything here is delicious, whether sweet or savoury. It's exactly what you'd expect of a true French bakery. We're lucky to have them in Calgary!
Amazing place! There food is great and the people there are really nice!
One of the best french bakery in city and best almond croissant in the city
Great quality food , friendly and efficient service.
Way too expensive for the size of the dessert and selection was not great. The actual store itself was not welcoming and staff was not friendly. Cake was delicious though
So so so good.
All the cakes are looks delicious, never come out with only one piece, my family birthday cake is all come from here
Wonderful pastries, always a delight to stop by.
Fresh fluffy pastries and lots of selection!
Great French pastries, all my family loved it! Highly recommended!
The seeets and frozen foods are so delicious! There was a large variety of desserts to chose from and each one was so unique and flavorful. I cant wait to drop in again and get few!
Fantastic little bakery. I generally go in knowing that my order will be wrong and the service will be frantic but inefficient. The frustration goes away shortly after eating whatever has been provided.
Great pastry, very charming little coffee shop.
Excellent quality, pricey but good
Authentic patisserie, love this place.
Got an tiramisu for an emergency birthday cake. Looks very nice and tastes amazing! The owner is very nice and patient too.
Some of the tastiest desserts in the city.
I've only been here once so I only tried the ice americano and a napoleon but both were really good. It wasn't too sweet, which I like. It's a small place with 3 tables outside on sidewalk. They had a frozen section too in the back but didn't really see what they had for sale. I would definitely come back here.
They have great and creative bakery items, worth visiting.
One of the best pastry in town .
Always friendly service, fabulous baked goods, desserts and love, love, love that I can support an amazing local small business byy purchasing some of my veggies and other grocery needs here. Best French cafe in town!
Top quality Parisian delights!! Everything I've ever had from here has been so.authentic and delicious.
Chef made a vegetarian sandwich just for me. Great bread.
Definitely has some of the best pastries and French bread! Very well priced as well.
Local bakery!! They have an interesting mix of pastries, but no muffins or cupcakes when I was there. I got an apple strudel, which was scrumptious and not too sweet like grocery store strudels. You pay for that home-made taste so it's a bit expensive if you buy multiple items. The store itself is clean, but in the middle of renovations. Coffee items are also sold here!
Awesome service and Tasty treats for all events !
long wait Sunday mornings
Very tasty, but they take forever. I don't have all day to wait for a sausage roll and a chocolate mousse. They've got the baking down, but they really need to improve the front of house.
Got an amazing chocolate mousse cake here.
Real French
A perfect French pastry shop...
Tucked in an unassuming place, this is a hidden gem for pastry lovers. The only issue is that the selection is not consistent, sometimes a lot of varieties, but other times few options.
Lovely premises and good beers, great atmosphere.
The coffee is nothing special. For those who love high quality pastries though, this is THE place. The prices may seem a bit higher than average but the "craftsmanship" of the items offered is superb. Sweets connoiseours will be pleased. :)
Best French pastry
Nice little cafe
Been to their new location a few times already. It’s beautiful, bright and spacious. Great place to have dessert and coffee and just hang out. Their desserts, sandwiches, and pastries are all amazing! Can tell they use quality ingredients and put their love into the creations. Highly recommend!!
This place is hidden gem, your little French pastry stop. little overpriced but delicious and always fresh. Frozen selection is great.
Amazing, hidden ????. Their pastry very European - taste really good. The only recommendation if u can at least greet customers who walk in... The guy I’m assuming (owner) was really mad did not even say hi.
Everything I've ever tried from Éclair de Lune has been INCREDIBLE! My favourite is their raspberry mousse cake! Cookies, sandwiches, merengues, eclairs, cakes - everything worth to try!
Excellent pastries at a reasonable price.
Sandwiches I had was good but the selection was a little on the down side so probably better during the week instead of on the Saturday
The only place in Calgary that I will treat myself to when I’m craving a deliciously fresh, flaky croissant or any other French treat. I highly recommend the eclairs of course! Outstanding. We’ve ordered several cakes as well. We are never disappointed and are always delighted!
The macarons were heavenly and the the croissants were on point! Support local, especially quality places like this one!
Napoleon was the best in the city
They have beautiful and delicious fine pastries. I like the macaroons, tiramisu, and the cakes here.
Go to spot! Desserts are delicious. You can eat a lot without feeling guilty. Their eclairs are my favourite!
The best French patisserie on Calgary
Loved the taste and texture of the desserts! Will come back soon
Mmm...salmon quiche
Yummy
Tasty French pastries with varieties.
Wide variety of sweet and savory pastries and desserts! Delicious frozen croissants, easy to heat up :)
finest
We came here on recommendation from our AirBnB hosts. There are so many delicious options to choose from! We had cafe du lait with bread & butter pudding and vanilla slice.
Frankly, I've traveled a lot in Europe and this hometown bakery remains one of the best places for cakes and pastries! They are so much closer to me now so it's kind of dangerous for my overall diet haha
Happened to drive by and noticed this bakery so we decided to check it out. The pastries and baking was excellent and we've made this a spot we return to each month.
Great bakery! Food tastes amazing but prices a little too high
Their strawberry short cake is the best I ever ate, they used real dairy cream for their cakes, and cakes & pastries not too sweet. Prices are reasonable for the quality.
Omg omg omg!!!!! Just go
As a French embarked on my never ending quest for French desserts, or just good desserts, I gave Eclair de lune a few tries but have always come very disappointed. I just do not like their desserts: be it the taste or texture, this is just not good.
A hidden gem! Excellent pastries. Not too sweet for my taste with a European touch. The cream puffs are smooth and highly recommended. Their passion fruit moose cake is a must for all occasions. My only go to place for great pastries.
Great French backed goods, need I say more
Amazing coffee and pastries! And it's a super place to get some work done.
Nice place for having cakes. Tried one of their cakes and it taste wonderful. Will definitely recommend.
My favorite place for French pastries.
A bit dirty and understaffed, but coffee and pastry was great.
Always amazing. The quiches are also great. The cakes are excellent. One of the things I particularly like is the fact that the desserts are not to sweet.
Very high quality desserts and pastries
Been there once. We enjoyed all what we had. We had different varieties and all were delicious and nicely made. Will sure come again!
This used to be my favourite place 5 years customer. I rate the current customer service experience as very bad. Ordered bush cake for a special friend dinner on 26th. On the pick up day the lady didn’t have my order ready and had no idea about it.I showed her my receipt she told me nothing she can do for me with our caring or putting effort to help me, I requested to talk to the owner she said that he was on vacation but if I leave my phone number he will call me today is 4 days later I decided to call. When I called I talk to the owner and he offered either remboursement or take a cake which I end up taking. I am very disappointed with experience after long time customer there was lot of mistakes that been corrected but this time is unacceptable. Will never go back
Layout is confusing, not really set up for retail. Felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. Waited several minutes at the counter to be served. Food was good.
The eclairs were heavenly. The quiche was amazing. Loved the cinnamon buns
Food is always excellent
This bakery was hidden gem that we found just by chance on weekend trip to Calgary. The croissants were delicious with the perfect amount of crispiness on the outside and buttery flakiness on the inside. My husband and I enjoyed two sweet croissants (almond and pain au chocolat) with our hot drinks. But because it was so tasty I bought a dozen more (mix of both sweet and savoury) to bring back and share with relatives we were staying with over the weekend. They throughly enjoyed the pastries as well. I wish I could’ve tried more of the other lunch items or desserts like the quiche or creme brûlée but it was just quick stopover for a light snack as we already had plans for a late lunch in the afternoon. Maybe next time when we visit Calgary again!
My go to place for French pastries. They have really good savoury foods as well.
Such a great place to come on a cold wintery day for those days where you just want to sit and relax or in the summer and sit on the chairs outside. The place is full of beautiful creations and would definitely recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth or for something that is looking for something different.
Love the vibe and service here. Bought half dozen Danish here and they were uniquely good (and definitely way better than supermarket or tim horton bought ones). The custard and fruit/nut mix works very well together along with the flaky pastry. Many options of baked goods to choose here at good prices. The place is just a little tucked away.
Fresh and delicious!
Definitely among the top 5 best pastry shops in town! Their creme brulee is masterful with the sugar coating caramelized to order (offering this simple gesture speaks volumes to the chef's integrity and care for his craft and customers). They make a classic éclair with a flavorful and proper vanilla custard filling (no whipped cream here!). Their croissants are flawless; light and buttery with the most delicate crust. Their tartelettes are simply amazing...so much flavor in them damn little cookies and baked perfectly! The tiramisu is exceptional, however, I'm a little greedy and would've liked just a tad more savoiardi. The chefs here are seriously talented. No gimmicky offerings, just the classics prepared at the highest level. My first time trying their desserts was at the Farmer's Market on Blackfoot Trail where they run a small booth. Thankfully, they have a brick and mortar place where I can get my fix during the week! I'm still waiting to try one of their traditional fruit tarts with the vanilla custard...may have to just request it. When their cafe opens up next door, I'll be able to enjoy a proper cup of joe with my desserts! UPDATE...I normally just review the food but the customer service here deserves praise...I've been here 3x in the last week hoping to find their fruit tarts for sale but to no avail...so I called in for a request and they were able to make them within the HOUR...now THAT'S customer service for ya!!!
Perfect for hi-tea!
slightly expensive but well worth every penny!
Like a European Boulangerie ....authentic
Once you step in the store, you will smell the France :) It's not that spacious in the bakery side but they offer an additional space next to the bakery for people to sit down where they sell coffee and other stuff as well. I purchased a passion fruits coconut cake (don't remember exact name for it) to bring to a party that I was invited and everyone loved it. Want to go back again to try some other stuff soon.
We loved that there was more than enough seating for everyone there on a Sunday morning, and that we had such a hard time choosing from the pastry selection.
I never enjoyed a pastry until I tried this place.
(Translated) It is tasting that each time I visit or I call they never light up ... they will have to change their name. It's disappointing every time I call or visit they don't have ANY éclaire's they should consider changing their name. (Original) C'est dégustant que chaque fois je visite ou j'appelle ils ont jamais des éclaire... ils devront changer leur nom. Wow, just wow totally decadent desserts and delicious savory eats as well, worth waiting for the slow service.
Beautiful pastries. Too many delicious savory and sweet pastries, but so little funds and time.
My favourite bakery. The Lemon Merengue is the best, if you like rich and strong Lemon.
Pretty good, could be more consistent.
Lot's of great options for your sweet tooth. The tiramisu and Napoleon are awesome.
Really good.
I had a chocolate and pear danish, and a sausage roll. Both were very tasty, I will be going back.
Our regular spot for eclairs! They will be moving closer to master meats at the end of the month! Look for updated address!
Great pastry and nice friendly owner
Amazing desserts, friendly staff
Decadent and delightful. So many options it’s really hard to choose! Pastries, cakes, macaroons, croissants, etc. In the end made a choice, but it was hard!
Love this place and I go there frequently. Pastries are delicious and authentically French. The selection usually varies a bit, but the standard are always there. They make got coffee and really good sandwiches in the café as well. Service has always been really good for me.
Super good place. They're moving soon not too far away
(Translated) I am French expatried in Calgary! Trust me this place is a piece of France. Try chocolatine or pastries you will love these! Thank you for this treat, Mr. Baker! (Original) I am French expatried in Calgary! Trust me this place is a piece of France. Try chocolatine or pastries you will love these! Merci pour ce régal monsieur le boulanger!
Always good!
worst Coffee I had for a long time ! sorry but its also overpriced for pastry
Great pastry place. Call in or drop by, you won't regret it.
Great selection of authentic French pastries for takeout or eating in.
Absolutely amazing food. The new location is very modern and owner Philippe is always there greeting us with a smile. Highly recommend.
Amazing food! I love this place. It could be a bit more organized at times. Also, overall cleaningnes could be better.
Was gonna go to Timmies, but ended up walking across the street to this place. Best decision to start my saturday.
Great selection of pastries and cookies and croissants
Love this place. Closest you will get to a Paris bakery in Calgary. Montreal smoked meat buns are my favorite.
Favourite dessert cafe in town.
I'm in love! With the food of course. The macaron were tender and delicious.
Out of this world pastries and croissants
This is a little hidden gem in the NW serving decadent french pastries and cakes. Have bought several cakes here and have never been disappointed. Not the cheapest place but the quality is exceptional.
Really good pastries. Highly recommend
Coffee-great! Sandwich- great accept she didn't warm it or ask. Service ???????????????????????????????? younger girl hair frazzled looked like she just rolled out of bed. Talked so low I couldn't understand anything she said. Didn't say good morning, no eye contact. She did throw in a have a nice day at the end as she walked away from me.
Birthday cake was amazing! Thanks again!
They have a great selection of baked goods, they also have a cafe attached with a decent amount of space where you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Along with indoor seating they also put a few tables outside when the weather is nice. My favourite is their fresh fruit cheesecake, it has a pretzel like bottom so if you like sweet and salty desserts definitely try it.
The boston cream eclair is really really good. I think thats exactly where they shine. Super friendly owner I might add.
Just discovered this place. Amazing local pastry shop!!
Very fine pastries, providing excellent value. I recommend the mushroom filled pastries.
Someone needs to teach the grumpy staff here to put lids on coffee properly! Both my son and I burnt ourselves because the kids on Coffee were not put on properly. I will never return.
High end style bakery with high end prices. Ingredients are good quality. Very limited options there. I wish they had more options available for pastries.
Pastry and anything baked is fantastic. But the coffee, unless made by the chef himself, is horrible. This is not an isolated incident of poor experience. I have gone there a quite a few times and have been served a "coffee based beverage" that is not even remotely what it was supposed to be. When there are 3 drink options available one would think that it should be fairly easy to produce a quality variation of these consistently and with ease. But not the case. Au revoir.
Amazing cakes! My mom was really happy to see these cakes on her birthday.
Wonderful!
Excellent French style bakery.
You have the feeling of a nice café in France. The pastries are yummy and fresh! The Crepes give you that nostalgic feeling. They are a bit pricier but if you want authentic pastries with great customer service you will have to pay a bit more.
YUM! Worth making a special trip.
We got a selection of desserts for a Thanksgiving dessert platter and all were delicious! Tarte tatin, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, a cherry mouse slice that was gluten free, as was a Neapolitan mouse cup, a lemon meringue pie, a chocolate mouse and cake thing that’s hard to describe but was my daughter’s favourite. They were the perfect size to cut up so everyone could have a sample of a few things but would be a perfect individual portion on their own. Service was very friendly and helpful, plus patient while I hummed and hawed trying to decide.
My go too bakery. Love the Sausage rolls and croissants.
Amazing pastries...just like a European bakery. And good coffee, too.
I love this place. Small, authentic and delicious. I am a repeat customer and usually take my food and treats to go but have also eaten in a few times. Both are great experiences. I have not had a single item here that I haven't loved. The desserts are the perfect sweetness - sweet enough to be a treat but not too much.

Great chocolate cake. Very good selection of desert. Friendly staff.
Fantastic pastries. Service is a little lacking, but great place to grab something to take home.
The pastries are the best! The Owner is a French pastry chef and his deserts are Amazing!
Saw this little hidden gem many times and didn't stop to check it out until today. Wow. It was so good. We tried the chocolate/vanilla-Almond cake and the strawberry short cake. Both were very very good. We also tried the sausage roll and definitely very different from anywhere else I've had. Real sausage and not the ground up stuff and not greasy. It was very good. We ordered coffee and he made it fresh! Ground up the beans himself. Be patient if it's busy, it is worth the wait!they are moving from their current spot by the end of this month August.
Just yum. So tasty
I got a Turkey swiss sandwich for lunch today. It was amazing. I well be back.
Honestly would’t go back.as the fruit tart had a weird texture and the some pastry not fresh.it was pretty disappointing overall.
americano was terrible
Always excellant
Stopped in here after I came out of the butchers that is next door. The contents of pastry case display in this place is gorgeous and delicious to the eye and even more so when you bite into anyone of the pastries and desserts. Go here, try anything - you won’t be disappointed
Was an original customer, sadly I now live about as far away as I could be. This place fed me for years. Original French Chef, with countless chefs in training, all bringing their own gifts to the place. Can't say enough good things about this place. Do it just go ahead and do it!!
Oh my god. First time here and it was amazing. Best sausage roll I've ever tasted. The pastry was amazing as well.
Some absolutely slam drink items such as the cakes. Good throughout the lineup but some disappointments considering the hype. Pastries and croissants have great filling, bread is flaky and soft but not the best I've tried in the city.
Love this bakery. Croissants to die for - get there early as they sell out. Excellent coffee. Highly recommend this local business.
The best croissants in town!!!
I just love this little hidden gem ! They have some of the most beautiful pastries and desserts...as well as my favourite breakfast item-fresh baked quiche. Definitely a must-visit.
Fabulous pasteries. They look like works of art and taste even better. This is my go to place for decadent desserts.
This place is SO good. Great selection of pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies, etc.. as well as a little cafe area. They also have a selection of frozen goodies you can bake at home
Please for the love of god, treat yourself and enjoy pastry the way it was intended.
My favourite bakery!! Every item amazes me and I love the new location. I use to go to the school near the old location so it was always nice to visit, but now the new location is even closer!! My favourite thing is the lemon tart and hazelnut cake :)
I'd give them 10 stars if I could. It is THAT good. Been coming here for a few years and I'm glad the food has always been consistent. Keep up the good work!
Not the greatest....needs improvement.
Made our first visit here last week, and we were impressed. Too often French bakeries make pretty stuff, but the taste is lacking. Not here - these pastries were delicious and the presentation beautiful. We will definitely stop again when we are in this part of town.
My favorite place for cakes. Everything I tried was amazing!
Ordered numerous times over the last few months on Door Dash and every order has been canceled by Eclair De Lune. Never once have they reached out at all, let alone to say what was out of stock or if I'd like a replacement. They need to revise their menu to what is actually available because if they cancel our orders we don't get money back for 5-7 days!
Overcharged us for our order. They made terrible birthday cake in my son's birthday. Disgusting service, so disappointment.
Although I really enjoyed the taste of their desserts, my recent bad experience made me not wanting to go back again. I ordered a birthday cake for my mother in lieu of my daughter. So I asked the message to be displayed on the cake as "Happy birthday Grandma" When we got home and opened the cake, the message was "Happy birthday Grandpa". Because my mother recently divorced my father, the mistake was actually quite upsetting to my mother. So on my next visit, I complained to the store owner about the incidence. The store owner treated it very lightly and gave me a most insincere apology I would expect. They might be in good business and had the option of not valuing their customers' comments. But I could always choose a different bakery. Adieu!
Everything I've had has been SO good! A great place to treat yo' self :)
Always delicious!
I've been to France. Europe in general has amazing baked goods. You can tell a French bakery by their croissants. A croissant should flake, be crispy, have visible layers as it pulls apart and a strong butter taste. It was very disappointing to bite into a dense bun like pastry. You can also tell they do not use cultured 82% European butter. For real French baked goods checkout Yann Haute Patisserie.
Fantastic little french bakery. Loved the danish, and after my first visit I want to try it all.
This guy sure can whip up some awesome food! Great sandwiches, beautiful pastries, and comfortable atmosphere. Big fan!
Although the mango mousse cake is a bit pricey at $40, it's pretty good. :) It has relocated from its Northmount location.
Bakeries like this are a dime a dozen in Calgary, the selection of croissants we had were uninspired and lacked filling. Personally, I would suggest saving yourself a trip to this industrial part of town and head to Blacksheep on 17th if you're looking for a good croissant.
My favorite bakery in Calgary! Been coming here for over 10 years to get their quiche and fruit tarts.
One of my favourite places to grab cake! I love places that offer individual slices because I like being able to try a few different flavours at a time. The strawberry vanilla fraisier is so far my top recommendation, followed by their napoleon and lemon meringue tart. I do find the chocolate varieties to be a little too rich. Their new location is smaller than their old shop, but I've noticed that they have more cakes available during the day than before. I look forward to trying out more flavours!
maybe discount dry day-old croissants? People can tell when things are fresh. Most bakeries advertise and discount day olds. I had an amazing croissant here a year ago, and today had a dry crumbly old croissant. Same price for both. What’s the deal?
Eclair de Lune used to be one of my favorite pastry shop. I purchased their strawberry short cake for myself and my wife. My expectation was soft cake sheet with fresh strawberry and cream. However, it looked like pieces of cake were almost left in the shelf for at least 3 days, which was quite disappointing. Cake sheet was never soft, strawberry in the cake looked old and cream was hardened. After couple bite, I had to throw away because the those cakes should've never been sold with this quality. I don't think I can re-visit this shop or even recommend it to any of friend. Very disappointing experience with Eclair de Lune as it was my favorite.
Nice and quiet. The food is pretty good.
Baker is very rude. Went to pick up my cake order today and the customer ahead of me had ordered the same cake and requested words be written on the cake. When it was my turn I asked if he would do the same for me and he rolled his eyes and said he was too busy. I was shocked and he attempted a "back peddle" and said he would do it if I still wanted it, at that point, the damage had been done and I just wanted to leave. Very poor layout to pay as well, I stood there with debit card in hand wanting to pay and he just walked away and I had to go find someone to deal with my transaction. If you are going to run a business, you should be nicer to your customers if you want them to come back, which I will NOT.
If I could give 6 or 7 stars, I would! A little over a week ago, we ordered a cake from Èclaire de Lune last minute for our father's 60th birthday. We were trying to find the perfect cake for this big, momentous occasion for our diabetic father; something beautiful, diabetic friendly, yet still tasty, not compromising on flavour due to less sugar. Most bakeries could not accommodate this request but we settled and compromised on 2nd choice cake due to the recipe and time constraints. We ended up with a special surprise & got our 1st choice cake! It turned out wonderful, the cake was so delicious & gorgeous, with the right amount of sweetness. They went the extra mile by taking the time, effort and care to fulfill our requests as well as exceed our expectations!!
Best pastries in town, hands down. If it's your first time, try an apricotier, cherry and cream cheese strudel or noisette-croquant cake. They also make amazing cakes for special occasions, like the strawberry shortcake.
Very delicious. Just a bit hard to get there, but still their business is always busy.
AWESOME THANKS ????my husband and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place friendly people and the food is soooooooo delicious every body should check this place out YUM YUM
This is the desert place for me in Calgary. Everything is so delicious and reasonably priced, owner is a well respected business person who personally works in the kitchen, his creation over the years never stop to amaze me.
So darn good!!
Family business, great service, very friendly. The kids loves the Eclairs and we loved the Napoleon. croissant are always fresh and great as snack or for quick breakfast.
Best baked goods in Calgary. Sandwiches are wonderful.
The lemon tart is amazing as is everything else I’ve tried.
Best coffee and pastries in town.
WOW ! Such a great place with very delicious pastries! To the owner : Please keep it up that way! Cheers!
If you haven't tried the croissants here, you NEED too! They are to die for, so flaky, light and crisp! One of the best, if not the best, in the city. They have lots of other tasty treats too.
WOW! " Montreal French Pastries to dream about, melt in your mouth "GOOD"!
Always a great experience! Probably the best take and bake Cinnamon buns in the city! If you love French pastry done right you need to check out !
Ok French pastry ... Would like to see a lot more options - Bit over priced though
Great pastry
Petty busy but for a reason
(Translated) Horrible, when you say "professional" and spend your time criticizing Superstore and others for their cakes, we take the time to apologize when the customer does not appreciate that you did anything with his order. You just charge for the name .... it's not what you eat. Superstore and others will take the time to listen to you, to apologize, not to give you two nice comments.
It is a great french place. the hot chocolate is awesome and the pastries, and cakes are to die for.
excellent starting
Would have been nice to have been servers walked in waited 10 min while the owners argued with each walked out food looks good to bad owners to busy fighting to serve customers
A little disappointed. Everything looks amazing but the taste is very lacking. And not worth the price.
Excellent Service, I called to order a cake on Friday for my dads birthday and they had it ready in less than 48 hours. It was very short notice and the owner said he would make it work or provide a solution. Great customer service and a excellent cake too. Will be back for sure guaranteed. Thank you
The presentation is great but the taste is lacking to say the very least. A little bit disappointed since they look so good!
Always good coffee and exceptional food.
This French bakery is a gem in Greenview Industrial Park! I haven't tried their bread or Danish pastries so I can't comment on that, but my go-to items are Opera cake, Saint Marc, and raspberry crème brûlée. They are all divine. Added bonus, these delights are gluten-free. The bakery is clean and tidy. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes you can wait a bit in line for service, but it's still worth it for me. Their previous location was closer to my house, but I need my Opera cake slice so I'm still willing to drive a little further to get my fix!
Wonderful artisan products...!!
Delicious coffee, delicious treats, delicious savoury snacks!
Favourite place for yummy pastries !!
This place is a hidden gem! Honestly some of the best desserts and pastries in town. Try to make it there early
I love the pastries and croissants. The frozen bake-at-home croissants are excellent too. This past weekend we had a baby shower and ordered a large chocolate ganache cake with custom decorations - it was delicious and done exactly how we wanted.
Best eclaire in the city.
Drove out to the new location because I’ve always enjoyed their pastries. I purchase about $20 worth of items and before I pay I reach over the counter to get a free sample. The employee promptly says to me “only take one”. There’s literally no one else in the store, it’s 2pm and the plate was full of tiny sized samples. And I wasn’t even planning on taking more than one but thanks for that assumption. I will not be returning for quite some time.
Delicious! Amazing! Worth every penny and every second of waiting and spelling mistakes! It's obvious that their passion is in every pastry!
And they let me practice my French!
This is a great little bakery with delicious desserts and yummy pastries.
It hard to find nice bakery and coffee shops in Calgary, but Éclaire de Lune does not disappoint. They have amazing pastries. Their pastry dough is super fluffy, not too greasy and still has the soft bits in the inside. I have been here a few times and they do not disappoint. They also have fair prices and you can get a French baguette for under 3 dollars!
Yumm!!
Venue was cold but the pastries were delicious
Omg fantastic desserts!!!! Only have pic for their breakfast but desserts r must try!!! To check out more food/places in Calgary search #foodvity on Instagram.
Such a treat to stop by this place in my neighborhood. Rich delicious coffee. Yummy cheese filled pastries.
Lovely ham and cheese croissant. They heated up for me and I ate it right there. Tasted so fresh and delicious!
Very nice coffee. The cafe is being remodeled so there are some scruffy bits. The pastry is really good.
This dessert place is permanently closed now. ????????
Poor service dont have eclairs dont even care they dont have eclairs
Real pastries made the right way You can't buy these at Safeway or coop.
Good assortment of baked goods
Wonderful little bakery, also have some delicious savory treats!
Everything is wonderful. Love this place.
Always amazing. I'm never disappointed. Flavours are good and not overly sweet. Prices are better or comparable to other bakeries.
Moving end of August 2019 to 4127 6th Street NE Pro: Friendly service with a smile. Con: Run out of some items that you might enjoy. ????
I usually purchase chocolates and cookies from Costco to give out at Christmas but decided to use Eclair de Lune instead. They made up 15 gift boxes full of delicious baking with gift cards and ribbon and I couldn't be happier! What an incredible way to spoil my neighbors and friends all while supporting a kickass local business! Thanks again!
Beautiful pastries. The flavour and quality surpasses the beauty! This business is a real gem.
Awesome Service
By far the best French pastries in the city. Only ones as good were the pastries in France.
This place is a gem! Their french onion soup (when they have it) is to die for!
Lovely atmosphere, small family business with amazing pastries and coffee. I had the St.Marc, a chocolate, vanilla and caramel mousse, with a creme brulee top. My boyfriend had the baked cheesecake. Both were impeccable. Service is available en franciase aussi! Great trip, great date spot too.
We had the Croque Monsieur, and it had been microwaved (It was still cold inside), service is Ok, but the restaurant is somewhat dirty. For the price, the value could be better.
Awesome pastries
Disgusting!!! just saw how the asian looking employee in the kitchen while decorating more than a couple cakes, dipped her index finger in the whipped cream then LICKED her finger clean and picks up the strawberries with the same finger to put on the strawberry shortcake and kept doing that repeatedly without washing her hands is pretty much like spitting on the cakes. Call me overly hygienic, but for one, there is always the possibility of food contamination. And then—if you become aware of it—there is the “yuk!” factor. Northmount dr location
Great French pastries!
so i called a night before they closed to reserve a strawberry shortcake for my fiances birthday.. but this guy asked me to call first thing in the morning and they could help me out.. that was all fine until the next morning they wont even answer my calls. i tried calling throughout the day and i live on the opposite side of town so i cant just go whenever i want to.... the cake here is amazing but really really absolutely disgusted with this experience.
Just WOW. Fantastic. Highly recommend visiting.
One of the best French boulangeries in Calgary.
Wonderful french pastries and treats. Fantastic place to sit down for a snack and a coffee. Apparently moving to a new location soon, so I'll be sure to check out the new place.
Bought 2 of these.... child ate the other. I'm really hoping the plastic was only in the one I ate. Yes, these things can happen, nevertheless still pretty disgusted, definitely not going back.
Always amazing! Their custom cakes are some of the best I've tasted. I love the warmth and the atmosphere of this place as well. Always my go-to bakery!
