Amazing banana cake... Pricy but totally worth it once in a while. Got it for my mom's bday and everyone at the party loved it. They even wrote happy birthday in Spanish as I specified and looked very nice . Definitely recommend the banana cake with chocolate ganache on top! It's a shame they are small cause everyone would have had more of it, if that was an option.

OMG, the vegan chocolate torte, is not only gorgeous but amazingly delicious. If you ever had the vegan chocolate torte from The Coup (which they decided to discontinue) this is like easily 3 x better.

If you're a local, and don't now this place, you really should check it out. This is definitely a valuable hidden gem in Calgary. If you're looking for the right amount of sugar, and fresh daily baked bread, this is also your stop. They have a very cute sitting area which allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee or two with a close friend. This is small delicate shop, don't bring your laptop and camp here, please.

I just ate the most amazing coconut cake from Decadent Brulee which I will dream about for a very long time (or until tomorrow when I go buy another slice.) Very quaint, clean, upscale quality with a down-to-earth warmth. Excellent customer service. The only problem is their working hours are very short and I would love for them to be available at all hours of the day. Or maybe I would not like that. I highly recommend.

I go to Brulee Bakery regularly and I can't say enough good things about it. Their croissant are probably the best in Calgary (if you like rich, heavy croissant) and you can not go wrong with any of the pastries they create! I just picked up an order of hot cross buns for easter, and they are the best I have ever tasted. I strongly recommend this place!

Found this place walking down the street and suddenly stopped in place, like a cartoon character with a cloud of 'cinnamon sugar' wafting towards them. The cakes here are brilliant. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Chocolate Ganache is a family fave.

So these are simply the best cakes in the world, I've tried a couple over the years, and they are all excellent, the height of decadence. I am a great baker, but I can't really achieve the kind of perfection Brulee can. All my experiences with them have been positive and great. Excellent service and excellent cakes. If you can, order ahead.

The chocolate raspberry ganache cake is perfectly moist, with the perfect density, the perfect sweetness (ie, not too sweet), the perfect balance of raspberry chocolate filling and topped with a beautiful dark chocolate ganache. For me, this is the best chocolate cake I've ever had and I go back for it almost every year.

The quality of their cakes is NOT what it used to be... This past weekend we (dinner party with 10 people) had their lemon strawberry?/raspberry? (the flavour wasn't strong enough to tell for sure) cake: we were all VERY underwhelmed... and no one ate their icing (it's like unflavoured lard and tastes disgusting).

Tasty cake with great customer service. Even though I gave them a short notice for the cake order, they made beautiful cake that my girlfriend loved. Very fast, considering some cake shops take weeks. Small beautiful cake with coconut flavour was great - it was a bit sugary - but that's what desserts do. Price was not bad at all at $55. Reading all the exaggerated reviews about the price, I thought it would be somewhere in the $80 area haha. Thank you for the wonderful cake.

I stumbled upon this place by accident and was thrilled to find out this was somewhat of a reinvention of Decadent Desserts , a place on 1st by 8th avenue mall that i had inhabited long ago mid 80,s Excellent selection of all things delicous that i have no business eating but couldnt not try . The lemon slice was delicous as was the chocalate raspberry slice . Ten minutes before closing they even gave me a cookie for free ...

Ordered my grandmother's 90th birthday cake from here since she wanted something light and without a bunch of "oily buttercream". We opted for the lemon cream cake and it was perfect! It had a delicate lemon flavour and the light cream went great with it. The exterior had crushed meringue that was so soft and added a bit of texture. The fresh flower topping was great as well but they can't guarantee exact colours if you have a colour scheme in mind for your event. Enjoyed the cake overall but since the price point is a bit higher than other bakeries I think we'll reserve Decadent Brulee for very special occasions.

My parents both got 60th birthday cakes from Brulee, and they were awesome. Not only tasty, but also very nicely decorated, with hand-drawn icing/glaze designs we provided. They went the extra mile to make the cakes awesome!

I am completely agree with Vanessa Mara on her review on this bakery. It seems like people in Calgary are willing to pay for overpriced cakes. I simply don't understand the hype?? Is it the name? I bought a small cake for $50, the cake was not spectacular nor did it meet any expectations of my employees at my office. I used to live in Europe, so I know what a yummy cake should taste like. I will never go back to this establishment nor will I recommended to my friends or colleagues. People should be more honest when posting reviews online.

You must try the coconut cake! And while social distancing, we opted for filled cupcakes and were not disappointed! I appreciated that they helped me out last minute too - excellent service! The chocolate cupcakes are also great. I rarely leave the shop without the salted chocolate shortbread cookies - so good (and typically I don’t care for shortbread). Thanks again!

I ordered the raspberry white chocolate cake for my sister's birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The flavour was spot on the decoration was beautiful. The staff was super nice and accommodating and able to make the cake with 2 days notice. I have ordered from decadent brûlée a couple of times and I will certainly be ordering from them again.

Good Afternoon, I just called Decadent Brulee to possibly put in an order for Crème Brulee for an event I am hosting at the end of the month. Whomever answered your business phone could take a lesson in manners and people skills. Not only did she answer the phone ‘hello’ which I thought was odd (I thought I had the wrong number) but after telling me you don’t sell brulee and I said ‘ok that’s no problem, do you happen to do mini tiramisu cakes?’ she hung up. Also might I ask why you are called Decadent Brulee if you do nothing of the sort? Just thought I’d bring my phone call to you attention. It says right on your website that you can do custom orders so do you just not have any crème brulee available to pick up right now? Or you just don’t do it at all? I emailed them and got no response. Will NEVER use this bakery based on their terrible customer service

This place has gone downhill since Decadent Dessert bought Brûlée. I bought a sugar cookie today which was an original recipe Brûlée. It was half the size that Brûlée used to make and stale. Almost broke my teeth is was so hard. Their Friday cinnamon rolls were another Brûlée favourite of mine. Not any longer. Immediately shrunk in size (although the price did not), and not as tasty either. Extremely disappointed in Decadent Brûlée. I do not recommend this place.

This review is long overdue! Our wedding cake was from Brulee and they provided the best customer service and a cake that was delicious and beautiful!!! We needed a cake to feed 600 guests and they came through with flying colours!!! I cannot recommend this bakery enough!

Safeway makes better cakes at a fraction of the cost. I felt like I was eating an old pound cake with a stick of butter. I had high hopes for such an expensive cake but it fell flat. Not interested in trying anything else after this experience.

Ordered a cake for my wifes birthday, they said it was made incorrectly but was still fine. Took it home and the cake actually just didnt taste good, extremely bitter. I dont know if a new employee made the cake, extrememly disappointed had to go to sobeys for a new cake. This has been our place for birthday cakes for a while but i think it has gone down hill. Will be finding a new place 80$ for a cake, expect a little more.

Totally hidden gem in the Beltline area. I was on my way to Leela Eco Spa next door when I saw the sign. It's down the stairs and it was worth the detour. The amandine plum tart was one of the best things I've had at any bakery in Calgary to date. The raspberry brownie was also outstanding. Perfect true brownie... Also, they were handing out mini coconut cake cupcake samples so you can't go wrong there. Definitely worth a trip if you love quality pastries, obviously made with love and fine ingredients. For sure, it's a little pricier but you get what you pay for. The good stuff!

i'm so shocked someone was able to give Decadent Brulee a single star! I would give them 10 gold stars! We hosted a +120 person party and the platters we ordered were so beautifully presented (the picture below the tray had been enjoyed prior to the photo so excuse the tempation) Every person i spoke with who had tried something have nothing but amazing things to say about the desserts! Since that night i have dreams of cheesecake brownies and raspberry blondies, they were PERFECT! i never walk or drive past Decadent Brulee with out makiing a pit stop for one of the two or even better BOTH! The staff is amazing each and every one of them, Great work to the stafff!

I don't really know how everyone else here likes the cakes at this place. I ordered the white chocolate raspberry cake for my parents 25th wedding anniversary and this was probably one of the worse cakes we have tried. The inside had an okay raspberry filling but also another cream which tasted like lemon. The top part was covered with white cream almost like butter and nothing at all like white chocolate. The cake also didn't taste fresh but more like 3 days old. The white cream all around the cake cracked when you cut into the cake or dug your spoon into a slice of cake. Very disappointed with this place and cake. I also tried the baci cookie which was amazing and white chocolate raspberry blonde which was also amazing. So I had high expectations for the cake and would never had imagined to be disappointed and taste this horrible. Maybe it was just a bad cake and we got unlucky. In any case won't be coming back for cakes ever again especially for the price. Not at all worth it. This cake tastes more like a $15 cake not a $50 cake. Beautiful cakes yes but horrible in taste. Friendly staff just too bad the cakes weren't what I had thought would be.

I really love this place. It is one of the places I visited in Calgary, and I absolutely love her chocolate cheesecake--it was not too sweet or sour, and it was wonderfully creamy with a soft texture--I never wanted the goodness to end. I also got a lemon cake there and that was also phenomenal--I would come back here again for sure. The owner was also really accommodating with letting us know other dessert places to visit and cooking classes nearby! It's a great place to try! At the very least, the cheesecake!! YUM!!

I'm so sorry to say such a beautiful looking cake was awful. We had to throw out the remaining cake. My family surprised me with a birthday cake on the weekend. The icing taste like raw lard! no joke! We tried to scoop the insides out to avoid the icing. We had the raspberry/lemom. Hope they make some adjustments, becasue the cakes are very beautiful to look at!
