Love this place. They absolutely have the best baked goods in the city! Fantastic and interesting croissants and other pastries. Their baguette and other breads are also fantastic! The couple that own own this place are also extremely friendly and they use local coffee that is really good! Could not ask for a better place to be so close by. It's a bit hard to notice from the street so I hope that you'll check this place out ASAP!

We've tried lots of breads but this is by far the best bread in the city! We absolutely love their black rye bread and can't wait to try everything else they have there. There's always a long line up, but worth the wait. Wish they were a little more flexible with the number of days/hours they were open so we can make more trips to this gem of a place!

Really delicious bread and other baked goods. Haven't worked through the menu but our favourites are their canelé and rye bread. Id only recommend against popping in on Sundays as their selection is a bit more limited then. Easy winners are also their savoury brioche, ciabatta and baguette. Pop in if you are making sandwiches or something. Easily worth the couple bucks more it costs compared to the grocery store. Owners are also very kind in answering questions.

I'm so happy to live less than a block from this incredible bakery. Today (and last week) I bought a loaf of their seed bread. It's fantastic, just a perfect crumb and it's encrusted with seeds, so it's messy to cut at home and so when the option of getting it sliced was given to me, I said yes, but would like thicker slices than those the slicing machine offers...and the owner offered to, and did, slice it BY HAND. The entire loaf. THAT'S good customer service. Impressive. And the bread is a masterpiece.

Phenomenal, every time. Today’s selections: - Croissant hot dog bun with grainy mustard. The croissant is buttery and rich, the hotdog is a hotdog, and therefore great. - Mango and passion fruit croissant. Lots of filling, tart and sweet. Phenomenal. - Pain au chocolate. Consistently melted chocolate throughout and, like both of the other croissants, lovely. Also: great physical distancing protocols! Fantastic food, lovely bakery.

This is the best thing to happen on this stretch of 14th Street sw in a long time, if not ever. Amazing croissants, bread quality and selection, baguettes and with a bonus Monogram coffee. hopefully they can open up the seating area soon or put a couple tables outside. Very excited to have this in the neighbourhood.

This place is a straight up blessing. At this point I've tried several breads and pastries, and each time I'm blown away at how truly delicious and genuinely flavourful everything is. Some proper buttery French baking for sure. Also, it's all so reasonably priced and served by the kindest staff. I'm in love!

This is by far the best in Calgary. As good as Premiere Moisson in Montreal or those in France. All pastries made with real butter. I remember their opening in 2020. I chat with owners at that time, a perfectionist couple from Toronto. I asked them why they have limited hours. The answer was astonishing. We want to make everything perfect, We follow the book, this slows us.I see their future. They will eventually expand.

Olga (another reviewer) was correct in saying this is the best thing to happen on 14th Street in a long time. Prior to COVID-19, my work place would often have special pastries delivered. Over the years, I've tried many pastry shops in the city. Bread Culture is hands down the best. I really really appreciate that the fruit options are not overly sweet, instead letting the fruit come through. A+!

BEST BAKERY IN YYC!! I always looking for a stylish and tasty bakery, here is the bakery. Of course, the bread was so delicious and healthy. I recommend Bretzel, Croissant, Brioche petit because these were amazing!! The staff was kind, and she recommended some of the bread with sampling for me. I was introduced to this Bakery by a girl I have been dating. Our date consisted of a box of Canale and Escargot Danish (just a name). Both were so amazing, the Danish was baked to a Golden Brown and Flakey. I ate it so quickly, it was sooo good. The Canales , I never had one before, it's like a mini lava cake with no lava, but a soft sweet center that is almost custard like but still cake. The outside has a little crunch which I didn't expect as I have not had them before but since have had several boxes between myself, my boys, and my continuous date???? Be quick to order !!! look them up online and place an order or check them out on Instagram, they sell out of their wonderful creations fairly quick. Open on certain days and short hours. Try the baguette, if you can get your hands on one. I will be going back really soon. Keep up the delicious surprises and great work.

Bread Culture is easily my favourite bakery in Calgary. While every item is excellent (my 5-year-old is hooked on the brioche au sucre), the owners/staff have a special place in my heart. They are always friendly and make excellent recommendations. I'm proudly regular, and I've noticed I'm not the only one!

Amazing! This is a new gem. Their breads look amazing and their chocolate almond croissants are 10 out of 10. They also serve coffee/latte (haven't tried it yet). This place reminds me of B.Patisserie in San Francisco. It will be the next hit in Calgary, for sure.

I walked past Bread Culture this morning without knowing I had moved so close to a fresh bakery. Of course I had to give it a try. I purchased the whole wheat sour dough, which was still warm as I received it. Immediately upon arriving home I took a bite- it was incredible. This is my new go-to for all my bread desires. I look forward to trying their ciabatta, baguette, and brioche treats in the future!

Literally the best baked goods I’ve ever had. The shop is only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays so you got to get there early to beat the line! Trust me, There is always a line! I’ve tried almost everything and it’s all phenomenal! The staff is always super friendly and never judge when they see how many pastries I’ve ordered for myself.

This place has become our go-to bread store. It's in a small mall next to 14th Street and doesn't even have its name on the street signage, but it's absolutely worth visiting. Their breads and pastries are fabulous. Wonderful croissants, a range of loaves and on Sundays, they make pretzels (bretzels). I'd have taken a photo... But I've eaten everything.

Been here 3 times and every time they are “sold out” of most things even though we show up at 9am. I understand you’re new in the business and you’re trying to create that “hype” however it’s very inconvenient for customers to drive all the way from NW and have no options and an empty store. Maybe instead of only baking 10 items of each croissant you should bake more so you don’t have unhappy customers. I spoke to another couple who left just as disappointed as they drove from Okotoks to try out your bakery (I suggested they go to black sheep bakery). We shouldn’t be forced to buy a loaf of bread when we came for something else. Will definitely not be returning - and continue giving my business to other bakeries such as black sheep, butter block and Yann.

This crazy dude Mike who gave this place a one star review because they were sold out, is a piece of s&%t. How can you be so disconssiderate and dishonest to affect a small business in such a way, not because you did not like the quality of the product or the service, but because the product was unavailable due to high demand. Maybe that's the best indicator this place is a 5 star bakery? How about doing a favour and calling in advance to get yourself some croissants. Freaking entitled North Americans who never spent one day in line for bread. This is by far the best pastry shop I have tried and yes, I came and waited in line to not see any product on the shelves and I waited patiently until they had another batch or came back later or another day. Go to freakin' Costco or Safeway if you want more product available.

Got there past 3pm so there were not that many left. Got croissants and brioche bread as one of the owners recommended. The croissant was crispy outside and very soft/chewy inside. Also the taste/smell of butter, perfect amount! ???? my first time having brioche, soft texture, just great! Can't wait to go there in the morning so I can taste stuff super fresh! You can park just across the street beside the street plaza with Subway in it.

Fantastic neighbourhood gem with classical freshly baked bread and pastries. The technique of the chef is perfect, producing typical French goodies. Our favourites are the Rocher brioche, the creme brulee viennoise and the caprese. Come early... they are popular and go fast!

The bread is awesome as are the croissants. The best brioche in Calgary!! It is great for French Toast and for sandwiches. The financiers are light and moist. Their lattes are great! Great selection of pastries, excellent quality and friendly staff! Best croissant in Calgary, well layered and so flaky. My favorite is butter pretzel, I was craving for it, found it from Bread Culture and it was legit. My husband doesn’t like to eat carbs but he eats croissants from here.

This is the best bread I have ever tasted. I have been there everyday for the past three days. Baguettes are my favourite their exterior is golden and crispy with hints of butter and the interior is sweet and soft. The pastries are also wonderful, super flaky and buttery. The owner is so great. Opening during the pandemic, they have great social distancing protocols. I will buy my bread here.

High quality and tasty pastries done just right - baked to the right crustiness. The deserts don't have too much sugar. The breads are also very good. I am sensitive to high glycemic foods but can indulge here. The owners are very personable and passionate about their product. Usually a line up to get in there. Go early if you want the best selection. Highly recommended and one of the best I have found in Calgary. One other reviewer compared it Premiere Maisson in the east - I'd agree ????

We were so happy to find this place!!! Best bread in Calgary - crusty/crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. We've been craving this type of bread since moving back to Calgary from Europe and are so happy this exists. A couple of breads were already sold out when we came at 10:30am on Friday, but we were told we can place orders online 2 days in advance, which is what we will do from now on.
