We ran out of dry rubs so naturally we had to make the trip down from Kelowna to pick up more. Traveling 5 hours to get some spices says something.

If you can afford it, the best kitchen stuff money can buy.

Biljana Car

I put an item on hold. Few weeks later I called to pick it up and they said “oh we cleared the hold. We called you…” a bunch of lies and this is not a first time they lied. I have been a customer for 5 years and each time I have a hold, the story is same – we called you. They are notoriously unprofessional. Unless you are physically in the store, you can not trust a word they are telling you. Don’t get your hopes up that an item is secured when it is on hold with your name and number. Unprofessional 100% and even 1 star is too high of a rating for that service

Vivian

Love the kitchenware here. They always have samples of their product for tasting too which is great. Friendly helpful staff. I usually buy stuff when it’s like 20% off the clearance price. Good deal then

I've been in Vancouver for almost 7 years and shopped Williams-Sonoma for every season. However the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have now chosen to shop online. Located on the west side of Granville South of Broadway. Wheelchair accessible.

Over priced kitchen items.

The experience at the store is phenomenal. Price point is rather on the higher side.but quality of the products are great. The phrase, you get what you paid for - this definitely applies to this store.

Stock is a bit scattered sometimes but they carry the best stuff. Prices to match.

Had another great experience here. Explained a problem with a previous purchase and the people were helpful immediately. Polite too. I didn't have to say "My wife and I have spent thousands of dollars here over the years" (which I wouldn't in any case, by the way) to get that level of attention. They didn't know me from Adam and offered prompt, courteous service. 10/10 will shop again.

Amazing customer service!! Everyone is so nice. One of very few places we visit..during covid. From the get go..gloves provided, sanitizer masks etc. They even had bookings at one point. A company that puts safety first. Rare. Such friendly staff. Ask for Sam, he is so lovely and knows his stuff. Tell them Brooklyn sent ya :)

While most things here are very pricey, you simply cannot beat their customer service. They also don't sell junk, you don't have to worry if something is going to break or not quite meet your standards.

Truly terrible customer service. It seems to be run by a bunch of entitled types too busy doing their own mysterious tasks to bother much with the customers. When they do finally turn to us, it’s with a huffy and unhelpful attitude. Will definitely not step foot in this store again.

CUSTOMER SERVICE from Williams-Sonoma is appalling. I ordered an Emile Henry Ruffled Pie Dish, which had no Emile Henry item number attached. The item was $39.95 and they charge an outrageous $29.95 shipping fee. The item itself was on …

Been a regular visitor and customer for years and I have to say that over the last few years I've noticed a significant difference in the level of customer service. I went in to look for an item today and not only was I not greeted but pretty much ignored by the staff working as they seemed more interested in opening boxes then asking if I needed help or anything. The one sales associate that did end up helping me after about 15 minutes of wandering around couldn't even tell me if they had the product that I was searching for and incorrectly told me it was being discontinued only to have a manage look into it and mention that it was not the case. This seems to be the normal now which is a shame as the management is very capable and knowledgeable.

Although I love the selection at Williams Sonoma, their shipping charge is absolutely ridiculous. I've been wanting to shop online several times but never actually go through with my order due to their shipping rate. Makes no sense.

Lots of high end cookware and specialty foods. Be ready to bring money. Cool to browse around. You can get 50%off chocolate barks after Christmas season. It's good.

Williams Sonoma is a great high end kitchen store located on Granville street in Vancouver. They have an extensive range of name brand cooks tools, appliances, knives, and cookware. The prices are relatively high compared to other stores like it, but they do often have discounts. Usually nothing over 20% off, with the exception of black Friday and boxing day. Customer service in store is great as the staff are very knowledgeable of the products and willing to answer any questions you may have. Edit: A warning about Breville appliances. TLDR: They look fantastic, but do not last and customer service is a pain to deal with. 2 years ago we bough the IQ kettle by Breville from Williams Sonoma. Last month or so, both of the plastic water windows as well as the lid formed cracks. I immediately stopped using the kettle for fear of burning myself or electrocution. My previous kettle, some cheap one from Costco, lasted the better part of five years. When I tried to call Breville, I could not reach them for hours. Only when I woke up super early and called did I get a response. The lady on the phone told me that I had to pay $100+ to get the kettle fixed. That was ridiculous because the kettle was only around $130. After haggling for a while, she told me that I could have the kettle repaired for free. Fast forward one month after I sent the kettle over, I received a refurbished kettle in the mail. There was a big ol' scratch on the side and the cord was real dirty. Cannot say that I am satisfied with this experience. That being said, Williams Sonoma is a five star store, Breville is a zero star company.

Mun Yee Kelly

Five stars for the service, four for selection, three for the price. Most of the things they offer can be found elsewhere for less money (I mean literally the same thing—brand, etc.). I wouldn't ever shop off sale here unless I had no choice.

I very seldom buy anything here as it's ridiculously expensive, but I love browsing through expensive culinary equipment.

Dana Westermark

Nevermind! They got thier lease re-newed and they are NOT closing. Still some items on sale but not the whole store. Hurry in to get your W-S stuff as this store is gone at the end of January. Another victim of the sky-high taxes on the south Granville strip, they are closing for good. Hopefully, the redevelopment of South Granville will get moving before the whole street is nothing but shuttered shops.

The gal who helped me was great! I didn't get her name but she was helpful, friendly, suggested an alternative option when it was obvious they didn't have the item I needed. I'd go back just for good service.

Mitchell Shuster

As most other reviews have said, absolutely BRUTAL customer service! DON'T BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY, they assume ZERO responsibility for their own mistakes but are happy to take your money. I ordered an item that took 6 weeks to deliver (which they shockingly charge you $20 for; it's 2021 and your a giant company...), over which period the price dropped twice from what I paid and they refused to assist with any price adjustment and told me if I want I can return the item in store once it arrives. I spoke with their customer service 3 times, all of which kept telling me it should arrive on day X but really had no idea as this went on for 3 weeks. I wasn't able to be issued a refund until the item 'arrived' which it seemed like it never would because none of them had a clue what was going on (I was told after 8 weeks I can file an undelivered mail complaint). Finally once it did arrive the item was no longer available and they said they can't do anything about it. They had zero concern for customer satisfaction and are only concerned with their bottom line.

Absolutely terrible customer service and online shopping experience. I applied a discount to my order, which worked correctly in the checkout screen. For some reason, it was taken off right before I paid for the order and I paid full price thinking the difference was due to shipping charges. I couldn't find any information on their site on how to cancel an order, so I emailed customer service requesting a refund for the discount or to cancel the order. They took days to respond back to me and when they did, they just gave me a generic response as to why the discount might have been taken off. It was clear they didn't even look into the specifics of my order to understand what went wrong. In the end, they offered me no solutions or options to change the order and I'm stuck paying full price when, according to the website, the discount should have applied. Ridiculous.

Terrible customer service

Ivone R

Let me first start by saying this review is for on-line orders and not the retail store. I ordered an item in December 13 and was informed that I would receive it mid January ( already a bit of a wait but thought it was ok). I called customer service in January 15 to follow up with my order and was then informed of a back order to date February 22. I was upset that I had to wait another month and had I not called I would not have been informed of a back order! It was not until after I spoke to the customer service rep of my disappointment of not being notified that I received an email informing me of a back order. I was So excited to receive my package today being February 22, I get home to no parcel or notification of post office telling me of a parcel. Once again,I call customer service and after waiting for about 20minutrs I speak to a rep who said oh yeah we received the shipment today and will ship it out, you should receive your parcel first week of March ! That’s not what I was informed and once again not notified of delivery in March! Never again will I be shopping at William and Sanoma who is suppose to be a high end retailer, lack of communication with customer service is trully below the brow service. Update: Feb 24 I received an e-mail saying that my order was cancelled with no explanation. I e-mail head office with my disappointment and the reply was a bit more sympathetic offering me a 10% discount if I would like to place the order again. Ha, no thank you! Good news is that this company does not charge your credit card until item is shipped, thankfully no need to request a refund.

Really bad customer service and so far not happy at all about my purchase. Ordered a Japanese chef knife online and within a month of purchase the tip of the knife chipped off from cutting chicken. Reached out to customer service right away I haven’t heard from them in 2 weeks. Would not recommend purchasing from them.

The worst customer service for this high end store so disappointed I will not recommended to any one to go to shop there.my brother gave me a salt and pepper mills as a gift which one of them has lots of scratches on the small metal one which is written P on it so I just want them to change it for me they did not do it for me at first they told me you do not have a receipt we are not able to change it so after I told me if I bring the receipt they told me no because they are on sale we can not do it which is completely ridiculous.what does it mean that you want to get of your stock or your quality is so cheap you do not want to cause want to get rid of them .this proves your brand it not reliable and worthless.do not Buy from them.cause if something wrong they are not going to do anything about it.

I've never been so intensely disappointed in a product. Ever. I bought a cocktail mixer gift pack for a secret santa present and was so embarrassed by the product I took it back with the hope that the store would recognize my dissatisfaction and offer store credit (I'm not the type of person that normally does this). However for a store that brands itself on being an upscale chain I was shocked at how little concern they held for customer satisfaction. Complete disregard for my view and experience. Given the price ($60 for a 600ml of 'mixer') i had assumed this mixer was a high-end syrup / bitter style concentrate that would make many cocktails. It transpired that it would make just 6. To put this into context, this is just juice that works out at a dollar for 10ml (or two teaspoons). I really thought this was going to be a nice gift but it's easily the worst I've ever bought. Terrible customer service, eye-wateringly over-priced, and basic food products - I'm genuinely appalled, it feels like daylight robbery.
