You will be able to see the information of real people who consume the services of Mon Paris Patisserie (Bakery) near Burnaby (Canada).
As of day the business has a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is quite good, and it is based on a large number of reviews, so we may be quite sure that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bakery is classified in the category of Pastry shop.
Nice and clean small Cafe. 3 small tables with counter service. Good selections of pastries.
Great service. Will be back again.
Love the cheese cake!! Cinnamon stick and 4 stars.. And croissant for the 4. Americano 3 stars.
Amazing canele. Perfectly soft custardy centre and the delicious crust. For a good price of only $2 I love this store just for this. Better than Thierry's canele by a mile. Very small place and very limited seating arrangements. They have good selection of cakes too. I have like most things that I buy here.
Hot chocolate was okay.
I see the reviews that cashier was friendly. Not when i went- blonde lady was cold and had no customer service. not even a thank you or hello. Croissant was soggy at bottom and not worth. Macarons were tasty. Pretty disappointed with service cuz this place is in the neighborhood and would've visited way more
Such a disappointment. I had high hopes for Mon Paris. The pastries are beautiful and delicious. They're very well made BUT sometimes it's not just all about the food though. The pastries taste as good as they look but the owner isn't very personable. She looks so serious. The first time I went, she was the one at the front. I complimented the store and the food but she wasn't really engaging. She was quite stoic. Today was the second time I went. The service is lacking still. They have lunch advertised on a sign outside and by the cashier that clearly states that a couple of sandwiches are available from 11AM to 3PM. We tried to order them and they say, "Sorry we don't have them. There's no one in the back to make them." What? Why bother advertising it then? Remove the sign or something if it's not available on that day. This is also the second time I've ordered Earl Grey Tea for 2 from them and like before, I had to go back to the front to ask for cream. It was never offered. As good as the pastries are, that's not enough reason for me to go back since there are other places in Metro Vancouver that make and serve amazing pastries as well.
Great cake, beautiful and delicious
Lovely place, great service, and yummy pastries!
Very tasty bakes????
One of my favourite place to go to
Delicious desserts, love their London Fog with Lavender. It's a cozy cafe.
The absolute best place in town to find authentic French croissants
It seems like their in store cakes are decent. However, the larger cakes that they're selling online is far from the actual product. My friend purchased a cake from them and the picture online versus the actual cake is basically two different cakes. I saw the actual cake and was shocked how different it looked from the advertised. The only thing that is similar is probably the shape. I did more digging and found out that this happened to another poor gal two years ago. They knew this was a problem and didn't fix it.
It’s so hard for me to find decent European style deserts in Vancouver, but I’m so happy that this shop exists. I tried mostly their small cakes and croissants. However, I also purchased medium cake once. All deserts were always fresh and delicious. I once left a cake for 4 days and was surprised that it was still good. Beside flavour, cake design stands out for me as well. I’m also totally in love with their croissants and heart-shaped cookies. In terms of service, I was never disappointed either. Staff was very pleasant and helpful to make choices. Great place to go to for all sweet-tooth like me!
Update on January 2022 I was going to buy some croissants and I just saw an old lady picked up a dirty napkin with tongs and use the same tongs to pick up a brownie for a customer! Won't come back. I love their croissants! It's delicious and fresh most of the time. I've purchased the croissants for more than 10 times here but one day, the croissant was a little bit hard. So I asked a lady in the cashier "All baking stuffs are freshly baked today?" and she said "yes". That's great and I want to believe it honestly. But when I passed the store after they closed, I see many bread still sitting on the counter over night. Why do you guys leave old bread in your front like that?? I hope they don't sell that next day in the same price as fresh bread.
Beautiful cakes.
Love love love their Passionfruit cake. Best little French bakery in the area hands down. Also walked away with almond and chocolate croissants and a bunch of little chocolate cakes. Not too sweet and with a whole lot of flavour. Definitely going to be my regular go to place!
I visited the place for Hot chocolate Vancouver drink, I liked their creative style of chocolate (Even this small Matryoshka print chocolate was cute and sweet!)
Stopped by for their Hot Chocolate Fest drinks! I had the "From Paris With Love", which had just the right amount of floral flavor. The lavender financier it came with was so good, it had a great texture. The shop is quite small so there was a line up to order, but service is efficient for take out/pick up. I visited once a few years back and had their Passionata (passion fruit mousse), which was delicious. They have a good selection of pastries and desserts, so would be back if I'm in the area!
Awesome cakes and pastries! Glad I don’t have to drive all the way to Vancouver for a high quality patisserie anymore.
This place turned me to a patisserie fan!
Subpar.
Delicious pastries and cakes. My favourites: big macaroons with fresh raspberries, croissant and other.
The desserts tasted awesome and the prices were very reasonable (when comparing to the Asian cafes that sell stale cakes). The lady was very nice as well
We have tried 2 different kinds of hot chocolate and we liked it a lot. It’s unusually tasty. It has creative design. I recommend every one to try it, Therefore Chocolate Festival lasts one month only.
Me and my daughter are customers since opening. Macarons and all your cakes are delicious. Now they’re have matcha macarons- absolutions delicious. You’re doing amazing job and I wish you good luck !! ????
Delicious pastries and friendly service! Nice quiet place to grab a coffee or tea.
Amazing pastry. Definitely worth a visit.
So lucky to have this place in my neighborhood. My favorite go to place for French pastry and dessert.
This little gem is across the street from Metropolis. I love everything they serve here. Their almond and pistachio croissants are to die for! Macarons, chocolates and cakes are delicious too. Cappuccino and hot chocolates are so good. This is my favorite coffee shop/bakery in Burnaby.
Did not taste very good. The coffee dessert was very dry. Some unique design.
Needed two last minute cakes for a twins birthday. Elena did not disappoint! She was able to have two cakes ready for me an hour after I called. We loved the chocolate truffle cake and the Russian honey cake
The macarons and pastries are amazing but the service is sweeter. Eileen is a sweet heart, very professional and super friendly, she is a keeper.
Change your delivery packaging please. It came with just a white paper bag. Imagine a croissant is squashed into a sheet. Worst packing for a pastry shop ever.
The cake is so good! Amazing place
Mon Paris patisserie It was pretty patisserie but their bread was burned too much ... I wish they can bake better bread
I liked this bakery for lovely atmosphere, for tasty bakeries, incredible cakes and professionally prepared coffee. This place makes you feel to come more and more.
Delicious cakes
I enjoyed its nice environment and their delicious pastries. If the tables are takem, they will set up a tabke and chair for you outside.
This place is a spoiler for us ???? We live right across and it’s super difficult to stay away from the sweet treats! We tried their baked goods and also chocolate hazelnut cake for a friends birthday. Nothing ever disappointed. Get their double baked chocolate hazelnut croissant. It’s Hugee, you won’t be disappointed if you are a chocolate person. Strawberry mascarpone croissant is another hit, there’s hidden surprise inside (strawberry ????), mascarpone has the right amount of sweetness, croissant is flaky on the outside and the layers are beautiful to look at. Custard tart/egg tart, i don’t remember the name. It was too sweet to our liking, wouldn’t get it again. I thought there would be a custard filling inside. It was just a sweet buttery chewy bread! Hazelnut cake is rich in flavour, moist and decadent. There was one time I got a mocha, and it was super watered down, but apart from that never a bad experience here. Service is welcoming! The place itself is tiny, probably can fit in 3 people with safe distancing. There’s a couple of chairs outside for seating, but it’s more of a take out place. Prices are alright, cakes are a bit expensive. But pastries are fairly priced.
Wow what a disappointment i guess I had high expectations for this place i ordered americano coffee first of all o couldn't taste coffee only the cream that she put it in why i can't do that my self i don't know. Got box off 9 chocolate candies price for one is $1.70 i don't know why i paid $16.50 for it should be $15.30 only my guess box is extra really. Then the pastry maybe the look good on the day the were made not 2 -3 days old i had really hard time to pick something that looks fresh and selection is wary limited and service is really bad We won't be back there and i won't be recommending this place to any one there is so many batter coffee shops
Deserts are alright. I took 6 different flavours of macaroons: 3 tasted fresh, other 3 dated. Also, look at their broken mugs, plates and a dirty cup. It is unacceptable! The place would be awesome but they need to replace all broken dishes and use a dishwasher.
We bought two chocolates, two croissants, two macarons and a cappuccino. A complete disappointment. Butter taste interesting, in a weird way. Chocolate used in the products is a good brand but the amount of sugar added masks the taste of chocolate. The macarons are dry, they need to be fluffy and mildly chewy and that must last less than 3’seconds in your mouth. It is baked entirely wrong. A good croissant need be vibrant brown instead it is dim and hazy brown and butter is wrong, it has bad peculiar taste. But on the positive side, it’s a good attempt. I recommend the baker learn the craft in France and then come back and continue. Cappuccino was a cup full of milk with a bit taste of coffee. I’d also recommend learning making coffee. There are a lot of good resources out there.
This use to be my favorite cake shop, bought countless of cake and rated them 5 stars since 2019. The quality nowadays for the online cakes just keep getting worse and worse. My last order of Strawberry Haze had juice coming out of it from the bottom - taken straight out from the fridge. The macaroons was hard and felt old, the cake itself was way too sweet. Very very disappointed, unfortunately will not be coming back again. I would recommend to stick with the bakeries inside the store that are freshly baked.
(Translated) A macaron restaurant with a sticky texture ???????? The price is 2 dollars each, which is cheaper than most places, and it tastes rich in almonds. The pastry is also full of filling and delicious????
The crossiant is really good. The cakes are a bit expensive, but I still go for a tiramisu plus something random every time.
Hidden in Burnaby is a cake and chocolate shop. Things look amazing here but taste is average. Still, work a visit to taste the cakes, chocolate, and have a sip of cappuccino.
Bit pricey but you get what you pay
Cherry turnover was amazing
Expensive, but their creations are out of this world. Totally worth the price.
Best Milk chocolates every tasted
Limited selection
Cute little place. Delicious pastries!
Guys, this is an awesome place to get a remarkable flair of Paris.
The hazelnut croissant was dense and dry. Asked the server to lightly warm up the mushroom tart. She ended up microwaving the tart which turned into a soggy inedible mess. A baker should know not to ever microwave the pastry! Very disappointed.
Amazing Bakery. High quality french pastries and sometimes some Russian-french pastries.
I am ever so grateful that we have real original cake and pastry shop in the whole lower mainland!!! The best out of all! Excellent choice, unique cakes and chocolates all hand made. Try a few selection ---Simply divine!!! Thank you
High end presentation and taste with great service!
Good place but it is slightly pricey.
Tasty french pastry shop. Price is reasonable and desserts very yummy. Yet to try their high tea.
Superb desserts, absolutely amazing skills with the delicate nature of pastries!
A bit expensive, but really good cakes...
What a unique Pâtisserie! Mon Paris indeed has that je ne sais quoi! The pastries and truffles are unique, tasty and a true reflection of French pâtisserie. If you like a cozy Parisian Ambiance, drop by for un bon café ☕and try the beautifully crafted Truffles and Pastries.
Delicious desserts, love their London Fog with Lavender. It's a cozy cafe.
Very sweet experience
Best of bakery in Burnaby, hands down. I'm so grateful this shop opened near where I live, now I never need to go downtown or North Vancouver for some gourmet cakes, macaroons or chocolates when I want to spoil myself. The chocolates are beautifully decorated and very very delicious. Wonderful to give away as gifts too! The macaroons are great, though some of the flavours are a bit sweet for me, I can eat the salted caramel one all day. Can't wait to go back ????!
Few tables but nice bakeries ???????????????? Now I get it why people are waiting for ???? even weather in bad
Good place, very friendly staff. Not super spacy, but food and drinks were great!
We went there during wave 3, good place to have a tea and a dessert. You can grab your product and eat outside.
I live their products it's amazing always fresh little pricey but it's worth it
Such high quality pastry is nowhere else to be found in Vancouver greater area and Vancouver. Outstanding quality and taste.
A little overpriced but I can’t stop buying their cakes…???? It’s good for the special day or the gift. I like the atmosphere and friendly cashiers.
Overall we were a little disappointed. We found the regular hot chocolate too bitter and the Mm. Jasmine far too sweet. We also noticed that while drinks were brought to the table for every other guest we had to go up to the counter to pick ours up. They weren't very hot to begin with and quickly became lukewarm. Not sure if we'll be back.
Nice little cafe with delicious pastries and cakes. Small seating area with only 4 tables.
Best blueberry danish I’ve ever had!
Immaculate presentation & flavor for chocolates & pastries!
The best bakery in town! I've tried their macaroons, cakes and most drinks. It's all really really good! Chocolate hazelnut croissant is to die for!
I came here with the boyfriend after he heard about this place from a friend. We had the Opera and this honey cake (forgot the exact name). He has the freshly squeezed orange juice and I had the Americano. The Opera was good but I was hoping to see more distinct layers of almond sponge. The chocolate ganache was good and the coffee flavor was subtle. The honey cake was my absolute favorite!! It was delicate and I think the buttercream was vanilla bean, but I'm not sure. It's a must get!! It wasn't too sweet. I loved how the orange juice here is legitlfreshly squeezed compared to most places. I'll come back!
I bought a selection of tasty pastries while there. I had gone elsewhere & it was a terrible experience looking for a particular confection. This bakery was much more friendly; they even suggested another place which might have what I was looking for. I was looking for Porteguese custard tarts (pasteis de nata); my search will continue.
Excellent plain croissant.
Super tasty croissants and French treats
Amazing Canelés and croissants!
Very nice. Delicious. But it is a small place. Can be a problem to find a seat.
A very cute dessert place. All their pastries and baked goods look so good!
Love their croissants!!!! Their chocolates are beautiful too.
Yum get the croissants, tarts were avg but the croissants!!! Will come back!
Enjoyed their tiramisu
Elena is such a talented chef. We spent more than $50 of goodies for a gathering and everything in the box was fantastic. We'll definitely go there again for our future dessert and pastry cravings.
Almond croissants are delicious!
Excellent!
Mind blowing pastries - really as good as any in Vancouver, and authentically French - but service by the owner was abrupt and clearly lacking warmth towards customers :( For that reason, we recommend either taking food to go or just try another place. Prices are reasonable and drinks are pretty good. Limited seating.
Amazing cakes, possibly the best almond croissant ever!!
Lovely cakes! Friendly staff!
I like their macarons they offer variety of flavours. During this tough time they offer delivery free in Burnaby and are working hard so I recommend supporting this small business. The people there are very nice and they are very reliable. By the way their website shown on Google Maps does not show the delivery system if you click in. You gotta go on their Facebook for link to order.
I think we've sampled nearly everything...yum!
Bakery is right across Metrotown station. I ordered a 6’’ Rose cake for $45. The cake was presentable, had good flavours and was not too sweet. Mom loved it. I’ll be back to try the pastries and chocolates when I get the chance.
Great pastries, desserts and baked goods at this little bakery/cafe. Prices are fairly for their delicious treats but seating is limited. Despite the small location, the vibe is bright and airy. Their bakery creations taste as good as they look!
Cream cheese croissant: yummy and filling. I had great customer service and drank lots of water
ordered a variety of things from Mon Paris and the majority of them seemed to be stale, and were flat in flavour. I was expecting more, but was left a bit disappointed.
Cute French pastry shop. Very insta-worthy with great quality and care put into them. The cakes and croissants are delicious!
Croissant too bread like in the middle. Russian cake and the chocolate one is pretty good.
She was really kind and the macarons were really good too :) i would definitely visit again
Amazing pastries and worth the buy!
Nice selection. Will go back again!
Best macaroons in town. I'd definitely come back for more
amazing Carmel cake
Exceptional pastries here. We got a pistachio and a tomato pesto pastry here. Both were delicious.
So I decided to finally give this place a try for my morning coffee and breakfast. First off let me talk about the food. I ordered a bacon croissant and a mocha. The croissant was by far the best croissant Ive ever tried. The buttery flaky pastry and crunchy bacon bits were perfect. I wish I had a pic to show but I devoured it so fast. The coffee was sub par nothing special. Now let me break down the customer service on my first time here. The owner can be a real bully. If you've seen Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, this place is a potential candidate except that the food is actually good and the attitude isnt so much. I was fortunate enough to watch a fellow come in (sent in by his wife) to complain on her behalf about the croissants they ordered. Now before you judge me on being nosy, the gal at the front got dragged into it as she was the one who took the order. The complaint the guy had was that they wanted the regular croissants and not the almond ones. The owner then defended herself and said they did not get the order wrong and that the customer did. Then there was more bickering between them and the fellow accused the owner of over baking them and they were over cooked. It was quite a scene that could have been remedied pretty easy. What should have been a 5 minute transaction for me became a 10-15 minute one watching the customer be told. I would definitely come back for the croissants and hope not to get on the owners bad side.
Artisan pastries in the heart of Burnaby. A magical place for connoisseurs of fine sweets.
(Translated) Very pleasantly surprised. Cafe concept, interior design, cake design, handmade chocolates, nothing superfluous, everything is in pastel pink, clean, neat, light, friendly. Everything is delicious! Heard about the cafe, and friends also treated them to cakes. I chose the day to visit the cafe myself and choose a delicacy. I was convinced everything is great. I also met Galina, the mother of the owner of the establishment! You can use the WiFi cafe and just sit at the table. Elena - respect and respect! Well done ????????????
Divine macaroons. Will return!
Came here to try their Hot Chocolate Festival menu. Got the Mademoiselle Jasmine which came with topped with whipped cream, strawberry and flower made with chocolate. I quite enjoyed the jasmine tea flavour. I've also tried most of the desserts here which have unique flavours and are not too sweet. Perfect for pairing with a cup of coffee or tea.
Fresh and tasty ????
A little Paris. A cute little place for pastries and chocolates. Close to Metrotown Station.
The opera cake was divine. Loved it. Also liked the red velvet cake. Keep it up!
Is this place legit? Yes indeedy! I was dying for some real pastries, not so far from my home as I had in Paris.. and this definitely fit the bill. Everything I tried was delicious and perfectly made. I would go back here again. The parking can be challenging, but it is close to Metrotown and the Skytrain, which is convenient.
Was short for time and had to stop somewhere in Burnaby for something sweet. Found this little gem next to Metrotown. Got a box full of Croissants, Apple/Rasberry/Peach pastries etc and they were a huge hit! Will definitely be back!
Love this little Paris ! Pastries and macaroons are amazing ! Staff is very nice. Highly recommended ♥️
Born and raised in Victoria I'm pretty used to friendly customer service. I asked my bf to go in to get me a bunch of desserts from there as I found out about this place from my boss and coworkers who ordered online before. How embarrassing big mistake. When my bf came in, no greeting no nothing, no thank you after. The lady pretty much ignored him. My bf showed her the things he would like, asked her a question, she ignored him so he had to ask her the 2nd time. It's too bad I didn't go in to educate her. If you are clueless about customer service (didn't realize this place was known for poor customer service until i read reviews) just don't come to work being vile, haggered, and jaded, it's a super turn off. The company's image goes hand and hand with their products and align with their customer service so don't make food with hate, make food with love. The ham&cheese croissant sandwich "taste like death" 0/5 and my mushroom tarte was ok...2/5, our favorite item was the Opera, it was good! Standard macaroons (they were fine to me and i didn't find them dry as another reviews had mentioned, but the lavender one tastes like soap). I will definitely be letting my boss and coworkers know about the attitude of this place. Luckily there are so many other delicious dessert places in Burnaby and Vancouver :) We all will be going elsewhere that doesn't give off bitter vibes.
The croissants are buttery and delicious! The hot chocolate was just ok
Oh yeah! Great coffee, pastries, cookies, cakes And chocolate!
Ordered the Strawberry Haze cake for my girlfriend's birthday. The cake is so beautiful and delicious. The lady on the phone was very kind to answer all my questions. Free delivery done on time and with care. I'm so glad to have this Patisserie in this neighborhood.
The pastries are good but some things were a little off. For example, the almond croissant was soggy on the bottom so not sure if this was just an one off. Is it because the almond croissants are flat? The strawberry croissant was next level! It was nice and flaky, nicely filled and delicious. The girl working cash register did not smile. She crammed 3 pastries into one small box and did not offer a bag. We had two boxes of pastries to carry as well as a bagged croissant and a baggie of chocolates.
Sandwich croissant. Oh yes.
Get the mushroom and parmesan tart!!! It's an easy to get to cute little cafe on the other side of the Metrotown SkyTrain. Limited seating inside.
It was alright--I expected a richer, buttery flavour from their shortbread. Their chocolates were not bad.
Fresh, good selection, friendly staff. This is a hidden gem.
Super friendly lady at the till. Pastries were good too. I especially enjoyed the lavender macaron. The location is quite bright, although it has limited seating. Prices are fair for the pastries.
They have very beautiful cake! And of course the taste was amazing! They have a little space to have some sweet and coffee as well. Nice atmosphere and cute shop!
Superb!!!
Delicious food
Loved the pastries. The American misto ordered was delicious!
I was very happy to hear they were open on Family Day (usually closed Mondays) Took this opportunity to try their hot chocolate fest creations. The Mlle Jasmine tasted quite sour for strawberry (more like raspberry). Sesame tuile was very fragrant and crisp. Brought a few slices of cake home to try and I must say they were all delicious! Mille-feuille, l’Opéra and a passion fruit one as well.
Came here for a few baked good they were amazing, friendly service as well.
Best bakery in Metrotown, bar none. A real Paris bakery in Metrotown. Run, don't walk.
Yummy and delightful pastries! I also really enjoyed the Spanish Latte here.
Good desserts. Average customer service on my previous visit.
Very nice
I ordered a cake for my friend’s birthday. The cake looks exactly like the picture on their website. Though it is really sweet to my taste even though I do like sweets (always order full sweet at any coffee/bubble tea shop). It comes in a pretty box too. Give 4 stars because when I was there, I saw the chef handle chocolate really unsanitarily. She touches everywhere and still hold the chocolate with her bare hands.
authentic!
Desserts are very beautiful, the taste varies, depending on what you’re trying, some are good some underwhelming. Most disappointing is the unfriendly owner ????????♀️ a smile and a thank you goes a long way!
This Place is nice for a quick coffee with a Croissant. They need more effort on their Pastry, i've tasted better. Overall experience is Good and friendly Staff.
I got this for valentine’s day and expected more quality than this, especially it costs nearly $80 for all of it. The high heel chocolate i can see where they glue the chocolate and it looks cheap for what you pay. Box of chocolate seems ok, but not bright and delicate as the picture they show in the website or pamphlets. The box as it self seem not as presentable as i hoped as well. It was kinda disappointing, I will go with another place next time.
we came here because their Hot chocolate festival menu seemed quite interesting - (lavender hotchoco with lavender financier) we got a small treat (Elegance) to try as well. It was indeed elegant! there were so many different notes, and wasn’t tooooo sweet. hot chocolate was very pleasant. I wish I knew about this place sooner! They are currently open from 9-5 , closed on Mondays. They have two small tables inside and two outside. I will definitely come back to try their pastries, chocolates and cake. We could feel the owner chef’s love and passion for her creation. Top quality dessert.
(Translated) It was a very cute shop There are 10 types of macaroons and I was quite confused about which one to choose Everything looks delicious The macaroons here also use almond powder, so they can't be eaten by older children. Instead, I bought chocolate in the shape of a cute animal I want a happy face (Original)
The desserts is super delicious, we got the passionita which had many layers and had the wonderful tart flavour from the fruit. It was perfect. The cheesecake had dollops of the foamy raspberry mousse and fresh strawberries. My only complaint is that the cheesecake crust was too thick and stuck onto the black plastic holder too much so it was so difficult to pull it off to eat. The London fog was not too sweet and had a lovely lavender flavour.
Next time, i’ll get one more strawberry croissant. I love it.
Their desserts are first class. Does not matter which one you take, it will blow your mind. What I love about their desserts and chocolates the most is that they are not too sweet and are very elegantly presented, just beautiful inside and out and always fresh too. Wishing this business to prosper for many years to come as we need to have MonParis Patisserie in this city.
Nice coffee shop
Service was pretty terrible (cashier was cold and the order prep was so disorganized they forgot one part of my order so that I had to go back and ask for it) but it was mother's day so they were understandably pretty swamped. The quality of goods made up for the lack of quality service. Black forest cake looked gorgeous and tasted absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back during a less-busy time to try some of their other pastries and treats to hopefully provide a 5* experience. Edit: 2 birthday cakes and some pastries later, quality of products is still definitely among the bests and service was better but my lychee/rose cake tasted more like passionfruit or gauava (a tangy tropical fruit but definitely not lychee..) + rose. I was not informed of any changed to the advertised product so I'm not sure if that's what it's supposed to taste like or if there was a mishap that day. I ordered the cake well in advance though so there should not have been any issues or I should have been informed beforehand if there were. In any case, the cake was still delicious so I won't dwell on it, though the 4* rating still stands.
I enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee with pastry here and go for a walk to central park which is very close. Or if there is a empty table just chill while having my drink, I love the vibes of this place✌️
Had a few treats from here and they were all very delicious! Highly recommend.
Delicious Cakes & Macaroons!
Mon Paris Patisserie is a little bakery shop located across from Metropolis (on the other side of the Skytrain). With all of the development going on in the area, it can be a bit difficult to find parking nearby but we managed to luck out and get a spot right in front of the shop. We came here to pick up a little treat to celebrate my birthday and I picked the Passionata – a soft honey biscuit topped with fresh mango confit and passion fruit mousse. I actually really liked this… not too tart or sweet.
Very cute little cafe tucked in a corner in Metrotown, the pastries are delicious and the coffee is very nice. It's tiny, so it's often completely full with no available seats or tables.
Cute little place near Metrotown, great pastries and excellent hot chocolate
Small quaint place with a very nice lady at the front. I had the London fog (it was alright, a bit too floral for my personal taste), a croissant (loved it. Flaky, buttery, and moist inside with plenty of flavor), and a canele (I wasn't sure what to expect but I liked it). It's not the best place for a sit down and chat sort of thing but great for the products they offer.
I stopped here for a morning coffee and a croissant and I was pleasantly surprised. The croissant was light and airy with many layers, a rich buttery interior and a crisp outer shell.
Our favorite bakery! If you like European style desserts, cakes and chocolate, this is THE place! ????????
Excellent quality, rare to find pastries made from real ingredients, real cream, butter, not palm oil. Will be definitely going there for all of our pastry, cake occasions.
Tasty macarons
The Hot Chocolate Festival brought me here, but I'll happily be returning. The attention to detail on the hot chocolates was impeccable, and it's obvious that the pastries are made with the same care.
Very high quality chocolates & patisseries. Their chocolate collection is very unique while visually stunning at the same time. Highly recommend!
Love their desserts, especially raspberry moose cake, delicious. As for the interior design it’s cute but small, more of a grab and go kind fo place.
Best place for desserts in town.....and beyond!
Fantastic service!!! Not enough words to write about the pastry and cake????
This place it's a dream come true in BC, I been in so many coffee shops here in VanCity looking for a perfect latte and finally I found it, the barista it's amazing, making milk sweet by creaming it it's a gift, not a skill, the food it's top quality, seems like the chef loves what she does, everyone in service it's kind something that I've been missing in this city where everyone in service seems that hates their work. Stand up and clap for this place because it deserves it! The only concern I can have about it it's that closes at 5 pm so I must wait until weekends to come again. See you soon Mon Paris Patisserie.
Most exquisite!
They're known for macarons, and have a good selection of gourmet sweets and baked goods. They have coffee and espresso as well. Uber eats pick up is in the back right - you can skip the line and go grab your order.
Super adorable, refreshing, actual good coffee, and relaxing.
Delicious European pastries that are fairly priced. Top notch quality that you won’t find anywhere else in the lower mainland.
The pastries here are so good! Very buttery and savory, just how I like them. So far I've had the Apple turnover and the pistachio turnover, and I'm going to keep making my way through them all!
Ordered a chocolate cake and macarons., looking at the past ratings. But, below average taste.

Best french pattiserie and macarons in Burnaby!
Amazing drinks and pastry
Very well made french pastries. Ordered a birthday cake for my brother and it was well priced and delicious. Appears to be a family run mother and daughter business
Plz try their almond croissant and pistachio shortbread
Nice croissants and pastries!
Good cakes, and pastries, kind of expensive but it is Metrotown area, so It is expected to be expensive. Staff not always in a good mood.
Excellent pastries and coffee. Why go to Starbucks
I died from eating the Strawberry Mascarpone Croissant. Absolutely heaven. Will return to devour the other items again. 5 stars. Bon appetit.
One of my measures of a good Café is how they do their London Fog - top marks here. Excellent pastries as well!
Amazing little shop to get pastries and especially desserts. They have amazing cake that can be customized to your special occasion. But my main love for this place is the Tiramisu! Its absolutely phenomenal!!! Must have! Trust me I have been to many shops DT Vancouver and this by far is the best. I didnt rate this a 5* because they always run out of spoons when I get my Tiramisu to go...sadly.
I'm not a desert person, but this place got me hooked on deserts. Macaroons are too delicious, I can't stop eating them and other deserts I tried (don't remember the names) are simply to die for. Their coffee is one of the best coffees I have had (better than Starbucks, Artigiano, Blenz, you name it...) I'm huge on coffee and this place rocks it every time. It's also great that it's a local business, with high quality ingredients. I will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to all my friends.
Awesome looking and tasty raspberry chocolate cake. Got it this morning and everyone liked it. Will come back to try other stuff. Mike
Amazing cakes. You have to try the L'Opera cake, Vanilla mouse dessert and Caneles. Cheesecake is good too.
Great service and baked good are delicious !!
always fresh bread and coffee and friendly staffs
Really good service! Had to change delivery date, employee gave full refund for delivery !
Nicely done. Sweet fruits.
Friendly staff. This is the place to go in Burnaby if you are looking for macarons and pastries.
Money money That means delicious
Ok pastries but a little expensive. Space is limited. Parking is also Limited.
Expensive but worth it!
Went to this establishment 3 times and was charged a different price each time. The first time it cost $15, second time it was $13, and today they tried to charge me $24. When I mentioned that I don't think the price is correct. The cashier changed the price to $12. Please note that each time I went there, I purchased the same amount of macaroons and the only difference was the price. Not sure exactly what is going on with the pricing but I think you should have a set price and stick to it like at Thierry. Not very professional to be charged different prices each time. Feels more like a scam. Has no one noticed this before?
Delightful pastries and the chocolate was amazing! I loved that they did not use peanuts in the store either :)
Tried their With love Paris hot chocolate- quite different with the flavors of Lavender. Their Tiramisu is to die for!!
I love their pear jalette and Apple danish so much , they are the best .
Wonderful bakery!
Amazing pastries! The place is lovely and they have a lot of choices for any sweet tooth ;) if you are looking to treat someone or yourself it's also a nice place to go!
Had the strawberry danish. It was delicious!!! Will defiantly be going back for more.
We went here for the hot chocolate event. Both options were delicious. Service was good, too.
We did a huge 200 person event today at my work & the delivery was on time :) Elena & her devoted, delightful TEAM makes the most yummy patisseries ! Highly recommend this place, thank you for all your effort ! All the patisseries were gone within 30 minutes !
i usually go here to get some pastries and they are pretty good. but very disappointed their coffee. oat latte was worst I've ever tried so far...had to throw it out after 2 sips
Taking part in this year's Hot Chocolate event. We went with high hopes to this establishment. With a name like this, should be an experience, right? Upon entering, with no customers inside, the older lady..no greetings or acknowledgment whatsoever. If there is anything more irritating than that, it's having the actual owner walk in glance around the shelves and not say anything either. I noticed the award so proudly displayed on the wall beside your baked goods. Congratulations Best Business with less than 50 staff...I think it was. Maybe another one. From the declining reviews that have been coming in regarding this service, I would hope you rectify it. Besides this, Hot Chocolate with lavender was a wonderful blending of components. The financier had a near perfect texture and the lavender really showed it's character...but one must be sure to drink the hot chocolate while it's hot to fully appreciate it's subtlety. Hazelnut/raspberry worked also with just a mellow raspberry overtone...thoroughly enjoyed the matryoshka chocolate doll, its dark bitterness blending so well in conjunction with the hot chocolate. Enjoyed the nut cookie too. Haven't tried the pastry that we purchased but I'm sure it will be satisfactory.
My friend and I dropped by for hot chocolate for the hot cholate festival. The location is extremely convenient, being right across the bus loop at metrotown station. The place is really small, with only 5 small tables inside. The tables were extremely dirty. The hot chocolates...I got the Canadian one...the taste was definitely unique. Not bad, but I couldnt finish it. My friend also couldnt finish his hot chocolate. We should have read the ingredients more carefully. We didnt know there was dried durian. I found out that day I really dont like durian. Needless to say, we really did not like their hot chocolate this year.
The chocolate, cake and coffee here is so good???? I just love this place????
Love the dessert goods here! but a bit pricey.
I was in Burnaby this past Thanksgiving weekend visiting my student son, who requested a “real” cheesecake for his birthday. I found this place online, and it was close by so I ordered ahead. I must say how impressed we all were, as it was one of the best cheesecakes we’ve ever eaten! The shop was lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful. While I was only there to pick up a cake, I was very tempted to try a number of the pretty treats on display. Very delighted to find this lovely little place so close to where we visit. I will def be a repeat customer!
Cute little patisserie, with a very charming interior. And of course the cakes and pastries are too pretty, I always get mesmerized :P . I have tried 3-4 of their cakes and pastries, all of them were really fresh and decadent. If you want to have a special dessert or want a cake for an important occasion, then this is the place.
I am not a croissant fan...but this croissant(plain) is by far the best I ever had. I can eat a whole piece in a min. and more... Mon Paris ..plesae continue making this and do Not change the formula...I will still buy it if it cost more.????❤️❤️
Always wonderful ❤️
Definitely recommend you to try Russian honey and vanilla macaroon. Those are sooo delicious????
Very unique little cakes. Loved the options. But the front counter staff wasn't very friendly
(Translated) Expensive (Original) 값 비싸다
Amazing place, best pastry, chocolates and cakes in the area! Such nice staff ????
Delicious flaky pastries. The filling in the cherry turnover was perfect - not too sweet and not too sour. I’ve never seen a pasty with this much filling. It was such a delight. I think the price is more than reasonable for the time, effort, and butter that goes into these works of arts. Will be back for sure!
I was amazed by the cuteness of their chocolate boxes! The chocolates are without a doubt having high quality with great appearance. I got a box from a friend and we try them the first time together. Both of us came back to the store and get another one each. A bit pricy but you’d get what you pay for! Love it!
This is the best bakery I've ever been to! I love how flakey the croissants are, and that every thing is fresh baked and tastes authentic. From the pastries, to the individual cakes, to the drinks, everything is of superb quality. I love this small place and would recommend it to everybody.
Coffee is delicious and the pastries are to die for. My favourite is the chocolate croissant.
Elena (the owner and master baker) is AWESOME. This place is a gem for a bakery-lover like me.
Good place to get coffee after drive near happy city
Macarons are rock hard, it was like biting into a dense cake pop-probably a few days old and for $2.00 a piece, it’s not worth it. Go to BON MACARON instead.
I tried canelle here today. And it was good. If you are looking for crispy one, just to let you know here’s is chewy than crispy. But the taste and scent of itself was satisfying. When I was waiting to order, I saw their cakes and they look so yum hahaha. Want to come back to try their cake!!
Bakery perfection! So many amazing pastries from this place, I can't keep myself away....not sure that's such a good thing ;) It's about time we had a specialty shop like this in Burnaby! So happy I don't have to commute for miles to pick up some outstanding quality and beautifully decorated pastries etc. I'll definitely make this my go to place!
Tried chocolate eggnog log - super cake!! Excellent customer service!
Love this place.
Best pastry ever! Everyone is so nice there as well. It's a real treat to sit outside and have a pastry and a coffee or latte as I did.
Delicious French pastry and cake, a little sweet though.
wow, best crosants in town!
All pastries from this place are the best. Quality and price the best in all metro Vancouver. My favorite bakery. Customer service great and pastries super delicious.
This morning I was craving for croissants then I thought I would pick up croissants and pastries from Mon Paris Patisserie. There were already people lining up outside before they open. Oh my god, the butter croissant is so good, freshly baked, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Amazing!
Chocolates: tiramisu just taste like a less flavored version of the ferrero rocher, my roommate tasted the earl grey chocolate and said it taste like any other chocolate from a walmart chocolate box, my least favorite is the mandarin dark chocolate did not like it one bit, but the one I found most interesting was the sesame... didn't love it or hate it, it was just interesting. If you want to buy chocolate from here, my favorites were any of the yogurt ones + Granita was good too in my opinion but my roommate found too sweet. After reading the reviews on here I decided to replace Mon Paris with Chez Christophe and will also recommend Chez to others, since it's the true love of sharing everyone French desserts with love. I find it hard to digest desserts when the moment is ruined with someone who lacks basic social skills and professionalism. It's disgusting and unattractive which makes Mon Paris only a one time thing. I don't care how certain desserts taste, I get repulsed by poor service and it's too over powering to enjoy any dessert.
Where do I begin? This French Patisserie has an excellent selection of true French pastries. I never thought I would find a croissant here in Canada that was made exactly as the French make them. I was thrilled! Then I decided to try the macarons and the hand made chocolates. They are to die for! The young woman who makes everything from scratch has such a talent and such skills. She truly has perfected the art of making French pastries better than some I have tasted in France. If you truly want to taste the real thing, visit this Patisserie. I am hooked and will be going back quite frequently. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
One of a kind place with great service!
Its good but not the best. They cannot keep the quality.
The best chocolates you've never tried! Unique and beautifully made. Burnaby's best kept secret.
The best
Cute little pastry shop across from Metrotown! Ordered the 8” passionata cake online ($65) and picked it up easily in store. The cake itself is absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. I ordered it for my mom’s birthday and they added a cute little message for me. Definitely recommended!
Quick and unassuming service quality. Fell in love with the Passionata dessert!.
Cute French pastry shop. It's nice to see one outside of downtown or Broadway area. Located in residential area behind Metrotown and pricing is on par with other pastry shops. Everything I've tried has been really good. Definitely recommend.
Great place!
I went to pick up my order and saw the writing on the birthday cake was pretty ugly, so I requested to have it re-write. The old blond lady said it doesn't look ugly and say it's only in my mind. What on earth do you say this to a customer? Aint you suppose to satisfy everyone who comes in? Anyways she re-do it but it's the same. I will never come back here, because I wasn't satisfy with her attitude and not able to accept customer request or the word UGLY!!
Cute and tasty innovative selection of deserts, chocolates and treats. However service is below par. Was not greated when i walked in. There 4 people behind the counter and not one of them smiled or said a word until I forced eyed contact to make my order. Felt uncomfortable to stay in the store for longer than a few minutes because of the non-friendly vibe. Very good chocolates but i won't be going back for a while.
Very good coffee and pastries!
This is an amazing quaint patisserie! Their almond croissants are phenomenal ???? Service is great and staff are super friendly!
First time in this place I was looking for something different and the place is really nice, girl who attended me was super friendly and the patisseries are to die for good found you won't regret to try them
Nice place, awesome bakeries. Don't miss their lunch selection sandwiches.
Cute and delicious cakes. Fair priced cakes for how they look and taste :)
We've ordered two cakes from here so far, la rose and the chocolate/raspberry. Excellent!
This place is so good I drove 40 minutes just to have their macaroons. They have a variety of flavors and always fresh. Give it a try if you're nearby :D
Pastries are great but their coffee is terrible. The americano misto was way too hot to even take a sip and was so watered down you couldn't taste the coffee
Great quality desserts with out having to go to downtown to get them
really nice place
Great selection and out of this world quality. Their sit in options and take away baked goods and chocolates impress anyone who has seen them.
Great patisserie in the area. Very friendly staffs.
Desserts were delicious, I really enjoyed the caneles
They have so many good and yummy selection of French pastries and desserts. A nice cafe with limited seats. There are some pay parking along the street in front of the cafe. Girls there are very friendly and patience.
friendly staff, Not too sweet dessert. Good place
Cakes are the best!
Like in Paris! ???? ????
Bad customer service, good pastries, unwelcoming vibe.
Too expensive for so little amount and not good quality
Hidden gem in the Metrotown area, was running an errand and stopped by.. tried the chocolate croissant and the matcha cherry croissant both were unlike anything I’ve ever tried… definitely will be revisiting this local gem.. highly recommend
I went here on Dec 6th while walking around Metrotown and, I felt like getting myself a cake. This place was so cute and clean as the decor really captured my attention. They also have lunch specials as well as cakes and Macarons. Passionata cake was $6 which is expensive and I think that's moderate price for most places. Passionata cake was yummy and citrusy it felt refreshing after having some greasy food. Great place go if you want cute fancy tasty desserts. Staff was helpful with service and wifi. So many beautiful desserts to try! I wish I could try all of them.
The best Macarons I have ever had and I eat a lot of them.
(Translated) It is a place that makes and sells very tasty dessert cakes and breads. It is highly recommended to visit. (Original) 아주맛 이 좋은 디저트 케익과빵 을 직접 만들어서 파는곳 입니다, 방문해 보시길 적극 추천합니다.
The macarons i bought was pretty good, not the best but pretty good. That's what the 2 stars are for. The lack of stars is for the lack of service and friendliness. The girl behind the counter couldn't even fake a smile, very short and abrupt. With the multitude of cafes in this area, i will not be coming back here due to her attitude. She saw me trying to get water and the water container was empty and she just stared at me and didn't offer to fill it.
Great taste, great services, not bad :)
Best macaroons and cheesecake ever had
Love this place. It's a little gem with lots of good deserts and pastries. Prices are decent.
This is my first chocolate "Crazy Rich Pandan" for chocolate festival. Very disappointing for the high price paid for half filled lukewarm bulk prepared pandan chocolate liquid mixture and half with a can of whipped cream, 2 pieces of durian flavor cracker and piece of fan shape chocolate with no coconut dusting.
I can certainly say it's not only beautiful outside but it's very delicious inside! Definitely recommend!
Lovely staff and yummy pastries for a good price!
My favourite place to get coffee and croissants from. Their croissants are very buttery and I love it :)
Altough the product was good the woman who served me could not have been less interested, actually bordering on rude. I won't return - there are too many other places where your patronage is welcomed.
Ordered a "La Rose" cake yesterday. When I arrived, I presume the cake chef was upset at something cause there was a lot of yelling involved so I wanted to get out quickly but when I got home I realized they must have given me someone else's happy birthday cake label because the names were wrong. The cake itself was pretty good though
Tasty cakes and pastry
Such wonderful people made my husband beautiful tasty 65 birthday cake
The place is bright and elegant. I was greeted right away as I walked in. Unfortunately the matcha latte was very watered down and the macarons (pistachio and lavender) were mainly empty shells - luckily the taste of the lavender macaron was pleasantly aromatic.
Delicious! The London fog is also very good if you don't want to drink coffee.
Great coffee and pastry.
Delicious and beautiful cakes
Nice cozy cafe by Metrotown. Chocolates and desserts were good but the coffee seem a little bland!
Best bakery in metro area.
Real art! Love this bakery and their Spanish Late.
Tasty offerings for the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival. Yummy!
You should definitely try this sweets paradise. Tiny coffee shop with rich variety of stunning and delicious sweets.
Good
Their Tiramisu is to die for!! I keep going back just for that. The ambiance is so cute. Transports you to Paris when you are in there.
Ordered on their website once and on Ubereats once. Delivery in Burnaby is $12 on their website. But you have to order 2 days in advance. Uber eats’ delivery cost is about the same including the tips to the driver. But you can order any time! Their croissants are tasty! I also like the raspberry galette very much. I am looking forward to try other pastries that they have!
Can't lose here.
