I love Trafiq! They have a nice selection of cakes and sweets that you can never go wrong with. Quality is consistent, staff are friendly. I love their maple coffee cake and get it every time! :) Highly recommend this little local bakery.

Vanfoodiepharmily

Thanks to @hotchocolatefest, we had an excuse to drop by @trafiqmain to enjoy the treats! If you are brave enough to head out cold, drop by here for something warm! . . ???? Mexico: Diego and Frida - white chocolate, sweet and condensed milk, cinnamon and a hint of rose . . Photo credit: RF .

Ordered a Red Velvet cake from them for my gf's birthday and it was one of the best cakes we have ever tried. It was not too heavy and not too sweet. Girlfriend went for 3rd slice.

Caroline Carson

Am often here as its near where I live. Good lunch. Nice bakery. Lovely coffee. You d better have a good appetite as the sandwiches are huge! Can be very busy...

Kayle Gordon

Absolutely loved it. Being an Australian Coffee lover it's hard to find a really good latte. This place however was exceptional. Cakes were delicious to. Go here!

Riya Sharma

We tried the Hot Chocolate Festival offerings and were very impressed. The cheesecake that accompanied my drink was amongst the best I've had, just rich enough without being overwhelming and super flavourful. Definitely want to come back and try their other cakes - the slices are a little intimidating in size, but we'll come prepared. They also have a sandwich menu that looks very interesting. Also, for a place as busy as this one, I appreciated how kind and cheerful the staff were. :)

calvin wong

Tasty mixed drinks and tiny tarts.

Ivana Ilic

Delicious cakes - we tried Zen and Earl Grey and they were super delicious, layers are light and fillings were fluffy, not overly sweet, perfectly paired with delicious cappuccinos. Kids had lemon square, chocolate chair mini and creamy carrot cake square and hot chocolate and those were good. I found the hot chocolate to be a bit overly sweet. Fast service, reasonable prices. Place is quite popular, so be prepared for the line up for order and possibly wait for the table to sit. Staff is friendly and very customer oriented. Overall great experience. We will be back for sure.

Carlie Ball

One of the best cafes in town. Casual yet polished atmosphere. To-die-for cake and dessert selection all made in house. Really good sandwiches and coffee, too. Just fantastic all around. Expect a Saturday line up, worth the wait.

Hanna Menon

The carrot cake is to die for and the Green Goddess sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The food is always fresh, the staff is lovely and polite and warm. I always make it a point to stop by Trafiq when I am on Main St.

Dana Sullivan

They have amazing cake, but their sandwiches are surprisingly very good also. The cake slices are perfectly crafted and very generous, not mini-slices like you'll see at many trendy/modern bakeries. They also have full cakes available for purchase - it's better to pre-order but I think you can also walk in and buy one. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Nithimas Kirativiboolwong

Very cute and delicious mini tarts The service also great I went here on Saturday afternoon still have plenty of seats

Cindy Canosa

Delicious cakes as well as sandwiches and coffee. It does get very busy and is sometimes hard to find a table.

David Scherk

The best bakery in Vancouver, and super friendly people too!

Andy Lau

Best chocolate cake in Vancouver.

Suman Sall

The salted caramel cake is to die for! We get it for so many of my families special occasions. I love their other pastries too such as their coffee cake, the bars and cookies. Recently had their lemon bar...so good!

Joshua Lee

The best cakes ever. The prices are super reasonable and the cake slices are huge! Their vanilla caramel cake and tiramisu cakes are the best in my opinion! Their coffee is good too. I always come by here whenever I'm in the neighbourhood.

Kristi Fuoco

Delicious cakes of all sizes (love the mini ones) and amazing hot drinks and sandwiches. They are one of the best stops of the Hot Chocolate Festival. My only wish is that it was bigger inside since it’s always packed.

B K

Amazing sandwiches, coffee and cake! Earl grey cake was delicious. Would definitely re visit

Keith Law

Got to build my own sandwich!

SheShe PoohPooh

Great cafe! It's a bit pricey and always crowded. But the waits aren't too bad, and the food is delish! I highly recommend the caramel hot chocolate when they have it. It tastes like liquid candy, and at the same time isn't too sweet.

Franklin B

Lovely mini cakes????

Jessica Neathway

We had a delicious lunch of lemon lavender cake and a ham and cheese croissant. The cake was amazing. The sandwich was pretty good, I found the salad to be overdressed though. The seating was a bit tricky was a two year old and a stroller (my fault). They do have a great family washroom though.

Meghana Reddy

Ordered salted caramel cake for my husband’s birthday from here, it was a hit! The cake was beautifully made, it had a rich salted caramel flavour, with chocolate mousse. Picked up butter and a chocolate croissants, they were buttery and flaky, super good! Service was super friendly and my order was ready to pick up as per schedule. I found some discomfort in picking up the cake during usual work hours(pick up available only from 10am-2pm). I had to rush here during my lunch break, would have preferred to be able to pick something up after 4pm. Also, cakes cannot be customized. Not everybody might like what they offer. No phone calls will be answered during their regular hours, one can only communicate via email. This isn’t the fastest mode of communication when you might want to reach them right away! Despite these odds, enjoyed their products.

Kayla Jow

Ordered 6 of the mini cakes. They were so delicious. Will return to sit in for the coffee and grub!

Lanei L

makes yummy cakes and pastry. long wait but so worth it. they make custom cakes too. recommend it if you can get a seat in the cafe.

Anson Li

Came here for their decadent cakes. Priced currently at $6+ per slice or $35+ for the whole cake. Very fresh creams, excellent filling to cake ratio. Parking in the area can be tricky.

Tiff Y.

Trafiq has been a local cafe and bakery that I have been going to for a few years. I absolutely love their sandwich plates when you eat in and their assortment of cakes. Workers there are friendly, easy to talk to, and happy to help. Any time someone asks me where to purchase a cake, Trafiq always comes to mind.

KC M

Just good cakes with great service here without a doubt

TT S

Best carrot cake I've ever had. The coconut moose cake was very nice too. Their cakes aren't so sweet and you can take the ingredients. The coffee cake was not that special but not bad. Coffee was OK.

Claire Hendrick

The cakes are definitely the best seller for me. I always come here to order personalized birthday cakes, the price is quite cheap for the level of quality and flavours they offer.

Samson John Nicholas

The best cake I have had in Vancouver hands down. It was a birthday cake for my wife. I ordered the Salted Caramel and have no words to describe. Simply awesome and to me " the best" in Vancouver. Everyone who had a piece of the cake just became a fan of Trafiq!

Zachary Proulx

Came in for the hot chocolate festival feature, both delicious. Deserts were also fresh, inventive and yummy. Loved it!

Doug Cosenzo

The staff were very friendly and service was great. I was very comfortable enjoying my coffee and bun. A great stop for a rainy day.

Shweta Mann

The Peanut crunch brownie is super good! Definitely reccomend coming here and trying their baked goods

Caleb Lee

I've tried the walnut coffee cake and the salted caramel cake, and both were amazing! I actually tried (and loved) the salted caramel cake when my sister bought it for my niece's second birthday party, so I decided to bring it as a dessert to a celebratory dinner I had with some friends. My friend had no room in his fridge for the leftover cake, so I took it back home with me. (Not a problem for me! :) ) The next day, my friend texted me, telling me his wife and daughter had thought it was one of the best cakes they had ever had! They wanted to know where I had bought it from. Happy to make a referral! :) Update (Dec. 21, 2019): I've been meaning to add that the Lemon Lavender cake is superb as well--delicate flavors and a touch of sweetness. Mmm... Will be sharing this one with my friends this year.

Kinan Bennett

The owners are extremely helpful. They are super accommodating and they always call back when you leave a message. As for the cakes, just delicious

Trafiq is a small street cafe on Main featuring sandwiches & soup, baked goods and espresso. You can get a bite, a sweet and coffee for less than $15 average. Very casual - order at the counter & then find a seat. I highly recommend it for a quick bite when cruising Main Street. One of my favourite sandwiches is the Green Goddess ($9) - thick slabs of bread made on-site, chicken, guacamole, brie, sprouts. Other favourites are the quiche (any flavour) and the quesadillas. You can also get toast done sweet with jam or savoury, with things like avocado spread & feta (Aussie Toast). Yum! I've never had a bad treat here. My kids love the Monkey Bread - which is fat, moist and has a bit of chocolate in it. There's a wide variety of choices here - about 8 different cakes, various cookies, eclairs, tarts, and brownies. Seating is tight. It's very busy in here all times of day. There's space for maybe 40 people, kind of squished. There are a couple places where parties of 4 or more could sit, but mostly it's 2 tops. Kid friendly.

Andrew Poon

Came here because we were looking for a breakfast spot near my house and was not disappointed. We had lattes, breakfast quesadilla, avocado toast, and chocolate chip cookie... everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and the neighbourhood is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Definitely coming back soon and trying some of the cakes etc..

Farzad Panahi

I wish I could rate you guys higher but your cake quality is absolutely not acceptable for the price you are charging. I expect a $35 cake not to taste like some cheap cake I get from a cheap supermarket and unfortunately that is exactly how the base of your cake tastes like. You have a nice touch on the topping you add but it cannot hide the poor quality of the actual cake underneath. You need to change your source for the base or get someone who knows baking better to fix this for you. One more thing contributing to the poor quality is the excessive switness which some argue is subjective but I don't think any serious cake lover would appreciate it. I should say that the decoration is good inside. Nice staff. I have not tried anything else other than the earl grey cake. I really hope you guys improve on the cake quality and raise the bar for others too.

Pandora Young

Excellent quality food and services. Good place for a quick bite - amazing variety of sandwiches, and coffee.

Christina W.

Great cakes and very nice place to sit and have a coffee. Nice and spaci, not a cramped tiny spot with side by side tables which is great

David Greer

My second time eating here. Trafiq is a very popular lunch spot in Saturday’s. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my BEC on Focaccia which was delicious. Egg with bacon and a spicy tomato sauce. What really hits you when you arrive is the bakery treats. From giant slices of carrot cake, mini-cakes, cookies, and more. I tried a three choice tasting plate of the mini-cakes which were absolutely fabulous.

cece

Love their food

Paul Dante

Wonderful cakes, both individual and 6"-8" in size. A good amount of seating in a bright space. Friendly staff and they donated a cake to the charity I was volunteering for, so that was a big check for them.

Eddy _

I ordered a cake from Trafiq on a friend's recommendation. Well, I was so happy he did as the cake was amazing. We ordered a small salted caramel cake. Highly recommended. Fyi, remember to order 48hrs in advance, and they close early.

Denise de Ocampo

Unique and fresh cake flavours, excellent quality for a reasonable price

Danny Yoo

A hipster cafe that remembers what it was like before hipster was a thing. The croissant bread pudding banana loaf is definitely a must-try. Excellent coffee backed by a choice selection of desserts.

Junelia May Chey

My favourite place to buy a cake????

Maggie Jialing Wei

The best cake. The best breakfast/brunch sandwiches. Amazing coffee. Marvelous service. Beautiful storefront. I just love it. It's our favorite spot for quick Sunday brunch in the city.

Patricia Zhou

Super friendly staff. Their pastries and cakes are top notch. The earl grey cake is a family favourite. We tried the salted caramel cake for the first time today. We were worried it may be too sweet because you can smell the caramel in the car. But the flavour was just right!

Edwin Nathaniel

Love em. Good price point, not too sweet, good varieties.

Fiona Wong

Time of visit: weekday afternoon Food: 4.6/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Would recommend: yes Trafiq was pretty good. We had the lavender lemon cake and it was tasty. They seem to have so many amazing desserts and I'd like to try more but I dont see myself going out of my way to come back.

Haeri Kim

Tried the lemon lavender and salted caramel cake today, both were so delicious.

Jason Leacox

Cake was a hit! High quality and delicious ingredients. Hassle-free ordering and friendly people. Most people at the part had already heard of Trafiq and it definitely exceeded expectations.

Byron Cho

We come here for lunch after visiting Westcoast kids. Great bread desserts and sandwiches! I'd come back for sure.

tony stork

Bad service

Jasmine Li

Consistently good and affordable cakes. The cake slices are generously sized so the value is great, especially compared to other bakeries in the city.

I recently ordered a cake from Trafiq for my wife's Birthday. The Cake was amazing and everyone enjoyed it, most importantly my wife did. We had the Salted Caramel Cake. Picking up the cake was fairly smooth, given then COVID-19 issues. However, when I got home I realized that I hadn't asked whether or not the cake needed to be put in the fridge as it was sitting on a cake rack waiting for me to pick it up, granted during a specified time frame. In any respect I was unsure. I tried calling, no one answered, I searched their web page for an answer under the Cake I bought and under their FAQ page - No information. So I kept calling with the hopes that someone would just pick up as it wasn't very busy inside and I didn't get an email response, oh yes I also emailed the question. Finally someone picked up. It was at this time my experience changed. The gentleman who answered the phone yelled at me that I had called 10 times. I told him I was trying to get an answer and no method was working. What am I supposed to do risk ruining a $45 Cake? He continued his bitter rant and told me "ALL OF OUR INFORMATION IS ON OUR WEB PAGE". I told him I had looked through the web page and didn't see anything. All in all a great cake was ruined by a horrible experience with either an employee or maybe the owner I have no idea, no name was provided. So in the end, I will never go to this place again strictly on the basis of this brutal experience. I did write another email to them the same day this all happened however I never received a response. Since this was almost two weeks ago I don't expect to get a response. I would have given a better rating but Businesses need to understand that Customer Service is important, especially when you're charging a lot of money for a good product.

Ash

I've been following them on insta and was craving to try their Madagascar cake. I bought one slice of that and another from chocolate decadent. Both cost me $15.50. It was a generous slice of cake. Moist and thick and the mousse was so light and creamy. Their cakes are well balanced and what I liked the most was that it didn't taste too sweet. Cannot wait to try more...

Shaemas Lal

Really friendly atmosphere, coffee was great and food looked delicious even though I didn't partake. If you need a caffeine fix, ask for a 16oz Americano... you don't be disappointed.

Wendi Laing

Lovely service and not some pretentious hipster joint. Just great coffee and amazing food.

Sue R.

Had Raspberry Chocolate Cake and Earl Grey Cake. They were moist and yummy. My all time favourite is the Early Grey Cake.

Hollie Ha

Extremely shocked and dissaponted in trafiq's customer service and care. They are clearly not equipped to handle their online ordering service with competence. I have been a lover and supporter of trafiq's cakes for years, and recently ordered 3 slices of cake from their online store thinking it would be more convinient - IT IS NOT. I realized after placing the order that I had accidentally selected the incorrect date (their calendar on the website is not layed out as the regular Sunday-Saturday calendar that mostly every other platform is). Not even 10 mins after I placed my order, I emailed them to ask if I could either change the date of pickup, or cancel the order. I also tried to call multiple times that day and the next morning to no avail since they do not answer their phone during service hours - which is also very strange. The next morning, I recieved an email saying, 'Unfortunately we are unable to change your order, We will see you tomorrow.' Since I was not going to be in Vancouver to pick up the cakes the next day, I emailed them back requesting a cancellation of the order, and informing them that I was not going to be in the city to be able to pick them up. I recieved an email back that said 'Unfortunately as clearly stated on our website we do not offer refunds or cancellations. See you tomorrow,' I was completely shocked as this response showed no basic customer service etiquette or care. They did not even read or chose to ignore me saying I was clearly going to be out of the city - and offered zero empathy, or ways to rectify the situation. I sent an email expressing my frustration, and received an email back with the following : "We are a small business and unfortunately we try our best to accommodate changes. In your case we are unable to do so because of the timeline (less than 48 hours) and we cannot re-add them to the inventory on the website. We try to be clear throughout the ordering process on our online store and mention our policy several times. It is clear that you are upset and for that I am sorry. If you want to give your cake slices to a friend as you are going to be out of town please let us know and we will change the name on the order." A few things about this response that is wildly frustrating: - 48 hours notice, to change the pick up date of 3 slices of cake? Not even a custom order by any means - slices of cake that I could have just gone in and picked up without even ordering online?? - 'we cannot re add them to the inventory on the website' - this is their inability and lack of resource and knowledge. Just because they are technologically untrained to properly handle their own ecommerce system, does not make a reason to take your customers money, and not fix a situation. - there is no checkbox to agree to terms of service, or review them before checkout - keeping customers money without providing them the service or product that they paid for is UNACCEPTABLE, not even issuing store credit is terrible customer practice. - 'I'm sorry you're upset' is not an apology, and certainly is not best practice for dealing with customer complaints. I hope that trafiq can learn and improve, however I will NOT be returning as a customer, and am deeply put off and dissaponted.

The service, food and ambiance here are simply amazing. 10/10!! The schnecken is an absolute must try. Delicious, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, with a sticky toffee and nut drizzle on top. The coffee is delicious too and well made. Service is so friendly and genuine. Gets busy over the weekends with families and brunch. But their food is just wonderful - every single thing on the menu is divine.

PK Lee

Great place for dessert and Americano especially the carrot cake. Regular drip coffee s not that good but all other coffees are good. Their coffee cake is also nice with a hot drink.

Via Hope

Best cake! Always take to parties and I don't normally like cake.

D A

We got the ultimate lemon bar and the pecan chocolate coffee cake. The lemon bar was just the right amount of zesty and creamy, pretty decent size too. The coffee cake was SO GOOD, it had nice texture contrast with some nice caramelized crust and so much fluffy interior and that thing was MASSIVE. I did not complain about it. Service was extremely agreeable. Bomb place, will definitely go back.

JIJU

Best cake in BC every time I went to main st, I have to come to here for a slice of cake

Angelique A

Staff super kindly, foods and beverage very good. A perfect coffee

Annie Park

Avoid peak mea times and weekends, it can get very hectic. Service is generally great and the owner is wonderful but I have seen one of the older women berate a younger staff for a pretty small mistake. Not a good look.

Andy Aras

The cakes looked beautiful, however I was disappointed with the two I tried. The coconut cake tasted too strongly like artificial flavour and the whipping cream frosting on the lemon lavender slice had turned hard and stale. Maybe I was just unlucky with my choices.

Bernard Higham

Traffiq excels at making delectable delights. Plus they keep rolling out samples of their baking; surest method to start a serious bakery addiction. ????

Lucy Yep.

This place is the best making the most soft and flavoured pastries in all vancouver. At Trafiq, you can enjoy quality ingredients, perfect balanced flavours and the best part: big portions! You can feel the love in these home made desserts. You must try them! 100% recommended! These deliciousness will never disappoint you!

Vancouver Barista

High quality cakes (big wedge) and grilled sandwiches (their own bread). Everything we had tasted very fresh. Service was friendly, experienced. Busy and high energy. Definitely recommend.

Michelle

Loved the earl grey lemon cake.

Tamara J. Photography

A café to sooth your sweet tooth!! The display of their confections is mouth watering and their portions are big enough for two (or more). It tends to get really busy but it’s worth the wait! Definitely a jewel of a restaurant in Vancouver’s inner city. ❤️

Carlos Pan

Tried the lemon lavender and salted caramel cake today, both were so delicious. The taste was so well balanced that doesn’t make u feel that they r dumping sugar at you. The salt caramel was really powerful and I would recommended to everyone I know who likes dessert. ????

Sentwali Lewis

No matter what your appetite desires Trafiq will fulfill your needs. All the food on the menu is amazing and their desserts are out of this world. This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or just a quick snack.

Andreas Lerch

Lovely staff and atmosphere, there was lots of seating and the line moved quickly. The carrot cake is amazing and the sandwich’s were also awesome.

Sarah Hildebrand

Our neighbourhood go to for amazing sandwiches and desserts! If you are a caramel fan you will LOVE the schnecken! Wonderful and friendly owners and staff. I take everyone that visits us from out of town here and they always love it. Kid friendly. My husband and I just adore this place!

Caro T

Best iced americano I had in a long time, with good taste and texture. Their mushroom ciabatta is good too. However, I tried their avocado toast with egg souffle but that wasn't fresh nor tasty. I'd recommend sticking to coffee and sweet treats. I always had friendly service here.

Charlene Puche

The best ever!! I got my friend a 6" lemon lavender cake for her birthday and my mom a 6" chocolate decadence cake for mother's day and they loved it! They were such delicious cakes made to perfection. The staff is really friendly and nice and the space is modest and comfortable. When I stopped by, I got myself a ham and swiss croissant and it was just satisfying sandwich snack. Trafiq never disappoints!

Dustin MacLeod

So good!

Matthew

Great coffee. Great baking. Added bonus, unlike everywhere else on the block, they actually display prices.

Desy Cheng

So our friend's brought over some dessert and we got to try an assortment of desserts! Going to rate them in order of what I liked: 1.) Strawberry Shortcake. Wow. Best I've ever had... EVER 2.) London Fog tart. something different, but delicious! 3.) Banana Cream Pie. mmmm, classic and bite sized. 4. ) Carrot cake. Soo this one is different. Not your typical 'cake' texture. It's more like a cheesecake / fudge texture. It was good, but not the best carrot cake I've had. 5.) Black Forest. Different texture, it doesn't have any 'cake' elements to it. The bottom chocolate part was delicious though!

Arpy D

Amazing sandwiches on a wide range of homemade breads. The wide sandwich options and dedication to quality make this the perfect cafe... Also the sweets!

Jennie Yan

Trafiq never disappoints with their cakes! We ordered the lemon blueberry cake for my mom's milestone birthday and everyone LOVED IT. Not too sweet, creamy frosting, and the subtle flavours really shone through. I've also had their salted caramel cake in the past which was equally as divine.

Linh L

Love this spot on Main Street. Coffee, dessert and sandwiches. They make it fresh here. Friendly staff and kid friendly. You gotta eat their California club sandwich.

Cassie Xiong

We ordered 3 cakes for our wedding ('cause why have 1 cake when you can have 3?). Everyone loved the cakes, they were delicious and survived the 1 hour transport to Squamish. The experience of ordering the cakes online was also very smooth. Highly recommend!

Allan Carr

Always a busy place with excellent food and drinks. The make your own sandwich and Croissant sandwich are really good. They have a good selection of tasty sweets.

Angel Cao

Their cakes are a new take but waaaay too sweet

Rumina Fernando

Super tasty cakes and sandwiches, cant complain about anything.

Iris Afonso

Crazy delicious cakes. Good place to sit and relax with a pot of tea and cake. Also an active participant in the hot chocolate festival.

Daniel Politeski

Delicious baked goods, especially the cinnamon knots

Asger Sørensen

Everyone here is chatting and enjoying one anothers company, while sipping away at their cappuccinos. No one working on laptops or studying, which makes it a nice change compared to the other cafes along Main. Make sure to try one of their cakes. The pieces are more than big enough to share.

Liza Tse

love it. cakes are scrumptious. coffees are tasty. teas are delicious.

Richard Lo

Very delicious cakes! Especially loved the Mango Coconut.

Alma Jurado

Everything was delicious! The ingredients of the green goddess sandwich and ham & swiss croissant are amazing combinations with fresh vegetables. The dark chocolate and coffee chocolate cake are perfect as well. Looking forward to returning asap.

Came here for a cake last week. Bought a whole cake for a birthday and a coffee to go. Was told by the girl at the cash to wait by the delivery window. My wife and myself were simply standing at the back near the door. The old lady with the white hair working the sandwich station tells us to wait outside as we are blocking the door. We weren't blocking the door and there was no one coming in. I told her it's cold outside so she tell us to stand behind a couple who are dining in because we're "blocking the door". My wife is pregnant so I'm not letting her stand in the cold and we were in no way blocking anything. Because of this old lady who worked there with the white hair, I will not be coming back here. Loved the cakes and pastries. Would always buy whole cakes for birthday and other occasions but don't like the rudeness of the one staff member. Will ensure family members know about this experience.

Tom Thomas

Trafiq is the place to take yourself when you need a break from the general madness or you just want a delightful treat. This just maybe the best bakery in the lower mainland. I love their lattes and the fact that you can get a Mocha with either milk chocolate or dark chocolate. Their cakes are made with a special combination of magic a love. The Tiramisu cake is my favorite.

Gladys L

My favourite cakes ever! Homage to earl grey Lemon lavender

Jimmy Harjadi

Stopped for a quick bite and a cup of coffee. Their mini cheesecake was good and so was the dripped coffee.

Shawn Kim

rich flavor , not too sweet so i love it

Elton Chung

This is my 2nd day hanging out in the Main St as there are so many cafes and restaurants to explore. I came to this cafe today as I heard about their signature cakes. I came here with my friend and picked the Vanilla All Stars and Salted Caramel cake to share. The shop was almost full but it didn't take long for the cakes and coffee. The cakes are marvellous - perhaps the best cakes I have ever had since I come to Vancouver. The cakes ain't too sweet but the taste proved a good marriage of salted caramel and vanilla. The layers of flavour didn't cover each other but matched in harmony. Cappuccino and latte are great, especially after a few bites of cakes, the sweet flavours carried forward to the coffee and made it better. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and the environment is comfy with enough natural light. What you might expect is the chatting sounds around but it made a good vibe here. To conclude, no doubt - 5 stars for this cafe. Cakes are must-try.

Abhi Micheal

Best cakes,, a little pricey but worth it. Tax included ..

Rana Abhishek Singh

Awesome cake and dessert place!

If you’re looking for cakes in Vancouver, the place that everyone talks about is Trafiq. Operating a cafe on bustling Main Street, they offer up a variety of sandwiches, cakes, and pastries. Having never been to this place before, we dropped by in early December to get some sweet treats as well as lunch to go. They generally have a number of small 6-inch cakes available each day as well as slices of their 10-inch cakes but if you want to be sure, you should order ahead of time. I wanted to try a bunch of their different cakes so we picked a selection of their mini cake squares. But I couldn’t leave without ordering a slice of their Chocolate Decadence. This is definitely meant for people who have a sweet tooth and love chocolate… layers and layers of devil’s food cake is separated with bitter-sweet chocolate mousse and then covered in dark chocolate ganache. I think I just got a cavity from looking at this picture. For our lunch, we opted for the Ham and Swiss Croissant with a maple-dojon aioli and alfalfa sprouts. In addition, we added the California Club on Cranberry Pecan with roasted chicken, bacon, guacamole, sprouts, chipotle mayo and refried beans. I was a bit skeptical about the refried beans but they really worked in the sandwich. Really solid sandwiches here and their cakes are super too. If you’re not big into chocolate, try their carrot cake.

Simon Diemert

Great cafe style food. I had the “green goddess” sandwich (avacodo, Chicken, arugula, onion) which was quite tasty. The price is a bit high, but the portions are reasonably large.

Ben Young

The cakes and baked good are outstanding. A busy place on the weekends with a reasonable price for a sandwich and a good coffee! I really enjoyed the mini-cheesecake.

Sasha Van Wie

These are kind people setting out to do a good think with class and creativity in one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in town. Husband and wife team put a lot of love in their creations. Their debut hot chocolate festival flavours were equal parts rich and delicate. Choice!

Amanda Chan

I came to try out their hot chocolates for the festival. I normally don't like banana, but found that flavour very unique. The nuts were a bit weird to have in the drink. The chunky monkey came with the banana hot chocolate and it was my first time having one. It was strange and doughy. Overall I liked the coconut better. My favorite part was the nanimo bar that came with coconut hit chocolate. It was my first time having one that was so yummy, soft and with just the right amount of sweetness.

Matthew Morency

Good coffee! Also had the banana loaf and breakfast torta which were so tasty!!! Staff was very friendly too

Yunduz Rakhmangulova

Delicious everytime! Both sandwiches and cakes are wonderful, never disappoint! Salted caramel cake is my favorite!

Nancy Kwasty

I love this bakery/restaurant. The coffee and food items are delightfully tasty and rich. The staff are super friendly and quick.

Nauhie Kim

This place has amazing cakes. They are fresh and so tasty. One slice is big enough to share between 2-3 people. Their sandwiches are really good as well. Its very busy so there's a bit of line up.

Tortellini G

What's Vancouver? The people, the place, the company, the time you spend to remember what you are and your roots. In one word, sweet, well two words: sweetie pay!

Cecilia Daude

First impressions are everything, and Trafiq certainly surpassed my expectations from the moment we walked in! It had a nice modern Parisian feel to the interior and their menu offers some really unique delicious treats and sandwiches. We had an avocado toast and breakfast quesadilla, and the flavours and textures were so well-balanced and pleasurable to eat. Probably the best, most satisfying cafe food in Vancouver for me. Their coffee is also excellent and well made. The staff were efficient, attentive and cleared tables quickly. I am happy to see a place so well-run. I will be coming back regularly to try out the rest of their menu and have never been so excited to return to a cafe! :) Thanks for the great experience!

Jasmin V

First time coming here and I heard great things about their cakes (thanks to all the google reviews). Staff are friendly and pleasant. Not kidding about the size of the cake slice you receive. BETTER TO SHARE unless you're starving. Interior is nice and simple. Had only the earl grey cake with iced almond latte and really enjoyed it. Not too sweet and the aroma is just right. The bottom of the cake was a bit dry but overall, satisfying. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu haha!

Mitali Acharya

So so yummy!!! Super delicious food, great service and the owner Shauna is the sweetest person ever! Highly recommend this place and their chicken quesadilla! It's to die for ❤️❤️

Kimira Reddy

Ordered a cake a day before hubby's birthday and this was by far the best tasting chocolate cake I have had. I'm a huge fan of chocolate cake so this was definitely a treat. I would totally recommend these cakes. Very friendly staff too.

Angela Lee

Love their chicken quesadillas!

Alex Lloyd

Everything here is so delicious, especially the sandwiches and cakes! The staff are all so sweet and kind as well! My favourite bakery in Vancouver!!

Iris Liu

I ordered the "homage to earl gray" cake and it was absolutely delicious!! As someone who isn't a huge fan of earl gray tea, I was surprised at how much I loved this cake. The cake was also decorated beautifully (as were the other cakes). They also offer personalized plaques for your cakes if you order 24 hours ahead of time, which I will definitely take advantage of next time! The plaques are a little pricey ($4/ea) and the whole cakes are also a little pricey compared to cakes I usually buy, but they taste wonderful.

Robert Kent DesRochers

Fresh baked goods. Friendly service. Always busy. Reasonably priced. I wish they had larger outdoor seating.

Callie Service

Nutella banana bread with whipped Nutella butter. Incredible cakes. Excellent coffee. Huge cookies. Flavour-packed sandwiches. Go often and try everything. Their cakes are well-priced, and they've never disappointed. The salted caramel is out of this world!

Dean Loh

Friend introduced this place to me. Love the Lemon Lavender cake I had. Will definitely come back again with my kids!

Samuel Araki

Just an amazing pineapple upside down cake! And some amazing check escape bites (hello yuzu!) and a lemon square ????.

Elsie Blackman

Lemon treat lover? You must try the Ultimate Lemon Bar mini. I’ve never had a lemon bar that tastes this incredible! Best in Vancouver in my books!

Brianna Murphy

Great coffee and baked goods! Employees are super friendly. I always love going here and sitting in.

James Harrold

We needed a birthday cake at the last minute. No problem! Hadn't been in here before, and glad I did. When we picked up the cake, so many tasty looking treats on offer! Ended up staying for a sandwich (delicious) and coming back with my wife for brunch (also delicious). The cake (strawberry) was really good and we tried a couple of smaller slices as well (carrot and passion fruit/strawberry). So good! We'll be back...

Sian Pairaudeau

Super friendly, everything is super high quality. Great for coffee and homemade baked goods. Absolutely the best ever real eggnog latte.

Chantel C

Love going here either with a small group of friends, or even just for myself. The variety of baked goods here is soo good and reasonably priced especially for the portions. Expect large crowds over the weekend and a bit of a waiting time for seats.

Emma

Serve amazing cakes, good place to chill out! Love their carrot cake

Neshat M

UPDATE: I used to love this place after discovering it during the 2020 hot chocolate festival (picture attached). Unfortunately since then, I have found staff to be increasingly rude and unhelpful if you ask a product question, product quality has gone downhill, and hidden charges have appeared on my bill. Sad, especially as there are so many other great bakeries and coffee shops in the area.

Trona Garvie

Oh my... better sit before taking a bite. You're knees are going to buckle.

Michele Vincenti

Great food

Bernice絲絲

Cakes were great, but service was not that friendly. Feel like they didn’t want to work, or tired of doing the same things.

Abhishek Maheshwaram

My friend has always wanted to get a cake from Trafiq. He read a lot of good reviews about cake from Trafiq. To surprise him, we visited Trafiq to order his Birthday. There is a wide variety of food, bakery options. Cakes, coffee, sandwiches, biscuits, etc. Before ordering the we tried a slice of Tiramisu Cake. Honestly, I have had better Tiramisu before. This Tiramisu is good but did not hit me with any extra special flavor. Almost 4 layers in the cake with a lot of Mousse fillings, and covered with Butter Cream. We also ordered Cappuccino. And this is very good. Coffee at its best. Worth trying. We ended up ordering a Chocolate Decadence cake. We are sure it will be delicious as we asked a couple who was eating a slice. Food - 8 Ambience - 7 Service - 8 Price - $$ Experience -7

Utkarsh Bansal

Sergio is a very humble and great human being. The cakes are extremely delicious and tasty. Very gentle and friendly staff.

Jonathan Lim

Thank you Sergio and Co. My team and I were able to try some of the snacks that were baked by Trafiq. Every desert in the box was delicious. Support your local business! Highly recommended to family and friends. I will to stop by for lunch one day. Thank you again!

Jenekulotski

The best dessert place.

Douglas Haddow

I've been many times and it never disappoints. Fantastic coffee, great service and really good food.

Kevin Han

This place has amazing cakes with unique and bright flavours. They let their natural ingredients shine in both their desserts and beverages. I highly recommend trying them out!

Andy Fedorchuk

Best sandwiches in town. Great drinks. Cakes to die for. Amazingly friendly staff. I can't say enough positive things about Trafiq. You have to go!!

Aimée Cho

Super busy place for good reasons, all of them delicious and delightful. Come with your appetite and friends and be prepared to wait a bit, you won't be disappointed ????

Monica Kim

Their bread is really good. The avocado toast was fantastic!

Wei-Ting Lin

Great lattes, coffees, dessert, and friendly service! Their sandwiches are also delicious, with housemade bread and fresh ingredients. There's something for everyone, and it's all very reasonably priced! ♥️

Robert Napoli

Wonderful French baking and patisserie. Cakes are delicious, love the Earl Grey and Salted Caramel. A main street favorite for locals and visitors alike.

Amir Hosseinifar

Great place. The environment it's relaxing. Friendly staff and the quality of food is good.

Gutsylady Traveler

Based on the raving reviews I am happy that I ordered some cake slices for a birthday. Everyone loved the chocolate decadent cake, salted caramel, and Earl Grey cake. I also had the chunky monkey which was a delicious banana bread pudding. Everything was tasty! The cake was moist (even a day later) and the icing wasn’t too sweet. The cake slices are reasonably priced considering you’re getting a big slice for quality cake. You can order cake slices online which we did. Too bad they didn’t show have the other mini cakes online as I would have ordered more treats. I don’t know why they stated two pickup times (one in the morning and other in pm) as I would have picked up at a different time. A ideal spot to pickup some desserts and sandwiches for lunch or for a special occasion. There’s dine in and takeout available. There’s a good assortment of pastries and drinks. There’s metered parking on Main but there’s free parking further in on the side streets. It’s a busy place! I haven’t had a really good cake in awhile. Can’t wait to try their other treats! Too bad they’re only open Wednesday to Sundays from 10 am - 4 pm. They’re just off Main and King Edward.

Emily WG

This place impressed me. There was clearly a good attention to detail in everything, from the food to the menu to the decor. I'll have to come back at Christmas time because apparently they make their own egg nog. Yum.

Joy Bhattacharyya

Cute little bakery with amazing sandwiches, desserts, and bread!

Nestor Siu

They have a large selection of cakes, and dessert! Their Earl Grey latte was also very good, very creamy and flavourful. I tried their coconut matcha bar, and it was delicious! Note that it was also very rich, and sweet, so you might want to share it. It is a very busy place, with a constant line up at the cashier.

Beck

Amazing baked goods and cakes! I love it when its in the raspberry chocolate little cake they have with the brownie bottom! I love their sandwiches as well!

M C

I really enjoyed their cakes here. I specifically enjoyed the salted caramel and red velvet cake. I had the chocolate ganache but it was too rich for me. But I am sure it will be a hit for chocolate lovers. 4 stars because the sponge cake tasted like betty crocker cake mix (vanilla flavour). Texture could be improved. They should also offer the writing on the cake for free of charge. From I can remember, they were selling "happy birthday" for $4.

Natalie Stevens

I've come here a lot through the years. They have top quality food, the sandwiches and cakes are to die for! I highly recommend the california club sandwich. You must try them out. You won't be disappointed!

J P

The earl grey cake was good and pretty unique but their service needs work. The few staff I dealt with weren’t warm, welcoming or friendly. The cake and the pastries in store were very expensive and slightly overpriced in my opinion (so was the $4 custom writing plaque, where many bakeries do the writing for free)They could really improve by improving service and trying to reduce price or offer something to justify their high price.

J W

Been coming here since they opened. When they first opened, it was a relief to finally have a place in the neighbourhood that was bakery first and you can have your coffee as an accompaniment. As opposed to the many coffee shops around that have good coffee and crummy (dry and non-creative) baked goods that they've whipped up on the side. Trafiq is top notch for their cakes and pastries. I often get their cake for events, and the cake always gets compliments. The staff themselves are top notch in their customer service - with friendly faces and genuine warmth. I do enjoy sitting in the shop with my walnut cake and a cup of Americano.

Phil Bubis

Great latte and even better croissant. You can't go wrong!

Stella Lee

A very nice Cafe place. The early grey chocolate cake was amazing. It was full of flavour and the aroma of the early grey was tasted throughout the cake. The slice of cake was also of a decent size and can be shared. Will definitely try other cake slices next time.

Michemai

Very long lineup but it always moved, so your wait wasn't long. Was there for the hot chocolate festival and both flavours were excellent. Would do again ????

Lama Al Amoudi

I tried the Salted Caramel and Early Gray cakes, I expected a nice quality taste as written by the reviewers, some how I didn’t find it that great, nor does my kids or my husband, the cream thickness & sweetness need to be less.

Annie C

Love the cakes here. They are all good but if I had to choose it'd be the chocolate decadence. Pastries and coffee are great also. Good amount of seating but they do get busy. They have a few tables outside as well. Staff are friendly. Family friendly. Large bathroom with a standing change table for baby is a plus.

Natasha A

I found this hidden gem a few years ago and haven't stopped going back! Great food and even better cakes! Never been disappointed!

Sunshine P

We just ordered a cake from Trafiq to celebrate and it was a huge hit! My sister is not even an Earl Grey tea fan and she is sold. The cake was moist and full of flavour. Be sure to order in advanced as they sell out quickly. This is our go-to when we want a delicious cake.

heather ng

Not the bit least sincere, terrible service. Whether staff or owner, they act like the own the world. Don't appreciate the condescending tone and being talked down to, utmost disrespect ever. For the quality of cakes, I can easily go elsewhere with decent and more sincere level of service.

Monica N. Tangphatorn

Yum!!!! And very pretty wish I could order them all at once

Carly Grieve

Obsessed with the club sandwich. Fast, tasty and I'd said reasonably priced!

Sarah M.A.

Good cakes, terrible customer service! A young blonde lady told me to come any day in the early morning to get the salted caramel caramel cake. Surprisingly, same lady was there in the morning and She told me to come in the afternoon because they haven’t unboxed yet!!!!!!

Andrew Henry

One of our favourite places on Main St. Great breakfast and baked goods. And the staff are super friendly.

Kary Ko

At Trafiq: Walnut coffee cake + fresh fruit tea $9.75 for both Heard lots of good things about it and it certainly earned its reputation! Definitely taste the walnut flavour but the coffee flavour was a bit weak. Taste like the Chinese walnut butter cake and it’s not too sweet. That bottom layer of crunch really adds into the texture! Soft and crunchy with little walnut crumbs! ???? Hopefully next time they have the matcha tart!

E Chen

My favourite coffee shop

James Cho

Finally found a bakery who knows how to make great cakes! Great coffee as well. Two thumbs up

David Lee

Best cafe and bakery among I have been to. I have been to most of popular cafe in the states, South Korea and Japan. My wife is home baker who met with many popular pastry chef and I didn’t think there is a bakery better than home made. But I was quite impressed with Trafiq croissant, sandwich and dessert cake. Parking is tough so be sure to find one on street. Small street is not for public parking. Only for residence. Looking forward to meet Trafiq in the states soon.

b k

I can’t tell you how often I get cravings for trafiq cakes. The earl grey is definitely my favourite, and I have trouble restraining myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting. The cakes definitely shine here, but unfortunately that has meant that I haven’t tried enough of the other options. I will need to get on that.

Winnie Chen

I ordered the Lemon Lavender and Red Velvet cake via Ubereats. I found a strand of hair on my Red Velvet. I was kinda grossed out and ruined my appetite. I suggest maybe to have the girls tie their hair up or wear hair nets to prevent this from happening again, especially given Covid right now, hygiene is important. Besides that, I love Red Velvet so I was excited to try Trafiq's new flavour. It wasn't up to my standards, I prefer a richer thicker cream cheese icing, but the Lemon Lavender was an interesting combo which I liked.

Acacia C.

My go-to cake place. They look beautiful and taste even better. They're not too sweet or heavy.

M

Love this cafe. Their cakes are delicious. They have a great selection of sandwiches and savory meals. The staff are always friendly and provide excellent service. Love spending a Sunday afternoon here.

s m

the cakes and pastries here are top quality in taste and presentation. the lady helping us was so kind and helpful. this bakery nailed it, definitely going back

mjean amaze

my fav place to buy treat...and dessert minis. lots to choose from...????????

Trina Jo

Salted caramel cake. That’s what everyone needs to try at least once in their lifetime. So good!

Angelie Batra

Definitely best place to go for lunch. The schneken, breakfast torta, avacoado smash and their cold chai is delicious!!!!! I am sure everything is good but I never try anything else lol.

Sophie Caroline

Excellent coffee, amazingly huge slices of cake, it doesn’t get better than that. Queues are long at the weekend but that is to be expected on Main Street for sure. One of my favourite places in Vancouver and the staff are super helpful.

Steph C

I ordered the homage to earl grey and omg it was very delicious. Huge portion, the cake was just amount of sweetness and the cream wasn't overly rich or fatty to the point it ruins your digestion. Cake was fluffy and light, with good amount of cake and cream flavour balance. I also ordered the mocha with dark chocolate, it was very good. The cafe has a moderate size seating arrangement but fills up quickly so you want to go at non peak hours when it gets the busiest. Staff was nice. I will be back to try other flavours.

Dwayne Doornbosch

Great place to grab a cake, a sandwich or a coffee, everything is good. Great service as well. We go here for all our birthday cakes. Great place to grab lunch as well. Good for small children. Owners are very nice as well.

Antoaneta Florescu

I had the pleasure of ordering 2 cakes from Trafiq we bought the Lemon Lavender and the Exotique for a office birthday party. They were amazing tasty light moist very rarely do we have cake so light and delicious I had 2 pieces we highly recommend Trafiq and I will definitely be ordering our office cakes from here in the future! Thank you kindly ♡ xoxo

Peter Kupchick

They make all of the bread in house what more do I need to say? Fine I'll say more, the cakes are so darn good they make a non cake eating man like myself end up with a beard full of frosting. They are perfectly crafted sweets that satisfy the eye and palate without ever coming off too sweet! The sandwiches are all outstanding. Keep being amazing Trafiq!

Jesse Fu

Great food and coffee. I personally had the Torta and it was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had. Also kind staff and great service. Highly recommended.

Ghia Romero

I wanted to try a new café on main st this afternoon at 2 ish since there was many but my first visit at trafiq was dissapointing ???? my Chai drink was cold and the texture of my mango cake was so mushy..for a fancy café like this I expected better if I go back ill get the chocolate cake and share with my boyfriend, the service was too hipster for me.

Chris Correia

Amazing decadent desserts. I had the clubhouse sandwich which was also very good, would have preferred no refried beans.

Evan Liu

Tried the lemon lavender flavor and the earl grey flavor. Both are good and worth buying again! I don't know what's the frosting made of but I feel it's something close to buttercream. The cake was a little heavy as an after-meal dessert but great for afternoon tea/coffee!

juliet s

My friend ordered an early grey cake for mine and other friend's bday. I like how the cake isnt too sweet. It is addicting!

Normand Dupont

Great sandwiches and desserts. Very courteous service from all staff.

Rebecca

THE BEST. COFFEE

Joachim Pang

Awesome place in the chic Main street area for some coffee and a nice bite. This visit was to purchase a 6" Lemon Lavender Birthday Cake. The cake was medium in terms of heaviness with sporadic light spots of yummy lemon tartness. A definate must try for those who loves lemon tarts.

Robin Jones

Street parking. Great selection, friendly service, delicious carrot cake and lemon yuzu.

Clarence Chiu

I've spent more than $100 on their cakes in the last year across several visits but I'll look elsewhere for the future. I liked them because they have at least 2 flavours that are yummy, portion sizes for the slices of their round cakes are generous, and they are nearby. Blueberry lemon and earl grey are the best of the bunch. They haven't changed their menu much so it's easy to get tired of your favourites. They used to have a lemon lavender that was even better. Surprisingly, it's the more "common" flavours like decadent chocolate and carrot cake that underwhelm. Salted caramel, I couldn't eat more than a few bites of because of how rich and punchy the flavours were. You can see the trend here if you observe closely. Onto our negative experience... We ordered a carrot cake for a birthday 5 days in advance as it was the last flavour we haven't tried. Afterwards, I suggested to my wife that we try a slice and change our order in case we didn't like it. After tasting it, we left a voicemail more than 48 hours before to change our cake to a more expensive different flavour. 48 hours is their regular cutoff time for ordering. We get a call back and were told over the phone that they've already made our cake and can't change or cancel it. When I pick it up, I see several dozen boxes of cakes in their 2 fridges ready for pickup and I'm told that my cake is yummy and made fresh. So I'm being told that: a) we can't change our order because our cake is made or being made more than 2 days before b) our cake is freshly made. You can't have it both ways. It left a poor impression in my mind. From the volume of cakes they had ready for pickup on a single day alone, I don't imagine it would've been hard to change our order more than 48 hours in advance if they made the attempt to adjust course. This isn't a customer service issue but a management one as they set the rules.

Alice Fung

Great place, great cake, great coffee. We always come here every Saturday drink coffee and ate Walnut Coffee cake,Apple turnovers, cookies. There were amazing French food. Everything the taste were so good. Not too sweet.

Beth Henderson

This place is heaven, always delicious and my number one spot for cakes in the city. Bisous!

Sion Park

Ordered the Lemon Lavender cake today for someone’s birthday. The service was really nice and the older women made sure I was helped which I really appreciated. The cake itself in my opinion was all that amazing. The taste was a bit awkward for my pallet. But the cake itself was cooked and presented nicely.

JFTT88 A

Great Sandwiches, Carrot Cakes to die for. There is a Matcha Green Tea Pie that's so intensely flavoured you'd think it was from Japan. Fantastic and helpful service with a smile.

Jordan Cheng

Update. Will change it to 3 stars now. This is because every time I go there and want to order; I hear their cinnamon bun is sold out. Otherwise still worth a visit and still a good default spot to grab coffee and a bite or two to eat. Great place, came here at least 3 times and will keep coming back. Bring your significant other and enjoy some great coffee, cakes, and food.

Joanne Kirkley

Friendly staff, amazing coffee, great atmosphere and baby friendly :) The sandwiches and treats are delicious and the vibe is awesome. My husband introduced me to this place about 2 years ago, we became obsessed for a while and if we could we we would be there every day!

Hailey Bell

Website was apparently a little finicky on their end, but regardless of that the order was on time, looked exactly as depicted on their website, and tasted amazing. Really pleased and will order from them in the future.

Gabrielle Cy

Hands down the BEST place to go to for cakes in Vancouver. Their earl grey chocolate cake is my favourite!

Marnee Klintworth

Great desserts & sandwiches unfortunately no in house dining right now, place is very small so with the spacing requirements it would be very difficult to be taking orders at counter, have a seat and still be able to maintain the physical spacing required. Desert I tried was really yummy but haven't tried their sandwiches yet - next time

K. Z. Li

Cakes taste good, but terrible customer service. Can never call them and they take days to call back. They don't allow any customization on cakes, not even for allergies. When asking questions, they are not patient and say no to everything I ask. Prices are also very high and keeps going up too frequently. I've tried to be a loyal customer for years now despite their customer service issues, but after yet another 12% increase in prices I don't think I can stay a customer any longer.

Ryan Norfield

Terrible experience, the owners think very highly of themselves and believe they are above their customers. I'm not saying that the customer is always right but here the customer is always wrong if you don't want exactly what you see on the menu. Highly temperamental and prone to yelling to customers, even when the customer is speaking in a normal, relaxed tone. Also tries to do an odd intimidation tactic by opening their eyes very wide at you, it's very off putting.

LA McNulty

Outstanding local coffee shop with baked goods that are made with love and flair. Love all the cakes. Sandwiches are fresh and original. Quality is evident in everything, from the coffee to the outstanding coffee cake. The staff is incredibly professional (and they get incredibly busy so not easy) and the owners are warm, genuine and totally connected to the neighbourhood. Such a wonderful spot with European elegance.

Megan Chen

My gosh, their salted caramel cake is SO good! I got to try two sandwiches during lunch last time and they were both amazing as well! Love love love this place!!

NINA D

My absolute favourite bakery/cafe in Vancouver! A cute little place that is clean, welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. The cakes and coffee are great and the flavors are amazing! Highly recommend the earl grey and lemon lavendar cake!

Michael Chiu

Awesome sandwiches and even better cakes. Doesn't break the bank. Good coffee. 5/5 all day long.

Panini Bob

The owner is being untruthful in his reply regarding having left voicemails on a late pickup order. After checking with our cellphone provider, they confirmed that NO PHONECALLS and NO VOICEMAILS were received on the Thursday. Although we acknowledge that it was our own fault that we forgot to pickup on the Thursday, it was unfair to raise your voice at a paying customer. The customer was apologetic, mild-tempered and polite throughout the whole incident and I am appalled that anyone could treat a customer that way. EDIT: The owner admits to lying about having called us about our late pickup date and using that as a valid excuse to treat a customer horribly. About the cake: This is NOT an unpaid takeout order/flight booking/flight reservation. This was a FULLY PAID CAKE ORDER that can be refrigerated. We were exactly 4 BUSINESS HOURS (3-4pm Thursday (our rescheduled time that YOU agreed to), 10am-1pm Friday) late to the pick up and they donated our cake and LIED about having the courtesy to call us to let us know. As I mentioned above, we see the cake as an unfortunate loss and we take part responsibility for being 4 business hours late. The part that makes the whole experience HORRIBLE is the customer service. The owner LIED about having called us and repeatedly used that as an excuse. In addition, he raised his voice and yelled at us loudly and aggressively in front of other customers, even though we were being polite and apologetic. That is not the right way to treat a PAYING customer. I sincerely hope Trafiq improves, but we will not be returning to this bakery.

Lily Wong

Trafiq is my must go to every time, best Americano and earl grey cake I’ve ever had

Cade Cran

One of my favourite places in Vancouver to get a latte. Great sandwiches and pastries as well. I'd highly recommend trying the carrot cake, it's decadent and delicious.

John Smith

Love this place, the cakes are so light and fluffy and the icing is rich but not too rich. Their flavors are unique and a nice place to just sit and catch up with friends!

Nikaiya Tremblay

The lemon lavender cake was so yummy!! Also the chai tea latte was delicious and not too sweet like most places, perfectly balanced . I would highly recommend Trafiq.

Selena Doan

My favourite cake place! I am really specific about cakes, so I don't eat cakes much because some cakes are way too sweet for my taste. And the Earl Grey cake from Trafiq is just perfect! Their Americano Misto is really smooth but the last time I went, it was a bit tangy, so I did not know if it was me (because I am not really a coffee drinker) or they have changed the coffee beans. My friend also ordered an iced Americano and she also said the same thing. By the way, their breakfast/lunch sandwiches are the best! Decent price and tasty! I love how they make special cakes sometimes, and there is one matcha cake that we tried to get it last year but we never be able to. I hope they can make more this year!

Britney Burrell

I've only tried the cakes, but they're amazing--not too sweet and not too heavy. The Earl Grey and the Peanut Butter Chocolate were both fantastic. Very easy system of ordering cakes online through their website and going to pick up.

Joyce T

Liked it very much. Nice fresh food and good service. Prices are reasonable. Very clean. Would definitely go back.

Scott Gardner

The place has delicious pasty made in the back. There is a glass door you can look through to see them working away. Cakes bread all the goods. I had a slice of the chunky monkey. Mmmm. And the coffee is as well balanced. Over all this is a comfy place worth checking out.

Tiffany Tam

Delicious lemon bar and cakes are always on point!

Chau Yo

The desserts here are amazing! Would definitely recommend their cakes - I like their Earl Gray. Staff is always friendly and service is fairly quick. Hot chocolate is a bit too sweet though.

Ryan Ghan

First time visiting here, tried the iced almond latte and a piece of their earl grey cake, the cake was delicious! The sponge was moist, and the cream was not too sweet and packed with earl grey flavour unlike most cakes. Great cake. Atmosphere was great. And cakes are quite reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!

Taj Singh

The best cakes! My go to is the salted caramel but honestly everything on their menu is good!

Shawn McNaughton

Trafiq is known throughout the community for their friendly customer service and their beautiful cakes (the Homage to Earl Grey is my favorite) but I was recently introduced to their pies. Going into Thanksgiving, my wife and I got a pumpkin pie from Trafiq; I hadn't noticed it on the menu prior, so it could be a holiday treat. I eat a lot of pies and this was honestly the best pumpkin pie I have had. The crust was perfect and the filling was not overpowering but so tasty. Firget the plates, my wife and I literally ate it out of the box. ...Looking forward to trying some other pies?

Mara C

I love the banana bread here! They have a really yummy gf dessert as well.

Tristan Irvine

Good coffee and excellent pastries. Sadly they don't open earlier or i would go more often. I reccomend sitting down to eat as the atmosphere is very good!

tan tan

Shauna was rude, fake and arrogant. Sad to be mismanaged by unprofessionals. Her pride goes before customers' needs and anything else. She is incapable of customer service.

Allyson Wong

After seeing @deannawoo constantly posting about trafiq's cakes on instagram, I decided to order the homage to earl grey cake for my birthday. It was soooo good, everyone asked me where it was from and I definitely will come back to trafiq for more! (the lemon lavender cake also sounds so good) Not to mention, the service was amazing and I loved the ambiance :)

Anastasia Susilo

I love this place so much ♡

Athena

Trafiq has some of the best cakes I've ever tasted, and I normally don't like cake. I highly recommend the Vanilla Salted Caramel if they have it.

Colin Jung

Overall Food: 3 Service: 4 Ambiance: 3 Value: 3 Recommend or Repeat: Y

Normand Brouillette

Just picked up few samples of their cakes, Tiramisu, lemon, mousse and carrot cakes. They all tasted like a Save On cake. Very disappointing. I'm not sure that they are making these on premises .

Teresa W.

I love their cakes and each wedge can be shared with 2 - 3 people ! The grilled sandwiches are also amazing. There is so much to choose from in this one little shop. Highly recommended.

SW

Delicious! One of the best salted caramel cake in town! Must try!

Elaine Siu

I absolutely adore this place - might just be my go to coffee shop. Their drinks and baked goods are delicious. Also love their cakes - easy to place online and made to perfection. Also came here for the hot chocolate festival and that did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and location; staff were very friendly.

Leah Sikorski

The carrot cake here is soo good. The coffee is nice and the barista who made it was sweet. Some improvement in terms of operation, forgot my cake and I had to remind them 15 min later when I asked if it was still coming. Otherwise this place is a must try.

Tabitha Watmore

I love this place and they have done a good job during covid

Priyanka P

This place makes amazing cakes and treats...my fave is the little lemon squares tarts...but I always try the new ones they would have and I'm never dissapointed! This place is always buzzing with people. One of my fave go to places for desserts!

Philip Wang

Cakes from here are tasty but be careful when buying whole cakes. They might need a bit of defrosting! Especially if they're from the back.

Anne F

Amazing cakes! We tried their pear burlee and early grey cakes. Not too sweet and full of flavors. Staff was accommodating when I asked for a iced London fog. Good experience will be back to try their other cakes. Definitely reccommend.

Pinky Bdg2017

Special hoy chco with turmeric mix. This is awesome! Love the taste and small bite of cake.

Melody

Initially went for their chocolate cake, but couldn't pass up the caramel cake. You guys...their caramel cake is amazing. Get one each so you don't have to share!

Grace Cortes

Honestly all their cakes are on another level. My favourite one is the salted caramel. It's not too sweet.

Shermaine Chua

Lovely food and lovely staff! This place has phenomenal cakes and the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten.

Marceline Clarke-Williams

One of the best brownies I've ever had, South main has so much great food and trafiq stands among them.

Bee W

Their cakes are so delicious and a really good portion but these cakes don’t come cheap! I guess the price of their cakes and individual slices are on par with other places (like Sweet Confections) but the taste of their cakes are phenomenal - always moist and tasty, never dry. The Zen is pretty tart yet sweet and but doesn’t taste like matcha at all; I still liked it but really preferred the salted caramel more although it can be pretty sweet. Please note that you need to order 24 hours in advance for them to write a chocolate plaque such as happy birthday; you also have to pay for this, which I didn’t like. Still a great place if you have a sweet tooth!

First time visiting. Bought a cake for my partners birthday day. Was delectable but a little rich

Their cake slices are huge and to die for! I recently tried their sandwiches, which were also delicious! The service is very warm and welcoming! :-)

It's a great bakery, there's no doubt about that. All of the staff has been friendly...with the exception of one person. I'm not sure if she is the owner or manager, but she might just be the most unpleasant person I've encountered. Every time I walk out I consider never going back because I don't want to deal with someone so incredibly rude. She's tall, blonde and wears glasses...and just can't be polite. I've been going there for years and I've never had an interaction with her that wasn't negative. She really ruins Trafiq for me, which is too bad.

AMAZING cake, generous slices for the cakes. I got the earl grey & carrot cake. Fabulous taste & presentation.

Definitely a great goto place for delicious cakes and coffee, atmosphere here is nice and relaxing and they also have savoury foods here if your feeling hungry. I tried the Lemon Lavender cake which was HUGE slice haha

Always a positive experience coming here. The owners take a lot of pride in their business and it really shows. Food and service is always top notch. Everything I've eaten here has been great. One of my go-to's in Van to bring friends / visitors.

We always come here for slices of cake for birthdays and sometimes just a sweet treat. I finally tried out their new tiramisu and the chocolate decadence on this occasions as well as a repeat of their earl grey and lemon lavender. we love the lemon as it seems to be the lightest one and the earl grey flavour as well! I love the chocolate decadence even though i found it a little bit too heavy and sweet as the layers of chocolate mousse to cake were uneven (way too much mousse). The tiramisu on the other had was amazing. I think i like the original one from last time more but there is an ample amount of coffee flavour, layers of delicious cake and was not too sweet! The cakes here NEVER FAIL TO PLEASE!

A really busy place with great cakes and bakery. A nice spot for coffee and cake or breakfast. It’s very busy and you’ll see from outside, the condensation on the window! Usually people stand around for a table and this is where my star is off, people just hover and it’s a bit awkward for people that are sitting right by this section. Best option is take out!
