Love this place. I eat a lot of donuts from small town bakeries in the US/Canada: I'm certain I had the best eclair I have ever had here (pretty sure it was real whip cream, not baker's whip cream and it had a very fluffy yeast dough)!

for a small local bakery like this, it's real neat. you can choose from a wide variety of treats, whether you want something small or large, sweet or savoury. for the holidays there'll be fun new, uh, treats! but in terms of the taste and appearance, i would rank it as meh. it's really nothing special. yes, i recommend this to those who would prefer something quick and locally made. if you want something maybe more sweet with even more choices, just go to tim hortons or something.

I have an ongoing quest for the best doughnuts. The Rolling Pin Bakery has is one of only two places in the Lower Mainland that has made the grade. I've tried a lot of bakeries and Lucky's in Vancouver is the only other that makes the cut. Worth a trip to Hope for the Apple Fritters alone.

I have never been in the bakery but I was Lucky to be able to buy Apple Fritters at near by Truck Stop- Flying J. I am from Ontario and every week I was buying a 6 or dozen of them. Today I have called the Bakery and asked if they will deliver their goodies to the truck stop. Nope , not anymore period. I understood but don’t understand. Truck stop was selling all in the flash and that was good business for hoped all, but unfortunately not. We can’t go everywhere with big rig for shopping. I will miss my faves hopping the owners change their hearts for truckers.

Definitely worth the walk from downtown! We were a bit disappointed with the selection and prices at the 'trendy' coffee spot right downtown so we asked a local for a recommendation. He sent us about 4 blocks off and we were wondering if he was pranking us until we encountered this place. It was exactly what we were looking for, with more traditional pastries, professionally made at way better prices. For $2.50 I got a monstrous apple fritter that was fried to perfection and lightly glazed that brought back memories of my childhood. Nicely crispy and so soft on the inside. Definitely worth it, stop in and support local.

I deliver items in Hope from Port Coquitlam on a daily basis, and this place rocks with quality cookies like gingerbread that are fair priced not like others in my area that are nearly double in price and dry. These guys got my vote, and our son reminds me to grab chocolate chip cookies and shortbread, staff friendly too. My mom's carrot cake recipe, that I make from scratch can beat most bakeries hands down. These guys rock including stuffed donuts that ooze out jam and more.

The apple fritters are the best you'll ever have, hands down. The selection is a tad bit limited though, and not overly exciting. Everything here is top-notch quality pastry and there's artisan bread options. You'll see cookies, cakes, and a couple donut options. They can improve by allowing their staff to flex individual creativity to come up with more unique desserts that spark people's curiosity. They need to be careful not to become complacent with their offering, and focus on being innovative with new products every quarter/month to keep people interested.

I purchased 1 loaf of cheese bread, Canadian Rye bread and two apple fritters on Sat. Aug.29. The reason for two stars is as follows. The cheese bread was hollow in the middle, and really was useless for making sandwiches and was moldy by Tuesday Sept.1, which was then tossed out along with one of the apple fritters. When you spend $5 for a loaf of bread and $2.50 each for fritters you expect to have a decent product. The Canadian Rye bread I must say was good. I will not return to this place again.

We came from Chilliwack today to Hope to see the new cool Rambo statue. We drove past this place and it looked intriguing and had to stop in. Boy are we glad we did. The pastries were amazingggg. We are quite picky when it comes to our desserts but man oh man they were so fresh and light. We could eat a whole box of them. The bottoms were caramalized to perfection just wow! My wife, myself and our 9 week old would come out here again just for this place ! Perfect hours too for a small business. Highly recommend this place dont miss it.

I wish there was more of a selection but it's a pretty small town and it would just go to waste if they did unfortunately. Still superb!

I have been to this bakery years ago and loved their pepper bread. Asked the staff of they could work with me since I was coming from Vancouver and the guy absolutely refused no matter what option I offered. And I offered several. Such a shame that as a mom and pop bakery, their staff is so hesitant to work outside the box for patrons who can't make it in the 6 hour window they are open.

My sister and I discovered this wonderful bakery last spring. I was curious about it as one time while travelling on the bus from Kamloops to Chilliwack the bus driver hopped off the bus and ran to the bakery and told everyone on the bus what a wonderful bakery it was. My sister and I were not disappointed (she lives in Winnipeg, I live in Kamloops)) and anytime we are in that area we always make sure we stop for one of their delicious treats. Wish we had this bakery closer to home.

This place is a hidden gem & worth the drive to Hope!!! Go early, to make sure and get some of their famous cinnamon buns. Trust me, once you try them, you'll never bother making them yourself. It's all good. The bread, sausage rolls & apple fritters, will keep you coming back, again and again.
