Maybe a slight bit bias because she's my work neighbour but Sue runs the best bakery in town. The sandwiches are RIDICULOUSLY good. fresh sliced deli meat super flavourful, fresh baked break and crisp veggies. Also amazing selection of great baked products! the selection is always changing as well to keep things interesting! Love this place and the owners and staff :)

My mom had a cake disaster (another bakery had messed up her custom cake) and they helped fix things up and make the cake look great and also their savory pies are amazing! You really helped my mom that day and that was so kind of you all !! We defiantly know where we'll be ordering our next cake from <3

I questioned the keto ingredients they are promoting and the owner deleted my comments and blocked me on facebook instead of informing me of the ingredients and macros like he is suppose to by health canada. Be careful people his products will kick you out of ketosis. Force him to be honorable. As you can see by an owner "sue" her response shows she doesnt care about customers. I wasnt being rude wanting to know what I put into my body. I am entitled to know. Thanks for caring about my concerns and my comments here. Bashing me instead of making it right is not professional nor a way to do business

Hi, yes since you asked for me to elaborate... I have been in 4 times since opening and am always pretty underwhelmed but due to COVID, I wanted to support a local business instead of a big box store so thought I would try again. I decided last minute to host a very small birthday for my bf and decided to pop in to see what they had since I had no time to bake something myself. There were no cakes on display but figured if there was no cakes I would get a selection of cupcakes or slices or something. I asked if they had any cakes that were not on display and was told they had 6in and 8in in the back. We said we'd take the 8in chocolate and said what we wanted written on it. We returned in 20 minutes to pick up. The cake was definitely not fresh, the icing was waxy and tasteless and the cake was dry. Its Walmart sheet cake quality at boutique bakery prices. I'm sorry, I really want to love it, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Spent almost 100 dollars in there,everything i bought was average at best,pot pies dry and just terrible and hardly any filling,the sausage rolls,no flavour and dry,apples in the apple crumble pie were hard as a rock,as if they werent cooked much at all,we tried to cook it in the oven after having some because the bottom was so uncooked,whoever is baking these items is unfortunately not doing a great job,loved meeting Sue,everything looked amazing but sure didnt taste like it and my so called sticky buns i ordered were hard,so disapointed,oh well,live and learn i guess,I'm really not a picky guy and three other people that i dropped some off for were not impressed either,sorry Bear Country Bakery,I wanted to lv ya but a big fat fail,hope you do a better job for others going forward

1. Put visible prices and descriptions on your goods!!!! 2.Take a course in service! Don't walk away to the back so the customer has to call out to get service. I have been in your business a total of 4 times. This is the second time the clerk walked away. 3. Don't confuse customer dissatifaction with bad customer attitude. You said I was being "disrespectful". I was voicing my frustration over poor service. I read all the previous comments about your bakery. There's the same theme running through the negative comments. Your service is hit and miss at best. For me a total miss. I just went to another bakery and spent $80.00 and got the service I deserve. And by the way I was"squinting" because I have bad eyesight. I was squinting to see if I could even find goods priced. AND I DIDNT FIND GOODS PRICED SO NOW DON'T GO OFF ON YOUR HIGH HORSE AND SAY I DIDN'T SEE PRICES BECAUSE I CANT SEE. One of the worst bakeries I have been to. We got multiple different items shortly after opening and nothing was fresh, all tasted very stale. The customer service wasn’t great either. Very disappointing, especially for a bakery where you would expect fresh baked goods, not days old.

First time checking out this bakery last week. I was looking for a sourdough loaf. I noticed a loaf of pretty moldy bread, so grabbed it and gave it the guy working. It definitely turned me off, but I figured a would try a few other things before writing this place off. Bought some cookies and sweets and then ordered a sandwich on sourdough. I was given it on white bread. The sandwich was good and the bread was fresh for the sandwich. Unfortunately the rest of the items just weren’t great tasting, or fresh tasting. Customer service was lacking as well, just wasn’t very friendly at all. I was hoping Mission had a great bakery, but I’ll stick to Save-On for my goodies. Can’t get past the moldy bread in a bakery- wouldn’t recommend.

I was really excited to try this place out, but i find it did not live up to expectations. The price point is really steep for Mission standards. Haney bakery has a better product for half the cost. I tried the vanilla slices and found the puff pastry soggy. Either undercooked or they assembled it while it was too warm. The scones and danishes were also scorched on the bottom, likely due to placement in the oven. Just little things that prove inexperience or lack of attention to detail. Also was suspicious that we arrived when health inspectors did, and a woman from the back (who had no hair net or gloves and was chewing gum) quite comically ran. And the male baker hastily put on a net and cleared a bunch of pop cans from the food prep area. Will not return. Pity.

The most amazing bakery I've accidentally found! It's so hard to find a bakery that reminds me of the bakeries back in the 80s, pre- Tims/massed produced/flash frozen "baking". But Sue hits it way outta the park! I tried an assortment of goodies for my family, for our 1st time; sticky toffee, carrot cake, cannolis, mocha cones, mint nanaimo bar and peanut butter chocolate brownies!! And one bag of dinner rolls. The rolls were so fresh and light and fluffy I had two with roast beef dinner that night! For dessert a few hours later, the whole family shared the desserts. My favorite was the sticky toffee!! Made just like in the UK! I inhaled it, but next time will warm it up a little ???? The #1 with everyone else (5 ppl) was BY FAR the peanut butter chocolate brownies! There was a scrap over the last piece! ???? There is some tiny toffee-like mystery crisps that make it a surefire delight! So many flavor explosions! There is also a GREAT assortment of keto baking available for a decent price that I cant wait to try once I'm back on the wagon ???? We will be back to see Sue again! And again!

So much more than a Bakery! They also make fresh sandwiches with your choice of toppings. It's so much healthier than drive thru and doesn't take any more time. And they make espresso. So you can get a specialty coffee too! We have ordered a few birthday cakes here and they have never disappointed us. Sometimes I stop by to grab a few treats if I'm going to a meeting. The fritters are amazing. There is nothing like a homemade donut.

I used to go to Tim Horton for my coffee and muffin everyday until I found Bear Country bakery a year ago. Every morning the coffee and muffins are always fresh. The sweet treats are awesome too. The staff are all so friendly and eager to serve and take the time to chat with their customers. If I want something baked special, Keven the owner is happy to do it. He even plays a different genre of music everyday, so I find myself humming while I get my coffee. I love this bakery! It's a mom and pop store for sure, something we need more of in our little town of Mission.

We arrived 20 minutes after closing without realizing, they kindly greeted and helped us out without a word that they were closed. Very friendly! We bought s'mores cupcakes, vanilla slices, and cream horns. Cupcakes were very moist and tasty, marsh mellow icing was bomb! Vanilla slices were awesome! Cream horns were great too. We will definitely be back and share the word. Keep up the good work :D

been there a few times over the past year and i've noticed a theme re: the quality of their products. the simple, down-home type baking is fantastic and reasonably priced: they have truly delicious pies, muffins, basic donuts. i'll keep coming back for those. the fancier stuff isn't as good... i won't buy any more brightly coloured treats or buttercream-covered stuff. i wonder if they started strong with a basic foundation then felt they needed this other stuff to be competitive, and added it on. not sure. but i notice a lot of the negative reviews are talking about the fancier stuff, too.

Purchased a cream horn, some cupcakes and a vanilla slice. Found the pastry to be undercooked and the cupcakes rather dry. The price point is not impressive when Cobs and Save On provide a better product for less. Counter service was friendly but not trained well on register, seemed confused when setting up for debit.

We were regular customers there until we ordered a cheesecake for Father's Day. We took it straight home and into the fridge and tried some that night. It was clearly undercooked and had a funky taste, just not right. So we messaged them and told them and they just kept insisting all their other cakes were fine; like we were lying and they were extremely rude. We returned the cake to the store and she gave us our money back then screamed at us, "you got your money now get out! " We hadn't said anything yet, just brought it back. They were awful to deal with and reacted horribly . Disgusting , appalling behavior to customers.The owner has now responded and I would like to say , what you should have done was apologize and we were never rude or nasty once. I have screen shots of messanger and my husband recorded your terrible behavior when returning the cake , he was nothing but polite. They have been very unprofessional about the whole ordeal. They definitely need training in customer service and quality control.ps This is the truth , no twist just facts with proof, and seriously I posted at 7pm but I guess it didn't go through. But enough customer bashing, I am done and yes for us it is just a cheesecake, thank god, for you it's your business you should care more about your customers and your product. I hope your attitude improves in the future and you can use this as a learning experience on how to treat customers in the future. Peace out????
