So what constitutes a 1* review? Well let me back up and start by giving you my opinion of a 5* review: Exceptional Service Outstanding product that excels in flavour Outstanding product that equals value for amount paid Overall value for product purchased A strong desire to return and purchase again My 1* reflects the exceptional service I received and that is where it ends. Sadly, I recently purchased a meal deal that was lacking in flavour, quality and value. Now I do not claim to be an expert cook but when my hubby comments by saying--you didn't make this did you? and it's not from M&M is it? We both felt it was seriously lacking true Italian flavour in what is the considered the base of Lasagna--the sauce! During these days of trying to support small businesses I have purchased many take out meals and baked goods from locally owned businesses as I realize the importance of supporting small businesses!! The fact that I have entered big box stores less than 1/2 a dozen times since March is testament to that! Sadly, I will not be returning to San Agostino Italian Bakery & Fine Foods. I've wanted to go in to this so called bakery for awhile now as I saw the ad for the Cheesecake Factory which I have had personally in Toronto multiple times. It being Valentine's day and all i thought it would be a treat. It is 39.99$ for a small cheesecake which she stated was shipped from the USA, upon bringing it out I was second guessing myself because it was frozen but I bought it and a cookie for 53$ after taxes. So I'm expecting for this to taste just as good as I remember but I was wrong and i knew i should've followed my gut when she brought it out frozen. It is so mushy and tastes nothing like if should and trust me I am a cheesecake maker myself. It is more like a pudding. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE CHEESECAKE FROM THIS PLACE AS GOD KNOWS HOW LONG ITS BEEN IN THE FREEZER. So DISSATISFIED and VERY DISAPPOINTED. I guess I take the L on this one as I should have followed my gut when I heard the word frozen.

Large outcry from the brantford community of unprofessional practices and shady pricing. The people have spoken

The owner knows how to bake .. everything! The bread is authentically Italian .. the pastries are very, very good. The canoli is excellent (we like the Sicilian) .. the butter tarts are sublime - best I've ever had! While I was there picking up pastry I ordered a veal sandwich on panini with roasted peppers .. very good. I really look forward to going to San Agostino Bakery anytime I'm in Brantford!

First of all the prices are outrageous. I purchased a veal and 100 g of Mac and Cheese salad. The Veal was meh! very thin and loads of breading. The Mac and Cheese salad was EXACTLY like the ones you get from the grocery store. You figure if small business charges those crazy prices if it was all home made but I don't agree with charging 2.99 for 100 g of mac salad when i can buy a 1 kg at the store for 8.99. Surprised this place is still in business. First and last time for me and I'll let everyone that I know to stay clear of this "Italian" store. ha! what a joke.

Victoria

Unfortunately the price of the keto sandwich was pricey considering the portion size. When the lady was making the sandwich for me and then told me it was 15$ i couldn’t believe it and paid it and I ate it and it wasn’t anything special. Perhaps a meal combo or better portion sizes and more flavour would be better suited for the high prices.

I'm not quite sure where the poor ratings and negativity are coming from?. I recently discovered this little shop and purchased some baking as well as a tray of Cabbage rolls ( I freeze them for work meals). The cabbage rolls were excellent in my opinion, usually you end up with too much rice as filler which dries the meat out. These were juicy and had a perfect mix of rice, meat and sauce and weren't too salty as I've found with others. Also purchased some brownies, which weren't too sweet which I find at other bakeries are over loaded with sugar. I also picked up some garlic bread to go with the Cabbage rolls, it was excellent and fresh even after a few days refrigerated at my place before I took it to work. Price wise I have 0 issues with paying a bit more money IF I'm getting the quality for that price point. I personally felt that the prices I paid were fair for the quality of food I received. I'll definitely return to get more and likely try some other foods they have to offer, I'd also like to add that the lady behind the counter was very friendly, polite, and explained what's behind their products when I asked. No complaints here!.

This store doesn't deserve any stars. I thought this place was good for Gluten Free Products but it's not. -Too expensive -Some things are charged individual like tea biscuits (6) when they are in a container we had 2 kinds so 12 was each -Nothing is priced -They don't give you a receipt unless you ask I had 2 Containers of Cabbage Rolls 2 Containers of Tea Biscuits 6 Cookies Total was $315.75 Dollars. Won't be going back. On the receipt it's $311.65 Cash. My mom paid with Debit $315.75.

Nic

As MANY of the other reviews say , this place has very expensive items- ordered cannoli's and butter tarts , butter tarts had a bad after taste(almost moldy) , Cannoli's tasted very stale. Disappointed is an understatement.

Joshua Kahn

I had a great experience here. The staff are friendly and the products are delicious. I found the prices to be fair and look forward to going back for more.

Really wanted to like this place, especially since we made a drive for it. Very $$$ which I don’t mind when quality and taste is there but unfortunately it was not. Veal was microwaved, bun sandwich was on was stale, “fresh” pretzels came frozen. The buttertarts were pretty good at least.

Greg H

Overpriced sandwiches for what actually went in between (veal parmesan waffer) the stale bun. Also, I understand the need to advertise but all of these wire and board signs they keep putting up all over the our neighbourhood intersections is an eyesore. In my pic there are 4 signs in 60 yards all in a row. If I turned the camera 90 degrees you would see 2 more. This is a 365 day thing going on.

I visited here with my mother-in-law recently. We were looking for keto baked goods. They do have a selection of desserts and other keto items. However, it was VERY pricey ($10 per portion). We both felt the lady working that morning talked down to us/patronised us as being "inexperienced". We purchased a couple small things, but were quite disappointed with how dry and flavourless the cupcakes were, particularly as it cost so much. We were quite happy to find affordable keto baked goods at a different bakery within driving distance. If you are looking for TASTY keto treats that are AFFORDABLE, keep looking. You have options.

Charlie Huynh

My friend and I happened to be grocery shopping next door when we came across this bakery. We are new to Brantford and have never heard or been to this place, so we decided to check it out as we’ve been wanting to support local stores during this current pandemic. Upon entering, we were greeted and the woman that was working was very friendly. She gave us a detailed explanation of the different baked goods they had as we mentioned that we just wanted to get some sweets for an after-dinner treat. We ended up purchasing two different types of their cannolis and two different types of butter tarts. They were rich in flavour, but definitely satisfied our sweet cravings. The treats were on the pricier side, but worth it as they were freshly made. I would recommend this place if you are looking for the occasional treat!

James Moulton

Mediocre food, high prices. Additional fees if you use credit or debit. Disappointment. Owner not wearing mask.

sonia toronto

I went here because I was craving for some real cake and didnt care how much yo pay for it ..so when I went in the lady asked what I wanted I told her what I want and she referred cake I paid 32$ and 2 of other pastry paid $46 came home when I tried the cake it was the 6$ cake from regular supermarket! I feel so betrayed so disappointed I would never go here again

Angelika Staśkiewicz

I bought a garlic roll with mold. It was my first and the last time in this bakery.

Robert

Having premium high end establishments are good, having poor tasting high/hidden prices is bad

Candace Raymond

I visited friends for dinner, who had made an effort to buy Keto Desserts for me and my husband. They went to this bakery.. This cupcake was 10 dollars... Just for the cupcake. Read that again... 10 dollars for a poorly constructed messy CUPCAKE. So 40 dollars for 4. Then there were 3 Doctor Diet Keto Buns... For 18 dollars. The Vanilla cupcake had an icing that tasted like straight out butter with granular swerve or xylitol.. so the most unpleasant texture. There is nothing salvageable in this excuse. Absolutely a rip off. 69 dollars for 4 cupcakes and 3 buns? Absolutely not.

Notfloyd 99

Purchased a lasagna, garlic bread, mac and cheese and meat pies for about 100.00. Not one thing was good. The frozen food aisle at freshco would have better quality items then what we purchased. Save your money go elsewhere.

Brittany Thomas

Wow. Low quality high prices. Being new in town I'm looking at new local shops.Without checking here for reviews, I walk in and always feel bad not to buy something. Only one real canolli or...'traditional' as she called it. It was lumpy and didbt taste right, the crust was soggy. The butter tart was ok for 3 bucks. The turnover the employee reccomended looks strangely similar to Costcos version that I have on my counter.... Prices are way too high I will not reccomend or be back. Update-Butter starts are from Costco too? Hahahahahahaha....

Canadian Smart Systems

Stopped in on our way passing through town today. Great selection of tarts and other deserts. Really kind staff and tastes amazing. Definitely going to stop by again.

icetink

Mediocre food, small quantities, high prices, and $3 for 1oz Marinara dipping sauce. Employees also didn't wear face masks properly or at all.

Rita Kirch

Genuinely wanted to love this food, but couldn't even bring myself to like it. I was like others shocked by the price, but also thought vegan options are few, wanted to support a local place so figured that if they are great (or even decent) homemade dishes, then it'll be worth it. Meatless cutlet was void of any flavour and while I was told there was sauce, it resembled watery tomato juice, also tasteless. I was embarrassed to serve it to my family even after I tried in every way possible to save it by adding to it. Maybe it's a one-off and it's generally good but I bought a few dishes and most of them were left uneaten. The near interrogation we received while shopping there alone will not have me going back or recommending them.

theRealDeel

Wow amazing veal on a bun and deserts! Stop by this place randomly while walking in the parking lot. And so glad I did! The ladies were super friendly and helpful great customer service! Will Definitely come back again.

Kimberly Clarke

Gluten Free cupcakes....yummy but hard to justify the price ! $18 and change for 2 cupcakes......!!? and you have to buy 2.....can't just buy a separate one....?? What's that about....? I find it interesting too, that as I read the reviews, the owner only ever comments on the positive ones.......

Heather

Great service, the food is fantastic. Its pricey but you pay for the quality that you get. Its worth it

hannah

The food tastes as if it was store bought, not much taste but not a good taste either. Additionally to the food quality and taste not being good, it was WAY overpriced. The lady at the front also made us take it home to heat it up instead of heating it up for us. Also, when it was time to pay, the lady did not total things correctly and completely overcharged us. Lastly, when packaging our food up, the lady squished the two cupcakes into a bag so the icing was ruined. It was our first time there and will never be back again.

Ginny N

This store should be reported to BBB! Prices are outrageous! If anybody goes there ask for the price first. One tiny piece of bread the price was so high I told her I didn't want it. Don't waste your hard-earned money there.

Donna Schmidt

Went in and purchased 4 sugar cookies and 4 cannolis. The bill was $54!!!!! Was told the cookies were $9 each. OUTRAGEOUS!!!! The cannolis are good, but small.

Dennis Scott

I went to this place this morning . Driving from Stratford expected to go buy some pastries and I noticed the chocolate eclairs and butter tarts we're almost $5 each for one each item. As when I saw the price I asked her is that for each item and she said yes they are really marking prices up for this coronavirus thing going on make up for lost money I'll never go back there for those prices they had next and I see nothing that I liked everything butter tarts $4 each for just one butter tart very not happy when I walked in this morning when I found out all that out with the prices I walked right back out of the store. Now it's the pastries were 250 or $3 maybe on by them when they look so good but not $5 each with probably taxes on top of that.

Genevieve Bryant

Very expensive. Not great for the price either in quantity or in quality. I bought an eclair for $4.99. I asked if it was real whip cream and was assured it was. I can assure you it was some type of whipped topping and NOT real whip cream. ???? The eclair bun was rather stale and the chocolate topping waxy. Won't be returning.

Jenny “Artsy Crafter” Sikma

I was shocked at the price but it already went thought my debit. I paid $81.30 for an 8” strawberry cheese cake, medium size of mac n cheese salad, medium size Asian salad and a 355 ML Montpellier water. I asked how much the pie was and she told me $45… so my salads and water was 36? If I would have noticed the price before accepting on the debit I would have walked away. I will never return. They didn’t have prices showing for the pies - my mistake for.not asking. I’ve bought handmade cheese cakes at other bakeries and the average price is usually $20-$25 Update: no the prices were not in front of the pies. Even my family thought the prices were insane. The salads weren’t any different then what zehrs sells, and the cheese cake was fine but not spectacular to the price of $50. You didn’t say the total before I used the debit machine… i suspect this is your sales tactic that blindsides customers. I thought about asking for a refund, but didn’t have the energy to create a conflict. For you to respond with justification rather then maybe read all the negative comments that also indicate the high priced items. I’m a manager in retail, when I questioned the price you didn’t even offer to refund it. You just verbally justified your pricing. I’ve bought from amazing bakeries that use real ingredients and their prices are reasonable. I honestly don’t know how you stay in business.

Jen Mclean

Very over priced we were in shock 6 cannolis and 6 cacciatore came to 75 dollars I can't justify going back there for was okay at best rip off avoid at all costs

Charlie Lyons

I’ve been in here several times with my family for baked treats and a time or two for a warm lunch and have never been disappointed. The service is always efficient and friendly, and the food is high quality and delicious. It appears to be family-owned and -operated and I’m glad to support this local business with my ongoing patronage.

Brian B

Their baked goods are great and I love stopping infor a custard tart when I'm there. However I've never found frozen products that I thought were worth the price. Now found they charge $7 for an individual tea biscuit? Won't be back.

Makayla Mc Intosh

VERY VERY VERY OVERPRICED AND NOT EVEN THAT GOOD . I bought an eclair, sugar cookie and cannoli . I feel robbed man the total was 22.67. The woman at the front had an attitude.

Alysha Williams

Ridiculous pricing. Went into this location and bought a sandwich, some cabbage rolls and a treat, cost me $130, oh and they charge you extra to microwave your food so it's hot ???? Food was gross, when I called the complain the owner was incredibly rude. Not to mention the cabbage rolls were freezer burnt and the cheese cake was the worst thing I've ever tried.

Emile Murray

All time favorite for a quick lunch or a treat for special occasions. I just picked up Portuguese custards for my brother in Law's birthday and he won't stop raving about them. Also the maple butter tarts are divine!

Pamme Kaur

Store is so over priced, vegan cake is literally just sugar. I bought a vegan cake that was nothing was sugar for $50. Its not worth it.

J J

Feel like paying an arm and leg? No didn't think so me either. I got my items up to the cash register they told me the price and I said no I walked out empty handed and with hundreds of dollars still... Stop price gouging I hope you go out of business

Andrew Julie Salonin

Absolutely wonderful little Italian spot in Brantford. The Cannoli’s are absolutely the best in the area (Sicilian is our favourite), the Portuguese Tarts are equally yummy! The other treat we love, especially on a hot day, is the Crème Espresso a delightfully cool treat. See you again soon!

So my wife decided to go to this so called Italian store, my wife wanted to surprise me with a lasagna and garlic round loaf to bake in the oven. She was so excited to surprise me that she went and paid an outrageous price of $62.00. As we followed the instructions I checked to see if it was ready and to my discovery it was only a half full lasagna tray and was mostly mushy noodles, copious amounts of sauce with a strong onion taste, barely any meat and no ricotta cheese. To top it off the mozzarella cheese topping was so lightly garnished that it might as well have not even been there. I have worked in a true Italian restaurant and made real homemade lasagna so I expected a similar result. The garlic round loaf looked to have a bucket garlic spread and sucked. supposedly fresh today. there was no way it was fresh as the bread was stale. Too boot the store clerk even told my wife it is a best seller. lol.... Don't waste your money as chef boy r d is tasting better.

Wish I'd read these reviews before going there. We got 3 pkgs of bread, basically a dozen. She encouraged us saying it is so much better than store bought. We got 2 slices of pie and 6 lemon tarts. $123 later. I couldnt believe when she told us after the fact that each bun was $3.99. I couldnt believe it. But she assured us we wouldnt be disappointed. She said they would be good in the freezer until we want to use them. We put them in the freezer when we got home a half hour later. Well 2 days later I took a pkg of the buns out and defrosted them. 2 of them were rock hard. Not impressed. I'm almost afraid to try the pie or tarts. Will not be going back!

iTerrify

Nice little bakery. Owner was very nice and helpful. I got a vege lasagna for my gf and a meat lasagna for myself. A bit pricey but very tasty. Will be back to try other things.

Emily Jones

I'm not one to actually take the time to write reviews, but the quality and the insane cost of my friend and I's dinner is motivating me to do so. My friend and I are in post secondary so when we go out for food, we want it to be cheap but we also want it to be really good since our cooking skills max out at kraft dinner. We found this place and wasted just over $40 somehow. We each got 2 3-cheese stuffed shells that were all of 3 bites each, we also got 2 cheese/tomato rice balls each, single piece of garlic bread and a cupcake each. *as a side note, I didn't realize the food was not already hot, especially since she never offered to heat them up. The cheese stuffed shells were so gross, the 3-cheese part was complete liquid. The rice balls looked soon delicious but the tomato puree in the middle was really gross and made the outside of the ball and cheese taste not good. The single garlic bread was what i was relying on at this point because who is capable of messing that up? When she asked if I wanted garlic bread, I saw the large amount of them through the display where they were held and said yes.. only to get home to realize we got the hard, end piece of the garlic bread. I'm really not one to complain about silly stuff like that, but I saw how many there was, it's not like there was only 3 pieces of the garlic bread left to pick from. Lastly, the cupcakes. The cupcakes were store bought (not hating, they were still good) but she had placed them just into a paper bag and put that bag in with all the other food. By the time my friend and I arrived home, they were squished and the icing was all over the inside of the paper bag. Overall, we were charged just over $40 for food that was a)not good, b) extremely expensive, and c) not cooked. The food was cold and we were given no instructions on how long to cook them, the temp etc. I suppose I could have asked her to heat up the food when I realized it was cold, but all she had was two microwaves behind the counter and I'd rather my oven. I also (am not 100% sure) believe I might have been over-charged, when I described the food it might have seemed like a lot but between two people it was a small meal and is crazy that it costed over $40 WITHOUT being cooked. Should have just bought this stuff frozen from a grocery store, it wold have costed the same price and I would have received more for my money. The lady at this store was incredibly nice, but I'm not pleased I spent over $40 on two meals that were not good, very small, very expensive and that I STILL had to cook when I got home.

Noor Homs

One can perhaps chalk it off to having a bad day, but it's twice that I encounter her at the cash and twice that I feel this way. Not a great experience.

Amanda Donnelly

When inquiring about pricing and cross contamination in “baking” process the lady who works there was very arrogant and rude. Would not tell me pricing when directly asked and said it was expensive because it is the best. Would not let me know if there was cross contamination which I now know because they don’t actually bake fresh as advertised. Cannot sell gluten free if you do not know the particulars contained. Reluctantly I made a few purchases. When I got home the wrappers would not come off the cupcakes we purchased at all. Now the extremely overpriced cupcake, half goes into the garbage right off the bat. Get it sometimes there’s a bad batch. So I tried to eat the top. It was awful. Dry, freezer burnt, crumbly and tasted horrible. All of it went in the garbage. Being a celiac for over 30 years and going through the trials and tribulations of finding foods to eat I get the prices. I have paid $75 for a pie before. At the end of the day, the pie I got was delicious, large portions and the person who baked it fresh and could guarantee my safety was friendly. Very friendly. With the amount of negative reviews and people super upset from being over charged you would think after multiple years you as a business owner would at least try and be respectful, pleasant and not try and hide the fact that almost half of a small city has had issues with your establishment. Reviews are meant for growth opportunities if given in a respectful way. This one is just that. I hope this resonates with you and your business is able to flourish. I personally would try your establishment again if you were able to provide fresh baked goods that are guaranteed to be gluten free that taste scrumptious even at the costs you have now with friendly customer service that we have come to expect from our local retailers. Hope others can feel the same and this finds you well.

Krista Lynn

Far to expensive for keto deserts. I paid 30.00 for 3 desert item's. A Cheesecake and a pumpkin spiced mouse. Which I ended up throwing away all 3 away. I understand keto can be expensive but those prices are insanely over priced.

Nicholas Wilson

EXTREMELY overpriced! Don't give you a receipt unless asked, Food is not even close to worth the money, Girl at the cash register is very rude! Do not recommend to anyone, Much better options out there at good prices, They should be ashamed of the prices they are charging people!

Kayla Sezz

I actually feel robbed . This was my first time going into this store , I’ve heard they sell gluten free snacks and breads . So decided to give it a shot . When talking to the lady , when she mentioned the price she was very quiet . When she told me the price of the buns ( 4 pack) I heard 5.99 . Also keep in mind there is no PRICING anywhere in the store . I grabbed 2 packs of buns (8 little buns ) total . And six cupcakes. When I went to use my debit , she didn’t even say the total of the bill or did the machine say the total as well ( obviously my fault for not asking to double check ) when I looked at my bank an hour later , I noticed 106 charge from her bakery . I called right away thinking it was a mistake . And it was not . I felt sick to my stomach , the cupcakes were terrible and the buns felt like they have been frozen for months . But I’m sure she will respond to this review stating her ingredients are high quality and not like the other chains like “ food basics “ she continually said over the phone rudely . Would never recommend this place . OVER PRICED and to be honest , I’ve found a lot better gluten free products from the “lower chains” as you basically stated For less the price and didn’t taste like it’s been sitting there for Months . Your buns were all falling apart when they defrosted . Again my fault but wow I felt like I was robbed

Jaami Robinson

We are a family with diet restrictions. Dairy and sodium being big ones for us. It has been hard to find a bakery that offers a large selection of those dietary needs. We are very pleased with the taste and quality of the items we purchased, traveled from Cambridge for it and will continue to do so because I only just bought my bread and ended up eating 3 plain slices on the drive home, that's how good it was. The staff was so helpful and friendly, it was hands down worth the drive!

Jennifer St Jean

Tried their lasagna family dinner and the whole family enjoyed it. We love their cakes, pies and cannoli and we are now getting hooked on their food. Everything is delicious, fresh and you can taste it’s homemade. The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean and organized. We absolutely love San Agostino.

Teresa Romeo

I paid $31 for two veal sandwiches!! They made it by cutting one veal cutlet in half AND one slice of provolone cheese in half!! Unbelievably stingy!!!!

Kyle Farrington

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced. Do not waste your time and money. Also alot of reports of taking advantage of elderly customers.

Shawna Donnelly

not impressed.these reviews just recently added you can tell are all from the business owners making fake reviews. Saying everything is so wonderful. completely fake. it's sad this business needs to do this to counter their horrible reviews from so many people. i wished we looked at this before my dad picked up several things saturday. my mom is a baker and there is absolutely no way their baked goods are made from scratch. Not sure about the other food they make, but this isn't a scratch bakery. not sure why the business claims their baked goods are from scratch but it's like stuff at the grocery store plus very expensive 2 huge thumbs down

frederic carter

Stopped for lunch and tried the Meatball sandwich.Bun was fresh and the sauce was tasty. Same for the meatballs, with mushrooms and sauteed onions. Yum!

Stacia S

Unbelievable prices. Never in my life have I seen such prices for baked goods. We left! Thank goodness. We would have regretted it by looking at these reviews. All these people paid a great dea of $ but said the food was like food at a grocery store. I believe it.

Michel Rose

Overpriced. Been seeing all these advertisements therefore decided to check out. Selection looked beautiful and lots to choose from. Well stocked and presented. I decided to purchase a small potato salad. 12$ later. Tasted like the Ziggy salad from grocery store. They had cookies on display i bought two not realizing how much they would cost. 7.99$ each. They were shortbread with icing on them. I asked the lady how much they were and she said " don't you ever shop here dear". Would not recommend if you are looking for affordable pricing. Taste is the same as other bakeries in town. Nothing to brag about. Will not be returning after attitude and prices.

Anna Voglio

Kept seeing all the postings on Facebook for this place and finally decided to check it out this afternoon. They did not disappoint at all! I loved the selection, I loved the presentation, I loved their friendly service and welcoming ambiance and most of all I loved their maple butter tarts. I ended up grabbing a sandwich for lunch and some lasagna for dinner and everything was absolutely delicious! You can taste the freshness and you can taste it’s all made from scratch using quality ingredients. This place gets a big thumbs up! Will be back and will recommend to everyone I know!

Giovanna Valenti

I always try a new place 3 times before giving a review and this gem hasn’t disappointed at all! Great selection, great presentation, great service, great prices and everything I tried was delicious. You can taste the freshness and the quality of ingredients so definitely great value for your dollar! Supporting local!!

Stephanie Androsia

Best butter tarts I’ve ever had!! Can’t believe the selection ???? hardest part is choosing which ones to eat first haha! Will have to try the cannoli next time I come in. They looked amazing as well ???? telling all my friends!

Darren MacFay

A few guys from work and I stopped in for lunch. We all ordered a bunch of different sandwiches and pastries and we were all happy. Lots to choose from, everything looked fresh and was fresh. Love this little mom and pop shop and we will keep coming back. FYI Best veal sandwich and best Sicilian cannoli!!

Dennis Tott

Best butter tarts I’ve EVER had! I could taste the real butter and the real maple syrup. They have TONNES of flavours to choose from. I felt like a kid in a candy store lol. The service was friendly and very fast. They also had so much food and everything looked so delicious. Definitely going back for more!

Denise Juani

The lady was nice but the food was mediocre. My boyfriend and I got two sandwiches, the meatball and the sausage. Both lacked flavour. I got a sugar cookie which was good and he got some cannolis that he enjoyed. The desserts tasted fresh. Although I wish I could have loved the food, it just didn’t wow me due to the taste. Will try some other things that are hopefully better. I must say, it was VERY pricy.

Daniel LeClair

Brantford, historically has only ever had Polish, Canadian and Dutch delis/bakeries. Brantfordians are not familiar with what a proper Italian bakery should consist of, especially when it comes to price. I am here to tell you this place is subpar and WAY TOO expensive as compared to other places like Pane Del Sol, Duartes or Bonanazas in Hamilton who actually cover ALL bases with quality and portion size at a reasonable price. Let me put it in perspective. At Pane Del Sol I once got 2x LARGE canolis, 2x Large eclaires, a strudel lobster tail, a lemoncello tart, a skor brownie for 25$. Its plenty to serve 6-7 ppl for coffee. Notice how I capitalized large? Her stuff is tiny. You see the picture I posted? a tiny bite size brownie and premade sugarcookie that my kid didnt even like was $14.99.....What a jip. Its clear by the portion sizes and prices its all about the $. Never again for me, I should have known better. UPDATE: I didn't keep saying I was from Hamilton. You asked me "Looking for anything particular" I said "Gelato" you said "My brother has Gelato at his bakery in Waterdown" I said "oh okay, I usually go to Pane Del Sole in Hamilton for Gelato. We are from Hamilton". I then asked my girls to pick something and we looked at your baked goods window. Where else is there to look? Pane Del Sol is 10X bigger. Also 10x cheaper. Your sugar cookies dont have a price tag on them but your brownies do. So for things that are inflated in price you hide the tag. For things that are cheap you post the price is that it? You should go to Pane Del Sol to get an idea on proper pricing. They been there for over 50+ years and make everything in their shop from scratch. Good luck but I wont be back.

The gluten free cupcakes are so delicious!! I’ve tried making my own gluten free desserts and I’ve tried other places but the selection and quality at this bakery is so worth it! It’s not often that I treat myself so if I’m going to have a dessert then I want the best and san Agostino does make the BEST gluten free cupcakes. I’ve tried the cheesecake, tarts and the buns and have been happy with everything! Will be trying the good next tine I’m in!

Germana DeLucia

I have heard so many great things about this bakery so I had to check it out for myself! WOW! I love the way everything is displayed, all looks fresh and the staff was absolutely delightful! My husband and I had the meat and ricotta lasagna which was incredible and we took a couple dozen Sicilian cannoli home to the family and WOW...BEST cannoli we have had since our trip to Italy! We definitely recommend San Agostino Bakery!!

Allison Budds

I love the selection of keto and gluten free baked goods. The food is just as delicious. Everything is fresh and the staff is always helpful. I keep going back and will definitely recommend san Agostino

Carolynn Ruane

Robbers. Prices are absolutely out of this world. No prices on anything and they don't give receipts unless asked. Need to be investigated big time.

Glen R

I'd read their sign advertising keto products while driving by so I dropped in. BIG mistake. I walked out feeling violated. This place has no concept of customer retention in their business plan. Instead they rip people off. Muffins...blueberry..the cheapest things you can get before you head in to the cupcake category..won't go there. How about $96.00 per dozen? Before tax! If it wasn't so offensive it would be laughable. STAY AWAY! !......FOOTNOTE: This is as a response to the owner. I NEVER said the product was poor but what I also didn't say was how you went on about the cost of ingredients etc. which does not equate to $8.00 for a small blueberry muffin with what I would assume is primarily almond flour, xantham gum, and whatever alternate sweetener you chose. It's also obvious from a recent post that you are continuing to overcharge customers so you were just paying lip service to me when I suggested you show your prices more clearly. In these tough times I hesitated before posting this but after visiting a local Keto bakery with vastly superior products at less than half the price I felt obliged to give others a heads up. I also recall calling you because I hadn't really realized the price I paid until reviewing purchases the following morning. You're obviously on the defensive and justifiably so considering it is your business. It would be better for you going forward to implement suggestions rather than in essence just brush someone off to get them off the phone

Natalie Jackson

I love this place! Food is always fresh and desserts are delicious! The staff is always friendly and very fast which I love. We also have had the cakes snd they are creamy and not too sweet. Definitely recommend!!

Bethany Tozer

Vegan options were not good and way overpriced. I have tasted a lot of vegan baked goods and the cupcakes didn’t even come close in comparison...so dry and tasted manufactured. Very disappointed and definitely won’t be returning. There are several small bakeries in Brantford that offer amazing vegan baked goods.

Terri MacFaden

We keep going back because everything is delicious! The food is always fresh, the staff is always friendly, the store is always clean and you can see the passion this family has for the service they offer! I love to support local and I love that I get quality!

E Trauma

Quite pricey...and maybe not the FRESHEST cannoli on my visit. Lots of variety from sweet to savoury and hot and frozen prepared items that looked pretty good.

Denis

I bought a tray of stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls, the stuffed peppers, followed the instruction and both were very mushy, hardly any meat inside and had a weird smell, won't be visiting this place again, waste of money

Sam LaRose

My girlfriend kept seeing this place advertised on Facebook so we decided to take the drive to Brantford to check them out. Worth the drive for sure. I’ve never seen so many desserts in one place lol. We took home a bunch of butter tarts cause we couldn’t decided which ones to try. They were the best butter tarts I’ve ever tasted. We will be back and we send all our friends.

Linda Clayton

Stopped in on Oct. 17th to buy some gluten free items. My first mistake was not asking the price of the items, because I assumed they would be the same at another store I visited in Paris. WRONG. $15 for a loaf of bread ( I paid $8 for a loaf at at the previous store) $16 for 4 buns, and $4 each for these macaroon type filled cookie, My total cost was $129. for 2 loaves of bread, 2 pkg of buns and one doz. of cookies. I blame myself for this purchase as I always check my receipt before leaving but this was the one time I forgot and only checked it when I got home. I was totally blown away at the cost. I called the store to find out the prices and the lady told me and I told her she should have the prices on all of her products, she hung up on me. I DO NOT recommend this place at all

Jerry Roder

My wife and I drove to Brantford and found this little gem! I grabbed a veal sandwich and my wife took home a tray of cabbage rolls for dinner. Everything was delicious. Cabbage rolls were just as good as my mom used to make. Their cannoli were pretty awesome.

Nadiene Gibney

Terrible experience. I was charged for things I didn’t purchase… the food was very mediocre, and most importantly the person who served me wasn’t wearing a mask!!!! Would not recommend to anyone.

Britt Marcellus

This owner has been scamming ppl, the prices are Robbery! Do not go here!! She also blocked me on Facebook after asking why so many ppl were ripped off by her. Very unprofessional. She is also selling baked goods from Costco. Shame on these ppl. Especially all the elders that have been taken advantage of not seeing the prices clearly etc. Plz share this with everyone. Thank you.

Giovanna Chido

We love the cakes. Very creamy and not too sweet. It’s obvious that they are made with high quality ingredients. We have tried different flavours and they have all been a huge hit with the family. Home made quality for sure. We will keep going back.

Mykhaylo Petrynyak

2 stars only because the lady at the counter was friendly. I ordered a $9 veal on a bun which is expensive enough for a little sandwich. 3 toppings and some hot sauce later it turns to $17 somehow...im going to my car thinking "this had better be the best sandwich ever". I bite into it and i couldn't even get a piece of meat in my mouth, only bread and toppings. That was the toughest piece of meat I've ever tried to get through. Very dissapointed. Going to Burger priest next time

danno pritchtable

I had seen a lot of posts on Facebook for the bakery. I am from out of town and wanted to try it. We got 2 sandwiches, 2 lasagna with ricotta, 2 garlic bread and a small box of 6 assorted baked goods. The total was $169!!!!!!. The veal on the sandwich was tough and hard to get through and the other sandwich had little to no meat on it. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back. Hopefully the $90 worth of lasagna is good enough to justify a little of what I spent.

Kyla Sims

not thrilled....we were in the area on the weekend.had a co worker pick up some sweets everything tasted like it was from a grocery store. What's worse was the price. Co worker said it was really expensive but thought it must be excellent food.but it wasn't. wont be going

Annalise Madsen

I always try to support local Unfortunately, I wasn't very pleased with the quality. The keto cupcakes were not great. They were prefrozen, and then when thawed the wrapper stuck to the cupcake. I had a lot of paper fibres in my mouth and teeth. The cabbage rolls were good, but need a much thicker sauce in my opinion.

Rachel Skinner

Extremely over priced. With no price tags anywhere. Definitely feels like a scammers store. They have been known for reselling items from Costco.

Naana Vasic

Amazing place with amazing deserts and food! I was looking for something local that also has gluten free items and this place is perfect. Nice, friendly and fast service as well. Thank you Susanna, you’ve got yourself and long time customer now!

JR Youngs

I’ve been looking for a local bakery and was told about San Agostino. Incredible selection of pastries and they even had soft pretzels. The store is very clean and organized and the hardest part is deciding what to try first because every looked very good. Took home some fresh bread, some lasagna for dinner and a few cannoli and custard tarts and they were fresh and delicious. Looking forward to trying the cabbage rolls.

Chris Jackson

I’ve hear about this bakery and kept seeing it promoted on Facebook. I was so impressed with everything from the customer service to the selection to the quality. I ended up grabbing a cold sandwich, salad and an eclair and wow, so good! I think my favourite part is that everything is out on display so you can see exactly what you’re getting rather than ordering from a menu board. My second favourite thing is that they are super fast so long waiting lol!

Dominique Faille

Some people is too complainer with their rating. Over the bad rating I tried this small shop, and I did not find anything overpriced. It's even cheaper to my local bakery in Montreal. The staff was kindness at each visit (3 time on two days) Cannoli and Lasagna was very tasty. It was my better lunch I ate in the city, cheaper of the fast food restaurant. I'm seriously offended of the bad rathing by someone.

Tyler

The prices here are insane. I am Celiac and saw this place on Instagram and figured I would give it a try. I saw the Gluten-Free Tarts there and ended up spending $36 plus tax on a 6-pack of tarts. I would rather eat normal tarts and have an attack than spend that. The baker was less than forthcoming regarding prices and I only realized how expensive everything was upon checkout. At which point I was pressured into checking out. I could have justified the price if the quality could even be considered above-average but, sadly, it was not. 4 baked goods here cost me $110 and none of which were any larger, or tastier, than any other gluten-free product that I might find at a local Zehrs or Walmart. I live down the street from this bakery but will be making the drive to the gluten-free bakery in Paris or Hamilton before ever making this mistake again. At least those bakeries do not profiteer from a life-threatening illness. And their food and service will have you coming back for more. Honestly, skip this place and drive the extra 15 minutes to Paris. The baker in Paris will not spend the entire conversation trying to justify her prices and will instead help you find exactly what you are looking for. She is amazing. I understand that these items have organic ingredients but, as someone whose health depends on the ingredients she uses, I know that the ingredients don't cost enough to warrant $6 per tart only for it to still taste like a soggy, yet tough, piece of cardboard. UPDATE: As per the business owners response, you clearly don't remember me correctly, as I did not sit outside the store for 20 minutes, nor did I purchase a sandwich from you. The fact that you respond to negative reviews in the manner you do is an issue all in itself. How about instead of calling your customers liars, take a look at your sales pitch and clearly (from all the negative reviews) your pricing. The food isn't great, the tarts are bland, the cabbage rolls are soggy, and if I'm being honest, I have to add my own sauce to get any sort of flavour out of this food. I am astonished that you think you have the right to comment on my review and call me a liar when you don't even know who I am. Also, this is MY OPINION, these are MY FEELINGS while in your store and while speaking with you. I am entitled to post freely and share my thoughts... You clearly need to reevaluate how you take criticism. In regards to the prices, they are not clearly displayed. You have a board with sandwich prices...

Ian Bradley

Horrible food, customer service and pricing is outrageous! if you question anything, they make you feel very unwelcomed.

Doris Murray

Absolutely love this bakery! I’ve tried almost every one of their desserts and I’m now hooked on their dinner combos. Feeding the family home made food without the cooking is a win win in my family lol! Thank you for your great customer service and thank you for your delicious food and desserts!!

Kevin Brandt

Asked a simple question about pricing on a Facebook post and it was deleted. Tells me all I need to know about the owner(s).

Paul Henderson

Best soft Pretzels Ive has in decades! Fresh, tasty and they are huge! A great value and definitely worth the drive from Kitchener. I definitely recommend this place. It’s clean, the service is fantastic and the rest of the food looked absolutely delicious!

Justin Hoag

Stopped in as i love trying new bakeries i have never been to! Ive been to almost every single one in brantford but this one, until i recently stopped to grab a couple treats. I bought some cupcakes for my mom and i to snack on! I threw the first cupcake i bit into out the window as i was driving (i know, terrible me for littering) it was completely inedible IMO. Tasted worse then a box mix with betty crocker icing ???? Thought it might have just been the flavour of the first i tried, but after trying THREE of them , i threw them all out. I dont know if sue just throws ingredients into a bowl blindfolded and mixes, but these are truly the WORST cupcakes ive ever had. To the owner that i know will see this and respond in a passive aggressive way accusing me of not being a real customer - do better for your business. Do better for your family. Do better for the city. Never been so disappointed in a “home-baked” treat, had high hopes for this place. I didnt feel the need to share my experience as it could have been a one off or bad batch and i didnt want to hold it agaisnt the owner/ baker. But after recent events and friends terrible experiences- i feel obligated to share my experience . Not to mention the cupcakes were SEVERELY OVERPRICED

Allison Brents

I was so impressed with the food selection at this bakery. Had no idea they even sold food, just thought it was bread and desserts but the dinner combos are perfect for our family. I love that I don’t need to place an order or wait an hour. Desserts are already included with the family meals so it’s so convenient and it was all delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Will keep coming back ????

Gina Spencer

One of the few real italian bakery in Canada, fod was good, clean ,well organized . My fav was the veal sandwich on a bun and the desserts..way too many to choose from but it doesn't matter because you cant get it wrong. Will go again...

gisel lucero

Two pieces of veal and One bun cut in half $35. If I could give a 0 star I would.

Sam Smith

Was looking at bakery options in brantford and I have say the owners responses are HILARIOUS! You take everything personal and actually have the nerve to talk back to them! Thanks for the comedy I appreciated reading them. I won't be trying your bakery.

Rachel O

Popped in on a whim because I saw that they had soft pretzels. The lady that was working was really nice and answered our questions. We also bought 3 varieties of cannoli. Everything was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back for more yumminess! Highly recommend however do not go in expecting fast food prices. They are well worth the money and makes for a nice treat!

Ted Clarkson

I am really pleased with the excellent customer service my wife and I received. Everything was clean and organized and looked very delicious. We purchased a few meals and some desserts to enjoy with our kids and the whole family was impressed. You have gained many new customers.

Mason Reitsma

Best canolis in Brantford hands down, also have amazing sausage rolls and ready made frozen entrees that are a fair deal and can feed a whole family. Think M&M's but 15x the quality

Eddie Eskra

The food is incredibly over priced. There are plenty of places who use fresh ingredients and offer more value. $12.99 plus tax for a parm sandwich the size of a hot dog. Not worth it at all.

Elizabeth Martins

I love that this place is ALWAYS open on holidays. Last minute bbq with the family yesterday and everyone else was closed. I needed buns, desserts and most importantly I need dinner for 10 people. Took my chances and was so relieved when I drove in and saw they were open. Everything was fresh. Everything was delicious. The staff is always friendly. I need to remember to support the small businesses ALL the time because these guys work hard and they are always here for me when I need anything last minute. Thank you and happy Canada day.

Aref Thabet

I walked in and I was expecting a lot more variety like the bun shop. The few things that they did have however were actually very expensive, one sugar cookie was $5, pies for $10 and a single small brownie for 2.50. The quality was definitely not the greatest including the taste. I was expecting a lot more considering it’s an Italian bakery but I won’t be returning.

belinda mcgillivray

Excellent service, very very pricey. Serving size was ok. Not sure on thier idea of serving sizes with thier ready food trays. There is no way you are getting 8 to 16 servings from a 12 x10 tray of lasagna....8 at best if your have a toddler size appetite. So my opinion not worth the money...The cabbage roll we ok cabbage needed to be cooked a tad bit more. Meat had a very light flavor. The veal sandwich my sister said was good, but they charge .99 for each Extra topping such as Carmelized onions roasted mushrooms. I had the ham and I didn't eat the bread as it was a bit too hard for me. Only maybe 4 slices of ham and 1 peice of cheese for 9.99 Although the food was decent It will only be a one time visit for me. After spending 300 dollars.

Aly's Kitties

Overpriced and not a scratch bakery. Sweets are sent to this place from other places and just heated up there. Like the grocery stores do.

Simon Tennor

Best gluten free and vegan selection I’ve ever seen. The gluten free is soft and moist not dry and crumbly like most products in the stores. You can taste the quality of home baked goods. Hardest part is choosing what to eat first ????

Josh Jamieson

I had couple people went to this place over priced too expensive I recommend not go to this place

Brock Mullan

Cabbage rolls were fantastic. Just as good as my mom used to make. Most places load them up with rice but I love that you guys use lots of meat so it’s a great value and they taste amazing. Will be back soon.

Rick Lemont

Best veal sandwich I’ve had in years. Moved to Brantford from Toronto and I’m so glad I found this bakery. Everything looked delicious and I couldn’t believe the selection. Service was fast and friendly. Wife picked out some cannoli for the family and they were amazing. Happy to support local and happy to receive quality.

Nicole Simon

Absolutely the most over priced establishment I've ever been to. Also the worst tasting.

Cindy McDonalds

I’ve always baked my own birthday cakes for my family but after my surgery I haven’t been able to do any of my own baking. I went into san Agostino bakery and saw their lovely selection of cakes. They were so good, not too sweet and they tasted fresh and homemade. The whole family loved the cake and now I don’t have to feel bad for not making my own. I will be back. Everything else looks so fresh and delicious and we will try the food next time

Tonia B

I have to give a 1 star review based on utter disappointment... I take my car to the dealership I purchased it at in Brantford I live in Hamilton. I’ve seen the sign on the street for the year and a half I’ve owned my car. So today I thought ok let’s try it out. I walk in and the girl is super nice. She can possibly tell it’s my first time. She says let me know what you want we make it fresh for you. Ok great. Order the veal sandwich. Firstly...food is not fresh OUT OF A MICROWAVE. There are plenty of places in Hamilton I could’ve ordered a fresh veal on a bun. Secondly...veal sandwich with sweet peppers and an iced tea...$15.20?!?!? Absolutely absurd for a microwaved sandwich... Definitely not going back...

Sandra Giuliani

Lovely bakery and friendly staff. The service was exceptional and everything we purchased was as delicious as it looked. The bread was fresh, the food was tasty and the desserts were just as good as my own. Perfect place for me when I don’t feel like cooking or baking but still want home made quality food. I certainly recommend this wonderful family business. Thank you.

Hope Campbell

The food is tasteless and small portions and if you bring it to the attention of the owner she is not very friendly about it. HORRIBLE experience and will NEVER shop at this particular bakery ever again, nor will my friends or family! WORD OF MOUTH is a big one and this specific company needs to learn some respect for their customers!!!

Kevin Teixeira

Way over priced. My fault for not paying attention and should have looked at reviews first.

Elliott Taylor

Came here at the weekend after a recommendation from a friend. Purchased a mixture of sweets, pre made dinner and a hot sandwich, all the food was OK - the price of items was close to outrageous. Please consider this before your next visit.

Kayla B

the things I tried tasted manufactured the icing on the cake, the macaroons were terrible. strange the owners of this business say in reviews that " everything is baked in house " " or they have many "bakers" that supply their bakery....sure they might " bake it" there. Maybe even " mix prepackaged things together and bake it there " like grocery store bakeries do. But It is not a scratch bakery. And these co called other " bakers " they get things from as manufacturers. Guaranteed. also find it odd there are muliple 5 star reviews all written the same way at the same time. you can tell they are fake & written by the business themselves. if you want a scratch bakery you will not find it here.be very careful of deceptive words used by this business. I'd like to know were those macaroons I bought from you made by you? Without prepackaged ingredients? Or from a manufacturer? Is the icing in your shop made by you? Not prepackaged? What are the ingredients in the icing on your chocolate cupcakes? Icing is extremely simple to make with only a few ingredients. So please let me know the ingredient list for the icing on your choclate cupcakes.

Danielle Peterson

Most delicious selection selection of vegan desserts. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The staff is always wonderful and they always have something new. Also love that i can count on them being open on holidays. The thanksgiving pie was delicious!!

Donna Mele

Best gluten free cupcakes I’ve ever had. I have also tried the gluten free bread, buns and salted caramel tarts and everything was delicious. My favourite part is that I don’t need to order so it’s very convenient to walk in whenever I want and the other part I love is that I’m not stuck with a large quantity do I can buy just a couple of items to make sure I love them. The staff is friendly and very helpful ????

Lucia Monterale

We moved to Brantford from Mississauga and I’m so glad I found this bakery. The cakes are not only beautiful but they are the way cakes are supposed to be, light and not too sweet. My family loves the meat lasagna with the ricotta and we are glad they are open on Sundays because Sundays are for fresh cannoli and this bakery has the best selection we have seen.

Trish Westenhafer

I stopped by as I heard so much rave about their products. Well wen everything was rung in I paid 42.00 for 3 tarts .ham sub..apple turnover an cannoli which tastes like garbage stale never ever again prices are way over priced $5 for a maple tart which is not made of gold.An the lady who works there u my friend need manners..Save ur self the trip..

Mike Diflorio

Paid $6 for a Sfogliatelle that tasted 2 days old...everything is over priced there!

Allison De Cosmi

The woman I spoke to was super nice and the bakery was really clean. However, I went in because I saw they offered Gluten Free products, and ended up grabbing a loaf of bread. It cost me $15!! That's CRAZY overpriced, even for something gluten free. The taste/texture/quality was okay - nothing I can't already get at the grocery store for $6.99. I won't be going back.

Marisa T

I kept seeing them posting their own advertisements on Facebook. We were out that way and decided to stop in. I have to say....very disappointed. I simply asked if they had slices of cherry cheesecake instead of the whole cake(for my little one) and was given attitude. Tried their potato salad and it was just like the containers they sell in grocery stores. A friend got a sub which costs $10.00 and it was less than a 6inch with disgusting deli meat. Way over-priced. I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Liliana DiDomenico

I love the fact that it’s home made and I can definitely taste the quality and freshness. Great selection of gluten free baked goods. The bread and the cupcakes are by far my favourite. I had no idea there was also so much food selection. Everything looks delicious!

Mirco Defelice

We love the cannoli selection. The traditional ones are my favourite. We bought a few birthday cakes already and they are very good too. The staff is fantastic and I like that the store looks very clean.

Cee S

Wildly overpriced, rude and condescending staff. $9 for 1 sugar cookie. Cannolis are half the size of a regular cannoli (that’s being generous) barely mediocre quality. Waste of money. Would never return. I almost used this place to cater for an event, walked in today to give them a try and wish I never did. The person that rang me through was argumentative/confrontational and rude for no reason. She also went on to tell me if I paid cash I would get a free treat but if I pay with card no treat and a $1 charge to pay with card. Extremely awkward experience. Awful feeling especially in a time of uncertainty for so many, trying to support local and to be treated so rudely. Does not respect/follow covid-19 protocol cashier HAD NO MASK ON

Jennifer Ainger

The owner belittles her customers, the food is extremely overpriced and disgusting. The “baked goods” get brought frozen and repackaged. If the owner tries to lie about it I know where she gets it from and I know the delivery driver. I would’ve given this place zero stars but unfortunately you can’t.

Matthew McGregor

Warning to possible customers This place is a manufactured scam. I feel I need to warn people of the prices and quality of food. The reviews here do not lie. Avoid this place like the plague. My wife and I came here after seeing it advertised on Facebook as a homemade bakery. We got 2 medium salads, 3 small (bite-size) Sicilian cannolis, and a butter tart and our total was $35.96 (ouch!). At the first bite, we could tell the salads (potato and macaroni) tasted exactly like the grocery store kind (Ziggy's), and the cannolis were exactly what you get at Metro (the shell and filling tasted like they were the same brand as what is supplied to grocery stores), but they were selling miniatures for $4 each! Definitely do not recommend. Since the 3 cannolis totaled $12, the tart was $3, plus 13% tax that is $16.95. That means the 2 medium store cheap tasting salads were over $8 each. We feel scammed and cheated. DO NOT GO HERE. I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET IT. Edit: by the way, if you haven't noticed, all of the 5 star reviews are by fake accounts. They all only have 1 review in their history. This place is truly awful and extremely over priced.

Darren Smeed

This place is in big trouble. Owner is nice but has no idea on how to run a business. All kinds of tacky signs all around the complex. Went in for a veal sandwich for lunch. I kid you not it was heated in a microwave and then the sauce was heated in a microwave. She handed me the sandwich and I couldn't believe how light it was. I took one bite and ended up throwing it in the garbage it had to have been the most terrible sauce and rubbery veal I've ever tasted. Their prices are absolutely ridiculous. They're not getting the business they think they would so everything basically is stale just a matter of time. So sad

Sommer Walkins

I drove from Hamilton to get the perfect bread. With the help of Suzanna, I was able to make exactly what I planned. Stacked mac and cheese grilled cheese. Also bought desert for my dad and aronchini (spelling possibly wrong) everything was lovely starting with my interaction.. highly recommend this bakery. Going forward I will drive from Hamilton, one for the quality but also for my experience and the help I was given.. not great pics but my whole family loved it. Thank you again for all of your help

Michelle K

I visited recently after hearing about this place from my sister. Coming from out of town, I checked the website and coming from out of town decided to purchase one of the family meal for 4 specials. It happened to be lasagna, garlic bread and cannoli for $39.99. As I’m watching the very pleasant lady assemble the meal package, I’m pursuing the store and noticed that sliced of lasagna are sold for 6.99, cannoli are 1.99 and a circular (approx 8”) garlic bread was 9.99. My package included two of the slices, cut in half to make four servings, 4 cannoli and 4 small pieces of prizes garlic bread(of different variety). I have a weakness for rum balls and decided to add a rum ball (2.99) to my order, which totalled $50.98. As I’m driving home, I’m trying to figure out how my total was that high. Is food taxed? 39.99 plus 2.99 should have equaled 42.98. Upon returning home, I searched my bag for a receipt but didn’t find one. Overall, very disappointed with both the food, tasted bland, and the rum ball seemed to be missing one key ingredient! Rum! And more than a little miffed that I believe I was ripped off. When I totalled buying things separately, I would have paid 31.93 for the family meal package deal, a deal I paid 39.99 for!, and perhaps even paid tax on that! Or maybe a convenience charge, as I didn’t cook the food. I will not be returning. And will not be recommending this establishment to anyone, ever. Rather, to all my friends in Brantford, I will advise they stay away from here.

Katia B

The " baked goods " here are from a factory. Don't buy from this place. All sweets are what you would get from a grocery store. Everything is ordered from manufacturers and suppliers but placed in displays to look like real baked goods. Pricing is outrageous. I dare you, to the owner, can you please counter what I said?? Are your " chocolate butter tarts " made from scratch? Are any of your sweet baked goods made from scratch? If so what ones???

Kaily Timmons

Best pies I’ve had in a long time. Went in for the first time on thanksgiving weekend and fell in love with this place! I had no idea they had such a big selection. Thought they were just a bakery but I will definitely be going back for dinner. Everything looked fresh and delicious, the staff was so pleasant and helpful and the store was very clean and organized. I’m a Customer for life lol!!

Jessica McMillan

I love your keto desserts. I tried to save money by making it myself. By the time I bought all the ingredients (which were very expensive) and by the time I baked some muffins and cupcakes it ended up costing me double and they didn’t even turn out good. I found the keto stuff a bit pricy but quickly had a greater appreciation for the convenience and quality you offer so thank you. I will be sure to tell all my family and friends who are doing keto because your stuff is actually delicious.

Samanta Perduni

My husband and I love this little place. It has a bit of everything. We have tried the cannoli and maple tarts which are the best we’ve had and our favourite by far the the lasagna. We keep telling everyone about them ????

Antonella Vali

My family and I just live your bakery. You have a great selection of pastries and we’ve never seen so many cannoli choices. Our favourite dessert is your cakes because they are nice and light, not too sweet but they are creamy. We moved to Brantford last year and we are so glad we found your bakery. We love it ????

Evan Riley

OH MY GOSH. I cannot get over this place. I really wish I read the reviews before we went there on the weekend. My parents picked up stuff for me, and I was SHOCKED when they came home with the bill! I only got 3 cannolis, a sugar cookie, 2 small slices of pie, 2 red velvet cupcakes, 2 small slices of cheesecake and a small tray of frozen cabbage rolls. It cost over $95!!!! I honestly could not believe it. All of the stuff is not homemade either! The " baked goods " were clearly manufactured. Not homemade at all. You could tell there was all sorts of ingredients in these things that are no different than what you buy at your local grocery store but 5 times the cost!!! The cheesecake even is ordered from the cheesecake factory and they don't make it ( or barely anything else ) Despicable rip off artists!! People do not go there!!!! DISGUSTING AND SHAMEFUL!!

Anette Leblanc

You guys make delicious cakes. Thank you so much for accommodating us last minute. The whole family had seconds lol. We loved that your cakes are not too sweet and you can taste that they are fresh and home made. We will be back for all our birthdays for your delicious cakes!!!!

This bakery has become my favourite place of all times. I can come here fun lunch, for dinner or when I need a birthday cake or desserts for any occasion. The girls here are always friendly and the food is always fresh. The presentation is second to none and it’s the only bakery I know that is peanut-free and serving keto, vegan, gluten free and more. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out. I would definitely recommend this place for whatever you need!

Great customer service. However I was not happy with my purchases. I bought cannolis and was not impressed when the cream was only literally filled on the ends only. I buy cannolis alot they are my families favorite so to find the cream filling missing was very disappointing. All the places I have bought from always have the cream all thecway through. Lastly, I got a veal sandwich and I must have had the toughest piece ever. I could not bite through it. It was too tough and didn't enjoy it at all.

The owner is a liar. She charged 11.50 for a piece of lasagna that costs 7.99. And she charged my credit card twice even though I only bought one piece of lasagna. This happened Sunday November 21, 2021.

The purchase of 2 veal on a bun with 3 toppings each , 4 cannelloni pastries and 10 arancini balls my bill was $85 dollars tell me if that wasn't a rip off....I was gonna rave about your food but I could feed my whole family of 5 for 85 bucks. Don't think I will be back anytime soon.

i feel bad for leaving a negative review because the people who work there are very sweet, but that's the only good thing i can say. this bakery is close to my work so i've visited a few times. i've never had anything, sweet or savoury that wasn't stale. the first few times i thought i must've gone on a bad day, but they are consistently terrible. i don't mind paying a little bit more for premium products but my mind's blown with how much they charge for really really badly baked goods. either i hesitantly finish something because i don't want to waste the $5 I spent, or I throw it out after a few bites. vowing to never go back here again.

The maple raisin tarts hit the spot after enjoying a fresh meatball sandwich today. The family and I loved the Cremespressos!!
