I'd really suggest only buying things that are in packages, and not the cookies that are in the glass cabinet with no back on it. I wish I'd had my camera with me, as the door was open as it was hot and the jam filled Empire cookies were covered in yellow jackets that were eating the jam. There were dozens of hornets on those cookies. When I mentioned it I was told, "it happens when it's hot and the door is left open!" Gee, maybe get a door for the back of the glass case? I always think of this place as "The Hornet Cookie Bakery." I have also seen this happen more than once in warmer months when I have been in there. It was not an isolated incident. They did not seem concerned about this at all.

No frills here just the basics for a great price. A huge selection of pound cake, lots of different cookies, standard loafs of bread and simple buns. I actually think their donuts are one of the best things on the menu, yummy. That said, I tried some breads/buns which were light on flavor, some people love that so you can highlight what's on the bread. This said all of their items are very inexpensive and done well overall.

I love this place!! Their fresh banana bread is my weakness. Even my dad from out of town makes requests for me to bring one or two over. They also have tarts, cookies and other sweet desserts. I really enjoy their raisin bread and of course.. the buns! A wide variety for whatever you like. Supposedly good meat pies too. And if they don’t have it out front, just ask. They might have them in the back just made fresh!

First impressions: smells great, most pastries look nice. But some pasties are over a day old including ones made with cream. A cream and chocolate cake was on display and it was cracking and dry. Not fresh. When inquired about it, told it was over a day old and not on sale. Sadly we left and wont be returning

I wish a lower rating & star were possible. Unfortunately, it's not. I bought a wild blueberry pie 9 inch, boston cream donuts, cherry danishes & chocolate chip cookies. All of them were exceedingly terrible. The blueberry pie-did not taste like blueberries at all. The filling tasted like artificially grape flavoured cough syrup. The pie pastry was not fresh at all-the pastry was cracked from the box as it was old. The texture of the pastry was not fresh-it was very dry & crumbly. The boston cream donuts tasted like old, box weird pudding. The chocolate on top of them did not taste like anything it was extremely dull & had a very weird strong flavour of artificial. I don't know what kind of ingredients are used. However, they are not legtimate or real as everything tastes artificial. The cherry danishes-the pastry was aged & not fresh. The white frosting tasted like wasted sugar. The cherry filling tasted nothing resembling cherries. Rather, it tasted like cherry cough syrup. The chocolate chip cookies were full of sugar, sugar & sugar-they had more sugar than anything else & they were old. This bakery needs to stop using cough syrup in their recipes. Furthermore, they need to start serving real & fresh baked goods/ pastries. I still cannot believe that none of their products have any ingredients listed! How is that even logical, food safe or approved by food inspection/agency? They don't list the ingredients used because it is only artificial waste & cough syrup. Everything I bought was extremely stale! Old & revolting! Maybe, they need to open a pharmacy to put their cough syrup to use. I cannot take the disgusting taste out of my mouth. I have tried numerous times with brand-name mouthwash. I am very worried that I will be getting sick from trying their baked disasters. This bakery needs to be renamed: Cough Drop Bakery. An extremely horrible, atrocious experience. I would not feed their things to ants or worms only straight to composting. The composter will not be able to stomach it. Hence, it will be left to rot (which it rightfully deserves).

Great baked goods but counter service sometimes seems indifferent to whether they care if you're there or not . One younger girl served me a few months ago and actually seemed perturbed that I was buying the rest of the "Too tall" cake they had in the case. She proceeded to tell me that it was the exact same cake that M&M sold and that they came from the same place Eminem's bought from and that I could get it M&M's. I told her yes I realized it was the same cake that M&M sold but that M&M's charged almost twice the price at $16.99 for a full cake whereas you guys are charging about $2.50 for a third of the cake so I asked her why I would possibly ever buy it at M&M's. She looked even more perturbed after I made that comment and begrudgingly served me the last 3 pieces. I'm guessing since it was fairly close to closing that she probably would have taken those home rather than left them there until Monday and was a little upset that she didn't get to take home some free TwoTall cake but I could be wrong. blows my mind why any business would Direct business to another store and make such a comment at the same time but this just goes to show you that every bake shop doesn't necessarily bake their own Goods in house and the markup on things like the two tall cake must be extraordinary if The Bun Shoppe Bakery is simply buying the boxes Frozen, thawing out, discarding the boxes and putting them in their coolers possibly leading people to think they were maybe baked fresh in house. The cake is yummy though

The fabulous smell in here will make you want to buy everything on the store. They have a wide selection of pies, brownies and butter tarts. I have only tried the pies and brownies so far but they were spot on. I also noticed they have some Jamaican beef pies, sausage rolls and meat pies. I can't wait to explore more!
