Cosy and modern little café with enough on the menu and some interesting food. The service was friendly even if the coffee took a while since it's just one guy making them all. There's a bar to sit at with an outside view or a few couches inside in the next room which I think is the lobby of a hotel. Would return to try the food :)

I highly recommend this place. I've lived in Canada 15 years now, and the other half of my life before that I lived in Colombia, the land of amazing coffee. Here at White Bark, Siri, a kind and personable barista, made me the best latte I have ever had in recent memory. Two thumbs up to Siri and White Bark!

My favorite coffee shop in Banff! We went twice and would've gone more if we'd been able to stay in Banff longer! I had a mocha, which was delicious, my boyfriend got chai which he also liked. Their yogurt and berries with granola is locally made- it was so delicious and a great value! Perfect place for breakfast or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

As one who has visited Banff a lot, this is the best bang for your buck option! $4.50 for a 16oz Americano can't be beat anywhere else in Banff. This place fills your drink right to the top of you know what I mean. Not like other establishments that fill your cup half way for $6+. Grab some granola too! A must try!

Good food good coffee poor service. The cashier was a bit rude. After I got my coffee I noticed that the cashier hadn't gotten my food but I wasnt sure. So I asked if it was maybe in the heater. She said yes. Then proceeded after to get it. She could have just said she forgot instead of straight up lying. Then because I needed to catch a bus I simply asked if she could give it to me as I was worried about missing the bus. As she still had not given me the 2nd item I had ordered. I thanked her but it she appeared so annoyed at having to do this. In fact her face was clearly irritated.

I was looking for the best coffee in Banff. I asked at the Moose Hotel, they said Whitebark. I thought they are biased so I went for supper. The restaurant we stopped at said "Whitebark". They were mad I thought. I asked random strangers, six to be in fact, they all said "Whitebark". So as we headed out of town to trek back to Cowtown, we stopped at Whitebark. A nice gentleman took my order and filled me with delicious bean juice aka. coffee. I added a small amount of cream and sugar, heresy to coffee enthusiasts, necessary to stay awake driving back to Cowtown after a relaxing spa day. Easily the best coffee in Banff! If you want fantastic coffee, nuanced and not the burnt weak coffee roasts of other chains this was THE stop. Downside was the sole fact I have to travel to Banff to enjoy but it's a great reason to go.

Service is unfriendly (which is really weird because every place generally in this part of Canada was so very friendly). The muffin was dry (and a bit stale). Hot Chocolate was made using water and not great. Seating is awkward as it's connected to the hotel. Drinks took forever!

We were looking for a place in town with wifi and outlets to settle down and do some work. This place delivered just that with some delicious and plentiful food and drink options. Seating is limited to the bar by the window but customers come and go quickly so you're sure to get a spot eventually. The place got super packed during the morning and afternoon rushes, but that was fine with us. The bathrooms for customers were in the adjoining hotel lobby and were a lil fancy! We stayed pretty much the whole day! Great place.

Not only the best cafe in the town but one of the best cafes ever!! I wish they had one in Toronto. The espresso they use is really tasty and the make the absolute tasty cappuccino. You can also purchase the beans. They also have sweet and savoury snacks with rotating menu, so every day you can try a new flavours and snacks. The chocolate muffin and blueberry banana bread are from heaven.

Good coffee, but a warning to anyone else with a soy allergy - there is definitely soy in some of their baking and it is not labelled to indicate such. In hindsight I understand that I should have asked and the onus is on me, but I imagine many others might also not expect for a standard muffin to contain soy. Only posting to save others some suffering - the muffin was tasty at least haha.

Not impressed. Ordered a latte-just as the barista handed it to me she spilled a large amount out. I assumed she would just remake it, as this place is pricy and I would assume it would be common practice. Instead she said she would fix it and added steamed milk and handed it over. Great matche latte and customer service. I would suggest going earlier because some of the items on the menu are sold out already by lunch time such as the soup of the day & breakfast cup. But overall great experience and hangout spot. I would suggest tourist to try these locals coffee shops instead of the usual Starbucks.

We are super disappointed with this establishment. We ordered our products, drinks and food to consume on the spot, we presented our proofs of vaccination, then after paying, the staff asked us to consume on the terrace outside with a temporary -20 ° by indicating that the places inside are reserved for the customers of the hotel only. OK, yeah. A place where the folks care about the coffee and how well it's made. I'll TAKE it. In a ski town like Banff, this place is necessary and welcome. My oat milk latte was brilliant, just the right temperature, too. I had two cookies--a chocolate chip something-or-another and an oatmeal raisin coconut awesome. Their textures and flavor profiles were completely different and I was lovin' it. The staff were attentive, super-kind, and gave me a bit of sass, which I think they could tell I LOVED. Good banter is sometimes hard to come by--they had it in SPADES. It was a great way to start a sad morning (because I had to leave Banff).

Cool wee cafe, unfortunately the staff experience let this place down. It was almost like we had inconvenienced them by being there … I get it, it’s 8:30pm and they probably wanted to go home but surely they could at least pretend to give a sh*t. On top of that they had ran out of supplies so couldn’t make the hot chocolates they had advertised for the chocolate trail, and staff rudely told us to move when we sat in the wrong seating area. Stopped by because I heard that this is one of Banff’s best coffee shop and I was not disappointed at all. I got dairy-free iced coffee and my sister got iced matcha latte. Both tasted great! I also got a savoury pastry, though I forgot what it was, and was able to try their blueberry banana bread. I am a huge fan of banana bread and never thought that adding blueberry was even a thing but I loved the combination. The place itself has good vibes and you can just sit there the entire day while people-watching. Also recommend the ginger ale soda! My mom and uncle were huge fans!

This is the best coffee in Banff. Maybe in Canada. Maybe in the world! I don't know how they do it, it's smooth and perfect in every way. Located perfectly in the heart of Banff it's tiny inside with a little bit of seating outside. This isn't a coffee shop you can expect to spend a few hours writing or reading, it's kind of a quick stop. I highly recommend the latte with oatmilk as well as the almond bar if you want a treat. We went here several times, it's a delightful way to start the day!

Highly recommend their pork and fennel pastry, it comes with a tomato chutney (might be remembering this wrong) which paired so well with it, it was so good! Pretty good coffee and banana bread. I had a cold brew but was hoping to have the spicy Aztec hot chocolate mentioned in a review. Everything they had on their seasonal menu was iced even though it was 10 degrees outside. Sadface. Everyone seems to be Australian there which is neither good nor bad. Just surprising. Well, I take that back. The accents are awesome. Bit of a hard place to work because there is no escaping the glare from the sun, even when it's cloudy.

If you are looking for the best cup of Hot Chocolate, look no further, it’s the best cup I’ve EVER had! My husband and I were there for our 10th anniversary and found the perfect place to warm up in the -30* weather. It was absolute perfection!! The employees were amazing! They were professional, friendly, kind, and make a mean cup with a plethora of flavor. They let us take boiling water and throw it in the air where it completely evaporated. Can only happen when the temps are extremely low, coolest thing ever! We met friendly, amazing locals, that had great activity recommendations. This cafe is a must while visiting Banff!

Staff was unfriendly, food was mediocre and the coffee lacked the season of a barrister. I ordered a pastry that looked like folded slice of bread cocooning a piece of bacon cradling a soft egg. There were inconsistencies in the patries so I pointed to one and she gave me the very worst one. I felt the staff could have been friendlier for the intinate space, but maybe the mountain altitude and the gloomy day just conspired to bring out their worst sides.

Ordered an Americano for myself and a cappuccino with almond milk for my girlfriend (vegan) not only did we not receive the Americano, we received a latte or another cappuccino, we were not informed which had the almond milk which resulted in my girlfriend consuming the drink with regular milk in it before I tried mine and realized that this was in fact the drink she had ordered and that neither were the Americano I had ordered.

Great location and style. There is a small bar to sit at indoors which faces the street and was quite nice. There is also a large outdoor seating area. I only give one star because of the views from the patio. We ordered 2 lattes to stay and it took 15 minutes for the coffee to be made.

Always so good!! Friendly service oriented people work here. They care. The coffee is good and strong and the snack foods delicious. I am not a vegan / organic seeking person, however their vegan banana baked treats are AMAZING. Best of all the cookies and muffins.... and I tried most of them. All good but not as good.

Mocha was great, so was cheese cake! Great location and cafe design, super relaxing and comfortable. Only problem was the espresso was mediocre, possible because it was over-extracted. Staff were friendly.
