The store is clean and bright, it has a delicious smell. We ordered flat white that tasted so good, olive and dried tomato focaccia the texture the taste was amazing and for pastries we had almond cake and chocolate custard croissant that tasted so good. Highly recommended.

Love the clean and quint vibe of the newer desaturated colors and black trim look of this strip. Uprising bakeshop and espresso was a great pick me up in the morning where they also have plenty of delectable pastries from Savory to sweet! Had an iced americano and it was super delicious. Also got to sit in the little umbrella’d area just outside the shop to enjoy my coffee drink! Would come again!!!

Super delicious vegan chocolate cookies! Wish we would have tried one of the vegan sandwiches. Lots of loaves of bread, some crescents, some jams. Nice staff. Not too busy. Would definitely pop by again in the future. Nice ambiance inside as well.

Had a sandwich and a piece of banana cheesecake which was SO so good. Friendly staff and a cool little shop!! Will definitely return to try some drinks and more treats and bread of course!

Excellent sourdough …one of the best I had… Only if their service is up to their bread standards this place would be perfect. Be welcoming to foreign people too. And slicing the bread is not rocket science. Specifically there is only one customer.

Got the veggie croissant. Freaking delicious. Pricey at $10 but was worth it. The service was also above and beyond. I must return to try their other items.

Good coffee and bagels but underwhelming service unfortunately. After spending about $25 for bagels and coffee, the barista forgot our coffee. Then they charged us again for a different coffee. Spent about 10-15 minutes in the shop and two other people seem to have issues with their orders too. They probably rely on tourists who come to the shop just once.

I love having this bakery near my home. They make amazing food and always have new items in the window so you can expect to find something new each visit. Excellent for lunch. The food reminds me of when I'm in Europe, grabbing bakery food for lunch or a snack.

My daughter having food allergies to dairy products, it was possible to have a hot chocolate made with soy milk with a chocolate syrup free of dairy products. For my part, I took a hot chocolate flavored with caramel. We received extra service, both in terms of hospitality, listening to our special needs in terms of allergies and when we asked that our chocolates be placed in our thermal bottles. Indeed, as we were a 15-minute walk from our hotel and it was -27 ° C with the feeling, we wanted to take the time to savor it while still warm when we got back to the hotel. The employee even made the effort to warm our bottles with hot water before pouring the chocolate, since they were frozen from having spent the afternoon in our backpack. We didn't have any sandwiches or pastries, but they looked delicious! The only negative point is that due to the sanitary situation, it was not possible to sit inside while normally there is a counter with a few benches. Pour ma part, j'ai pris un chocolat chaud aromatisé au caramel. Nous avons reçu un service extra, autant en ce qui concerne l'accueil, l'écoute de nos besoins particuliers en terme d'allergies que lorsque nous avons demandé que nos chocolats soient mis dans nos bouteilles thermales. En effet, comme nous étions à 15 minutes de marche de notre hôtel et qu'il faisait -27°C avec le ressenti, nous voulions prendre le temps de le savourer encore chaud une fois revenues à l'hôtel. L'employée a même fait l'effort de réchauffer nos bouteilles à l'eau chaude avant de verser le chocolat, puisque celles-ci étaient glacées d'avoir passé l'après-midi dans notre sac à dos. Nous n'avons pas pris de sandwichs ni de viennoiseries, mais ils avaient l'air succulents! Le seul point négatif est qu'en raison de la situation sanitaire, il n'était pas possible de s'asseoir à l'intérieur alors que normalement, il y a un comptoir avec quelques bancs. Bref, c'est un endroit fabuleux que je recommande à toute personne qui passe devant.

The service was amazing, the atmosphere fantastic, Ana help me with everything!! I ordered, the ham and cheese croissant she ask me if I wanted grilled and it was delicious. I also order a chocolate chip Danish, really soft and full of chocolate chips.. I completely recommend going here when you come to Banff, fair prices, out of the chart service!!!

Delicious spot for grabbing a hot drink and enjoying some quality baked goods! Their items are not on the pricier side but that’s expected in ski/mountain towns. Other than that, service, snacks and drinks are great!

The Uprising Bake Shop was across the street from my hotel and I figured I'd give it a try (being my first time in Banff) and I was not disappointed. I liked the vibe of the shop and the options for beverages and snacks. It became my go to for breakfast while in Banff.

Exactly what we were needing in Banff! A modern bakery on Banff Ave with easy to grab takeaway brekky, lunch or snack options as well as coffee/tea options. Simple yet modern design inside and the pastries, sandwiches and breads are beautifully presented. The cinnamon bun was a definite highlight! I’d definitely recommend stopping by for a couple of goodies then head down to the park to enjoy your snacks surrounded by the mountains. Expect a line as it’s just opened but we only waited for about 5 mins before entering at 11am on a Saturday morning which was quicker than we expected! A little pricey but understandable seeing as it’s a craft bakery in an incredible location on Banff Avenue. Definitely excited to stop by again soon!

Items are bit on the pricier side ($5-6 for each bakery item). Latte (~$6 for a small) was on the more bitter thin side, and not very frothy. I ordered a latte, a cinnamon roll and a chocolate custard danish. The cinnamon roll was pretty big with a cream cheese frosting. Taste wise, everything was good but nothing extraordinary. It is a cute shop, just slightly pricey compared to other coffee options in town.

Absolutely delicious.. our new favourite spot in Banff. Chocolate croissant and apple custard tart… omg good! we tried the daily sandwiches and breakfast croissants as well, everything was so good that we were here every morning(and afternoon lol) the sourdough bread is a must, the French loaf is so moist, and the Yukon is so flavourful.. wish I had brought home more;) can’t wait to visit again!

Everyone in our group of 7 found tasty treats, especially the cinnamon buns with tangy, not-too-sweet-but-plenty-in-a-good-way cream cheese topping! A fun breakfast to eat in the park next door.

Just ordered a hot chocolate and Chai and the drink was warm and not hot. I try to support local but when the drink can't even be hot, so disappointing. No contact to call the location, so I am leaving this message...very disappointing to say the least.

I ordered sourdough from Uprising during the early days of March 2020. Today I popped in to grab some lunch. Absolutely delicious. I had the vegan mexican sandwich..a light space and loads of flavour. Not sure what is in the Chai latte but it is awesome. Baker/owner was there to greet everyone and there were plenty of hands to help. What a great addition to grab and go! I'll be back, often.

This Cafe is a delightful addition to the downtown Banff area! Their food is so fresh, upgraded ingredients, lovely coffee, etc! They are open nice and early, the staff is amazing and we just loved our breakfast here!!!

oh myyy I never write any reviews but I wish we have this kind of bakery in Canmore! Their sandwiches are one of a kind! Always excited to go there and try something new. Do yourself a favour and try avocado pesto toast or BLT! Amazing atmosphere and friendly service!

Uprising? This place should be called downfall. The customer service was the worst part. The lady serving was a rude witch who couldn't make cup of coffee to save her life. Sausage roll was cold (even though she claimed she heated it) and tasted like lard. Do yourself and your tastebuds a favour and avoid this place like the plague!

Stopped in today for lunch and had the sundried tomato and cheese on a danish and was it ever good. The owner was there to greet and serve customers - nice touch! I hope he keeps that up. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Banff.

I love this place, my favorite coffee shop in Banff. I love the welcoming atmosphere and their friendly staff! If you're a fan of sandwiches, definitely try their salmon and chicken pesto ones (sooo yummy). Never tired of their good coffee. Good job, guys!

I want to thank Uprising Bake Shop for completely destroying my ability to enjoy an almond croissant anywhere else in the world. Having experience these croissants in other places and other continents, I have to say that their croissant is one of the finest I have tasted and I can wait for my next trip to Banff. Highly recommended!
