I like this location. It’s quiet, calm vibes, great place to read books or work in your laptop. Several tables, chairs lounge chairs. Ordered flat white and it’s perfect to perk me up in my 2hr drive back to the city. The service was fast and all crew were cheerful. No parking though, but I just parked across at the grocery lot.

This place has a nice ambiance, which makes it a great place for meeting with a friend for a chat over a coffee. They also serve wine and beer and other refreshments. There is a good outdoor patio where people like to sit in the sun and watch people stroll by on Banff Avenue. There is even a gas fireplace to keep warm on cool evenings. There are issues of The Economist as well as newspapers available for reading, so it's a good place to get your daily news fix.

Loved the homey, cozy vibe of this place, as well as the stunning Mountain views. WiFi work great. Got a few hours of work done here before heading out of town. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Coffee is okay, staff seem disinterested in customers...'just okay' doesn't cut it when you have people from around the world and they choose your coffee shop. Giving people a caffeine fix first thing in the morning to travelers and people off to work should invigorate staff...you have the possibility if 'making' or 'breaking' their start to the day!!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Today we tried to grab a latte at Starbucks but they closed at 3 pm so we went down the street to Good Earth. We put on masks to enter but as we were standing in line we were told that we would not be served without proof of vaccine and ID...even if we were taking it to go. We respect those businesses that are forced to follow the provincial mandate to require proof of vax for inside eating, but this is far beyond that. I will NEVER return to any Good Earth for as long as i live...and encourage others to do the same. Goodbye Bad Earth

Normally I don’t like Good Earth. However, this location seems to have a good combination of friendly staff and decent food. I would recommend their sunshine breakfast wrap. While not very filling, it is delicious. I ended up eating three of them; they went well with the carrot and mango smoothie. I would recommend going there to have a nice quick bite for breakfast. Seating was ample even during Covid. Also, they used some really nice smelling Rocky Mountain House sanitizer.

Wait in line for 14 minutes, and ask about the cinnamon rolls. “We don’t have any.” I ask about the ones in the oven that look done. Very annoyed, she walks over to the oven and looks at the side. “No, they aren’t done. It will be ‘a while’”. Since it’ll be a while I order a muffin. As I walk to the end of the counter for my coffee, an employee opens the oven and takes the rolls out, and places them on a plate for sale, within 30 seconds of my order. I stop right back at the counter and say “Looks like it wasn’t a while - they were done in 30 seconds. May I trade the muffin for what I originally wanted?” “No, you can go wait in the back of the line and order it.” Impressively rude, callous, and careless.

I received terrible service. I walked in and was looking at the food case, waiting for my turn. The staff took other people before me. I was not greeted, made my order and waited for my food. Waited like 10 mins...and asked about my food. The guy went to check, and asked the blonde female employee to she replied "I put it on the opposite counter...and the mumbled something". The guy came to and said "it's over there" pointed and then walked away. Why take my name if you are not going to call it?

I couldn't get enough of this place! If you like tea lattes, try their Vanilla Roiboos. It's the best I've had. They also offer a variety of breakfast items which was very convenient considering you can get to this place through the Elk + Avenue Hotel lobby. Live music and a fire pit... what more do you need?

I give this place a 2 star and I never rate an establishment under 3 ⭐️ it’s a cute cafe shop but one of the female waitresses seemed to be having a bad day or something and decided giving my gf dirty looks and attitude was a good idea; as a business owner that’s a huge no no for me but I understand sometimes we have off days, I’m not sure how long this individual has worked with the public but she needs some training or find a job were you don’t interact with 100s of ppl a day. Just saying (she was a Caucasian taller female) didn’t see a name tag.

Slurping on an almond latte whilst observing the the Rockies is a treat. The banana bread is also yummy and a great little snack to go. This is a great coffee house and cosy joint which offers a nice outdoor seating area with fire pit. My only reason for a four star is I personally think ‘Silk’ plant-based milk alternative brand is quite cheap and doesn’t taste great with coffee. It also didn’t taste very thick and barista style to be honest and was very small for a large (expecting at least 16 ounce)

I had a frustrating experience here. We stood in line for a good 15 minutes, only to reach the till and be told we wouldn’t be served without proof of vaccination. I explained we were taking it to go but were still refused service. If this is your protocol, fine, but please don’t waste people’s time. Put a sign or a guard at the door so we can go support another business.

I ordered several baked items which were fresh and tasted great. I came in with my dogs as it appeared to be grab and go and I didn't see any signs barring pets. I asked one of the staff if dogs were ok inside while I ordered at the register and she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. A minute later there was a guy yelling from behind the counter in a menacing tone that dogs are not allowed in this service establishment. Would it have been so much more difficult for him to step out from behind the counter and politely advise me of this policy? Your business is built on the visitor economy, train your staff to know more about service than just ordering and serving.

Went for a coffee in the evening (6pm) and was served quickly. While the lady who took my order started making my coffee, another employee arrived to assist. I understand employees talk behind the counter - but sometimes they forget that the customer can hear very clearly what is being talked about. Specialty coffees shouldnt be so hot they burn your mouth/lips. Temperature is very important especially when it comes to the beans. My coffee tasted burnt, which was very disappointing as I have visited other Good Earth locations and had great tasting coffee.

Wonderful staff, excellent ambiance, and delightful food offer a welcome and surprisingly quiet break from the busy streets of Banff. Enjoyed a flavourful, but not overwhelming, medium roast coffee and a decent dirty chai latte. As well as a beatnik wrap (delicious and refreshing), Sicilian flat bread (crispy and wonderful warmed up on a cool late summer day), and an absurdly and perfectly decadent white chocolate berry scone (helpfully recommended by our charming English barista, as there were too many delicious-looking baked goods to choose from).

Decent place for a morning coffee. Late was made quickly, though it lacked flavor. Espresso was rich with caramel under tones. I was disappointed in the bakery selection, no muffins or pastries, just sandwiches. Overall a good place for a coffee in the morning or really anytime.

We've had coffee and bites all over Banff during our 5 day stay. The quality here beat the other places we tried. The sandwiches and pastries were surprisingly good and the espresso drinks were hot and well made. Comfortable place to spend some time too - we loved the outdoor space even though it was cold out.

The chocolate zucchini loaf was delicious - tasted very moist and chocolately. The latte was ok , definitely more on the bitter side. The service on the other hand was extremely slow. I came around 11 am and waited 15 minutes for my latte to be made. There were 4 baristas behind the counter and nobody else in line.... really really slow.

Staying at the Elk & Avenue hotel for several days. I walked by the coffee shop on the first day as I’m not a fan of hotel coffee usually. I wish I had not! On the second day my daughter and I went to pick a breakfast treat. The staff were so kind! They made a point to involve my 4 year old daughter in picking a tasty breakfast treat. There are lots of well priced breakfast sandwich options for grownups. The atmosphere is beautiful. I will be looking forward to returning when seating is permitted as the cafe is located across from the downtown skating rink and has beautiful views of the mountains and downtown. Definitely will return.

My chai latte was not mixed and it was hot water with chunks in it, I was unable to drink it. If this was not bad enough, I had a bad expirience with a uncooperative employee who made me beg to purchase a bottle of water. I had to explain to her that their free provided water on the side would not work because I physically needed the bottle so I could throw it in my backpack for later.

Great little coffee shop. The staff were friendly and prompt with my order, and I was a fan of the hip but minimalist decor they had going on. I had two drinks here - just a regular medium roast drip coffee and a cinnamon flat white. Both of them were great, but the cinnamon flat white was particularly delicious. I also had their deli panini, which was also great. Definitely going to stop by here again before leaving Banff.

Come for the coffee, stay for the food. This little coffee shop is a real gem. Beverages were delicious and prepared with care, I loved their capacino. It was such a nice location we decided to stay for lunch with the whole family. Great selections of soups/stews, salads and sandwhiches. Perfect for lunch after a morning hike. Even better the cafe is licenced. We came back in the mid afternoon to enjoy a beer on their patio. Great way to cap off a day in Banff.

I love this place. Great patio. Great staff. Great fresh baked goods. In house. Great view looking east onto Banff's iconic central street which is lined with flowers. Across the street is the main green space in town; the sports field of Banff's only high school. And in front of the school is the main terminal for ROAM regional transit. And across the street in front of the Safeway grocery store is the transit stop for ON IT bus service to Calgary. So Banff Good Earth Cafe is a hub for tourists and locals alike. We were looking for a coffee and snack after a hike at Johnson Canyon and this place was perfect. I got a latte and my husband got an Americano and we each got a muffin.
