Overpriced food for very average meals. This was the first time experiencing very BLATANT RACISM by the waiter. The restaurant was quite empty when my dad and I dined there for dinner. There were only 4 other tables with people and 2 waiters. The waiter took our order and seemed annoyed we didn't want to order alcohol. He didn't bother to check up on our food to see how it was until we finished eating. It didn't bother me that much until I saw him serve dessert to the couple across from us and then come by 5 minutes later to check up on them. Their table was 6ft beside ours and he didn't bother turning around and checking up on us. He never even came by to fill our water. I would usually just say the service is bad overall but I watched him check up on all the other tables except for ours. This was RACISM and DISCRIMINATION. We were the only visible minorities in the restaurant (even though I am Canadian). Very disgusted by this treatment.

Nice place, nice service. They had a good selection of fresh baked good and refrigerated good to eat. My partner had a cold coffee beverage that she enjoyed.

Relaxed and quiet spot for coffee with free refills on drip coffee. Had a brie grilled cheese and two deer walked by while we were chilling. Dog friendly spot.

Buffalo Mountain Café is the pinnacle of the café experience. As someone coming from Europe, it's most difficult to find a place to go to that matches and exceeds the quality you might find in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. This place does it all. Freshly baked goods which are homemade every morning, wonderfully delightful staff and freshly made sweets, meats, sandwiches, coffees and much more. The place also stays amazingly clean and offers one of the most exceptional experiences in the Rocky Mountains.

Nice cozy place - quite location very relaxed. Friendly staff with attentive service. Good coffee and a number of prepared snacks to choose from plus some more substantial meals in the fridge you can take away

A fine restaurant with great decor and vibe. Rustic mountain crossed with clean modern design. A lengthy list of cocktails and beers, although the wine list was limited. The menu is smaller as well, but entrée, appetizer and dessert all tasted delicious. The service was a little slow and inconsistent at times, but friendly and decent overall. Can’t go wrong with visiting The Prow!

This restaurant is located inside a lodge/inn that’s away from the main streets of Banff. As a result, the dining room is nice and quiet if you’re looking for a less hectic dinner experience - great for dates. The menu features some game meat and bison, which seems to be common at many other restaurants in the area. We ordered their charcuterie board which had a nice selection of various meats; although my boyfriends favourite part was the mustard melon it came with! We shared a gnocchi (average) and a bison duo (steak was great while the short rib was a bit dry, sweet potato mash also tasted artificially sweet) as well which were good, but nothing mind-blowing. Overall, solid meal but for the price you pay (it’s not cheap), I would have expected the food to be a bit more contemporary or unique.

My wife and I were there for dinner celebrating our 15th anniversary! The reservation process was easy and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful. Attentive and talkative and yet still allowed us to enjoy the evening. While they are renovated the main dining room, the restaurant has moved to the “convention” side. That changed nothing for us. The food and drinks were amazing. We drank Park Caesars and Wildlife Mules. Delicious and made with local craft liquor. We started with the charcuterie board. It was so good. Then our entrees arrived. My wife had the bison burger with homemade tomato soup. I had the chicken flatbread sandwich. All were delicious. And to top it off, when the staff realized it was our anniversary, the chef offered us dessert on the house. So we enjoyed apple pie a la mode. Our experience overall was superb. If you’re looking for a special place to spend hard earned money, you will not be disappointed or dissatisfied with Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Thank you to all who served us.

Having left banff downtown to do the hoodoo hike on an empty stomach, finding this cafe on my way back was a godsend! The toasted breakfast muffin was excellent, and many thanks to the helpful waitress who put me back on track to get to my hotel!

Kind staff & lovely seating area out front.

Beautiful place and super nice employees. Went for breakfast and it was decent food. I had the mushroom omelette which was kind of plain but I should of added condiments. Boyfriend got the egg scramble and he said it was nothing special. Still a nice place

Went here for lunch today for the first time. Our server was great. I had the grilled bison pastrami sandwich and the other person had the artisan salad. I was happy with my meal but the artisan salad was pretty much just lettuce. There was a very, very small amount of cheese, fruit and cashews. For the price, you would expect there to be a lot more.

Really enjoyed our dinner at The Prow! The vibe was great (relaxing), the food, drinks and service were all excellent. The staff were all super friendly. My wife and I shared 4 of the small/share plates, each of them were a good size and it was plenty of food overall. Our server suggested the cheesecake for dessert and it truly was one of the best I’ve had. Would definitely recommend The Prow!!

Super cozy small place with great coffee and bites. Also sells homemade frozen meals.

Beautiful new restaurant in Banff! Highly highly recommend for a delicious dinner out

Went out for an anniversary dinner today. We both ordered soup and a main. It was cream of mushroom and chicken with wild rice and veggies. When the soup came, IT WAS HUGE! We had to get them to box the entrees because we were both full! If your ever in Banff for supper go to the Sleeping Buffalo in the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Best soup I’ve ever had!!!

Such a nice place... However, the burger was just ok... I mean, you have this beautiful place but the burger was just plain.

Was nice to find a restaurant and bar up on Tunnel Mountain. We stopped in after a hike, and brought our dog along, so the pet-friendly patio was great. Enjoyed the cold beer, a couple unique cocktails, and shared some of the smaller dishes. Mains looked great, but will try next time. Staff, music, food, drinks, atmosphere, decor, and selection were all a welcome surprise. Look forward to returning.

First time eating at the Sleeping Buffalo and we were more than satisfied with our dinner and breakfast. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection with appropriate portion sizes and prices that we considered reasonable for food quality and experience. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We ordered room service on our stay here. The steak was cooked nicely medium rare as ordered, the onion mushroom jus or sauce was clearly and tasted burnt and there was a thick oil rim that was around the jus but the veggies had a good snap to them, the tasting chacut was a great idea with bison, elk duck but it tasted dry and was clearly pre prepared the bison page had one dry side where it has been sitting out or pre cut sane with the dessert the molton lava cake did not lose out but was cool in the centre the amaretto ice cream was delicious and the rye toast that came with the tasting plate was soggy great idea of a tasting plate but poor execution would have been better if it was made to order as the pre cut cured meats tasted dry.

We ordered breakfast on Dec. 26th and it was absolutely fantastic!! The food was delicious and the gentleman who delivered it was so sweet & friendly! They even included cream for our coffee! Free delivery within the town of Banff was also so appreciated! Thank you for making the Christmas holiday even more special & enjoyable!!
