Very nice beavertails. Must go when in banff
A fun food for the family. One beaver tail is quite large, so I suggest splitting them with a friend. Most are sugary with lots of cream. Excellent pancake-like dough. For those that don't know, a beaver tail is thicker than pancake dough shaped like a beaver's tail with fun toppings.
Always love getting these tasty treats when in the area!
If your a tourist visiting Banff - have yourself a Beaver Tail. A unconventional but delicious treat
Best desert in Banff
great warm pastries for cold nights in Banff
Overall - DO NOT IGNORE THIS PLACE. This place has delicious food and drinks. There are two locations on both sides of the streets. Take your pick. We enjoyed their service and hospitality. Good - They have pastries and drinks. We tried and instantly got hooked on their hot chocolate. They also have hot and cold dessert options and snacks like Poutine (for non-Canadians it is french fries topped with a light brown gravy-like sauce and cheese curds), also a must try. Bad - The only downside of anything on the village street is that parking is an issue if you just want to grab-n-go. I do recommend that you park and walk around the village. It is gorgeous out there. Tips - Get hot chocolate with milk is phenomenal
nice location,can keep children quite.
Was really happy to find Beaver Tails in Banff. It was the first time for my husband to eat a chocolate banana Beaver Tail! It was fresh and delicious as always
Delicious! It's quite a small store with no seating or really waiting room. The beavertails are so good and there's so many different ones to try!
Great quick tasty snacks. Not health food.
This is a delicious dessert however i would recommend sharing with someone especially if you get the Oreo ,would have enjoyed this more if instead of icing there was whipped cream.
Great dessert shop located in center banff. Ice cream and frozen yogurt are tasty. Don't forget to try beavertail.
Delicious warm gooey excellence. Vegan options available.
If you want something SUPER SWEET, have a beavertail! What is a beavertail? Take some sweet dough (not pancake batter), roll into a ball and flatten into the shape of a beaver's tail. (if you pay attention you can observe this process after you order) Throw the flattened dough into a vat of hot oil and deep fry. Beavertails deep fries each tail when you order, no premade tails, at least they did when we ordered ours. Pick your toppings (chocolate and banana was good, oreo cookie crumbs and vanilla also good) and pay the money and receive your beavertail. Your hands will get sticky, your face will get sticky, there is a good possibility that you will drop sticky toppings on your clothes while eating. Don't eat your tail in your car or you will have a sticky car. It was better than malasadas.... (from Hawaii) It was good in winter and probably would be good in summer too. Just remember, it's super sugary.
Omg ,beaver tails is so delicious and can't wait to go back again for more. I love it ????????????
It's basically tradition to stop in for a Beavertail any time we're back in Banff. They're always made fresh so they come out hot and crispy. All the flavours are really good, some of them might be a little sweet in my opinion, but I can never go wrong with the Classic or the Kililoe Sunrise (classic with some lemon juice sprinkled on top!) We always come here and then go for an ice cream at Moo's just a couple shops down, although they also serve gelato at Beavertail's, the vanilla gelato also makes for a good combination with the classic!
Absolutely love the Bananarama here. It’s honestly my go-to flavour. The icecreams however, were not that great. Friendly staff and service.
Such a yummy treat!!
Beaver tails are so nice, great service and selection. Shame we won't be going to Banff for the foreseeable as the town council decided to trample on their employees medical freedoms.
My daughter loved it. Fresh and warm, but it’s too sweet for me. Very pleasant staff and service. The location is clean but too small for seating area. The seating area is outside the shop but it’s only two tables.
Cinnamon deliciousness. They have a ton of options but we went with the classic for our first try.
If you're looking for a delicious and very unhealthy snack give this a try. I really enjoyed the classic cinnamon and sugar beaver tail.
Delicious food, and adequate customer service
The sweet dessert you definitely must try while you are at Banff town. Be careful of the dripping sticky sweets.
Both locations in Banff are great, albeit very, very busy. Be prepared to wait. Treats are delicious and portions are a good size. Worth a visit if you have a sweet tooth.
I had the Obamatail (for Pres Obama) a couple of years ago. It was the best. So sad they don't offer it anymore. The cashier was a nice guy.
Classic Banff treat. A sweet snack for wandering this fairytale town.
Always delicious! A must stop when going to Banff with the family!
These was to my opinion sickly sweet but very good and had a few vegan options, the staff was nice and the price was good, nice thing to try once but no more than that..
YUM! I tried the strawberry cheesecake and it was delish! Not too much sweet, just the right amount. I REALLY appreciate how the staff were on top of maintaining a safe capacity during covid as well.
Great food
They have magic in their hands! The classic cinnamon flat donut is the best! ????
Nice little dessert shop in downtown banff. There ice cream is very creamy and sweet. Hits the spot. Also you can try their subreddit m signature desserts.
Fried flatbread like desserts topped with fruit, chocolate spread, or candy flavors. Fried and made while you stand in line. Definitely a unique dessert! The breads are pretty large - our family split one.
超like
SOOOO, good!
If I could rate this place negative stars I would. There was a couple in there with their child, and then my family and I walked in and we walked SORT OF PAST THE REGISTER so we DIDNT OBSTRUCT the ENTRANCE, and we waited about 10 minutes, meanwhile there is still only that couple and CHILD, us (4 people) and then by this point another family walked in BEHIND US, And we were looking at the menu and the girl who worked there walked past ALL OF MY FAMILY ( 4 PEOPLE) and started to HELP THE PEOPLE BEHIND US. Totally disregarded us. And then proceeded to say that we had to be by the register (WHICH WE WERE BECAUSE THERE WERE 4 PEOPLE) in order, to order. WILL NEVER come to this place again. Most SLOW, disrespectful staff.
Mmmmm. Everytime were in banff we have to get a beaver tail. Soo good.
I love going there food is awesome
I so love beavertails. The time we arrived Banff we headed to this place right away. As usual, cravings sold. But i did get an unexpected experience. I ordered 7 beavertails, 4 with half and half flavors (this is a good option to be able to taste more flavors) and 3 with single flavor. We were three that time and my friend was holding 2 cups on his hand.. I requested for a box (they usually have boxes for large orders) but unfortunately they dont have. No bag as well and it was snowing heavily outside (Feb 5, 2021; 3:27PM). So with that we have to carry the 7 pastries outside, wit no cover, box or bag. So we ended up asking my husband to pick us up since there is no parking in front of the store. To be able to call, my friend put down the pastries and took her from the pocket. The cashier (she was alone) told us we cant eat inside. I told her we are not eating.. please give us 1 minute to be able to call so we can quickly leave. She told us we have to leave as there was 1 customer outside who wanted to buy. I told her we will leave quickly after the call. We just cant hold the pastries on our hands and at the same time calling. So we ended up going outside holding the pastries one over the other in the heavy snow. She was just so rude that time.. the call did not even took 1 minute... and ask us to quickly leave the store even if were still trying to figure out how are going to take the pastries to our hotel. I hope she don't do the same to other customers.
Whenever we're in Banff, it's a must.. Family's fave are bananarama and poutine...
Very small location, but the kids love it here, so we always pop in.
The store was kind of small and people and it was crowded almost every time which was find because it happens to all the famous stores. It will be a lot better if they could have a sign or something to indicate where the order line starts because all the customers were confused where the line up starts. Once we ordered and paid, we went to the counter where other 2 staff are making the beaver tails. That's when we realized why there's always long line up. The two staff were just taking their time, they were singing, talking and REALLY taking their time, but didn't acknowledge the customers in front of them. Liked the food there, but didn't appreciate the service...
The pastry here is ultra yummy. So much sugar and cinnamon to last forever
This was my first time trying Beaver Tails and I didn't think that it was worth the hype, unless you are really into sweet stuff. I'd have another one but I'd rather have it plain.
Can never go wrong with beaver tails!
Delicious but the cost for a piece of fried bread is high although they put more than enough toppings on for two.
worth stopping in at as long as it's not too busy.
Bad experience with staff today at Banff location. Staff didn’t get our order right, we explained it a few times and wasn’t enough, then she wanted to charge us more when she didn’t get the order right at first time. Then when we were leaving the place I heard her saying “idiot” so rude!!! Bad experience, not coming back again.
Was glad we stopped, the beavertails did not disappoint my favorite is the Nutella and banana and also the maple but I would ask for less chocolate on the maple one next time. The prices are reasonable but the store is very small and not set up very well, I believe there is a second location in Banff but I have not been to it so I am not sure if it is bigger.
Perfect treat after a long hike ❤️
Skor flavour did the good taste for me. The Reese one is very good as well.
Awesome spot if you have a sweet tooth. It was a little much for me. I had the reeses pieces beaver tail and it dint disappoint!
A must have for first-timers in Banff. It was really good. It was really busy and this place will likely transmit COVID cause everyone packs into a small space. They need to adopt their point of sale process and create a "new normal".
Super yummy treat! You might want to bring your hiking shoes with you and plan on walking for the next 10 years to burn the calories off from eating one, but so worth it!
Classic treat. Good service at this location but they were out of several items.
Canadian classic!
A must have definitely.
This was my second visit to BeaverTails while in Banff. I got the Killaloe Sunrise, the flavour was good, the dough was not hot and fresh compared to the other location down the street that I had the previous day.
A1! Had the cheesecake skor! A sweet, delicious treat !
Way better then the west one, customer service wise. Decent tasting, my kids had the chocolate and I had the original. A tad over cooked for my liking, but my kids loved it that way. Each to their own.
A must to in Banff - hence there is always a queue, but it's totally worth it. A naughty treat (personally one is too much to me, so we shared) but have so may options I could have chosen! Picture is of the BroWOWnie.
Yummy in a nice winters eve!!
Way better then the west. The workers make the treats really quickly and are careful about covid. It was definitely worth it
Really Nice calorie bombs :p
Great food. Fantastic staff
I mean the shop is nice and all, just not a huge fan of beaver tails. It was extremely greasy and way too sweet. Couldn't finish them. Staff was great though
Neat little novelty. Something to try a couple times. Had the triple treat...very sweet!!????
Really friendly nice pastry shop. We ordered 3 and loved all the different varieties. It was a great desert!! So delicious!
Try the one with apples, that's my favourite
Very delicious classic of canada love the food, makes a good treat every once in a while.
What can i say that hasn’t been said already? Just come and try one. Its a classic canadian sweet snack or dessert. I love the classic one but recently i tried the one with a lemon and its my newest favourite!
The store was small. . .the food was delicious!
This is actually a Greek food restaurant... Excellent food and friendly helpful staff.. especially Pablo
Line up was extremely long. Ok dessert though.
Hot and delicious! Tasty too!
Awesome treat right on main street
A taste of Ottawa right here in Alberta! Delicious flavours: cinnamon & sugar, chocolate hazelnut, maple, apple cinnamon, skor cheesecake, peanut butter & Reese, cookies and vanilla icing, banana chocolate, and finally cinnamon sugar and lemon. Missing some delicious savory flavours like cheese and garlic but I won't ding them for that.
A must stop for me when we go to Banff. Prepare for all your daily calories to disappear into the delicious flat fry bread covered in sugary goodness.
Not a bad treat. Many different topping options. Oil seemed a bit old. Service was fast and friendly. Tried the Nutella banana which surprisingly was not sickeningly sweet. Also had the cinnamon sugar/lemon. Lemon helped to cut the sweetness.
Best place for Ice Cream and snacks in Banff
Perfect taste with perfect location
Delicious. Quite a nice treat. They sell more than pastries. You need to visit their website or for that matter, just go.
Cinnamon & Sugar is my favorite. And nutella and.......
Really good foods.
Always fresh! The server gladly fixed my very very strong Cappuccino, great fast customer service!
Probably the less toppings, the nicer and lighter it is
Highly recommend!!
The caucasian girl who works in the kitchen use the same gloves to played with her phone, mopped the floor and make the doughs. After I told her she should changed her gloves after touching the mop, she gave me a dirty look than she skip my order did the next three customer’s orders. When I asked for my order, she said she didn’t see it, and the Asian girl did my order for me. Unbelievable.
Canada's unique desserts. My favorite is cinnamon. A bit pricey.
Snacks here are very tasty! A must try for anyone visiting Banff
Loved the place, BeaverTails are the best thing to ever happen to me <3
The location of the store is great but its to tight inside. The service is good and the food is ok compared to other Beavertail stores.
I highly recommend going here. I love it.
Had the poutine and beavertail with maple. My first time trying a beavertail and it was oily, sweet sticky and messy but oh so good. What do you expect when you're ordering this? The poutine was also good, gravy and cheesy spread throughout the fries. Definitely worth a try!
A known staple for the area, you have to get a BeaverTail if you are in Banff! We tried the Nutella one and it was delicious. They are lightly fried and great to warm you up and fix any sweet tooth. Highly recommend.
I live in Calgary. Whenever I go to Banff, I stop by here and have a special experience. I think I've been there more than 10 times already. Thank you for providing us with delicious and high quality food every time we go. Thank you so much.
Had my first Beavertail today. It was delicious! The staff were very friendly, but the store is very tiny and quite busy so it was pretty cramped. But I'll definitely be back for another Beavertail soon!
A combination of crunchy dough with the chocolate hazelnut sauce makes this the perfect snack or dessert.
Great food and even better customer service :) covid safe policies in place to keep all customers safe.. There's always a line, and there's a reason why.. I like the Killaloe Sunrise.. Little bit sweet and little bit sour.. Today I tried the Raspberry sorbet and it's really good as well..
classic ski chalet snack
The gelato is on point. Better than frozen yogurt in my opinion. I tried poutine for the first time as well. It's not bad at all. Definitely make a stop here if you come to Banff.
Introverted staff, but delicious fresh Beaver tails. I reccomended the skor cheesecake. Open late, even on Sundays
Sweet on fried pastry the wisest combination of two kinds of comfort food. The food is tasty, the staffs are friendly and the store is clean and neat. You’ve gotta try this when you visit Banff. It’s better to share the calories with someone else. Otherwise it would make u feel so guilty and satisfied after you finished it all in a sec!
My gosh. The best fried dough you'll eat. Only get the classic if its your first time. It's gonna make you fall in love. Its gonna make you come back to banff every year... just for these beaver tails. Lol. I'm addicted.
Grat place for a tasty treat. There hot chocolate was good too.
I went in winter so they had no gelato, but the classic beavertail was still really satisfying.
Tasty treat after a hike. Staff are friendly. No complaints
Great dessert and very filling. We came early and there wasn't many people. I would hate to have to wait for a rush as the were all made fresh which was great but I imagine being so good the lines could get crazy!
One of a kind desert.
Classic is always good with lemon
Delicious icecream and fried dough shaped like a beaver tail with various topping choices. the staff aren't always the friendliest and the store is a bit small with more of a wait but I loved it!
Soooo good. Not sure what else to say. Crazy delicious
Very poor experience. Any time my boyfriend has gotten a dessert, he loved it and I always wanted to try a poutine from there. Let me save you the trouble and just don't. It was absolutely disgusting. For $8 they hand you this little box, open without a to go bag or anything. She even asked me if I wanted it to go, and when I asked the man for a to go bag he even looked disappointed and said "I know sorry we dont have any". I had to close the box myself which wasnt fun because it was messy. The way it was made, the fries were made then cheese curds and gravy put on and then in was all microwaved in the cardboard box. The cheese was all melted together with cardboard in it..... and the cheese that wasn't, had no taste and was like hard rubber.... it was the worst poutine or service I've ever had. The owner knows that with 2 stores there is no inside area to sit in... and they can't even close the poutine box or give a bag for when you are in the freezing cold walking to where you can eat it..... then I paid 5.50 for 2 cans of coke. Honestly unless you are getting dessert, don't bother.
In case you need a little sugar rush. This is the perfect place to have your sucre fix. The flat breads are so sinfully delicious. First, they fry it in oil, then spreads a handful amount of jam or spread, then sprinkled it with another kilos of sugar. Not really healthy for a diabetic & dieting person specially for its large proportion but a golden gem for every sweet tooth. Hope they can offer it in small & less guilty sizes.
They are good but kind of different than the original ones in Quebec, this where more crispy and smaller and the chocolate didn't have marshmallows. Besides there's not space to sit but still I think is a most if you like sweet things. *Grab some napkins, because of the oil and your hands haha. Also a lot of people don't know what they are so they should be more patient for people know what they want to order.
A 3.5-low 4. Rating was based on service seemed a tad messy and slow (bunch of folks all waiting outside with their orders submitted to having an employee come out as we all look to her and hope we all remember who ordered before us in line). The pastry itself is good - deep fried pastry dough (rather think dough and more on the crispy side) with a lot of loaded toppings of your choice. The cost of a beavertail ranges from $6.25-$8.25 dependent on choice. There is also oddly enough, ice cream and poutine options at this location. For those visiting, don't get me wrong, it's worth trying. For those who grew up with beavertails around, it was ok but I've had some with more dough than a thin crisp of a beavertail. The service could be improved as well. No eating spot inside. It's a order, wait and eat elsewhere type of place.
Very tasty food
Oh my goodness yum
Visited Sept 7 around 9pm. Had the Triple Trip and it was a good and super messy indulgence of calories. Watched from just outside as 3 people were already in the store waiting for their order, none of which were wearing masks. As this is now a Banff bylaw maybe Beaver Tails should refuse service as they have this requirement posted all over their front window. After waiting for 5 mins or so outside while these maskless lawbreakers waited inside for their order i was eventually able to enter with my partner and place an order. Even though we were both wearing masks and the only ones in the store I was then asked to wait outside while they prepared my order. Does this make any sense Beaver Tails???
Pretty good desert. Full of sugar and very sweet, however at the same time very tasty. This is a great desert to try, because there are a number of varieties of it. BeaverTails can be busy, so order your desert before or after the "peak time."
Nice traditional canadian pastry place - but Beaver Tails are sooo sweet!
Always so delish. Well worth the drive from Calgary! However there is not much space to sit.
It's a small place so it can be quite crowded and hard to line up, but the staff is friendly and the food is very tasty. A fun experience to have in Banff!
Scor is the best beaver tail ???????? enjoyed mine today in Banff! Never a disappointment!
Tasty treat and friendly staff. Worth the visit.
Food was good but sevice was slow.
Theyre so good and fresh but not open at 11am, we end up getting Mcdonalds due to the store is still closed.
Love the sweets but not the long wait
Loved it!
Great place for dessert. Several kinds of pastries are very tasty.
Awesome dessert for tourists and visitors to Banff! It's a traditional Canadian food item based on fried dough, but you can get a whole variety of flavors and toppings. Italy has Gelato, Canada has Beavertails. If you're in Banff, it's a most-have and it will be the highlight of your trip.
A staple of Canadian desserts. Can be a very busy place but you can't go wrong with the delicious kilaloe sunrise.
when in banff ???????????? favourite flavour: avalanche ????
Delicious food & good customer service.
So delicious! My favorite is the classic cinnamon sugar, but so many great options to choose from!
Delicious! A kind of fried doughnut with many choices of toppings.
Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I highly recommend going here, it'll change your life
Freshly made and lots of fun to eat
Must stop for us in Banff! Boy are them beavertails good!
Always popular with tourists and locals alike. An excellent place for desert and locate at the heart of Banff Ave.
Yummy. Excellent product. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The kilaloa sunrise is magnificent with lemon juice. Will definitely go back more times
O.M.G. SOOO AWESOME !!!
Always a good treat to share!
Great Canadian dessert!
I initially said I wouldn't eat this stuff, then ended up having 2 different ones in 2 different places, on the same avenue. Epic fail for me. They're really really good.
Great sweets. Good service.
Great location and delicious sugary treats, which are heavenly whilst enjoying the landscape. I would recommend anything off the menu. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Great snacks! The nutella and banana is my favorite!
Delicious and fresh. Too bad they couldn't prep the tails a touch faster by looking ahead on the tickets.
Be ready for the calories! Great sweets
Glad I tried it, but won't be going back. Basically seemed like a donut, made more unhealthy.
Very yummy treat. On weekends it gets busy though. During my last visit I saw that the line was fairly long. But I decided to get into the line & eat my favourite treat. Being from India, I love sweets. When I was watching over the staff I realized that this was pretty simple thing to make. In India we make Bhaturas (fried long bread made out of all purpose flour). This was the exact same thing but with different sweet toppings on it. Whatsoever, I love it every time I eat it.
A rather small food bar between lots of gift shops. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The assortment consists of a lot of flavors to put on pancake kind of food as well as ice. I liked the combination of it. Worth the visit and sure stands out compared to others.
Service was fast and the poutine (and beaver tails) are delicious! There is nowhere to sit inside though.
food is great but need to train thier employee better as they don’t know how to take your order and we ended paying more than what we wanted. rather than they work something out they rather insist that it’s your fault even thou their employee who take order don’t really know the menu.
Happy to find non-dairy sorbet options
We ended up here twice in one day! All the flavours look amazing. We opted for the brownie version first which was unreal! Except, I do wish the brownie pieces were actually a little chewy they sort of just melt away in your mouth. But, still produces amazing flavour. We then returned to try the apple pie version, with salted caramel ice cream. The flavour and toppings were spot on, and I really enjoyed this one. Will probably be back 7 or 8 more times over the coming days haha. Get yourself a beaver tail! I noticed another reviewer mention a flight of beaver tails, and I actually had said the same thing ! Highly suggest this addition
Very friendly staff. I tried the poutine and it was great. A large amount of great tasting poutine for just $10.
Oh my goodness. So good.
Great Management !!!
Beavertails are made to order so it was a bit if a wait. Was surprised by this as there was a line up the door. They can only make 3 to four at a time.
It was my first time and it was sooo good
Overly sweet as they top it up with not just one but multiple sweet toppings. Extra sugary icing on the chocolate was a bit too much for myself but ey, what do you come here for..Overall it's pretty good dessert
Popular place to go to. A small place almost hidden but seen right away with the sign. Can get crowded if Banff is busy. A lot of selections to choose from. The warm and crunchiness of the pastry and sweetness of the toppings go so well. Only thing is that I had built myself up so much. It didn't meet what everyone is talking about. It is good and it's a must try. But that's my own opinion.
Terrific, a must have go while in Banff!
I went there today looking forward to getting the No. 8 (bananas & chocolate) with gummy bears on top like I've had in the past and they wouldn't let me get gummy bears on it. They said it's only for the ice cream. So disappointing.
A must stop for a sugar influx treat. PROTIP: if you are like me and you couldn’t come up with what flavour you wanted to try - you can get half and half! The two I personally ordered was: Avalanche and Pecan Pie Lucky charms and Brwownie I would for-sure get the avalanche and pecan pie again! It was delicious, super sugary, but a decent balance. Flavours were good and service was quick. I wouldn’t however get lucky charms or brwownie again. First of all, chocolate not be my favourite so take this one with a grain of salt. ???? The cereal felt like a weird texture thing for me and it’s finished off with a glittery orange syrup. I feel like kids would love this one but it was too sweet for me! The service was fantastic and the place was clean!
Nice dessert, kind server :) ❣
Waited over 45 mins. But worth every minute. I had the nutella crepe, it was delicious.
Oh my goodness love it
God bless the person who invented poutine
Soooooo good ????
great taste, new experience, must try
Good ice cream. A bit pricey though.
Fried dough. Lots of toppings. I wish you had a flight of beaver tails so you could try flavours of 4 minis ones that would be great. Very good though.
Stumbled across this place, food is fantastic!
Great place to get diabetes.great flavours .
Service was awesome as was beavertail
I got yelled out of the store by Rebecca for tasting too many ("2") flavors. Never going back to this or any other Beavertail again.
Love to stop in for a snack! As authentically Canadian as Tim Hortons!
great tasting!
Taste is awesome, but service was pretty slow. I ordered strawberry kiwi shake but i got banana kiwi with lead popped.
If you're ever in Banff,I highly recommend you check out Beavertails! This is probably one of the most famous sweet place the town has to offer. There's a variety of flavors to choose from and everything is made fresh right in front of you.I was in town the other day at their east location which is close to Macdonald and a nice lady by the name of Sharon served me.She was very friendly and I appreciate how she asked how my day was going and cut 2 slices of Beavertails in different bags when she noticed that my husband and I going to share one Beavertails. It's refreshing to receive such a high quality of customer service!
Very quick in and out. Friendly staff.
The name is super deceiving as they do not actually serve deep-fried beavertails.
I was so excited to come here and disappointed when I left my poutine was ice cold and when I took it back in they said it was because the cheese was in the fridge ???? How is gravy and fries ice cold cause cheese is in fridge ??? As well forgot to give us other poutine as we ordered 2. when I questioned them at first they said it was only one poutine we ordered then almost gave us poutintail which isn’t what we ordered!! the store was not busy we were the only customers there so quite confused how an order could be so messed up when it’s not busy .... the beaver tails were amazing I wanted so bad to love this place but wouldn’t order poutine again from them and for the price u pay it’s sad the poutine was not remade it was just thrown back in the oven!
BeaverTail Banff east location is smaller compared to the west location however the line isn't as long here. We had gotten 2 different types of BeaverTail pastries and ice cream and they were all delicious. It can get messy to eat but that's the beauty of enjoying yummy treats.
Literally the best pastry you'll ever eat
Exquisite, I wish there was a branch in Calgary
Skor Cheesecake say no more, I’m glad we stopped.
Way tooo sweet. If you need to spike (and by a lot) your sugar or are trying to get diabetes, go here.
Always have to stop here once per visit. It never disappoints.
Wish I could give more than five stars!! Was out for vacation and visited this location. a younger blonde girl served me, she was super friendly and very helpful in describing menu items. she was talkative but not overly, i would definitely visit this location again based on her customer service alone.
It was ok.. nothing special rather much of a hype I would say. We got a chocolate banana which was basically Nutella smeared on a dough with bananas for $7 and mocha for $4.20 for an extra small cup. Staff was nice but price wise it’s not worth it.
Trip to Banff isn't complete without a beavertail.
The trip to Banff isn't complete unless we have the Canadian savoury snack, Beaver Tails. It is fried dough pastry with various toppings. The traditional cinnamon sugar is my go-to. I think practically almost any fried dough with sugary topping is a winner.
Crispy and sweet. Nutella and banana. Nice combination. Just that too sweet for my taste.
Simply horrible ice cream. So not worth the $4 (with tax) price. Better to wait and eat at the yellow bus ice cream in Canmore.
Yummy desert. Kids are always excoted to go. Its now a staple item we much after dinner and a walk.
Really like its hot chocolate.....
Deep fried dough with Apple and cinnamon. You can't lose. This place is totally awesome. You must try it if you're ever in this area of Banff.????????????
It has become a tradition among my wife and I to get a beavertail every time we visit or even just pass thru Banff.
This location rocks. My gf and I visited both Banff locations and the Jasper one and this place does it right. The classic was perfect. The Jasper location under cooks theirs, uncooked dough is not cool. Nice job guys! We'll be back on our next visit!
Love this place. Staffs are always friendly and fried well. Just perfect!!!
Price was fair. Food was amazing. I had an oreo beaver tail and the group i was with had skor and peanut butter ones. Everyone enjoyed it. They come out hot because they are freshly prepared. I thought it was pretty cool and nice looking. I instagramed a picture of it saying "this was incredible" and beaver tails liked and commented on the photo "no YOU'RE incredible" which i thought was pretty cute.
Food yummy. ..service r-e-a-l-l-y slow.
Good sugar station, amd one of the only representative foods of Canada, so a must try, the price is tourist standard but the system is a little slow
Staff not interested in working .3 staff members only 1 girl helping customers. Had to ask the 2 others if they could help service
The frozen gelato was delicious. I have not found frozen gelato anywhere else. I wish I could remember the brand name of it, but cannot. Yes, it did taste better than frozen yogurt.
Reply to the owner: It was the beavertails on the same side of the tackshop (just a few shops down from the tack shop-Trail riders) Original review: The BeaverTails were good but the service was not. My kid brother lined up 15mins before they opened. Once opened, they told us smoothies and beaver Sundays were sold out....in the morning. The smoothies were just sitting in the windowed freezer so I don't believe anything was sold out. They just didn't want to make them... The two guys ushered everyone into the store and talked to everyone like dogs. Not a single smile.
If your from the states don't shop here they steal extra money from Americans who use American money no exchange rate. Major rip off they charge Canadians $6.62 and Americans $8.46.
You should ask Kaiden why this place got 1 star
Great comfort food but it's a turn off having crazy staff who doesn't know about restrictions. 2 weeks ago me and my partner tried the food here. In the morning we tried the west location and evening in this location. If ever you arw in Banff , WARNING !!! PLEASE DON'T COME TO THIS LOCATION AS YOU WILL JUST RUIN YOUR DAY ESP. IF YOU ARE IN VACATION. Staff will let you order - in person , but once you ordered , without hesitation THEY WILL SEND YOU OUT AND WAIT THERE IN THIS COLD WEATHER , BUSY OR NOT. Once you refuse , they will threaten you to call ???? the police . How crazy is that . All restaurants who is following the covid-19 restrictions will let you order in person and will not force you to wait outside. The fact that this restaurant does not have the dine in options, basically you will take your order once its done. BUT WORKERS ARE PLAYING IT SO WEIRD TRYING TO HIDE BY THE WALL BECAUSE I WAS TELLING HER I WILL ONLY LEAVE ONCE I GOT MY ORDERS BECAUSE I KNOW IT WILL ONLY TAKE MAYBE 4 MINS. If I were the owner, I will fire that worker ( cashier ). She does not have a pleasing attitude to begin with. She is a bi*ch . I've seen the reply of the owner from one review and in my case , mask ???? is not the issue as I am wearing even a double mask , and also a wearing a face cover as outside is really cold. The issue here is your staffs are overreacting and so are the owner. You are making your own restrictions basically as the restrictions you are posting inside your restaurant is NOT EVEN AHS restriction. I should know because I work for AHS.
Absolutely love this tastey treat. I have it every time I visit banff
Great treat when out and about.
Warm, sweet treat on a cold day!
