Quaint Cafe located in the Park behind the Post Office in Bancroft. Very popular for Lunch (outstanding quality) year round & has a take out counter in the Summer (that also rents canoes & paddle boats for use right there on the river). I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. I know I never am!...

I love this cute little spot! My grandkids played on the playground while I sipped a lovely cup of coffee on the cheerful little patio. I have been back for lunch twice and breakfast as well, and ate inside their beautiful little cafe. Delicious homemade food. Will be back next time I'm in Bancroft!

A Love ❤️ is baked into every cake Here. I’m not joking. It’s a game to find the heart amongst the pieces cut. A wonderful lady named Tracy manages this quaint “not for profit” cafe which raises funds for the Bancroft Community Transit organization; All the funds raised go towards helping this community stay active. They make getting to activities, easier for folks who would otherwise be isolated. Tracy and her team of 2 love to bake and make homemade soups. Many of their recipes are family recipes dating back 3 generations. In fact, the first cake, that Tracy baked for the cafe, came from her Grandmother’s cake pans and recipe. When Tracy was a wee girl, her Grand told her, one day she’d bake beautiful cakes for people and here she is! Heartwarming. Stop in and let yourself fall in love or give the Ladies at the cafe a call the day before to order a cake or donuts, for pick-up. Dining in, is also an option for lunch.

This cafe is truly unique. Not only does it have great homemade food, it supports a local not for profit organization, BCT; an organization that provides transportation to the community. A little side note, make sure to make a lunch reservation so you won't be disappointed!

What a lovely spot. Grassy, scenic area beside the river, playground for the kids if that’s your thing, great coffee, fresh and tasty lunches. Location note— it’s not the small plaza right beside the river, not the old train station which functions as the visitors’ centre.

Feagochi

Very homey little café, and the staff are all very nice. My friends and I go there at least 2ce a week for not chocolate and sweets, and they never disapoint.

We rented a canoe and went for a paddle on the York River and came back and had the best lunch ever, homemade potato soup and their Cuban ciabatta, awesome! Didn't have room for dessert, but I'll be back for sure! Well done! Staff amazing!

Amazing food and atmosphere! Got the beef and barley soup, a salad, a BLT, raisin butter tart, coffee and iced tea. Everything was delicious and as I sat in there, folks came in raving about the food and cheesecake. I'll be making this place a regular stop whenever I'm in Bancroft!

Love EVERYTHING about this place! Home made soup and desserts! Great staff! Definitely a place to visit in when you visit Bancroft! They are open weekdays only so plan for that, but well worth a weekday trip to town!! I will be back!

My wife and I ate breakfast here after a long backpacking trip in the woods. The atmosphere is warm, the service friendly, and the food is fresh and tasty. Definitely try their coffee, they brew a great cup. Would come back again and again if we lived in Bancroft.

This is an amazing local cafe. I get the sense it is more of a social enterprise than a for-profit business due to the short hours. The sandwiches are made of high quality ingredients and carefully prepared. The desserts are off the chart delicious.

Glenn Burkholder
