To us, their quick response time, professionalism, and flexibility to provide nut-free, vegan, and gluten-free cake varieties put them miles ahead of the competition. Second Slices was very accommodating with our design changes and advised us how we could best create consistent visual design with the differences in cake composition. Most importantly of all, they welcomed us into their home as friends. We were always treated warmly and professionally. COVID hit during the middle of our design and wedding planning, and although significant changes had to be made to follow health and safety guidelines, Second Slices met all these challenges with us. They even delivered the cake a day early due to complications with our choice of venue. Rosemary's cake design was impeccable, and the cake itself was both beautiful and delicious - both the nut-free and the vegan & gluten-free varieties. I've ordered cakes from Second Slices on 3 separate occasions and each time the finished product exceeded my expectations. We were blown away by how beautiful they were and by the visible amount of effort that had been put into them. Second Slices created 150 gorgeous cupcakes and a mini cake top for our wedding. The detailing was incredible and the passion fruit cupcakes were to die for!!!! OMG!!! Where do I start??? First off Geoff & Rosmari are amazing people!!! They have become great friends, amazing people!!!! These two make awesome delicious cake!!! Real ingrediants, real people, nothing about label. It was always about quality with these two. We had our wedding on July 2, 2011 for over 400+ guests. Geoff and Rosmari were able to accomadate our whole GIANT party. Delivered our cutting cake and over 300+ cupcakes, with different flavors, colours and decors and the stand to put it on was out this world. I still have guests to this day where in the world did I order my cake for the wedding because it was so DELISH! P.S. I have nothing but good things to say about Second slices Cakery (Rosmari & Geoff). After much research, my husband and i decided to go with them for our wedding cake. We brought them pictures of what we wanted and they were more than helpful in making sure our wish was granted. In fact, they even exceeded our expectations. They worked with us to stay within our budget which was a deal breaker for us. They even had options for us to have one tier dairy free since my husband cant eat dairy products. When we went for the cake tasting, they had about 7 different options for us to choose from and they were all so delicious!! The cake was delicious and not too sweet. Communicating with them was also very easy as they respond to emails quickly and wholeheartedly want to help their clients. I highly recommend them!

I ordered a cake very last minute. I gave a quick history and a photo. A masterpiece was created and was exactly what we wanted. Even my son 's project was replicated perfectly as a cake topper. Working tirelessly until 2a.m., and getting up at 8 a.m., to finish the cake was beyond our expectations. Not only did it look amazing, it was delicious. For the last 3 years, I've gotten a gluten free cake for my wife on her birthday from Second Slices. Each has been a complex design based on popular characters. Each time, the cake is amazing, the characters are accurate, and most important - it's delicious (you don't even know it's gluten free). Second Slices Cakery made the most amazing superhero birthday cake for my son's 3rd birthday in August. Not only was it a work of art, but it tasted delicious. It was light and moist, not too sweet--exactly what you want in a cake. I am not a fan of the taste of fondant typically, but it was all delicious. I asked them to make this on short notice, and I couldn't have been more impressed. I have tried many high end cake shops in the city, and this cake is my favourite. I will absolutely order from them again.

I'd had treats from here before and they were fine. But I'm honestly really concerned because of their twitter feed. This bakery is openly anti-science, anti-vax and flat Earth believers. As they are so blatantly anti-science, I would not trust them to safely handle any food. Take your business somewhere that actually uses logic and keep yourself safe.

I ordered my daughters birthday cakes with Second Slices every year and they did fantastic job. She is 3 years old and loved her cakes every year. The design and taste are amazing. I can say it is so healthier for kids than the other places. I love the part which I don't have to stick with their birthday album pics. Whatever theme I want, I just need to send the picture and Rosmari will make it for me. She is so talented and can make any cake which you want. It worth every penny.

We ordered a cake for one of our long standing employee's 65th birthday. He is an avid reader so we ordered a cake in the form of a vintage book. It was exactly what we asked for and so authentic. I would like recommend second slice for their quality, design, taste, creativity, easy to do business with and excellent customer service. I googled and contacted them requesting to get a two tier birthday cake done within 24 hours. I did not speak to anyone but simply on text and etransfer the cash. They were almost instant in their response to me and provided a product that was excellent. Due to Covid 19 most places were closed but the folks at Second Slice came through. From now on, second slice would be my go to place for all my pastry and cake needs.

Second slices of awesome!! I have them a tough idea of what I was hoping for the cake design and they created something far beyond my expectations! I along with everyone that attended the birthday party was in awe of the cake it was the main conversation point for a while lol. As dessert time came and guests started in on thier slice of cake all you could hear in the room were sounds and expressions of deliciousness and "omg so good!'s . Was a big hit and well well worth the money! My gf wanted to keep a memento from the cake and that special night so she kept a hard sugar sculpture from the cake. A few days later it had accidently got bumped off the shelf and had broken into multiple pieces. My gf was heart broken, so I reached out to second silices and they were able to remake the sculpture for me with no worries! Super nice people! Very talented people! Will be using them again in the future for other special events and occasions 100%

Before I dive into how delicious and beautiful my cake was, I want to sincerely thank Second Slices for being so accommodating so last minute. You were a total party saver! I ordered a different cake from someone else for my dad’s 60th birthday party and unfortunately I was expected something different and the colors just didn’t mesh well with the party scheme. I contacted Rosemary at 7:20 p.m. on December 30st requesting a cake for the very next evening on December 31st, that’s right New Years Eve! She accepted the challenge and I couldn’t be more grateful. I picked up the cake the next day at 5:00 p.m and it was beautiful! Honestly, it was more than I could have asked for on such short notice.
