A great small Bakery. The Vanilla Slices are the reason I keep going back! Recently picked up an Oreo Supreme cake that they happily set aside over the phone. Great customer service!

We saw this place coming into town and the lovely girls at the 'Birds of Prey Centre' confirmed it as a good place to stop. We had a great lunch, my club house was almost too stacked to eat (don't change that please it's a good thing) and the eating area was clean, a bit busy but service was fast.

The Coaldale Bakery has been serving the community of Coaldale since 1986, but people travel to it from much further distances to purchase their cakes, pastries, specialty breads, buns and other baked goods made fresh daily. What makes their bakery so special? They specialize in European style baked goods and Dutch imports, make wedding cakes, event cakes, and they use real whipping cream in their cakes and pastries! Not enough? Well did I mention it’s also a sit-down restaurant where you can have a quick breakfast, lunch or snack made with real home some ingredients they baked themselves?! Well they are :)! Oh yeah… they cater as well! This place is always fairly business and has a good share of regular patrons. On my most recent visit I had a turkey wrap with all the fixings and a piece of Oreo cake on the side. They also have a mini-fridge with various drink choices, most are conventional, but there are some unique ones as well like the blackcurrant iced tea I chose. The staff were very quick and efficient, as well as polite. The girl who made our sandwiches and wraps didn’t it in record time while keeping presentation intact, she legit made Subway look slow and inefficient! The wrap was awesome, the ingredients were all very fresh and the Dijon mustard gave it a good kick! The blackcurrant iced tea was also a nice treat over the normal beverage choices. Lastly the Oreo cake was good but not great, it was quite light, fluffy and definitely tasty, but didn’t have quite enough of the usual Oreo flavours I’m used to and expected. Very solid experience, I’d definitely go again for a fast, fresh home style meal!

The baked goods are absolutely amazing. Prices are decent too! Their bread is good but goes bad in a couple days due to lack of preservatives so my sugestion would be to freeze half the loaf.

Can you say scrumdiddlyumptious? Me neither. But seriously my sandwich was amazing.The bread was fresh and the amount of toppings on it was great. Wasn't overly crazy about the lemon pastry I was given with my soup and sandwich combo but that is because it had maraschino cherries in it and I'm not really a fan. Soup was your standard beef and veggie soup. Pretty hard to mess that up in my opinion. Had a good chat with one of the servers. Friendly staff makes me happy. Thank you coaldale bakery for a solid lunch.

The bakery is absolutely amazing, literally once my friend suggested to try the soup and sandwich I’ll never go anywhere else for one of my favourite comfort foods . Can’t say enough about the soup of the day I’ve had about 4/5 different kinds so far but the bacon potato soup is ridiculously delicious!!! If you come here hopefully you have a chance to try the pastry’s the mini banana cream pie’s are SOOOOOO!!!! Good an absolute must if they have them

This is a fabulous family run bakery. A few of the things I love most are the special order cakes (Almond Poppyseed, German Chocolate, or Skor), TBLT sandwich, fresh blueberry fritters. I’m drooling just thinking about my next excuse to visit.

What a hidden gem this place is! We were on our transcanada trip and stumbled upon this little bakery. OMG, the food is soooooo good. We ordered a bunch of donuts and a couple of turkey sandwiches. The are heavenly delicious and extremely reasonble in price. The Bismarks are out of this world. The staff was also very courteous. I would stop here anytime if I ever travel to that part of the country again. 5 Stars!!!

I had to do a large cake order from them and they were very accommodating and very reasonably priced. Its well worth the short drive to Coaldale

Dealing with Brenda was very easy which was nice since we had no idea how to handle our event. We got two chocolate caramel cakes and a couple dozen cinnamon buns picked up at three different times and it was seamless! Got nothing but compliments from everyone and hope that we can find a way to work these goodies into each event we take part in from now on.

Amazing quality! Totally worth the drive from Lethbridge as you won't find anything like this shop in town. Easily the best bakery within 100 km. You can tell because it's always busy and often lined up to the doors.

We seen the Coaldale bakery sign driving to Lethbridge & back to brooks daily & couple days before our last trip there(May 26/21) we ordered donuts with filled custard to give to all the fantastic nurses, doctors & all the wonderful pple that wrk in the Radiation department ect. They have a sticker on the box that says “Coaldale Bakery and 80% of them said it’s the best. Also enjoy the SPECIAL of the day or just order a sandwich or soup. Fresh bread with all the condiments u would like & the sprouts were awesome on our sandwich. If we lived a little closer, this is definitely where I’d be getting my fresh bread forsure. This is 1 stop that everyone must check out. Thanks ladies

I wanted Texas toast sliced white bread and Nordic bread at 11:30 in the morning on a Friday. They were sold out of Nordic and would not custom slice a loaf of white bread. Next time I'll stay on the highway and just plan on stopping at Cob's Bread in Lethbridge.

Everything tasted great but they made us feel like we were high maintenance for requesting a new soup. I guess that's what you get at these small town establishments.

Good service but we won't be back to buy the bakery products. What happened to the hamburger buns? They are light and airy, and dry out very quickly. And I was looking forward to sinking my teeth into a famous Coaldale Bakery butterhorn and realized it was a cake donut in disguise.

Love this bakery located next to the Coaldale Food Market with easy access off of highway 3. Included is a deli with fresh homemade soup and sandwiches for takeout or sit in. Your choice... all the fixings too! Grab a treat of fresh bread, croissants, cookies... to take home. Yesterday I had the croissant ham sandwich with cheese, mustard, mayo, lettuce and tomatoes and took home fresh gingersnaps. Yum!
