We greatly appreciate the time and energy Gina and Sonia spent on our application to obtain the study permit extension. I erroneously missed out on some important information in the study permit application form while applying for the visa first time, which could have easily led to the case of misrepresentation and inadmissibility to Canada. It’s so sad that the lawyers at Matkowsky are not transparent enough with their communication, that after months of no communication until prompted, have to ask the judge for a time extension, after they did not submit the application in time for the deadline. Only invoices and “unfortunatelys’”are sent on time… or prior! I’d advise you, to look for another law firm to well represent you, as Matkowsky will cost you too much unnecessary time and money. If I could rate half a star for trying to work with Paul, my family and I gladly would! All the best to you if you’re looking for assistance on the same, and I hope that you won’t have to go through agony close to what this law firm will give you, while only looking to be with the ones you love, and have better life opportunities. There’s also no option to reply to your response for the above; so I’ll do it here… what you’re saying is untrue, and really details about my case representation that may not be necessary to talk about now. My complain review, as is what this section is about is about transparency to better present ones’ ‘case’. When representing a client, this is mandatory and key. Your email responses have not been precise, and you only reached out, since stating that it would take sometime(which you could have stated the reasons why), until yesterday to give a verdict that could have well been considered earlier. It’s best not to make promises earlier on, and be transparent with what is actually happening. I cannot hold these judicial changes against you, but you did not do your job. This is just it! As for the call, it’s really to pass the message verbally, that the verdict was denied, as you did not meet the deadline that you later came to know about. Thank you for taking the time to reply so fast on here.

I hired the firm for a work permit process as I read some reviews online and had a consultation call initially with them and they seemed super competent, I was not disappointed! They were always reachable and I would get a response for any question within 24h, the process went by really smoothly on their side, even though my company took about 2 months to complete the paperwork but once I had everything, my information package was done in 3 business days and I was able to go to the border and get my LMIA exempt work permit quickly. They even gave me some tips for my next process which is gonna be my PR application. The cool part is if you get a consultation call, they deduct that amount from your total bill of services rendered. I didn’t get to visit their offices as I wasn’t in the country yet, but will probably do so for my next process for which I will definitely be using them! Can’t recommend enough.

The best part of it is - Despite I availed their services from India, all my queries were answered within 24 hrs over the email. TLDR; Super visa application got processed in 21 days The super visa application for my mom was rejected due to some mistakes I committed in my application. The communication from CIC was inadequate and I was left in a very precarious position as our baby was due and I really needed my mom for help. I was already at the end of my first Term of online studies when my study permit application was refused for the second time. I am a mature student with three refusals on my study permit and got a tough time with the Visa approval with IRCC appointed foreign Visa Officers in a third world country. Before approaching Matkowsky law firm, I spoke to a couple of Canadian Immigration lawyers based on a google search and reviews posted online. I was getting different approaches to deal with my Student Visa situation from other lawyers. Some of them were very rude when I was returning their missed calls. Some were suggesting me for a direct judicial review. This approach did not convince me. Then finally, I found Matkowsky Law firm after a refined search on google. I started reading the reviews on their website, Facebook, and Google and saw all the complicated cases that this firm successfully resolved. One of the PR misrepresentation cases of an individual from Srilanka successfully solved I was stunned by Sonia Matkowskty. The review, especially about the study permit getting approved the first time by Matkowsky Law firm after the previous two refusals by two different Canadian lawyers, gave me total confidence that this was my ideal law firm. I was not in a position to spend money on multiple lawyers, as is the above case. Then I finally called Matkowsky law firm to book an appointment for a consultation. But, to my surprise, the law firm owner John Matkowsky picked up my phone call, listened patiently to my case, and provided me a perfectly legal solution. They gave alot of information whenever we had questions always got back to us and sent out papers so that i could travel back and forth without problems at the border. I had a criminal inadmissiblity that they could have turned me away for if i had done it on my own but they pleaded my case so that i had no problems with that. Due to covid 19 things were shut down which made my proccess a whole year longer then it would have been but they still got back to me threwout it all helping me get anything done that i could. They go over everything and proof everything you send in to them before forwarding it to make sure you havent left anything out. The only thing i recomend that you know is you pay full price before they start your paperwork if you have the option to save up and pay it all at once is always nice but they do allow you to pay in instollments at what you can till they have it all. My decision to choose MIL will remain one of the best decisions I have ever made. In Jan 2021, I submitted a well prepared Canadian Study Permit application which was refused in May 2021. I had done my research and noted that once an applicant is refused, He/She becomes flagged. I was not prepared to go through that whole route of being refused again and again and again! Moreover, I felt I had a very strong application and weighing the reasons of refusal that was stated, I felt those reasons didn't add up considering the thorough documentation I had presented. Matkowsky and Associates was metiocre at best. I am Canadian and my wife is American and we are living in our respective countries. We dealt primarily with Jesse and he was fantastic in directing us to the outland sponsorship stream and guiding us through form completion and the collection of evidence supporting our relationship. However, after the application was submitted, we were rejected because we were missing a tax document. This should not have been overlooked and as a result, we had to re-submit our application. From there we started dealing with other lawyers at the firm. At this point the level of service went down hill. We had problems with the photos in the application and we did not receive a lot of support. We sent the digital copy of the photo as they offered to print it, but the charge was outrageous. 90 dollars to print and ship. Additionally, there was no mention of a courier fee to send our application to IRCC until 7 months after the fact they sprung it on us. Using their services did not speed u the process in any way and some lawyers are definitely better to work with than others.

Approved Study permit after 1st refusal: After my 1st refusal of a study permit, I was devastated. I looked for some immigration law firms. My case has many complicated things. Hello, I am sharing here my experience with matkowsky law. I applied my Permanent residence by myself, but later in the process I realized I unknowingly forgot to mention important facts relating to my file which could lead misrepresentation or may be 5 year ban. I was in fear because I didn't know I did that mistake. Then I book an appointment with Sonia matkowsky but John picked up the phone, he gave good instructions how they would help me out from the trouble. As I talk to John, I wanted to handle my case by him or Sonia. So John clarify that I should not worry about that and say to me your case gonna handle by our team, and they always provide collective service to their clients. But for the reason they have to assign us with one of their professional to give us updates and responses about our application. In my case, they assigned me with "Nima Chooback" and he gave me excellent service about my case. I was in rushed during the process, he told me to calm down and say we handle much difficult cases than this. He tried to save me from every corner and he put all his efforts for getting good results. It took him 2 weeks to finalize the response for IRCC. Because of him, we submitted proactively response and everything is sorted out. He wrote a professional letter. Now I am permanent Resident of Canada because he shows his efforts in my application. My brother rejected 4 times in last 16 years I see there adds on Facebook and as they says deal with difficult immigration problems. I call them to book an appointment for my brother and 2 days before the meeting they charge me $250 for 30 min on phone appointment. I was hoping they will help me something special but lady we had appointment with she didn't even asky brother history, she didn't even ask the when my brother last time rejected, she didn't even ask which category we applied before. she given me stupid idea I can apply for visiting visa. She's had no idea what's she doing. Totally lost. I wish would give 0 rating. I waste my Money big time

Study Visa got refused even after assurance of getting approved and payment of hefty fees. Ms Oshani was not as prompt as their owner John Matkowsky and we had to escalate numerous times to John for intervention. Things get different after payment is made in full. Certainly not recommended.

I called Matkowsky and Associates after my own attempts to file for permanent residency failed. I spent almost 2 years working on my application, first visiting the government websites, trying the application process myself, and then reaching out to other legal firms for help. I went through the lottery twice only to have my express entry application rejected for very preventable reasons. My Matkowsky case worker was excellent and far better than two other firms that I tried. He always responded quickly and knew the 'ins and outs' of the application process. He also provided clarifications and additional information to the Canadian Immigration Services on my behalf that I would not been able to do on my own. You may hear that it is not necessary to hire an immigration lawyer to get through this process; well I spent a huge amount of time and expense on my own-only to fail. Had I hired Matkowsky from the start I would have gotten my PR card about 2 years sooner, saved countless hours of personal time, and would have saved all of the money I spent on getting duplicate medical checks, police checks, etc. as they all expired while I fumbled around with the rest of the application. Their "consultation" is a way for them make an easy $250. I approached matkowsky to help with a refused PGWP application, instead all I got was ways in which they can't help me and excuses. Find yourself a law firm who is actually willing to help rather than charge you money to waste your time. Also, the lawyer I booked a consultation with arrived 15 mins after the meeting time (very professional!).
