I'm very pleased to write this review, serving two primary functions: first, to thank Abrams and Krochak for their outstanding contribution to the permanent residence application for me and my spouse, and secondly to serve as a referral for anyone looking to retain their services. Initially I was skeptical about going through a law firm where I hadn't spoken to anyone - I talked only to Mr Krochak - just once, over the phone, before I made my first payment of legal fees. All communication has been through email, and the firm is very prompt about responding to email queries in a professional, clear manner within one (1) business day. That's very impressive considering the volume of applicants. This also serves as a record of all communication between clients and the firm itself. Even as I made my first payment, I received the "checklist" which CLEARLY outlined the steps to success. I also received a list of all documents required, with information on how to fill them up. Since they are very methodical in their approach, every set of documents was reviewed for completeness and correctness, and the firm has ensured that each form is correctly filled out, free of errors, up-to-date and clear in presentation. All communication from the CIC was forwarded to me the same day, and help and guidance was available WHENEVER required. The guidance didn't stop with my receiving my PR visa - they also sent me a resource list to get me started in Canada, with links such as job search websites. Here's my take on anyone looking to retain the services of Abrams and Krochak law firm: I have personally done a lot of research, gone through a lot of reviews before signing up with them, and I'm extremely pleased and impressed with the level of commitment, professionalism and drive they've shown with my application. And according to their website, they have a near - perfect success rate; I believe it's all these little things that add up. Considering that immigration laws are subject to constant changes in formats, deadlines etc, it's difficult to keep track of them or know how to approach them. In such a scenario, Abrams and Krochak comes through in doing most of this work so you can rest assured you're sending the most complete and updated application possible. I also learned recently that the company also helps file non immigrant visas for family members etc. To conclude, I'm happy to act as a referral for the law firm and recommend them to anyone trying to apply for Canadian visa or citizenship.

Abrams & Krochak are scam artists. They took the first 3 payments from me, and then completely disappeared. No one would answer my phone calls or emails after they got my money. Even before the company stopped talking to me, they only had some ditzy secretary handling all clients, and I very much believe she must have been on drugs. Seemingly once we paid in full for their services, we stopped getting timely responses. The entire time we have been spoken to like children and made to feel like our questions are foolish. We were told that we'd receive expert care, but have not once felt that. The entire time we've been treated like they're doing us a favour instead of being clients who are paying for their services. At this stage we are held up by an issue which should have been easily caught by their team, but because it wasn't we are seeing a 14-16 week delay.. Updated I have received a response and am awaiting improvement in our treatment and care before removing this post. Second Update Mr Abrams told us after this post that he'd take care of our case personally. After two emails from him we never heard from him again. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere. Having used lawyers for my wife's visa to the US on realize that there are people out there who will value your time and money so it's worth more research if you can skip these guys.

My previous review was flagged/deleted (probably because it contained a link), so I am reposting this. I'll also shorten my original review, but potential clients can contact me directly for more information: Abrams & Krochak is a law firm that misrepresents its services, abandons its client at a crucial point in the case, and flagrantly breaches its own agreements. Do not rely on AK's eligibility assessment. This was my first mistake; use the one provided by the government. Do not believe their claim that they are able to represent clients in Federal Court. This claim was one of the reasons why I hired them, yet when I actually needed this service, they abruptly informed me that they no longer submit applications to the Federal Court (while still advertising on their website that they do). Not once in the period of over a year since I had first retained their services was this change to their services communicated to me. By deliberately delaying to mention this important fact, they left me without enough time to hire another lawyer to represent me. Do not trust their Money-Back Guarantee agreement. According to our agreement, I am entitled to a refund of the legal fees if my application was rejected due to none of the exceptions stated in the agreement (which it was). Astonishingly, they used the fact that I hadn't hired another lawyer to continue my case as a justification to breach this agreement. There's also strong reason to doubt their claims of a near-perfect/near-100% success rate, so I would demand proof of this. I already filed a complaint with the Law Society of Ontario, but it seems that the latter has no problem with their conduct. At this point, I only care about warning you of what you'd be getting yourself into. Based on their advice, I wasted thousands of dollars and countless hours on the application. So, either retain another firm or attempt this process alone, but if you're still determined to go ahead and hire Abrams & Krochak, good luck—because you're definitely going to need it.

Terrible experience with Abrams and Krochak. Two years ago, my husband had hired them to help with his federal skilled workers application. My husband filled out a consultation form with Abrams and Krochak, and based on their questionnaire, he was told he met the minimum points requirement to apply for the federal skilled workers program. Using this advice, my husband quit his job in the U.S. and moved to Canada as a visiter to go through with the application and to job hunt. A few months after being in Canada, my husband was told by Abrams and Krochak that he did not in fact meet the points requirement - this was well after they collected the initial fees. In addition to the misleading advice, we had a terrible experience with the legal assistant, Carrie McLary who was both rude and unhelpful. My husband and I decided to do the application ourselves after my husband became eligible to apply again and it was accepted with no complications! Do yourself a favor, save your money and either hire a different law firm or do it yourself! Update to my review based on Abram & Krochak's response: You were contacted by my husband Omar (and not to mention, you have received payments from me, Lori). He was not my husband at the time we contacted you two years ago, as we recently got married. This is a legitimate review, evidenced by the fact that we have been very specific in describing our experience with your firm, as well as your staff. The question of why I am writing this review and not him is irrelevant - we are writing this review together as a couple as we were both heavily impacted by our poor experience with your firm.

Total waste of time and money, unless your score is really high don't expect them to do anything to help you.They know who have potentials to be chosen from the pool but still at first they tell you that you are eligible for express entry but once you're in the pool suddenly they become honest with you that you're score is too low to be chosen from the pool. 1. Ak canada advertises that it will return the money if the visa application is not successful. 2. Ak canada will only accept calls from new customers and once you have signed the contract they will only reply via email - which will be fine if they answered questions directly as opposed to stating the generic information over and over. 3. To file for Canadian PR visa , there is a pre-requisite that the candidate must fit a job category. It was not clearly stated from the beginning and once I did not fit into any category I was considered as voluntarily rescinding the services of Akcanada. 4. Most of the responses were written by law clerks/assistants and their advice was neither sufficient nor accurate at times. Have I tried to reach out to AK Canada? 1. The only time I got a response from Peter Krochak was when he rejected any claims of returning the money. 2. I understand that Akcanada had put some efforts in sending emails and reviewing filled forms and hence I offered the below: Secondly, in your estimation of billable hours - lots of these emails were sent by your assistants (Joy and Carrie) and I never really got clear answer from them (primary reason for discontinuing the service) and only got canned responses. I don't find the hourly rate of 325$ justified for the work/responses done by your assistants. I again politely request you to return the fees paid to you and deduct a justified amount based on the work done by you (actual lawyer) vs the assistants. NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK !! Bottomline: I am fed up now with sending emails to AK Canada getting only the canned responses and I find the practice of only receiving calls from prospective clients undercutting the advisor role that a law firm ought to be playing in such a sensitive matter of immigrating to a foreign country. I will go further and say that if anyone is thinking of filing for Canadian PR – they stand a better chance of researching and filing themselves (as they will be doing that anyhow – because of generic email responses) as opposed to hiring the legal services from AKcanada.

It was very easy to work with your offices, typically replying to my emails the same day or early the following day. Answering all of our questions with simplified answers to help us understand what exactly we needed to do in our paperwork. The help you provided when you re-did all of our paperwork in the proper way was excellent. The fact that you mailed our application out in early January and we were able to be done with the process in mid May was unbelievable. This company is totally fraud. they send you email telling that they charge 300 CAD for consultation and they will talk to you over a call, but the moment you transfer your money to them , they will immediately send you email that you can ask your questions via email and they will answer them and if needed , you have to arrange a call and that too not a skype consultation. You need to call their office and it doesnt matter if its a oversees call, and I am sure not all have that facility. I want a refund! I would definitely warn every other reader not to consult these lawyers. If you are willing to part with your money and forget about it, be my guest. They will waste your time, keep you going around in a circle of paying fee, waiting, may be a brief discussion of your case and again demanding fee. My case remained at a standstill for months, no progress at all being made. I believe they probably never opened that file either. It is hard to believe how can they blatantly lie about their success, ask people to put fake reviews on google showering praises on their work. They have zero sense of morality or work ethics. I had to let go of the money I had already spent, the time I had lost and find a new lawyer for myself. I suffered a lot of stress due to the delay with the opposite party gaining out of it. What could have been easily done was made more difficult for the next lawyer, all because of their inaction. I would end by saying, do not trust these guys, find some other lawyers, any lawyers but them.
