The experience I had with the firm was terrible. There was a SERIOUS breakdown in communication between client and lawyer and lawyer assistants. Important basic information like court appearance dates, opposition affidavits and court orders were not being forwarded. Emails and phone calls were ignored for days. At one point, the lawyer went away on a holiday and a week went by as I waited for a reply. No one at the office thought it prudent to let clients know, either through auto reply via email or on voice message, that the lawyer was away on holiday. Scheduled meetings first thing in the morning were delayed by 30-40 minutes due to the lawyer not showing up. When meeting to discuss these issues with Lorne MacLean himself, he was unhelpful and rude, and he added that as a show of understanding, he would not charge me for his time to listen to my concerns. Thank goodness because he charges $600 and hour. I expected much more from such an expensive firm, but they seem to have lost touch with basic client needs and services. The final bill for TERRIBLE service was extraordinary.

First when i all started i went through couple of lawyers at different firms who i just thought wasn't listening to me and kept telling me how much they cost. i decided to call Maclean law in Surrey and they directed me to Aman Kahlon. She was very straight forward and kind. She and her team walked me through everything and kept me informed. She fought for us and put in extensive time and efforts to get us more than we could have ever hoped for. She was our lawyer but became our friend. The downside of this is that court is now complete and I don't get to talk to her on a daily basis. She has given myself, my spouse, and our boys what we deserve.
