After I confirmed costs and they sent all probable costs to me I cancelled my deal with my previous lawyer since he had not been honest about costs again, then these people added another 500 CAD (for time constraint which they had already known) to their fees! I cancelled the deal right away... but no one took responsibility!

Fast, affordable, efficient. I had a pleasure working with Manroj on the purchase of my new house. I am happy with the service provided by the firm towards my first house purchase. Although the clerks are most of the time busy and hard to get connected over the phone but once they get connected they will clarify your doubts. Also I found they are very patient enough to clarify my doubts. The feedback for the staff is to get connected to the client before hand and not rush near the closing date and also there are many first time home buyers who wants the guidance over verbal communication than emails.

I have used this firm twice now and will not be using them again in the future. My closing date had to be pushed back due to an error on their part. As an office that specializes in real estate law/transactions, simple transactions should go without a hitch. Unfortunately, that was not the case with me. It seemed to me that they didn't pay attention to the details and didn't ensure that the file was complete until it was too late. Their convenient mobile signing service is the only positive about the firm.

Very responsive and quick to act team. Our first time buying a home and they made it very easy. EDIT: posted a 5 star review for 100 discount, however I had a problem post closing and they were terrible handling it. When the lawyer sent over the outline of fees, I noticed that we were paying the sellers a lot of the property tax back, I assumed they had prepaid for the entire year but the amount was still half of what I expected for the entire year, (I figured they had paid half of the year and let them know I think the percentage to be paid was wrong, they had stayed in the house from Jan-May so 5months, if they paid half the tax that year we should only be paying them back for 1/6 the amount, however the lawyers extended this to throughout the year so we repaid them back over half of what they paid). I was a first time buyer so I knew something was off but figured these lawyers do these deals on a daily basis and there was so much going on, so I left it. They must know what they're doing right? WRONG. 2 weeks after closing things calmed down and I went over the calculations again and I knew something was wrong, emailed them and told them I think I overpaid the seller due to x,y,z all they said was wait until you get the tax bill then talk to us. I got the tax bill a month after moving in and surprise, it was for the second half of the year. Emailed them right away, they said they would contact the sellers lawyer and get back to me, 3 weeks go by, no response. I email again, they say still trying to get in touch with them, 2 weeks go by, no response. I'm told to be patient because I have to give them time. I email the manager of all the firms and let them know it's been almost 2 months waiting for this issue To be solved, 2 days later I get an email saying that since I got title insurance they will be paying me out. Took 2 months to solve an issue that should have taken 1-2 weeks. I would avoid at all costs, terrible service.

I don't usually leave bad reviews on public forum but I wish to warn other potential homebuyers and people looking for mortgage refinance/renewals about the possible drawbacks. Pros: 1. They made me feel like everything is okay and will be handled Prior to the closing 2. Affordable Cons: 1. They didn't actually close on time (My mortgage closing was delayed by more than a week) 2. They didn't actually update me when something went wrong (When it became clear that they would not be able to close on time, nobody replied to my emails or calls and nobody gave update on status) 3. It was a very stressful process for me because there was no update from them. Suggestions: If you sense something is about to go wrong, email the Founding & Managing Partner Shayle Rothman (I feel like he's the only person who cares about the firm)
