However, the actual consultant was tardy to the call and provided rather vague answers to some of our questions. While the firm does state that the consultant may not end up being your representative, the person we were paired up with didn't seem like the right match to consult on a case like ours. The experience, unfortunately, didn't instil in us the confidence we were seeking. Following the appointment, Bellissimo contacted me for feedback. Talked to Mario D Bellissimo last year in feb 2021 when my mothers TRV was refused. Found him very knowledgeable and the very thing that stood out was that he knew about my community and told me an underlying reason for this refusal. However He gave us some options and we decided to try our luck with Super Visa for my mother as she wanted to come and meet me. Unfortunately it was refused again in Dec 2021 and it seems that Visa Officer did not have a look at our documents and explanations. With heavy heart, I went back to Mario Bellissimo and he was joined by Ally (associate lawyer) who told us that we are not done here and are ready to take it for JD as this might be a good option. Ally went through the whole consultation and she was good at it. Mr Mario answered the questions I had during my consultation. I would suggest that before the meeting come prepared and write all your questions you need to ask. I had some more questions after my call got over which I took to Fabiola and she was quick to confirm those from the lawyer. As far as their fee is concerned I think it varies case to case and is not unreasonable compared to other law firms. Once you do consultation they will be able to quote their fee. I decided to go with BLG because I take my comfort from the very fact that Mario Bellissimo is a specialist and there are only handful of CS out there. I put my trust behind him and his team. I am happy so far with BLG and I hope they will be able to take up this fight to the very end and try their best to get things working in our way with their expertise. God Willing ! They charge the most fees, while providing the least amount of service! A potential employer of mine selected Bellissimo to draw up the paperwork for a NAFTA visa. I had been looking into immigration lawyers on my own separate from this, and Bellissimo was the worst experience I had. First, Bellissimo charged for the initial consultation, whereas the other immigration lawyers offered it for free. Secondly, Bellissimo wanted about 2.5x the amount of money as the other highly-rated lawyers I spoke with (Other lawyers were $1000 and $1200 total cost, Belissimo wanted $2500 from the employer plus $1500 from me personally, which wasn't even in the same ballpark as any other employer I looked at - this was on top of the fee for the initial consultation). My research indicates it is abnormal to charge the employee a fee for this (with the employer paying the total cost, typically $1000-$1500 total) Third, when I asked about what exactly they were doing for the $1,000 fee I had to personally pay, they were evasive. Best I can tell, this was a money grab and the answer is almost nothing. But the icing on the cake was during the (PAID!) initial consultation I asked the attorney how importing my belongings to Canada worked, the answer I received was "That's a custom's question, I'm an immigration attorney" - while that's a technically correct answer, the two things go hand-in-hand, and I felt the message that was delivered was quite rude. Overall, I got more value out of a free consultation with another lawyer than the paid consultation with Bellissimo, and thankfully ended up doing the NAFTA visa with another law group. Between the high cost, the evasiveness, and the attitude, I would recommend people go elsewhere.

So, Bellismo is basically the main lawyer who everyone wants to speak to for the expert opinion. He charges a hefty amount which is $350 and asks for valid id proof before the interview. The staff in the office pretend that the main lawyer is very busy always and they can squeeze us into a very peculiar timing it seems. So the environment is created basically to show off which is understandable. Now, we will be eager to speak to main lawyer after a brief waiting for 4--5 days and surprisingly the main lawyer does not turn up. He sends his junior to study the case for 45 mins. He notes down some points somewhere or probably he is sharing the screen with Bellismo (hiding) . The junior lawyer says , he will pass on the discussion to Bellimso and we are kept on waiting for 10 mins. At just 5 mins left the main guy comes along with his junior like a zoom meeting. Unless he finds there is a high chance to win the case he does not show any energy or give any points. He slows down and shows a pathetic face meaning" there is no option left". I had a similar experience when 3 of my friends all of whom (who lost $350 ) had this experience. Initially, i just let go, but with this kind of attitude and no help or giving any points at all , it's just a rip off. To contradict him, we went to another lawyer, and he said very positively, he is willing to fight and the lawyer gave us options too. Henceforth, i am back on track and can concentrate on my work. He also told one of my relative that she cannot speak good English, therefore, she can go back to her country!. How is that possible when she has lived in United Kingdom for so long and of course, if there is a problem like that, she can always learn or go for a coaching. How can he determine within 5 mins of an interview? Is he a English teacher or a Lawyer? My heartfelt thinking is please do not spend on this lawyer as you get only 5 mins of his invaluable time and a very bad attitude which will discourage you.[ When we spend $350 the main lawyer must come and talk in that online meeting unless we are satisfied he cannot let go us]. That's all i have to say.

Unprofessional, Useless, and Incompetent! If you want to spend 175$ to have someone read facts from the cic website to you, Bellissimo Law Group is the best place to consider. Usually you seek professional immigration advice when your case is not straight forward, hoping the lawyer would put some options on the table for you; but as it turned out Bellissimo Law Group is only able to help those who don't know how to use the internet to check cic website or call cic call center. I had set my expectation high, as it was a charged service but in the end I was repulsed by their lack of organization and unprofessional attitude. I asked for a phone consultation. They did not call me at the agreed consultation time. I had to call them and wait on hold for 15 minutes while they figured out what was going on, as it did not seem that they were expecting my call, even though I had paid the day before. When I was finally in contact with an adviser, I was provided with the exact information already available from the cic website. She didn't know the answer to a lot of my questions. After asking seemingly simple questions, I was put on hold for another 10-15 minutes, so she could go ask other employees about my questions! In the end, I wasted 175$ and 35 minutes of my cell air time only to hear things I already knew from skimming through the cic website. I would not recommend seeking their service unless you are unable to read the information yourself on the cic website.

It took exactly 10 years since I first applied to immigrate to Canada. Since then ever the rules were tightening and becoming more specific and tougher. But the problem something else: It was how the approaches of law officer becoming conservative and preservative. I applied a couple of times on my own, and a couple of times with tow other lawyers. Although I studied a lot and gained a lot of information, still I needed a guide, an upper hand. I went to a general lawyer, one very very famous. What happened? I had a complication. Everybody said you do not have a chance. You are done. The whole dream disappeared in a glance of eye. What happened was not absolutely true But I did not have any voice. Then I found Mr. Mario Bellissimo was the SPECIALIST. Thanks God I was introduced to him, surprisingly through the same very famous GENERAL lawyer. I was shown with facts by Mr. Mario. He did not give any false hope with, but clear aspect of what had happened and the possible steps. Mr. Mario is truly a selected lawyer for a reason. He has a very welcoming attitude, patient to hear your concerns, available as much as it is needed, (consider you are not the only client and his court appearances and etc.), and above all he knows what he does and how the system works. Frankly speaking I had ONLY ONLY two people ready to help me in my case. One was the celebrity lawyer and Mr. Mario (both top 20 lawyers in Canada (not only in immigration law) and probably in North America). To be honest, I chose Mr. Mario because the fee was right. Now it is two months I have landed with my family. You can not imagine how important was the role of the lawyer, because I was almost nothing in front of the law, especially because I was not having any feet in Canada in any ways, (I was neither a permanent resident, nor a Citizen, nor inside the country). And whole my life desire was sunken under unfortunate circumstances. He has a very professional team working around, from accountant, front office, executive assistance, other lawyers, and basically everyone in the office of the group are helpful and to the point. I am sure this again goes back to his fine selection. Remember your file or case is a team work and require YOU as a client to be on the subject, on time, accurate, following up step by step to embrace the sweet successful result like mine. All of us were in ONE team sporting for the same result. You, as the represented person have a role, too. My complication was caused by myself. My mistakes taught me: In such an important and fine matters, either you do the job in a right manner with the right people or DON'T DO it at all, simply because what you do wrong or what turns wrong will be recorded forever. My wife and I had been separated for nearly 7 years. I came to the office and spent more than 30 minutes with 3 different people to complete the file and documents needed. About 2 years ago I was refused entry at the border of Canada (I'm from the middle east), for different reasons (I was unemployed at the time, I had not travel plan, I said that I'm considering to study in Canada but didn't know anything about education institutes in Canada, etc). After talking with 6-7 immigration consultants, and many lawyers, I got to the conclusion that the best chance I have is with Bellissimo. Also got recommendations from Canadian friends, other lawyers, etc, most recommended Bellissimo. After consulting with maybe 10 professionals, I understood my chances to win this case are very low, and I was prepared to go to court and appeal (in case my visa request will be refused). Also I understand that although my case is not the "hardest case" in the world (not criminal or something like that), it's hard enough for a serious law firm, and will be (the case) too much for a single immigration consultant. I contacted Bellissimo, and paid for consultation call with a lawyer. The lawyer (Bellissimo), was very emphatic, and explain me in details all the problems with the case, my chances, and most of what I needed to know at the time. I've decided to take Bellissimo services for my case. It took many months of serious work, on my side and their side (some of the delays were from my side). Bellissimo told me in different opportunities that my chances are extremely slim. I got the feeling that (not sure if it was said clear-cut) they suggest I'll drop the case, and they don't want to waste my money (not sure if they said it in those words, but I got the feeling they think it's pointless). I know for sure that Mario Bellissimo himself was involved in my case as well. Most of my work was with Michelle, senior immigration consultant. BLG, along with a number of other law firms, were challenging the new Section 10 revocation provisions among others of the Citizenship Act as amended by the Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act. The hearings took place in the fall of 2016 in Toronto. They won! However, this is not the end of the battle. Government changed their procedures again, another letter was sent out to me on Mar2018. I was glad that this letter arrived after my birthday this time, at lease I can have a nice and peaceful birthday this time.
